Dunno. It's already gonna have some interesting requirements for two or three different shapes of topside heatsinks and screw holes. Not likely I can make something that fits all those requirements and a standard CPU cooler.

no worries, i was just wondering for those that dont have r-box's if it could be adapted..

i am personally waiting for the 18 chip board..

I'm gonna fetch an R-Box and see if I can make something work with all three. If not, I prioritize Gridseed pod and U3.

Cool, quiet and up to 1TH pod miner, on sale now!

Been watching thread.   Really am liking your designs please keep up the amazing work!  You really did win me over with seeing the USB in action.

Do you know ballpark of what the single USB stick will cost?

I guess it hasn't been restated in this thread lately. $25 per stick, 10-stick limit without prior arrangement.

Anyone interested in large batches of Compac sticks, please PM me. I want to get a ballpark for how many I need to make. This is not a reservation or pre-sale.

I'm not interested in a bulk purchase... but I'm interested in it anyway... I tried to PM you, but couldn't get a message trough...

If you want more than 10, I need special arrangement. I have not seen a message from you.

or is it too soon

(hey I spent on like 153 bucks on a bitseed v2 bitcoin node just to have blinking lcd's in the basement for when my home mining dies...I know I will
probably get your toys as well....one needs a way off in little steps ....this asic home miner addiction don't ya know...little steps ...little steps... ) Smiley

(then again I probably don't need 10 of the puppies.....I suppose I could give some as gifts to friends ..or some such?)

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

Wasn't I supposed to ask when its coming out? so you have to push back the date again?

So about 0.1BTC each, or 1btc for 10? (so $35aud each for me) anyone else in Australia wants to buy up some? maybe be able to do a deal for postage...

sidehack, say so if im out of line here

Edit:

I was thinking, you could wait it out for the next gen chipsets for the NRB upgrade boards, i'll just shove some of them steeks in the chassis.. Steeeksies, yesh.. steeks..

AJRGale, I got no problem if you want to coordinate an AU groupbuy.

Regarding continuing to push the date back, let me tell you a little story. When "Inception" came out, within the span of a week literally every person I knew told me I should see the movie. I got so tired of hearing about it that I decided I'd wait one year to see the movie and I'd push that back a week every time anyone mentioned the film to me. So it hit theatres in summer 2010; I watched it October 2013. So yeah, if someone want to play that game I can make sure everyone loses.

Cheesy That's priceless!

What did you think of the movie, worth the wait? Tongue

Frankly, no. It was good, but not amazing. I think the universe was conspiring on my side, because during the course of the film I got a drop-in visitor, three phone calls and some diarrhea.

Also, everyone posting and PMing me about picking up a couple sticks, don't. Sales aren't open yet. We still have no public review or opinion from half the testers.

Full blown hacking the bitmain chips man, thats wicked.

From memory there was at one stage -  yonks  back now
a fella with the handle sidehack on Freenode in the #ozcoin channel.
If I recall he was heavily modifying asicminer gear, blades I think.
That was awhile ago now though I may be wrong.

Sick usbminer regardless.

Yeah that was me. I also did a workup on AM Cubes but I saw no real hashrate benefits on those, probably because of the heat density. Increasing clock and voltage just increased errors so the effective hashrate was basically the same. I also did an undervolt study some months ago on the Antminer S1, taking it to about 0.8W/GH board-level. I'd intended to do a workup on AM Tubes (with the side benefit that the same numbers should apply to Gardens, R-Box and whatever else) but wasn't able to set aside time enough to do it proper and dropped the project.
