yes, it's dead ...

Hmm...maybe ViceRoy reported them lol.  Anyway, I hope it's temporary.  Given the timing with the LR arrests, I fear it isn't temporary.  Their server isn't just down - the info necessary to access the site has been pulled from their DNS servers.  Could be that their DNS server just happens to be down, but I doubt it.  http://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/fastcash4bitcoins.com

Not a good sign.

I thought there would be one of those FBI/DHS images on libertyreserve.com but it's just down...

I have no idea how they made any business, they should be paying us to accept paypal and checks and not 4% in their favor. Regardless, I don't know how they maintained a paypal account at all.

It's very sad that this is the mentality of many of the people on here.  These guys provided a great service, and if they are gone they will be missed.  I have a solution that will make your life much happier though: if you don't like a service, don't use it. You'll never again have to complain about how "they should pay you".

i would like to have more information about why the site is now offline.

Most likely because Preet Bharara didn't get laid enough last week and decided to start indicting these sites.  That's what happens when these idiots feel attention starved.

I think it's just a DNS problem, The site comes up fine by i.p.

70.34.195.202

Can anyone confirm this to be the correct IP?

Confirmed, that is the correct site IP. Pulls up just fine via IP.

Firefox says certificate not valid ...

IP is not confirmed ...

beware !!!

Have you tried to go to the site? I just tried it and it seems fine. I have not typed in any info. If you're unsure of the IP address, just wait for TC to confirm.

It's only 9:30AM in Virginia (Where D&T lives).  I think you should all take a chill pill and wait for D&T to answer, or resolve the technical glitch that is probably at his hosting supplier.

It's a DNS issue.  It happens.  No big deal.  You will get a certificate error when using the IP address because thats how SSL works.  Stop the FUD.

No Greendot "asked" us not to offer that as  a payment method.  Only authorized GreenDot agents can sell MoneyPaks.

Sorry it is just a DNS issue.  Working on it now.  I guess I picked the wrong day to sleep in.

Damn registrars.  Once this is fixed I am moving all DNS services to independent nameservers.  We are moving all our domains to namecheap (because they support Bitcoin payments).  I personally contacted our existing registrar and asked them to keep the entries in the nameserver active.  Was assured the existing entries would remain active for 30 days.  Long story short.  They weren't.  When the domains transferred, the entries were deleted from the existing nameserver and the old registrar won't restore them.  We have begun the slow move of DNS propagation to our new registrars nameservers but it may take up to 24 hours before all clients have connectivity restored.

Sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused.  Even when you plan ahead ....  I would recommend NOT accessing the site by IP address directly.  It will work however there is no way to authenticate that the site is valid.  I can tell you the site is valid but if an attacker compromised this forum account that is exactly what he would tell you.  I disabled all new orders so people won't engage in unsafe practices trying to beat the rush.

Hey Tangible I have a quick question for you.  I made a sales order yesterday for PayPal and for some reason it took a little over the 15 mins for the btc to get sent over.  The btc is confirmed via your website but it still shows as expired as of last night before your site went down.  How long before I get the btc refunded so I can try again when you have more funds?  Or will it still be honored and I just have to wait more?  I did this all yesterday morning/early afternoon so I am just curious how long it will take to get my btc back or the sales order to get funded.

Thanks

I'll send a PM with my account info.  I didn't write down the order number yesterday since I didn't think the site would be down lol.  I don't know the order number as I can't access my account right now.

FYI you can't send any emails to you since the site is down.  It just continues to fail sending.

Yeah that will require propagation of new nameservers as well.  Fun fun fun.
