These is a max coin cap? Never knew that lol

From the first thread:

Specs
X13 - POS/POW
Block Time 60 Seconds
Max Money 20,000,000
Diff adjust per block

The supply now is 13,8m so 6.2m left.
6.2m/30 coins=~206k blocks.
60 seconds*206k=206k minutes=~3400 hours=~143 days

In the source code You can find this in the main.h, line 41:
static const int64_t MAX_MONEY = 20000000 * COIN;

Not sure about it, after the coin switched to fixed 30 con per stake it might have changed. Plenty of time to keep staking even if there is supply cap.

I dont think that is the case. Most likely just a small mistake in the original post. Smiley

I'm pretty sure that:
Code:
static const int64_t MAX_MONEY = 20000000 * COIN;
does not mean what you think it does.

It is commonly mistaken as the maximum number of coins that can be produced, but that is not actually the case.  The constant MAX_MONEY actually caps transaction size and not total coin supply.  The behavior of the wallet based on MAX_MONEY is just to refuse any transactions that are attempting to send more then that number of coins.  This is why several altcoins that were supposed to be capped based on the developer's misunderstanding of MAX_MONEY have gone over their stated total coin supply.

Because of this, CON staking will not end in 5 months.  Based on the current code in main.cpp, it will go on with a reward of 30 + fees indefinitely unless the code is changed in the future or if I missed something in the code pertaining to GetProofOfStakeReward.

I checked the full source now and maybe You're right. That max_money looks like only used for consistency checking and is not meant to be part of the minting design.
In this case Crestington should change the minting reward to 0 after block ~625000

Why so? Con inflation isn't crazy, i'd say it's about right.

2.  Confirms rewards?
3.  Average reward?

Give it a rest, in every thread same post.

Welcome back Crestington! What is Your opinion about the total supply cap?

We should make some discussing with Bittrex the possibility of adding PayCon. Wink
