PayCon diff has steadily stabilized relative to how wild it was before. Two weeks ago it was not uncommon to see dips down to 0.01 diff and now you are lucky if you see diff drop below 0.05. Although us stakers do like low diff and easy stake, we do have to remember strong diff and strong security should be the long term goal.

I have been working on building in Windows the last few days. I was caught a little off-guard in the sense that a few weeks ago I moved cities and then the restaurant I was working was/is opening a new restaurant here, the head chef and a few of the sous chefs asked me if I wanted to apply before I left so after a few weeks I did but started the very next day (3 days ago). The last few days we've been doing dry-runs, opening day is Tuesday so has kept me rather busy, next couple days I have off and as far as I can tell the only part I still need for my Windows build kit is the qrencode. I want to build for Windows myself so I can work out these minor issues, Linux is easy to build for but I don't want to have to rely on others to build for me.

I think at the moment I am focusing on cleaning up minor bugs such as figuring out where that Bluish-White display bug is and also the memory issue I have been seeing (using more memory than it should) along with reducing orphans, after that I want to move on to some more complex stuff. Once I get the Windows build out of the way as well I may see about trying to compile on Mac as well and see how that goes. I used to have an iPhone if that helps but I think android is waaaayy better than iPhone.

I remember seeing a Coin that did a POS type lottery recently, so that may be something really good to add or focus more on how to parse addresses so that later on down the track we can reset the Blockchain with all the same balances in a CLAMS type of distribution.

I believe it was nodecoin. I got stuck with the windows build on a 64 bit system so ended up installing a 32 bit on my other system to build today so will see if that does the trick.

hi to all.... i've been out for the last month and im getting back to normal tomorrow or so, so i will start to sync my wallet, but i wonder how hard is to get new coins? i mean, 1 month ago i had to have at least 1000 coins to get 30 coins in 3 days, but now how much would i need?... i made 8 parts each with 1000 coins, would it be enough? i will buy another 8k coins to get it faster but for you all ,that have more experience than me on this, what is the best way to split your coins? i would really thank your answers.  Smiley

It depends.
If you make them 1k, you'll stake quicker but you'll have less imputs.
Having more smaller blocks on the other hand will have them to stake later, but since you have more imputs you have more chances to stake.

Hasn't been too hard and I prefer smaller Blocks under 500 than larger ones of 1000, it is a bit harder than it was a month ago. Maybe we can think about increasing the Staking rewards soon?

Not sure I follow. Why would increasing the daily supply be a positive thing at this particular point in time?
Had some issues with my laptop while I was traveling, just got home.

edit: sent you 5k the other day. I saw on c-cex that you were having wallets built Smiley I meant to send it to your other address fyi

I've been trying to setup my build for Windows but it's a pain in the ass. I really hate Windows, so much. I can compile Linux in like 5 minutes but Windows I have so many problems. I've been stuck with upnp problems for like a week atleast.

I was thinking about increasing the rewards in the way that in another few months the distribution should be equal enough that it could support a bit of higher inflation and then once we hit the 1 year mark to reset the chain with a 10:1 swap and do it all over again.

I would want to perfect the wallet before all of that, the thing I think about is that as you get into 1-2 years of transactions you get long sync times and that is a hindrance.

Well the thing I think about is that there are many old Coins which have very large Blockchains and so people justify it being so large but yet it limits new people from joining in. I'm talking atleast 8-12 months from now so we could start planning and having everything setup with lots of notice, everyone likes high reward Coins so you could keep those high rewards and just do a stock split every once in a while and shrink the Blockchain at the same time. In order to do it, it would have to be redeemable automatically with the same private keys similar to Clams.

Any idea can be good, it's about how it's implemented and if it's equal among holders.

with blocks under 500?? uhmm... how long would it take for those blocks to stake then?, because if itslike that i would double my imputs...  Smiley Smiley
