Yep. The mining dividend is always the "big known". Its the hardware sales that are the exciting bit. How long you reckon before payments go out? Its Thursday in 55 minutes here Smiley

It varies. Here it's 6 pm, and the dividends in the last 3 weeks were handed out at 8:52 pm (most recent), 10:15 pm and 5:18 pm respectively. So I'd guess anytime between now and the next 4 hours.

I guess we press F5 too often, block chain is down now for me.  Cheesy

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

Blockchain will soon request that AM shareholders stop indirectly DDoSing by constantly checking AM wallets...

Is anyone else concerned about the declining BTC price which is now about $84 on MtGox?

It is about 15% lower than the price at last week's dividend payout which was around $100 per BTC.

If the dividend comes in at 0.025 BTC, the corresponding value would be about 0.02.

Thoughts?

I would think that the declining BTC value is built into the increasing price of AM shares by those investing.

I imagine everyone of us is concerned but its not like something we have any control over.

Its a matter of belief really. If you believe bitcoin can & probably will disrupt the world of finance, the price will over time reflect that belief. You don't sweat every rise or drop.

If you don't believe bitcoin will disrupt anything, you're on the wrong forum  Grin

When BTC suddenly drops 15%, then in dollar terms the price of a share is also 15% cheaper. Grin

When BTC drops 15% - I get scared to drink my starbucks in the morning... dropping $20k a day is scary! Thankfully ASICMINER's price and dividends are keeping me level.

Making Apps and Websites for people. I charge reasonable rates ($30-40/hour in BTC).

I would say price.
Dividends are not that great, some other securities may deliver about 10x.

May? Which ones do now? 260% APR? I'll jump on that.

There's at least one doing 0,5% per day as of now.

EDIT: reasonably ASICMiner will give about 0,5% per week.
