This is good, the share price will continue to drop. But Asicminer has huge potential growth now, they have about 500th coming soon, and 10,000btc for reinvestment. FC is showing he is looking into other forms of revenue too. If you are in AM for the long haul this is very good news.

Retrospectively I'm not surprised, they aren't professional chip designers and the competition largely is.
Not sure if insult or strategic claim...

IMHO it is always better to under-promise and over-deliver. We have yet to see the best of Asicminer. Something that will show once again that they are approaching this from a little different angle. And they are very clear and realistic about this, without hyping or over-promising.
In fact, Asicminer has always been different, it is a mistake to compare them to the rest of the bunch. While definitely an important part of the "game", it's not just about getting gen2 or gen3 out the door. Asicminer is a bit more complicated than that, but going the extra mile will pay off for friecat and his team. They definitely do a lot of stuff behind the window blinds and I am fortunate enough that I have seen some of their work first hand (due to my close proximity to their base).
There are lots of new investments out there, some of which will never make it and unfortunately disappear with all the coins invested for obvious reasons. But even the ones that seem to do well ATM will not make it for long, if deploying gen2 and gen3 asics is all they have. In my opinion anyway.
I have been buying more shares lately and I am confident that Asicminer will keep delivering.

Official ASICMiner Update by the Board
1. Automatic Payment We are currently working on the payment back-end, and we might begin the design process next week as well.
2. BTCT closing BTCT told us that they will release the database for us to merge on October 10.
3. Sales/Opportunity Update We haven’t heard from the previously mentioned potential chip buyer. We met with two other groups making 65/55nm in China interested in collaboration, but we hadn't solid cooperation conclusions yet.
4. Franchising We have created partnerships with two new franchises.
5. Cooling Update We hope to share a good video or exhibition materials by the end of the month.
6.Advertising Update During the next wave of hardware sales, we will increase our advertising efforts.
7. Research & Development We had tried several different really intricate and speculative designs for 2014, based on the assumption being competitive in a fully saturated market (average return rate getting close to normal business' single digits per year). but originally with a limited channel/staff, it can be very difficult to fully explore them. So, we conducted interviews, and recently identified several exceptional people.
We will be spreading design risk by working on several designs simultaneously and having all other designs' info/simulation results fed back to the main design process. Our designs changed aggressively and the expected successful rate (on a working mask) drops compared to the standard flow so it has to be fully (wave-level) simulated before fabrication.
8. Financial Report The next official ASICMINER Financial Report is scheduled to be released on October 20s. We had been in the process of accumulating reserves for a two-year-based small lab (all salaries) and a full mask cost for 40nm for one month. Additional income may be reserved for other chip advancements.
9. Hardware Solutions ASICMINER is exploring and considering several alternative hardware manufacturing roles aside from mining-related products.
That's why I check the pages Posts back to the front page Honestly I read this as good news the high research and development they are undertaking means they are going to remain a competitive force in the ASIC market. The bears are stronger so keeps observing when I sense peak bearishness the line between terror fear and panic then it becomes an opportunity. But for now the track record speaks for itself AM bearishness kicking in at these levels Full blast if it drops to half a btc as P/E starts getting interesting

Seems a few days without bitcointalk did the pass-through share price some good. I'd speculate that the less idle speculation, the better Still glad to see the forum back though.

Yeah, finally here again.
I had a question: As an ASICMINER-PT holder on btct.co, I'm going to get my shares as direct shares soon. But I don't wish to keep them direct, as I prefer being able to buy/sell quickly. So which exchange would you recommend to transfer AM shares to? I'd be very grateful to hear some kind of comparison of existing axcanges/pass-through options.
Thanks in advance!

Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth. There is no spoon. Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself. 1CdVTkA288cd3m1jkdqPjUfhQ5ebei8gVT

I think you can just compare the daily volume of those two options, since that's what helps you to buy and sell quickly.

yay finally back online! Anyway I'm thinking about going to Havelock, seems like a good, reliable option... Great, good to see bitcointalk back up for sure. I've been using Havelock recently, and I like how it is laid out. I'm still waiting for all my shares to be transferred from btc tc though, hopefully that'll be coming up soon...

friedcat please invest money in solar energy solutions and wind turbines, this is real future.
I don't blame you, but solar and windpower is quite rubbish if you consider how much does it cost to build and maintain them. It's only worthwhile if the state helps in funding. If friedcat would invest in those (without governmental aid), he would end up making loss or have the dividends degrade a lot. Do not let newspaper headlines "create" your thoughts.

No you did not, people are just randomly clicking buttons like they always do I actually though the price will go down even more as KNC is shipping massive amounts of miners right now

Regarding share migrations from BTCT to TAT Investments securities on other exchanges:
1. Do not email your request more than once.
2. Do not include extra questions or comments.
3. Follow the instructions exactly, nothing more.
4. Do not include multiple migration requestsin one email.
The better the instructions are followed, the faster this will be. We're getting bogged down by a high % of people not following directions.
