a dividend of about 0.17-0.18 is my estimate over the next three months, assuming we only sell 1/2 of all the chips produced, and we meet expectation for self mining and franchise mining.

You know that 0.17-0.18 over 3 months (12weeks) gives us ~3.5 BTC share price ... let's see

That would be impressive but were only accounting the dividends from the chips not including the future R@D for Gen 4
Which hopefully will be faster since they are specializing on chip production now

Fuckers, fake div news.  Undecided I nearly had a heart attack:

My wallet was corrupted a few weeks ago and didn't had a very recent backup (never backed up my wallet after I bought direct asicminer shares, I know... Stupid)
I already checked and all my BTC was still in my old backup (you know, the client pregenerates some addresses)
I even checked by signing if I still owned my asicminer share address, and I did

When I read the news I couldn't see the div in my wallet...

Nope. My calculations included a 25% of all profits reserved for future capital. Capital that would no doubt be used to pay for things like GEN 4 development. The dividend estimates are after that capital has been taken.

My memory eludes me.  Gen3 chips hash at 10GH/s right?  https://twitter.com/RockMinerInc/status/456327219724312576 says the R-box is 4-chips at 40GH/s, which sounds about right.

Then, why does the miner at https://twitter.com/RockMinerInc/status/461891800907522050 hash at 24.6GH/s?  2.5 chips???

It's about 12GH/s, but it depends on voltage.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

Rockminer's own results published 14 May.

Results:

•Board:one chip testing board
•Frequency:360Mhz
•Volt:0.72V
•Hashrate per chip:11.52Ghash
•Power consumption:6.375W per chip
•Power consumption per Ghash:6.375/11.52=0.5539W/Ghash
•After power supply changeover:0.5539/81% = 0.684W/Ghash(at blade)
•Power consumption on wall:0.684/0.8 = 0.855W/G •Adding other components loss about 1KW/Thash

I'd of called the R-box the Bit Mac. Looks like a Big Mac. Get it? Ugh.... where's those divs?

why no div?

Dividends are due out May 27th.

Jesus Christ, this is driving me crazy. Read the fucking thread. Or just visit http://friedcat.info if you want a TL;DR. And if you can't even be arsed to read the little bit of text on that page, you probably shouldn't be fucking investing in this space.

Swear to god, if one more asshole comes in here asking "when are dividends coming out," well... I'll probably just post all pissed-off again, because that's the only thing I can do short of just ignoring them. :-p

If you need someone to hold your hand, if you can't do your own goddamn research, you deserve to get your ass handed to you.

I see what you did there... :-D

Seriously, I don't know why I let it bother me so much. Maybe I'm just frustrated that ASICMINER can't be arsed to put together a simple line of communication that isn't as abjectly useless as this goddamn forum thread. They're a multi-million dollar company and they don't have a website, or even a mailing list. I put together that fucking stupid ASICMINER Watch site in about three hours, and that's including the time spent dicking around with a new CSS framework that I eventually ditched. A MailChimp list would be even quicker. But no... we're stuck on this goddamn forum thread.

Those motherfuckers. They're the only motherfuckers in the mining space I trust at all right now, which is why I own shares, but they're still terrible at communication. And 90% it comes from the fact that this is their official line of communication.

Someone needs a free hug....

But seriously, thanx for "Friedcat Says"..   It does help those who have to wallow through almost 1000 pages of dribble..

On the PR side, I think that you really just have to chill.. I'd rather less communication and more success than vice-versa..    I"m sure it's a bit of a security thing for Friedcat..  Obviously with massive amounts of chips already sold, he has no problem communication with buyers, and has always been happy to answer questions submitted by Minerpumpkin and others, via shareholders.

*Personally, I find the Asicminer thread here to be a thousand fold better than the drama that plays out in other threads...   Perhaps because it's full of adults, or at least children who know how to control themselves..      (reference:  ActiveMining, Labcoin, or any of the major asic vendors in regards to 'refunds'.)

Any div predictions?   Cool

 Random thoughts:

1) Major Asic manufacturers  (Those with the ability to print the chips for pennies per g/h)..  are setting up industrial mines, but to my knowledge, they are all privately owned..

2) ASICMiner is the only Asic manufacturer that is partially publicly owned  ( Either privately traded or via traded via Havelock).

3) There are only (approx) 400,000 shares TOTAL.  (A very small number honestly in the corporate/stock world)

4) Friedcat has the foresight to set aside Divs to cover 2 years of Lab and employee costs out of the 'Gen1',  to  fund (paid for already)  Gen 3 AND 4.

5) He pioneered 'franchise mining' and has NEVER done Pre-orders.   Both directly benefiting shareholders.

6) He has planned for the most cost-effective mining environment possible with immersion cooling, forward planning where costs become critical to success.

I don't know of any other Major ASIC vendor/manufacturer that's planned this far ahead, Paid for, with $ in the Bank.

How can we NOT go to the moon?   Ignore the current trading values for shares.    Friedcat is a long term kind of thinker.  You can bank on it.

   Cool
