If we have a balanced market it should drop the same percentage that the dividend is of the share price. If it drops more, it means there is a profit in selling your shares before dividend payments, and buying it back afterwards. And if it drops less, it means there is a profit to be made in buying shares before a dividend payment and selling it afterwards.
So in a balanced market the price will drop each week by the dividends until it hits zero? No. The price will then subsequently rise by the expected amount of the next dividend over the course of the week (at a pace that reaches equilibrium with the markets discount rate for the security). With a 0.017 per share dividend, we're talking about a drop from, say, BTC3.417 to BTC3.400. That's a pretty small drop to try measuring. Sure, but dividend value could drive changes in growth expectations... I mean, an un-informed investor just see a drop in dividends during last weeks. Informations regarding hardware sells are spread and dispersed around the forum.. When the price hit 2.5 it brought out a fair amount of sellers. This hasn't happened since. This is either because they are waiting a little longer to see where it lands, or they know something we don't, or they don't wanna lose their board seat, or there aren't many heavy holders left because they sold too early.

Any speculations as to what the price will be of the dividends?
About 3.4ish currently. Don't think friedcat has 1.34M bitcoins laying around My guess is around ~0.015 without HW sales. Not record-breaking, but knowing what to come (announcement new Blades, new USB sticks, almost 200TH/s ready from fab I really don't care a lot ) Looking forward to the next weeks! is this friedcats' account do you know why 6,332+ BTC just sitting here not being reinvested..thanks http://blockchain.info/address/1HtUGfbDcMzTeHWx2Dbgnhc6kYnj1Hp24iThat's what is being mined by the ASIC miners, then we get a share of that any time soon!

10) Besides mining, hardware sales, and fees, are there any other potential sources of revenue? - 3.9
@TAT (or one of the other guys taking care of the questions):
What do you mean by "fees" in the last question? If it's transactions fees it is part of mining, are you then speaking about something else?
That was my question. You are correct that mining includes fees, thanks for pointing that out. I really just wanted to tease out block reward and transaction fees as separate items.

Stupid, I guess. Haha, not trying to be harsh, honest mistake. Someone tried to crash share price before by posting low div numbers.

I understand that what you are doing is generaly known as trolling; I am just wondering what rational purpose could that serve. Seriously, how do you benefit from this? And why do you use that funny "..thanks" signature? Maybe this is a naïve question, but I really got curious. Please make an effort to answer in English, will you?

No, he is just retarded. Use the ignore feature. The button should be bright red soon enough.
Off topic, but there really should be "ignored by X users" rating on accounts. Along with the trust, account date, etc it would help identify users with an occasional unhelpful post vs a repeat offender.

The brighter it is, the more people ignored them. I've been enjoying watching his steadily grow brighter and brighter by the hour.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's. This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".
