yeah seriously..  get a few thousand of these out there for cheap,  i am sure even at 100-200% mark up, they will fly out the door,  it will be a win for the shareholders, a win for the community, and another blow to BFL.

Really nice... i think if those are auctioned too it would allow the small users to buy a miner too. But i dont know if it really will maximize the revenue for Asicminer because it looks like way more work has to be done for one single chip. On the other hand... if the real miners are too big then only few can afford it which would lead to a lower price per GH.
I hope you find a balanced result. Smiley

I hope thats not going to be the only one you're selling. I'd like to buy one of the full scale boards you've been racking. Even if I have to pay all 36 BTC I have to buy one.

You await that you can buy a miner with 36BTC? What hashrate do you await for this? Or do you want to take part in a groupbuy? I think the miners wont be small so that most users wont have the money and have to go group buy route.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

I am guessing this little baby's price between 0,7 BTC and 2 BTC depending on difficulty at the time of auction.

Pretty sure they can get these pumped out with little to no effort of the core team.. Design is already done, looks super simple,  pretty sure there are about a million  billion  options in China to make these things en masse for cheap.

The large scale boards that friedcat has has something like 24 or 36 chips on them, and Bitcoin is already going to cross $100 again.

Update

Deploying
At the same time waiting for the new place's power supply system and our second batch's assembly, we have tested the fully enclosed rack approach, which turned out to be denser and has better cooling over the devices.

The projected earliest date to start installing new hardware and releasing brand new hashrates is 22th this month. The whole deploying process will take at least two weeks, with the final hashrate decided by how much we are going to sell to consumers and how much we will keep for ourselves.

Device Selling
Apart from the same boards we use for mining, we also have an adapted version of the mini boards which we used at early January for our first arrived chips that are nice as small gifts. Here is a picture of a not-yet-assembled one with 300MH/s. It can be powered by merely the USB port:

Since the most important mission of ASICMINER is the maximization of profits for shareholders and the security of the network (hashrates should be in hand of good people and decentralization has to be preserved), we will balance the ratio of kept and distributed hashrates based on our portion and the market price of devices.

Financials and Business Plan
We are always aware of the openness and transparency of how we operate. We keep almost if not all the agreements, trading receipts and bank/exchange records, which could be used for restoring a full history of financial report when put in the hands of an accountant with some knowledge of Bitcoin and some of our help. Sooner or later it has to be done, and most likely it would be in the period between the next batch and later batches, during which we will expand our core team with both technical and financial people.

We will start a google-doc-based business plan for us and all board members to edit and update. I will make a stub version as a basis for extending and modifying first this week.

I'd buy one if they're under $50.

No matter how you say it, it seems that asic manufacturers are more inaccessible than justin bieber.
It will be possible to eventually buy asicminer chips?
Everyone is talking about contribute to the decentralization of the network but no releases absolutely nothing.
I also want to buy chips directly in large quantities, it is possible to speak about this topic?

Congratulations on this fantastic idea! This is so fucking smart. This small thing will redefine decentralization of the bitcoin network. I'm amazed! Because of easy shipment and production it will also be a cash cow for shareholders.

ASICMINER/bitfountain just stepped up from being a highly profitable mining company to being an asset to the whole bitcoin community as game changing hardware provider.
