I assume this is the same issue as before? Part of the dividends that were sent out were from recently mined btc by AM. Recently mined bitcoins take 100 confirmations before they can be confirmed through the blockchain. EDIT: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Confirmation - read last paragraph

Hmm, I was hoping to see a question about what would happen if a large private entity wanted to buy ASICMiner (there is probably a precise and better way of wording this question). -Chris

Awesome, better then expected! Agree! Nice healthy dividend. Was hoping for a little more given all the group buy threads, but I guess with the price being dropped (and those .10 coupons being sent) this was a good amount.

Did i miss a reason why AM-Shares are priced so low at the moment? The divs are high as always so i dont see why...
People are selling AM shares cause they need to coin to purchase all the other securities that have been IPOing on the exchanges these past couple of weeks.

People are flitting over to the latest offering hoping it will be another big increase. The new offerings are stagnating in price, investors are getting stuck in dead ends. This will inevitably end in a sale at a loss once their attention span has expired.

There will be no dividends from labcoin and btcgarden, people will sell them and buy AM shares.

They use TSMC. Are you sure? I could not find a source for that. The only thing I could find was in an old avalon status update, but that sounds like friedcat is not using TSMC. From: http://www.bitcointrading.com/forum/asic-mining/avalon-asic-development-status-%28batch-1%29/This whole process will take 30-50 days depending on the processor node technology used, mainly due to the increasing in layer number as you go down in processor size. for example, we have 29 layers, and since TSMC is one of the big companies in fabrication, each layer take 1.2 ( normal lot ) day per layer. in addition, accordingly to friedcat, their fab is producing 4 layers every week [odd, but I guess it is possible if fab is small].
Edit: found something from the man himself I apologize if this has been answered; what steps will be taking place in China, and what will be done elsewhere after shipping and customs clearance? Specifically, I would like to know about packaging, assembly, and self-mining.
For the first generation of products, all steps have been taking place and will happen in China. This including chips production, PCB production, slicing & packaging, assembly, and deploying, in different places though. For example, while the production is in where the foundries are, we have more freedom to choose a place with very inexpensive power source to do self-mining.

So if the only reason that AM price is low, is due to noise from other opportunities, then it must be a good time to buy. At least if you are buying on fundamentals.

With all these mining companies coming up, petahashes (PH/s) is now the "norm". Friedcat now has the go ahead to start prepping the exahashes (EH/s), without worry of the upcoming total network hashrate.
