101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oklahoma City Thunder vs. New Orleans Pelicans 2024 NBA Playoffs Game 3 Info on: April 27, 2024, 07:25:58 PM
I'd be with OKC on this match up and proceed to the next match. Yes of course homecourt advantage will be a factor but they're all pro at this. SGA have proven himself enough to bag the victory. However, I do think that Pelicans will at least be able to prevent a sweep victory given that there are McCollum and Trey as mentioned, who also showed good performance on Game 2. Scores aren't that far and gap isn't that big so I think it would be reasonable to say that in Game 3, Pelicans might be able to get it but not the match up against OKC. Pelicans without Zion is tough for the franchise. I actually believe that they will have a chance with him being on the playoffs however as reports have stated, his left hamstring strain hasn't fully recovered yet which is really a struggle for the team.

I got the other way.  I know zion is still out but I like the home team here.  Okc is young and playoff away games are a lot tougher obviously than playing at home.  Okc is the favorite on the road here so I like the pels.  It should be a close game so edge to home court.  I'm also taking a look at the under.  The unders have been hitting hard and think this shoudk be no different.  Can see a 102-99 type game.
102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 26, 2024, 11:37:38 PM
Maybe Austin Reaves is the only player that I think will remain with AD and Lebron. D'Lo 0 points in a must-win game is unacceptable unless he comes back in game 4 with a big offensive flow and help the team win.

True but it's too late for Lebron, they need another star player that is as good as Murray so Lebron and AD could continue doing their job. I don't know if the salary cap can still accomodate but if they really need to improve, they should trade DLO, actually they should have done that before the trade deadline, they could have a more reliable shooter now.
I don't know why the Lakers management broke the 2020 bubble Lakers roster because that's the best one that I've seen with Dwight Howard as the center. He likes to bully ball Jokic underneath the rim and it was so effective as Jokic stats was down big.
Yeah, they badly need a better pointguard but they also need sharpshooters, those who can really contribute in high pressure games like this one. DLo is good when he gets hot so he is more of a shooting guard. Wait for the ball to get in his hands and shoot.
I think the Lakers might just win one game as Coach Malone may try to restrict the minutes of Jamal and Jokic in game 4 and then end it in Game 5 with a fresh stamina in their homecourt.

Dwight Howard is too old to run up and down an nba court.  It's not like anyone else has him rostered either.  We are 4 years off that bubble season.  What a weird playoffs with barely anyone in the stands.  Felt more like some preseason exhibition tournament than an actual finals.  With no hoke or away court advantage I'm not sure I fully recognize that Lakers championship.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto rewards that make you rethink spending on: April 25, 2024, 10:35:31 PM
I've been around the crypto block a few times, but BlackCardCoin setup has me intrigued. They're going for a whole different angle –  making crypto as spendable as cash. We're talking a dedicated crypto card with worldwide use, cashback rewards in crypto, and the ability to stake their coin for fee-free perks. It's like they want to bridge that gap between our crypto holdings and real-world spending.

The concept is undeniably cool, and honestly, kind of overdue. But the fact you need to hold $BCCoin to even get the card has me raising an eyebrow. Plus, all those rewards... I'm always a bit skeptical about long-term sustainability. Anyone else digging into this? Is BlackCardCoin the real deal or just another flashy promise although I have seen them dishing out the token on some exchanges already.

For me and probably anyone in the US the way the tax laws are now it's just not worth being able to spend crypto that quickly.  Every single time ypu spend crypto it is like basically converting it into fiat triggering a tax event.  I don't think I want to do taxes everytime I go out and get a coffee.  It's rediculous and will likely change in the future otherwise it will just be used for storing and large purchases.  I always said the tax laws is what's going to get the US left behind.  Crypto companies will just move to a new jurisdiction with better laws surrounding crypto.
104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bucks vs. Pacers 2024 NBA Playoffs Odds & Game 3 on: April 25, 2024, 10:30:28 PM
I actually like Pacers here tonight.  Home game I think haliburton is gonna kill it.  I'm laying off the game in terms of betting on them but I might lay a bet on the over.  A ton of games have hit the under so far this year but have a feeling this is gonna be a shootout.
105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 25, 2024, 10:27:25 PM
Heat always ends up playing amazing against Celtics, they always end up shooting great at three as well and suddenly every player they have turns into great players later on as well. I think we should consider Heat as a sneaky great team in the end.

No team that ends up with 2 finals in the last 5 seasons could be considered a bad team, they may end up not being great at regular season, but when the playoff time comes they turn it around and become a great team. Every player they have end up being greater at playoffs than they are at regular season. This is why I have a feeling that they could end up winning at the end of the season, that is a possibility and I believe that we could see them end up being greater in the end.

The Heat are a dangerous team in my opinion because they have a lot of specialists who are good at what they do. When everything is going right, they can beat anyone. However, they lack the all around game I think teams need to be able to win a championship. So I wouldn’t call them a bad team, but I think they have a lot of flaws that will get exposed over a 7 game series.

only a team with a good coach can beat them because their roster are not compose of a star players. Jimmy is their best player but not even in the all star, and the very surprising fact is that with Jimmy they beat the best team in the NBA based on the regular season ranking. Imagine, they were given +14 by the bookies, that's how big underdog they are, and they came out strong with a great adjustment and beat the celtics by 10. I think we should believe in Shaq now as he predicted that Miami will win by 10 in game 2, he know that the Miami is good and the Celtics will choke.

It's happened before and I know they are without Jimmy but the Heat are still a solid team.  I don't think any team in the playoffs just is deemed a complete stepping stone.  Amd now with the series going back to Miami who kmwos what happens.  It's the NBA all of these guys are apt to have a great week, and if it happens right at playoff time then they can win.  That's why they play the games!  And let's go knicks! They need to win this and not let Philly back into the series.

Good luck with the Knicks bro but I'm with the Sixers, I want them to even the series and they should start by winning this game.

Speaking of the Heat, I think they are an underrated team but they don't have the kind of talent like other teams who have the best players. Coach Spo got extended with a new contract, so he is in for long term. That said, I think Miami management should consider taking this opportunity to invest on more star players as they have the best coach, that way they might experience another championship again.

If coach Spo handles the Clippers where they have 4 legit star players (Kawhi, WB, PG, and Harden), this should get more than a back to back championship, I hope the heat will get to that level of player selection in the future.

You have to think if Philly is gonna win any game this is the one.  Philly better hope brunson doesn't get his head out of his ass otherwise it might be too much.  Embid not being able to jump is killing them.  Dude has heart for going out there but he is getting out hustled and it's hurting them.  Maxey is a star in the making.  He can drive the paint anytime he wants.  With that being said...KNICKS IN 4!! lol nah man enjoy the game I just hope it's a good game either way

What are some of the hobbies that you have picked up as a result of your long term gambling but that doesn't involve gambling? If you are an avid gambling who is not addicted that is you have control over your gambling you may have caught yourself unconsciously being attracted to so other activities within the sphere of gambling that doesn't involve wagering. As for me one of such hobbies /pastime is being active in a forum like this where there are gambling enthusiasts. I enjoy joining in the discussions that go on here, I also enjoy sharing tips and reading the experiences of other people with similar interests in gambling.

Watching sports I otherwise would not watch.  Like NHL hockey.  I've tended to watch more of these games even when I'm not betting on them.  And even in the sports I do watch I tend to watch teams I generally would not usually watch like a San Antonio Spurs vs Houston game or something like that.  I've been more interested in following specific sports players as well and even fi d myself cheering for them

POW has attack vectors.

clogging the mempools with ordinals and hashrate manipulation is being done as I type.

I am a fan of POW not pos but POW has flaws.

POS is simply a terrible idea 💡.

Phil I agree.  PoS is probably my protocol of choice.  I think PoS encourages hoarding and benefits early holders of coins.  Most of the time at least nowadays a lot of the PoS coins have terrible distribution which discourages people from onboarding.  PoS has its issues especially with newer coins and lower profitability but I think the good outweighs the bad there.

What are the biggest mistakes made by beginners in online gambling? How can they be avoided?

Beginners luck.  A lot of people win right off the bat and think that's how easy it will always be.  A lot of those players get hooked and make dumb decisions trying to replicate the same experience.  It's tough to tell someone that like that how easy it is to lose because they base their decisions on experience and greed is terrible to try to overcome.
110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Claw Machines: a category of gambling? on: April 24, 2024, 09:15:43 PM
I mean we are splitting hairs here.  Is playing arcade games for tickets where you can hand in for prizes gambling?  Probably not.  If you play a game and win a prize it's just that, a game.  I mean I guess if there is money in the claw machine possibly but I would consider that more a game in which you can win something if played correctly.  There is no real other player, or house.

Ate it on the other other night with an 0-3.  I have my picks in for the 2 on tonight.

Going with the Pelicans +7.5.  Was a tight game last time and with a young okc team I think it will be the same.

Also going with the road heat team.  They payed terribly last game and don't expect them to win but I think they backdoor cover the +14.5

Hopefully the games are good, enjoy and good luck!
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 24, 2024, 08:54:42 PM
We should wait until game 3 is over, that's the best chance the Lakers could win because they are at home and they have the crowd to support them. I'm also betting on the legacy of Lebron because it doesn't look good if Lebron got swept again by the Nuggets which he is a hall of famer and even in the discussion on being a GOAT. I know the momentum is on the Nuggets but in the last 2 games, they Lakers had control at the start they just failed in the end which is something they have to figure out how to improve.
LeBron has proven many times throughout his career that he is one of the best players in the history of the NBA. So, even if the Lakers lose the upcoming game, it won't change anything regarding LeBron's greatness on the court. Just keep in mind the fact that no matter how great and versatile a player is, he can never win a championship by himself.
This is definitely the saddest part. People are overreacting and suddenly saying that Lebron isn't the greatest, and sure I can understand not putting him at number one, which I would put him at this point easily, he has been number one plenty of times before for me, but lets assume that you don't put him there, everyone MUST put him at their top three, this dude has 40k-11k-11k and 5 titles and 20 seasons of all star and many MVP's (some he got robbed) and he is doing insanely well.

I have to say that at nearly 40 years old, he could lose, that's normal and with a team that has only AD helping him, it is not a shocker that they are losing to the champions, why would that be weird, Nuggets and Jokci is at their peak prime right now.

Agreed top 3 I can agree on.  For me it's jordon, kobe (don't argue with me), and then lebeon.  I know he's old but killer instinct of the GOAT would have driven that ball and at least gotten fouled.  A 3 pointer even though it was open is not his strong suit especially at the end of the game.  Nobody can stop a wide open drive from him.  That's the difference kobe and jordan male you pay on that game sealing play.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are more people getting excited about memecoins? on: April 23, 2024, 11:18:21 PM
People always seem drawn to meme coins. There are so many with quirky names like Pepe, Bonk, and Meme. In 2023, a bunch of these coins hit the market and made lots of folks rich. Then in 2024, it happened again with coins like WIF, BOME, and SLRF. Now, everyone's talking about Simsol. People love meme coins because they can make you rich quick. It's kind of wild how much excitement they bring to the market. But, it's important to remember they're risky too. What's your opinion about this?

Web: https://simsol.fun/

Greed. Pure and simple.  They hear stories of people turning a thousand into a hundred thousand dollars and they jump in without knowing what they are doing.  Sad truth of the matter is most people will lose their money and a small amount of people will end up with the money those people lost.  That's the meme game
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu token, is there a future for this? on: April 23, 2024, 11:13:30 PM
Generally speaking with coins like this they tend to be fads.  People will end up jumping on the next best thing.  Not providing a recommendation just some trends that I've seen and noticed over a couple cycles.  People get bored easy here.  Only reason it's still hanging high is because the amount of bag holders.  During a peak rush they will drop it for the new shiny toy.
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No gambling today due to bitcoin high transaction fee. on: April 23, 2024, 11:09:31 PM
Yeah this is the issue with crypto gambling in times of high fees.  That's when using side coins like doge or litecoin to move crypto around.  It's good when books or casinos off multiple coins to bring into theor platform.  Most people think in terms of fiat so whether it's litecoin or bitcoin it really doesn't matter.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 23, 2024, 10:00:29 PM
Hands down the best 2 game lineup back to back in a long while.  Knicks came back from a miracle to score 8 points in 27 seconds.  We even got a mike breen "BANG BANG" ( if you don't know just Google it, GOAT NBA play caller.

Was so amped stayed up and watched the other game wire to wire.  Lebron shoukd have drove the paint in the end.  He would have at a minimum been fouled.  That one stings on the legacy.  I know it's one game but that was a monster.
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 23, 2024, 09:56:28 PM
J. Hart 1+ 3pts / M. Robinson 1+ blocks @1.80  X

Game 1 of PHI/NY is arguably one of the swingiest quarter-to-quarter games i've seen in a while (1Q PHI+9, 2Q NY+21, 3Q PHI+15, 4Q NY+10).

A couple of things that stood out to me, which i want to include in my bet today. The Sixers are playing Brunson and DiVincenzo tight and giving J. Hart wide-open looks from deep, daring him to shoot like he is Ben Simmons. Lol  I mean, it's not the worst strategy, Hart is only shooting 31% from three this season, you'd rather leave him open than someone else, right?

M. Robinson played 30 minutes, his most since returning from injury. Even if he continues to come off the bench, his minutes are safe, he matches up better with Embiid than Hartenstein. He had four blocks in Game 1, but it felt like it was twice as many, he was that dominant defensively.

Knicks can here and my heart stopped plenty of times last night.  Nurse has a great gameplan against the Knicks in guarding brunson tight.  Hart has been great to date but we need the bench to keep stepping up.  Mcbride with a huge first game and bogdanovich with 2 monster 3s to start the 4th quarter last night.  With that being said they didn't cover, lost money and was amped beyond belief.  Your team winning > winning money
118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 22, 2024, 09:08:57 PM
Didn't bet the first 2 days I wanted to get a lay of the land.  But betting all 3 games tonight.  Here are my 3:

Orlando +5.5. I know they are away and cleveland handled them pretty well but orlando is young and hungry.  Think they cover in a close game

Knicks -5.5. With embid hurting and Maxey game time decision with a sickness I think knicks roll them by 10+ tonight.  Brunson won't have that bad a game tonight.

Denver -5.5. Champs at home with a low spread.  Will take them all day at this spread.

Good luck and enjoy the games!
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: April 22, 2024, 09:04:27 PM
I agree that there won't be any serious type of "fight" going on, we will see the fight cut short if anything even remotely serious ends up for any of the fighters, but mine is more like unexpected punches type of thing. While we know that Mike Tyson packs a punch, meaning he could punch just once, a proper hit, like connects right to the chin, and Jake would be out cold, but I believe Jake would recover from that easily.

However, considering his age, I fear that if Jake gets lucky, not something that's easily possibly, I mean like lets assume he gets purely lucky, and punches right on the chin, Mike could have something that ruins rest of his life, just one bad punch and suddenly it's very dangerous for Mike Tyson. That's what I fear, that one punch.

If there is anyone with one punch that could alter someone's life it was, is and always will be Mike's lol.  He is a differemt person in the ring.  Obviously at his age he can't go tons of rounds but if I was Paul I wouldn't go anywhere near Mike in the first couple minutes.  Exhibition or not Mike is a killer once inside those ropes.
120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 22, 2024, 09:01:54 PM
So far Miami looks good without Jimmy buckets but it's a long game.  Chicago started off real cold.  Who does everyone have in the next game?  I'm on the Pelicans, think home cooking helps them pull through like it's been for miami.

Honestly, I'm surprised by the Heat's performance in this game. Looks like the Heat don't need Butler and Rozier to beat an opponent like the Bulls. There are still 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter, but the Heat are already leading by 27 points. As for the Pelicans, if they perform as they did with the Lakers, they will hardly have any chance against the Kings.

It was a dominant win by Heat, it seems like they really don't need Butler after all as we can see the ball movement is very flawless and everyone is getting a good touch. Herro and JJJ doing their thing,  they lead the team in this big win and I'm happy that this rookie is getting his minutes and attempts he needed.

now, it's all set for this team, they'll face the Celtics but not in the ECF, and I think this isn't an easy money for the Celtcs bettors as Heat have prove time and time again that they are a legit team, they work based on their culture and we should understand that.

Without Jimmy buckets they are cooked.  They are an average team at best against the Celtics I'd be surprised if Miami wins one.  Celtics have so many ways to beat you and are even better than they have been in years past.  Even with Jimmy I don't think they could contend over a seven game series against them.
