@micgoossens That's because she hasn't earned any merits in the last 30 days.

However, you can find here in the previous lists

Don't know about you guys but i am observing good amount of improvement with this Sri Lankan team. if they follow this projectile till next T-20 world cup then i have some hope for them Grin let's not forget Australia hosting next WC.

Ist T-20   = 99 runs
2nd T-20  = 117 runs
3rd T-20   = 142 runs

Anyways, hope Aus collapse today  Tongue

Lol that's not gonna happen. I don't think that this current Srilankan team will ever manage to get past 160. And btw, just like the 1st two match Aussies won the match by 7 wickets with ease. And wow Warner didn't get dismissed in all 3 matches in the series
1004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: November 01, 2019, 01:02:47 AM
You are right about the venue and the teams, but as per records the date was 27th November 2015 (i.e 2015-16 season). It was the last test of the 3-match series and the toss was won by Brendon McCullum of New Zealand, who chose to bat first. The match was really close, although Australia won by three wickets. None of the batsmen managed to score a century, and there were only three half centuries (Tom Latham for New Zealand, and Steven Smith/Peter Nevill for Australia). Hazlewood took 70/6 in the NZ second innings.
yeah, you are correct. But I was too lazy to google about the match and went with my memory  Wink
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 31, 2019, 06:13:42 AM
It has been some time now since I have seen NZ in T-20 action. I have forgotten the usual T-20 players from NZ now. Both teams have good bowlers and good and consistent batsman. Will be a thrilling series.
Yeah, considering how the world cup final went. This series should be great and predicting a winner of the two will also be tough and exciting. Though the English team looks better, I think I'll bet on NZ winning the series.
1006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 31, 2019, 05:56:32 AM
Wow many things have changed during the last two days. But I don't think that this is the first pink ball test match. Maybe it's the first for India. But, if my memory serves right Australia and New Zealand played the first pink ball test in Adelaide back in 2013-14.
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 31, 2019, 04:52:55 AM
Had no idea about this match but looking at scorecard. have no regrets whatsoever and glad that i didn't waste my time on it. looks dead series to me or Oz just doing net practice with Sri lankans  Grin. anyways we have good amount of cricket in the next month let's hope for good contest.

Eng vs NZ
Ind vs Ban ( Shakib's ban killed the hype, i suppose)

After the Sri Lanka and Australia T-20 series we also have Pakistan vs Australia T-20 series (3 match series) starting 3rd November and Afghanistan vs West Indies as well which will be interesting to watch as they welcome W.I in their home stadium in Dehradun,India.

Didn't watch both the matches in the Srilankan tour but considering how the Aussies ripped the srilankan bowlers, I am not hyped by the Pak Vs Aus tour. It's going to be an one sided match unless Pak proves otherwise. And with Shakib gone Ind Vs Ban will also be one sided game. I'm now more interested in the upcoming English Vs NZ game.
1008  Local / India / Re: Bitcoin Resources - Consolidate List (India Specific) v2.O on: October 31, 2019, 04:37:31 AM

Should this topic be pinned on top replacing the older worn out topic?

If so, we could all report them and any of the global mods would pin them replacing the older one.
I already reported it to the mods like 2-3 days back to be pinned stating that the old topic is irrelevant. But it shows that report is unhandled. Maybe if everyone reported, we might get them pinned.
1009  Local / India / Re: Indian Govt Planning Ban on Crypto on: October 29, 2019, 01:27:05 PM

If regulates then each transaction will be tracked properly from Exchanges that who is earning/investing in crypto. And if investor is earning profit he/she has to pay taxes as per regulation of short/long term investment return….

Since exchanges are not allowed to work in India, I don't agree with you on this one. Even if government issues some regulations regarding Bitcoin, it doesn't mean government can actually track all transactions done by traders. It can only give guidelines and it's up to traders whether they follow those or not. There will be very minute chances that government could actually catch the frauds in crytpo transactions.
[/quote]

Actually, they can track the payments if they decided to. All they need to do is ask the exchanges to collect PAN details of the customers and the list of trades. If India is going to regulate Crypto transactions, exchanges will welcome the decision considering the current scenario.

i can see why the "blockchain-not-bitcoin" idiots went wrong. there is only one blockchain that has a valid use case and that is an invention: bitcoin.

to see an entire high-tech nation, and not a marginal one, to fall for this stupidity is hard to believe. the only explanation i have ( and i am no expert in this field) is that TRUST is such a big issue for china, since there is this culture of cheating and now they hope that "blockchain" will somehow make it easier for them to trust companies (for example).

i dont see "blockchain" working. it is out for a decade now, where are the applications? other than money/bitcoin?

if they really go all-in to "blockchain" with their entire economy it will end as a catastrophic failure like the Great Leap Forward.

That's because if they abruptly approve of bitcoin, other idiotic nations will call China, the funding nation for criminals. I think it's good they have reversed their earlier stance and have recognised blockchain. Once everyone gets involved into blockchain, it's only a matter of time they recognise Bitcoin.

I don't necessarily follow your assumptions there. China doesn't have to recognize BTC ever (though I think they eventually will). They can establish their own mandatory digital currency with a state centralized blockchain and any Chinese citizen who uses something else they'll charge with "provoking trouble".

The activist, Huang Xueqin, was detained last week in the southern city of Guangzhou, according to friends who asked not to be identified by name. The authorities accused Ms. Huang, 31, of “picking quarrels and provoking trouble,” a vague accusation that the government often uses to silence activists who challenge the status quo.

I am not saying that China will definitely recognise Bitcoin. But there is a possibility right ? That's what I'm happy about.

Edit: Check LuckMcFly's post on Chinese bank investing on bitcoin wallet - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg52907277#msg52907277

So, I guess the Chinese government might recognize Bitcoin sometime in the future. So does the other governments.

Now they are banning articles calling blockchain a scam, I love this change except for the fact that they are going to have their own crypto

Bitcoin already is a gateway to many other cryptocurrencies.
In the long run the statecoins (centralized) and BTC, maybe a few other coins that make sense will survive.
So why don't you like it?

I'd be more comfortable holding a BTC stash and "using" it partially for exchange into other CC i can actually use.
This doesn't mean BTC can't be used, but it would give me better control about exchange fees.

We already have fiat currencies, I am not looking for a centralised stable coin for each country which is going to do the same job of the fiat currencies. If you are saying about ease of transfer, fiat currencies can be transacted through online payment gateways and it can also done as cash for the unbanked, which is not possible with the stable coin. So what's the point in creating a stable coin for a country? And I don't think they'll make any difference. If it was a global stable coin, at least we could could cut the cross border exchange fees.
In my opinion, a global stable coin like Libra better than fiat which is better than a localised stable coin. All these are in now way to be compared to Bitcoin which is in a separate league.

As you said they'll probably ask for compensation for the loss incurred and even bar him from future series after the Indian Tour. But I don't think that he'll be kicked out of the upcoming Indian tour, as there is only a week left for the start of the tour, one of the best allrounder in the team, no better player to replace him, no announcement regarding his removal yet and he is smiling during the practice session  Tongue

Why do you think that he'll be kicked out? -skip-

I didn't say he'll be kicked out of the Indian tour Roll Eyes

I think the board is only seeking compensation for the deal signed and the losses that the board will incurr due to the personal deal. Though I am still not sure if they will not retain due to contract breach? Will they.

~snip~

When it comes to IPL, my support goes for Chennai kings under the leadership of MS Dhoni and i am guessing the next cup will be lifted by them. The defending champions, Mumbai looks strong too and high chances that they will reach last leg this time as well. My bets on finale between CSK and MI.

Here we go, another Cryptotalk spammer messing with ongoing discussion Undecided quoting the 10-month-old OP and completely being offtopic by talking about IPL when it's not even close and diverted the topic from ongoing qualifiers and the SL-AUS series. I hate it when such things happen.

A one sided match we had seen in this first T20 match and all the top order batsman made min 50 and this has boosted the opening of the series and for the OZ specially. SL would like to break the opening stand quickly in the second match else they would lose the match again.

I don't think the SL team will win any of the matches against Australia in their home ground even if they managed to get a few wickets. Because, all the top-notch SL players are retired except for maybe Lasith Malinga and Angelo Mattews. So we have only one top-notch player playing for the Srilankan side that is Lasith Malinga. I know that he can create some serious upsets with his bowling, but I highly doubt that his fellow teammates will able to counter them.
1018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 27, 2019, 12:18:23 PM
Looks like the Bangladesh team are going to face a major hurdle if Shakib is not a part of the team.

I think the legal action initiated against Shakib has nothing to do with him playing in the T20 series. The only change that I know of is Tamim Iqbal being replaced by Imrul Kayes and saifuddin being ruled out because of injury

This is the T20 squad for the Indian Tour announced by BCB.
Code:
Shakib Al Hasan (Captain)
Tamim Iqbal Khan replaced by Imrul Kayes
Liton Kumar Das
Soumya Sarker
Naim Sheikh
Mushfiqur Rahim
MahmudUllah
Afif Hossain
MOsaddek Hossain Saikat
Aminul Islam Biplob
Arafat Sunny
Mohammad Saifuddin ruled out because of injury
Al-Amin Hossain
Mustafizur Rahman
Shafiul Islam
1019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 27, 2019, 07:27:36 AM
Anyway, BCB has decided to go with the demand of the players and hence, no more issue. Everyone will play other than Tamim.
Increasing the salaries/allowances and other demands seem to be enforceable. But, have the current committee members of CWAB resigned? Because that was on top of their demands. Or did the players didn't press it too much when their other demands were met?
1020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 27, 2019, 06:54:18 AM
Aussies won the match by 134 runs. Srilankans were completely dominated by the Aussies with both bat and ball. The fact that Srilanka can't even get past 100 in 20 overs shows how miserably they have failed when the Aussies managed 200+ runs.
