That seems accurate. I approve.

Additionally, I got confirmation of stock from Bitmain and the chips are paid for. TXID f530b8bde269d1c2433e4603a6b4b0db753938fe32f4cb52518bb5f8abddb5b6

I'll be sending out I think nine sticks this afternoon, eight to the testers and one to German guy.

very nice.  quick question how many chips does that transaction of  24.9 Btc get you?

https://blockchain.info/address/1BURGERAXHH6Yi6LRybRJK7ybEm5m5HwTr

about 6600 usd = 1000 chips?  6.60 usd a chip?

Nope, more than that. It's a single order that'll be split between me and the German guy so there's also two shipping charges in there.

Bick never got back to me, so I'm substituting ManeBjorn as an alternate. He had previously expressed interest in reviewing the hardware and doing a writeup for his website.

You were my next alternate if anyone else had backed out.

I've had a lot of people asking to do reviews (seriously a lot, including a bunch of n00bs and folks I've never heard of), and a lot of people asking to buy sample sticks. Gonna say this now so I don't have to repeat myself a bunch of other times (again) - if you're not one of the 8 listed above, you're not getting a sample stick. Go ahead, offer me a hundred bucks for one. You're not getting it. More than half of the ones I have materials for are being sent out to reviewers, and we're keeping the rest for in-house stuff like software dev and posterity and stuff. So please, stop asking.

Hey sidehack,
since you have your fans here in Europe, I am curious for the German business that manufactures the boards in licence to your plans.
If I may offer myself for a review and first purchase of your licenced 18 chip boards, since I life next door to good old Germany.
If this goes to your plans, let me know  Grin

As I mentioned somewhere in a rant.. whenever there's a new product, there's no shortage of people who want to do a review... especially if they get the gear for free.  SFARDS' thread is full of that, too.. can only imagine what their forum and e-mail inboxes looked like. (as an aside - J4bberwock's progressing nicely on that front)
( disclaimer: obviously, I'm getting one 'for free'. I was happy to pay - even if it's just for shipping - but sidehack has so far declined. )

Bick never got back to me
Yeah, he seems to have disappeared.  Read something earlier that I was sure he was gonna pounce on (rightly so), but then noticed he hadn't.

I am curious for the German business that manufactures the boards in licence to your plans.
Same here - though I'm sure all will be revealed in due time.  Would just favor everyone involved in terms of costs savings, especially in shipping Smiley

The guy's already paid me for chips (and now that payment has been handed to Bitmain), and we've worked out a simple deal on licensing. If he wants to talk about it, I reckon it's his job to do so. Needless to say, I probably won't be selling any sticks in Europe since he'll be able to get 'em to anyone there cheaper (and presumably just as good).
