Great work with the new wallet, can't wait to try it out. Btw even if i sold half my con my stakes are still consistent, thanks to your tips Just curious, the bring-up-rewards-and-make-a-fork/swap is gonna be a thing? I'll answer more on that tomorrow when I have more time. I have updated github for Version 2.0 (small fix), and committed the changes to Github and updated the OP, I have some more work to do on it but includes the latest updated wallets. PayCon has released Version 2.0.0 (July 14th, 2015) -automatic TOR integration - New Clients should upgrade to version 2.0.0 in order to connect to the rest of the network through TOR. TOR is a public and anonymized network which aids in privacy of transactions and security of the network. Combine threshold set as a default as 100 Coins and 14 days, this means that once your Blocks are older than 14 days and Stake with less than 100 Coins, it will combine multiple Blocks under 100 within the same Stake input until over that amount. You also now have the option to change your combine threshold amount from 100-1000 Coins by adding combinethreshold= *100-1000* to your PayCon.conf file -Hashettings and the timedrift between Stakes reduced to 45 seconds from one minute in the drift allowed between Stakes in order to reduce orphans and you can change the settings in your RPC console using the "hashsettings" command. Going in completely blind but could it have something to do with this? #define SENTINEL_LEN sizeof(uint32_t) Ok thank you, first make sure you have this dependency installed apt-get install libevent-dev Install that and try again and let me know if you are still running into the same errors. What I mentioned before the rewards and swap is that as we get the code more situated and distributed that we can look at how we can retain the high inflation over time and trim off extra meat off the Blockchain. As long as the money supply is not going to be reaching more than a billion or two in Coins, it should be fine to increase the rewards as most every Coin is tied to BTC and other Coins. I think we could do both, increase the rewards at some point (4-6 months from now), and then take a snapshot of the chain and load the balances onto a new Blockchain 4-6 months after that from a lower money supply point (10:1 swap) but I think we'd have to have how the swap might work and have it automatic before doing either.

I'm not sure because this will change the dynamic of Staking with the allowance of smaller Blocks, so as more people Stake with smaller Blocks it would push up the difficulty and would need to use larger Blocks in order to compensate, I would guess that at the moment the highest yielding would be around 200-600 with more in the lower end for more Blocks.

Love the new wallet. Love the new direction. This coin is good enough not to have to be a contrast to any other. Great Job.

I think for the moment I want to make sure this new update is sorted and everyone gets updated. Exchanges and services are going to need to be upgraded in order to connect through TOR by default so I'd like to make sure it's as smooth as possible and then can move on to more exchanges. Love the new wallet. Love the new direction. This coin is good enough not to have to be a contrast to any other. Great Job. Thank you, I had people asking me about it but I really liked the name and everything so could be solved easily by just evolving the logo and I think it's really all you need to not let the contrast hold it back. I think PayCon is a much better designed Coin in all aspects, I'd say it's one of the top 20 and Team PayCoin has even pulled code from PayCon in order to fix some problems

So, i'm at a deadpoint with the Pi. I was considering the idea of going full Vps. I currently have some masternodes on a Vps, and i could have all my other wallets there too. Though i was thinking, if i backup my wallet.dat am i always safe?

For me the goal would always be able to shift over and connect through to the cloud, it would make the most sense because you can connect to it anywhere and it's instant. If you have the uptime and connection to the network you can just update your wallet by scanning for new transactions and when you make transactions it happens on both instances, then remove the updated wallet for future use. I think a VPS is as safe as the trust in your own security measures, TOR and other obfuscation methods would help a lot, stealth transactions would be as asset as well and more recently there has been a new type of passwordless login designed based on cryptography (like QRcode passwords).

you may want to check with Cryptsy, I doubt they will connect through TOR. I'll try to find out about that

you may want to check with Cryptsy, I doubt they will connect through TOR. I'll try to find out about that It should connect automatically through TOR and hide your IP address, I don't see why Cryptsy would need to connect through TOR for all their clients, it should just do it for the CON network. This is still very new to me as well.

This new wallet is really, really nice. The new themes are amazing, all of them. These are exciting times. Cres, sent you 20k(15k and 5K) Oh thank you I really appreciate that. I think of PayCon as the project at which many other Coins will be measured against. I have worked hard to help bring the vision of what I have imagined PayCon to be and that will pay off, not just for me but for the absolute best people around. I want PayCon to be a multi-billion dollar Cryptocurrency, do you feel that hunger? because I do and we will make that happen. PayCon is hands down one of the best Cryptocurrencies the world over and people will see that and do see that when they take the time to look. I have been thinking a lot about lately about how we can do mobile integration. My caveat with android and mobile has been that in order to do mobile that you need to store the entire chain as well as update Android or IOS wallets with any update but that is not really something that would be beneficial because that would be memory and space intensive. I think that the best bet for mobile would be to focus more on the cloud and private VPS in which you can connect securely because if you can connect securely to a wallet in which can Stake then there can always be full connections and can connect to multiple Coins rather than just one, the space and CPU load then is based upon where it is hosted rather than on the specific device.

I had talked to Horus about getting PayCon added about a month and a half ago and I'd like to get it added to Cryptsy. It should be something they would want to add because they mentioned that they think of their market in terms of that it costs them about $900 in costs of adding a Coin so they only want to add something in which would have recoup those costs over the life of the Coin and CON would recoup those costs considering it has been the highest volume market on C-Cex since it's inception (average per day) and has everything they are looking for in a Coin like constant evolution, good distribution, no major premine, good communication and community. I'll see if I can get in contact with BitJohn or Mullick, I talked to them a fair bit last year about all kinds of stuff so maybe it might help persuade them to add it to the exchange.
