1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 04, 2024, 11:56:58 AM
Lyon 4 winning streak games ended tonight against Lens in pretty rough way as 3-0 was the final result with Lens being already 1-0 since first half. I think this victory will bring back the good morale for Lens as they are back on 6th place that will lead them towards Europa Conference groups.
Lens managed to perform well in this match, and they were able to minimize Lyon on their own home turf with a fairly heavy score as well. Actually from the beginning Lens was the favorite in this match and the victory was predicted beforehand and they could do it very well. At first Lens was very difficult to penetrate the defense built by Lyon, but in the end they found opportunities that they could convert into a goal in the 43rd minute, so they could end the first half with a 1-goal advantage.
Entering the second half Lens was more confident with the advantage they had and the result they could create 2 additional goals. Lyon who tried to catch up could not do anything, they had to swallow this bitter pill.
Lens had a very good win. Lyon were very good in the last matches and I thought they might have a chance against Lens since they were playing at home, but apparently I was wrong. While Lens got an important victory with a clear 3-0 victory, Lyon was disappointed and left the match without points. They are at least comfortable now that they are away from the relegation zone.
Football is unpredictable, as Lens's win over Lyon showed. Like many, I expected Lyon would win because to their recent form and home advantage. But Lens's 3-0 triumph shows that form and statistics only tell part of the tale. Lens outperformed Lyon in every facet on the day.

Despite disappointment, Lyon has a bright side. Their position away from relegation is encouraging. They have time to recuperate and focus on the rest of the season. Lyon and their fans must not dwell on this setback. Instead, they should anticipate the next match with optimism.
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 04, 2024, 11:40:16 AM
While they had the chance to win the league title, they suddenly disappeared. Even the top four could be in danger because of consecutive points losses. However, they need to finish the league in the top four places. This is their only goal now. Inter is on its way to a comfortable championship on its own. Becoming a champion has never been easier for them. This year's surprise for me was Napoli. I didn't expect such a bad year from Napoli.
Napoli are so bad because Osimhen scores fewer goals. Last season he scored 26 goals in Serie A, so far this year he only scored 11, which is a big difference. The fact that Napoli won against Juventus yesterday... maybe something Inter Milan celebrated. Now they could be Italian champions on matchday 34 or 35. So 3+4 matchdays before the end of the season and if they are still active in the champions league then they have an even bigger chance to win. Juventus have to win a few more games, they should get a place in the Champions League for next year.
The Luciano Spalletti leaving had a greater impact than people think. Spalletti was more than a manager - he unified the team's style and mentality. Osimhen and other top performers are still feeling his absence. Even the best scorers might be hampered by injuries and expectations. A group downturn, not simply one person's failure.

Also, Napoli's circumstance should remind football managers of the value of stability and patience. The hunt for a quick remedy or perfect boss typically causes more trouble than success. I think Aurelio De Laurentiis should step back and focus on team stability. Finding a new Spalletti isn't enough - you must also create a culture where players and coaches thrive.
1003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 04, 2024, 11:23:34 AM
I'd love to see the Gunners winning the Premier League Competition anyways.

Me too but Arsenal are really messing things up while they are getting close to winning the title. We saw it previously and I wouldn't be surprised if it happens in this season as well.  Sad

Otherwise Arteta has built a really good system for this team. Even though Arsenal are a really young team they are doing pretty good work about challenging for top positions. Consistency is the element which is needed for them on the final weeks. Competing against Liverpool and Manchester City for the league title is a really tough work to do now. Both of them are doing great work recently and look decisive to go for the title.  Smiley
You're right about consistency, especially when competing with Liverpool and Manchester City. Last season's heartbreak is too familiar, and I fear it returning. Something about Arteta's current arrangement gives me cautious optimism. This youthful team's tactical versatility and perseverance are noteworthy.

I believe our toughest opponent is our own psychological obstacles, not Liverpool or City's stellar form. The last weeks test mental power as well as technique and strategy. With their commitment this season, Liverpool seems unstoppable. Part of me wants Liverpool to win the title to honor Klopp, while another part wants Arsenal to overcome their inconsistencies.
1004  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does having children have an influence on gambling habits? on: March 03, 2024, 05:04:21 PM
Most of the people are engaged in gambling even after a married life but some gambler leave gambling when they are married to someone. It depends on the mentality, even some people don't think about their children and family so they always like to take money from them to continue gambling.

I think married people who don't have job are more involved in gambling because they don't have money and they want to gather money to fulfill the needs of their money without thinking about the way of earning that it is bad or good.
married life at the intersection of gambling addiction and responsibility revelation. If you're using the family piggy bank for another round of slots, you should reconsider your hobby. Marriage, my friends, is like living in the financial red zone 24/7.

Now for the unemployed gambler. Oh, the joy of investing your final savings to chase that elusive gain for family provision. Noble? Hardly. Entertaining? Only if tragicomedy is funny. I recommend gambling with style and common sense. Roll the dice, but don't waste Timmy's lunch money. Fun gambling vs. being a royal flush away from a family intervention. Choose wisely!
1005  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: March 03, 2024, 04:43:20 PM
So gamblers should be more care with whatever they see online most ads are just created to over hype the casino. And after watching them one could feel he has seen an easy gambling casino to lots of win. The earlier you take gambling as a fun activity the better for you not to become addicted or disappointed with whatever you see around. It difficult to keep your gambling activity secret especially if you like using a casino gambling hall to place your bets.
We should always do things that will help us to stay safe while gambling to make money. The aim could be for money making but we should always observe when we are doing the wrong thing. Gambling can be very addictive and with some bad habit if we don't think we and do something that would help us to relinquish from such habit. We can easily get bad habit but it is very hard for us to get good habit because it can be pain for us trying to the right thing so we don't end up a miscreant. We have the responsibility to keep our gambling lifestyle from the public of it going to affect our image in a wrong way.
I think that the bad habits are those that are learned first, that are done immediately and the truth is I don't know, but always among the bad habits is not managing the eidnoer well, because generally the sprosn Those who play a lot in a game are people who cannot control themselves, who all the time think that they can win and who put in hard money and that type of thinking is the one who can lose a lot of money, so these types of Skills are the ones that have to be avoid, on repeated occasions in these forum threads I have said something, the most important thing in a casino is not that we play well, or that we know the rules as they are, the important thing about this is that we take care of the money, in general terms In some cases what matters in aid is money.

If we gave more importance to the value of money in a casino, these types of things like addictions did not happen, then given that we live in a Society Where basically things are very different and some point out only because they do Activities that others do not do, because they Classify that they are wrong, in this order of ideas things can be very different, erpsoans will always have a model to ensure according to society, a job X a university, everything is ideal, what happens is that everyone wants see the world's ideal and the ideal people when those People don't really Practice and are not like they proclaim it, in my case when it comes to casinos or something like that, I am very open I like to see that things are shared as they are , no I have no qualms about saying that if I play in a casino whenever I want, I win and lose , that's normal , and I'm Addicted , that's what People don't like to hear, but since I've always been Well, they don't mess with me, but basically bad habits in some cases what they do is make the player lose money.
Everyone's quick to demonize the casino life without appreciating the finesse it takes to navigate it. Money management? Its practically a high art form

I've always maintained, the essence of casino gaming isnt just about winning or losing. Its about the game, the dance with fate, and yes, I dance like nobody's watching. I win, I lose, and I laugh all the way through. Addiction? Please, I prefer "enthusiastically committed".

The world's full of critics, quick to judge from their ivory towers. But a bit of gambling is the zest of life, a taste of the unpredictable. And to those who wrinkle their noses? Bet they've never felt the pulse-quickening thrill of going all in.
1006  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: March 03, 2024, 04:20:28 PM
From the little experience that I have seen, many fathers have passed away and they left behind some debts that's needed to be settled, because it's even a sin to have debts on you after passing, I have heard from religious people that you getting through the heavens gate will be hard if you have debt on you.

In my country older people are now used to telling their children the amount they owe someone or some organization, just in case, because some people might decide to use lie and take money from the children, telling them that their dead father is owing them some money.

My father did the same, and we still see someone who came out and said he was owing her some money, and later I found out from my siblings that she lied, my father never mentioned her name as one of those he was owing some money, when the issue was dragged to a point, she claimed he already paid her some while ago and she just remember.
Its almost as if every family has that one "mystery creditor" who pops out of the woodwork with claims that smell fishier than a week-old sushi. A family bonding experience like no other, isnt it? Always, always verify those claims. Its like a detective game, minus the fun and with added paperwork. Your story? Its a classic. The sudden appearance of a "creditor" with a conveniently foggy memory? Priceless. Its as if they think the afterlife comes with a debt ledger.

Getting into heaven with debt? Thats one way to add a spiritual twist to financial planning. Maybe we should start betting on how many of these "creditors" would try their luck. It could be our own version of fun gambling - family edition.
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shocking rate of women interested in gambling. on: March 03, 2024, 03:39:41 PM
It is better to educate them on the dangers of gambling instead of taking hard steps to placing restrictions as it may cause the children to really want to attempt it by doing it secretly.
Yes, educate children is a must for parents so they will stay away from gambling, especially if their country prohibit gambling. With good educations and always takes care their children, parents will make sure that they are doing their best for their children.

Besides children, gambling now reach women and attract them to visit a gambling site. As we know that online gambling is easily to access, women, children, men are playing gambling, even if their country doesn't allow gambling. That can increase the number of addicted people to gambling if no education from the government and family. The government can show ads how dangerous gambling for someone with the affect that the other people around a gambler can get.
Their is what is called self instinct, it tells you when to stop something that is becoming a threat to your existence. Intense gambling and losing, what your mind should tell you is having to stop or reduce to it's minimal, this is your instinct and you do not primarily need the awareness of the government or another person? The government and school can be a secondary factor of creating awareness on the dangers.

From my own experience I have seen that children who are very small should not be placed where they can see the games of chance or the falls, because it is something very harmful, and I conclude that I do not recommend it and it is something that is not recommended to do because of the world, in that order of ideas, both fathers and mothers must be very careful with their children, because it is always very easy for small children to start inventing, so now things that have to do with women and the But they are expanding, for me it is great that women are also integrated into casino gambling, games of chance, because they have every right to do so, they have the right to have fun but I have seen in many cases that sometimes they suffer from thing, always a woman comes in to play because the dull ones are different because they start looking for them to talk to them, to flirt with them, this is very quick to present itself, sometimes there are women but they have names that do not reflect that they are women However, things are more open now and they can play like us.

What I like most about a woman when she plays is her way of thinking, because they are always looking for a different way of seeing the game than how we men see them, they have a lot to do and a lot to prove to make things very Well, for example, a woman does not risk a lot of money except when she realizes that she can risk it Because her assets are very likely to win, they are very safe and for most women it is easier to say no to the game that we Men play. The emopines are much better than a man, they know when to stop, when they should not play, and I think they have that by pure instinct, the ones I have seen are like that and they play like that, the truth is I like to know how they do it and I try to intuit as they think, but in general terms they are very Careful , and I hope that Every day more and more women join the casino.

exposing young children to gambling's glamour? A big no. Women's position in this arena, your thoughts? Right on. Women are literally altering the game. Their gambling style is revolutionary and refreshing.

Women's strategic gambling expertise is amazing and borderline enviable. Their ability to say "no" when the stakes are high? Thats temperance and planned risk-taking, not serendipity. Women gamblers face unwanted attention. Its true, but they handle it with grace and intelligence.

Getting more women to gamble? All for it. Why? Because they challenge the established quo and offer new viewpoints and strategies that improve gaming for everyone. Lets see more ladies running the tables and changing the game one game at a time. Maybe we males can learn from their playbook.
1008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you had this gambling experience? on: March 03, 2024, 03:21:34 PM
How deliciously terrible is it that she shows up unannounced and underappreciated when our bets are as half-hearted as a Monday morning smile? I throw some coins into the abyss without thinking, and she gives me a tiny win thats nearly offensive.

Im all in metaphorically and literally certain days. My pocketbook is open and my mind is strategic, ready to enjoy the bounty. And I get? Hard lesson in fate's whimsy. Weekend adventure was the same. How ironic? In that carefree mood, I never consider upping the ante. I feel like my gambler's instinct is drinking cocktails on a beach remote from reality.
1009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: March 03, 2024, 03:05:36 PM
~ To the dramatic and envious critics who abuse the rules for personal gain: their success is transitory. True intelligence succeeds by employing information ethically for defence, not attack. Build, don't destroy. Healthy gambling involves recognising the odds, stakes, and playing with an open mind. That shows wisdom

Great words, @slapper! I wish more would read them because they are so important. Times when you could gain something brutal attack or deception are gone long ago. Some people don't understand it and still are trying to rob gambling sites by deliberately violating terms and conditions in the process, but they succeed rarely, what happens more often is that they are punished, and punished severely, and rightly so.
Indeed.
In this gambling section, we have seen a lot of question that seems like they are trying to go against the rules. They keep on finding holes so that they can abuse it, but in the end, they are the ones who will suffer because of their misbehavior.
This never crossed my mind which is why I don't understand why they have that kind of goal in their gambling life.
I mean, whenever I cheat in console games before, I don't feel the enjoyment part of the game anymore. By doing that, we are wrecking the entertainment factor of the game itself. No more tension, no emotions of hate and joy because we already know the end game.
I think those who are trying to cheat in gambling are the losers for a long time and they cannot handle all of it mentally which is why they are trying to find another way to get their revenge. Sadly, it's short-lived. It will be impossible to find a hole in gambling sites nowadays unless they do something crazy which results are not just being banned but also jail time if they are caught.
I've seen console game cheats, shortcut searchers, and now gambling site hackers. Their crazy, misplaced ambition! To believe that exploiting a loophole is more satisfying than enjoying a bet

Cheating at gambling?  And for what? An instant of pleasure followed by shattering consequences. Rejection, legal issues, and the cheat label. Not the best life score. Gambling is about enjoyment, excitement, and unpredictability. I beg those forlorn souls hacking their way to hollow victories: Enjoy the game again. Accept triumphs and losses. Gambling's magic is there. Isn't the joy in rolling the dice, not in knowing the outcome?
1010  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: March 03, 2024, 02:31:01 PM
Joblessness and idleness could be a catalyst that drives that interest and comfort of spending that length of time daily gambling without bothering on other things. When you are engaged with other meaningful tasks makes you busy as a responsible to tackle and solve the task you won't have that much time to spend in a gambling hall or online casino but I'm the absence of responsibilities as such gambling could be taken as a means for you to stay busy. But I don't encourage anyone to gamble in that way.

This is accurate assumption that those people who are setting idle without doing anything are more in thoughts about gambling and other useless activities but those who are a part of any job will engaged in his job and will not be effected by negative explanation of people.

Other thing is that a responsible person is also unaware of gambling as he has to fulfil his responsibilities but those who are loved ones of their family always trap into gambling because they know that their family will not talk them harshly after knowing their fact.
How we paint with broad strokes fascinates me. The devil loves idle minds, right? Perhaps those "idle" minds are on a different path? The story changes when duties arrive. "Im too busy for frivolities," says the responsible soul, but isnt gambling so alluring? Gambling isnt just a pastime for the idle. Its a vivid mix of optimism and despair - and fun. I mean, who doesnt like gambling? Rush, thrill, victory. Its not about recklessness or escape. Sometimes gambling is just for pleasure.

How funny that we expect family will always catch us when we fall? Possibly, they're the safety net that allows the gamble. Heres to responsible gambling. Moments of joy in life's humdrum. Cheers to that.
1011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: your perception about gambling on: March 03, 2024, 02:10:48 PM
Gambling is for everyone, not just men or women. But because there are prohibitions from many religions, some people think about staying away from gambling.
Even though they stay away from gambling, there are still many people who continue to gamble because they think that gambling is a place that can give them a lot of money in a short time. But actually, this is not the case because by thinking like that, many of them lose and lose their money in gambling.
This ban on gambling came from each country agreeing to prohibit its citizens from gambling because the government saw that many of its citizens were addicted to gambling because their citizens often gambled without self-control.
But this gambling problem is a problem for each person, and they are the ones who decide whether to gamble or not. Even though the state prohibits it, they will still gamble.
Not always in our favor. I chuckle at the notion that its a quick cash grab; its more like a quick cash giveaway - to the house, usually. Gambling doesnt care if you're a man, woman, or anything in-between. Its an equal opportunity heartbreaker.

Religions and governments toss in their two cents, mostly because they've seen the fallout - a parade of empty wallets and the not-so-occasional existential crisis. "Ban it!" they say, as if prohibition ever stopped anyone dead in their tracks. Spoiler: it doesnt. But gambling's a personal gig. Its your call, your money, your potential spiral into the abyss of "What was I thinking?" territory. So, if you're gonna roll the dice, maybe, just maybe, remember: the house always wins. Unless, of course, you dont play. Then, congrats! You've outsmarted the system
1012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun and not a way of making money on: March 03, 2024, 01:53:15 PM
Even if all you seek for in gambling is some fun, there will always be that little hope of making money in you, if fun is all you want it won't be from gambling with money, you will get the fun without spending a dime but that can't happen with online casinos.

Let's not lie to ourselves, both responsible and irresponsible gamblers are all hoping to make some money, I tend not to lose a lot of money in the process, this is what makes me different from those who are reckless with gambling.

When I will be next lucky is unknown, and no matter how much I risk on gambling, the next luck won't come faster, why not have patience and use small amount of money on gambling? Because this is so clear that you can't predict when next you will win some money.
I get it - the "big win" thrills you. How often does it deliver on its promises of wealth? Rarely. As you say, patience and minimal stakes work. But why throw your hard-earned cash into this bottomless pit? The thrill tempts me too. I've learnt to spot the trap. You claim uniqueness, not risk. Bravo! But isnt that just "Im trying not to drown while I willingly jump into the ocean" in fancy language?

Why not reverse it? Invest in knowledge, experiences, things. That "next lucky" time is illusion. Chase it and you'll be thirstier than ever. Why not risk on something sure? Growth and delight without financial stress.
1013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why in some religion gambling is forbidden? on: March 03, 2024, 01:26:30 PM
Religion usually prohibits things that have a bigger bad side or loss. For example, gambling can have a bad impact if you are addicted to it, which can harm many people. Then prostitution has detrimental sides such as the potential for contracting dangerous diseases.
However, from a political perspective, of course these two things can be profitable for the country because they can be taxed, which is why not a few countries legalize gambling and prostitution simply to be able to take these profits as state tax income.
For people who are not religious, I don't think there is a problem, they can do whatever they want as long as it doesn't conflict with the rules that apply where they live.
I believe that something can not destroy ones career unless the person give it a chance, so betting can't destroy ones life if the gambler doesn't give it chance. Given gamble a chance to destroy careers is only when guy are addicted to it, and additions starts gradually gradually, at the time you know you are getting addicted to gamble you must make an amend so you won't lose everything you have. I have heard stories were gamblers says they sold their houses, cars and other furnitures and use the money to gamble thinking they will win but they ended up losing everything that they have worked for. So it's better to gamble with what you can afford to lose.
Few reasons why many religions doesn't like gamble is because they don't want people to get addicted and they know if one is addicted the person might sell his/her properties to gamble. But still there are people in those religions that still gambles.
saying gambling can't ruin lives unless one permits it is technically feasible, but why play with fire? My experience with gambling is that it promises mountains but often leaves you in holes. My friend, addiction is the ultimate shape-shifter. It bursts in as "harmless fun." You soon find yourself selling dreams on eBay to fund nightmares in a love-hate relationship with Lady Luck.

That faiths are gambling buzzkills? Their idea is right. They want to prevent the flock from despairing, not just stop gambling. Others in the pews take the risk. We're all drawn to danger, but don't glorify it. In gambling, the only safe wager is your resolve and insight to know the odds are never in your favor. Bet on anything else? You'll probably lose that bet. Remember that what you can't lose is your values, duties, and sanity
1014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing at gambling on: March 03, 2024, 01:02:50 PM
Firstly, painful. A nightmare, right? I'd be furious if my spouse gambled with our future and left the coffers empty. Fun till its not. My response? Call for a serious, no-holds-barred chat. Trust, right? The savings and trust were gambled away. Uncool. Setting boundaries and even seeking expert help are needed. Today its gambling; tomorrow, who knows?

What if I experienced this? Thankfully not. But I've witnessed it. A hard ride. Key? Communicate and possibly open a savings account. Right? Always have a backup.
1015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: March 03, 2024, 12:44:02 PM

Even many think gambling is free money but still its risky and all can't hold this all with I personally have many times incidents like these while we check peoples have heart-attack or other serious problems due to big loses in gambling because they were over-confident about their win and at the end they lost big amount which hurt them badly.
In this case we have same thing he was sure about the win but at the end having lost, and then he committed this which is another dilemma for the rest of family and community just because of this we want some better things about this all because without guides we can lose and also can go through for the worst ever things which are surely never been good deal for any person.
You and I have watched folks bet their hearts out just to have them symbolically ripped out. Sorry, no metaphors. Suppose they have an empty bag. Gambling confidence is like thinking you can outwit a shark. You cant. Its their territory. And the house? The house is the biggest shark. When they lose, people look like deer in the headlights. Its cruel.

Remember the true victims: the families and communities left to rebuild. The gambler loses, as does everyone else. Indeed, without guidance and a good strategy, the risks arent worth it. fThe answer? Knowledge, awareness, and possibly self-control. Making better choices, knowing when to fold, and recognizing that the only safe bet is not betting is key. How's that for reality?
1016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a addict lives within, which method would you choose to help them on: March 03, 2024, 12:23:30 PM
Sometimes it depends on their behavior because if you see them at their worst, then you need to act quickly without making any introduction anymore since they are not gonna listen to you anymore and this sometimes results in aggression you need to be ready for that. But if you see them slightly addicted and you want them to change, then nicely talk to them to avoid any misunderstanding because if you provoke them more, it will lead to their rebellion, and won't gonna listen to anybody anymore. that's why we have lots of people who ran away from home because of traumatic experiences and also some of them are also at fault since they don't listen to their parents and sibling's advice.
It also depends on the relationship between the gambling addict and you. If you are close friends then it will be easy to tell him that he might be crossing the line on his/her gambling habit.
If you are a parent, either a father or a mother, this is where it gets chaotic. Most of the young ones today see discipline as an act of abuse. This is why I am trying my best to let my kids know that I love them whenever they hear discipline from me. It's best if they will understand that when they are younger so that they will understand it while they are growing up. It's not abuse but mostly love, because as a parent we don't want our kids to walk the wrong path.

Back to the topic. It's better if we talk nicely when we are parents. You are right about that. Maybe that way we can understand what they are going through and maybe that could patch things up and he/she will go back to his normal ways of life, avoiding gambling. As a friend though, it will be different. It's best to tell them the hard truth or tell the parents about what is happening so they will be the ones looking for a solution.
A mix of polite confrontation and unfailing support is my friend recommendation. The key is communicating the painful facts with empathy that fosters introspection rather than resistance. This method creates a secure setting for honest addiction discussions, I've found.

I agree on parenting. Love-based discipline is tricky. Consistent love and discipline teach that advice is protective, not punitive. The key is to establish ideals and boundaries early on and make punishment seem like caring, not coercion.

Differentiating these roles is crucial. Parental speech is authoritative and concerned. Its important to approach these conversations with conscious kindness that encourages openness rather than defiance. Goal? To show mutually respectful ways out of addiction.
1017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Do You See Losing Your Weekly Payment to The Casino on: March 03, 2024, 12:00:40 PM
I consider losing your casino cash as a harsh reminder. A loss, period. I find it convenient but hollow to consider this loss as casino support. It may comfort us to say that by losing, we're helping the project. Losing is sad. Rationalization cant erase the fact that your money is gone.

I think betting a few times to promote the project is risky. Losses can lead to justifying additional gambling. Casinos profit from your hopes and dreams. Seeing a loss as support might help, but its important to be realistic. Lost is an outcome, not a plan. Feeling sad is fine. Thats my view. Be honest and know when to back off.
1018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: March 02, 2024, 05:41:37 PM
Patience is a trait that every human being must have, if someone has enough patience I am sure they will become a good person. However, not everyone can have a lot of patience, sometimes they lose because impatience dominates and this has a bad impact on life. There are people who say that patience has limits, I don't agree with that. Because if patience has limits, it cannot be called patience and means they have lost in being patient. For me, patience has no limits, patience is something that has no end.

If we relate this to gambling, it will be closely related to self-control. Yes, because someone who cannot control themselves means they have lost their patience and then they are enveloped in negative emotions. In fact, it's not just in gambling that patience can have negative results, it's the same in everyday life. If we are not patient enough, maybe we will fall apart in life, we know problems will come from anywhere and it requires patience to face them, we cannot accept them with passionate emotions.
Being patient is your morning reminder that you’re amazing & you can handle anything, Patience is not a virtue, it’s a skill. You can learn it like any other skill you already know, Life comes with highs & lows . Don’t break your heart by expecting things to be good all the time. Have patience. Invite & embrace happy moments,  Trusting the process isn’t only about having faith everything will work out & waiting patiently for manifestation, but also being the one progressing, catalyzing & actualizing your fruition into existence.
Sometimes, you feel drained & depressed to the point you don’t want to live anymore. You get emotionally overwhelmed. You want to give up yet you don’t. Why ? Coz you know there’s always something worth living for. Being patient is an art of rediscovering yourself over and over, & over again, It’s the deep belief that you can learn, adapt, figure things out, & even fail but you’ll eventually find a way to win. Waiting for the things to happen without fuss in a world where everyone is constantly trying to one-up each other means your mental stability & peace of mind are applaudable, Patience allows you to regain control, find clarity, get rid of negativity & create self awareness for yourself by providing ample opportunity to focus inward, Patience along with discipline are all you need to get successful in most fields in your life.
I agree that patience is something that must be trained, if we get used to doing it then I am sure greater patience will come naturally to us. Everything that happens in our lives may be a way for us to discover the true nature of patience. Life is not always on our side, sometimes we are in a position of pressure and we have to live with it. Tired, complaining, I think it's not wrong to do so, as long as we don't get to the point of giving up.

Sometimes this requires good spirituality within us, we have to get closer to our spirituality and not just do something that can be seen with the eye. I do this a lot, because I am someone who believes everything has been designed in such a way, it depends on how we live it, whether we will accept it with patience or something negative will dominate us.

I think our life is in 2 dimensions, namely consciousness and the subconscious, we have to be able to understand all of that to become human beings who can truly accept what happens. We also have to realize that sometimes things happen that are not our will.
My own experiences support the idea that life's challenges teach patience. Despite life's unpredictable tides, I've learned that fatigue and irritation are part of a bigger story. As you so well said, spirituality is my refuge and source of strength. I am convinced that our lives are planned but interactive. This idea inspires me to face life's obstacles with patience rather than negativity.

I understand how consciousness and the subconscious affect our ability to tolerate life's ups and downs. This realisation makes me accept that external factors will shape our trip.

I don’t know if I’m really staying my points well but I wish to know if people really have to gamble without intentions of making money?

Well, after all, it cannot be denied, right, that money plays an important role in this hobby that we enjoy. without money, we cannot play games that involve betting. so, money is a tool for us to be able to engage in games that contain betting, gambling and produce results. to be sure, there are many reasons for each gambler when they play it. apart from that, there are various motives why they gamble. so, we can see from various points of view why someone gambles. not only is it always money that plays an important role in why someone wants to gamble, maybe they are really looking for entertainment. for example, to unwind after their busy schedule and spend some of the money they can afford to lose, they can also visit a land-based casino to relax while enjoying the atmosphere provided by the casino. there are also those who don't care how much money they spend on gambling, the important thing is that they are happy with what they do.

Well, we're just talking from one side of the point of view. so there are many motives for various gamblers, apart from the intention to make money. what is certain is that out of the millions of gamblers there will always be gamblers who gamble without the intention of making money, one example is as I stated above. for me, gambling and football are like a package that I like. apart from getting the sensation of the essence of football, betting takes part in increasing adrenaline when I watch a match. the rest, just let the results determine whether winning or losing is part of the risk.
Money fuels gambling as a catalyst and medium. Doesnt it amaze you how it becomes an instrument for adrenaline-pumping chance and strategy? Your understanding of gambling's many causes resonates. Entertainment, excitement, and belonging are important too.

Gambling, in my opinion, goes beyond money. Human emotions, desires, and experiences are woven throughout it. Gambling as a relaxant is difficult. Indeed, gambling money is often a sign of emotion rather than a transaction.

Your football analogy is very powerful. Bettors' emotional investment and enhanced match experience are highlighted. Its a stark reminder that gambling is about pleasure, regardless of the outcome. This complex concept illuminates why people bet beyond financial benefit.

Your scenario is shockingly typical and highlights the dangers of binge gambling. A lack of self-control and a misunderstanding of gambling's nature have caused many problems in my years of betting and monitoring human behaviour. Know when to stop, not only addiction or greed. Many gamblers chase losses like the individual you mentioned. The need to recover losses drives this behaviour, not greed. This risky cycle can swiftly increase, leading to illogical and financially harmful judgements.

I've learned to admit a problem and seek aid in such situations. Gamble to entertain, not to win. Setting and sticking to budgets is key. Knowing that the house always wins helps avert the situation you experienced.
