do you have an api?

If you go to User Settings under the account menu you can access the api stuff.

Currently we are knocking it out of the park!  Grin

Found it:

This system is basically equivalent to 4 SP20 systems in one 1U tray.

how did i miss that till now? 32chips in a 1U enclosure (the SP3x had 30/2U) seems like a LOT of heat, particularly if the PSUs are inline with the chips (which one is getting the 'secondary' already-hot air?)

Nevertheless, could be great for bulk deployment

Its needs fairly substantial water cooling so they say.

i'm curious how many wb i can make with 1400...

i can buy cooper sheets 5mm thick, i can  make the channels or look for a cnc
braze it and test it at above 200psi!

1k for a sheet of 1m*2m*5cm 90kg....

Get it in 10mm sheet, then you can sandwich two halves together with a basic gasket in the middle. Route / drill a channel into each half and you've got yourself a block.

You only need half the block to be copper, the part touching the chips, the other half can be acetal, either clear or black.

Hopefully we'll find out what's inside these things Q1 2015.  I mean before the end of April.  I mean 6-7 weeks from April 6th.  I mean Soon™ after it ships the first week of "Maybe".  I mean 'in the nearest time' after they sort out licensing issues for a chip.  For an order placed March 23rd.

As I predicted.

Next update will be extended delays while they wait for the 14nm Lktek chips to be ready.

If it is lktek.... most likely people would be better waiting to buy from lktek directly on thier "dragon" or what ever they decide to call it once they have their own.

I still cannot see what would cause someone to order one of these.

Agreed, could be anyone, but they'll probably pick something plausible at least.

Well what do you know a Block 355411 Wink

Party!? or Soiree?  Cool

I love that I don't see syscooling mentioned.  Please don't use any syscooling gear.

It was just a horrible company.

I wouldn't use them if they gave me the parts free.. Too many issues with AL to Cu and Cu to Brass with this stuff.....

Stick with copper/acetal and don't bother nickel plating either, thats just a pita.
1009  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [lee group]419$ the sales promotion of hosted antminer S5(golden psu included) on: May 07, 2015, 09:00:51 AM
Mine looks similar, but maybe a bit more stable, my miners have been in Chengdu for a while now.

The main response you will get is that if you want good performance to a pool, then pick one in China, anything going outside the Great Firewall of China or Golden Shield is going to suffer performance degradation or even blocking.

http://risnews.edgl.com/retail-news/Jumping-the-Firewall--Keys-to-Delivering-Web-Performance-in-China95422
http://speedprofs.com/china/
etc

You could set a secondary pool in such as Antpool or f2pool and capture the hashing power lost to the main pool there.

Just the hazards of hosting stuff in China I am afraid. Not a lot Lee can do about it.

17 hours and still no life from the Chengdu data center.  How much longer guys?

The AntPool is at 23 blocks in 15 hours...146%.  The beatings will continue until moral improves.

19 hours.. 5 more to go

1015  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Change thermal paste with Artic MX-4 for Antminer S5 on: May 03, 2015, 06:23:41 PM
Waaaay too much thermal paste there mate.. you need half or quarter of a grain of rice per chip.

I swear... you tell a person there are billions and billions of stars in the universe and they believe you without question.  You tell that person the paint is wet... you point to the sign that also says the paint is wet... you show them the wet paintbrush, the tray of wet paint and the painter with the roller on the wall.  That person will still touch the damn wall, look at the paint staining his finger and say, "Hey!  The paint is wet!"

Thanks George  Tongue

I just hope the market conditions aren't these:

1019  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: April 29, 2015, 12:51:40 PM
Post the completion of our merge, we do intend to deploy our 3rd gen and later gens tech at BTCS facility in NC and evaluate expansion to other lower cost electricity facilities as well.
Regarding hardware sales (miners, ASICs) and JV type deals (rev-share) it will be dependent on market conditions and will be on a selective basis.

Guy

Can you specify what market conditions would need to be in place for you to sell to customers who have the space and capacity to run 3rd gen hardware?
1020  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: April 29, 2015, 08:44:57 AM
@Inside Bitcoins NYC, Guy's panel on now, does not sound like Spondoolies will be offering consumer products any longer...

does this mean they are going 'completely private' like KNC with their 16nm tech? By this I mean ....no equipment for others
just for use in their current endeavor...no B2B product as well as the expected no 'consumer product'?

Yep,another vendor goes mining for themselves...this is old news,it was hinted at a few weeks or a month ago  Wink

Although at the time they also hinted they would sell rack mount miners but that they wouldn't sell home miners any more.

To be fair the only home miner they ever sold was the SP20 and with the noise it made it was debatable whether it could really be called a "home" miner, although modding it helped. Everything else from SP10 to SP35 was a rack mount datacenter centric device that sounded like a jet engine.

I think if you have a "home" farm setup that already can handle 5-10-20 or more SP3x miners then you would probably be able to handle the gen3 stuff, if Guy decides to sell it. I hope he does.
