16cv7wyeG6RRqhvJpY21CnsjxuKj2gAoK2 is an address that has received newly-generated bitcoins. Can you tell me who mined them?
I didn't mean to imply that I could tell you anything about any coin history, I'm just a hobby miner, but people who know how to trace stuff can figure things out. To try and answer your question, I would assume that they mined the coins as that seems to me to be the only way to receive them with no prior inputs, and that was the point of my post above.

Freshly mined coins have no history, and provide greater privacy and anonymity.
See, I would think just the opposite. With no history it is much simpler to trace the coin to it's origin address and see who mined it.

But important for me ;-)
And then I'm sure you will never forget it. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) But it does seem like you found some sort of bug where your best ever share reset to 0, that is probably something ck will respond to, but I doubt he can/will manually input a best ever share.

izanagi does not reply to every post or application (and who could blame him with the shear number this campaign receives). If you are accepted you are added to the google doc, just check that doc daily and see if you show up. If you're not there after a couple days chances are you were not accepted.

The pool currently pays every blocks found unless you are under 10,000 satoshi, then that ends up in your 'dust' fund to be paid 'some' time in the future once I add code to total that 'dust' correctly.
I look forward to this "sometime" in the future, I hope it's way way way out when btc is worth a ton of fiat and then we all get these paydays of like 0.1btc, but it's actually worth several thousand dollars or something. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Newbie question so be gentle.
Why we wait for 101 confirmations before the payout? Is it because it takes that much for you to receive BTC reward? Thanks
That's exactly why, the coinbase transaction that generates the 25btc into the wallet is not valid until 100 confirmations, you cannot move or spend the coins before 100 confirmations.

Coinbase is at 456 currently. So we had a nice little jump on price. I hope it slowly continues. But still nice to see it happen.
It's a bit of a double edged sword. Sure the higher btc price makes mining more profitable and able to support higher network difficulty, but it also attracts more miners and turns on more machines, thus increasing network difficulty and requiring a higher price to support it. A bit of the ol' snake eating it's tail... But generally I agree, much better to be sitting mid-400s than mid-200s like we did for so long.

Can you set my bestever back to 203.670.815.116 on adress 1Q8VghUJkNeFnaKy553b9buUWKxFYL579G
I'm sure the answer is no. What purpose would this serve, if it was even possible? You "best ever" is really unimportant.

Yes, it's part of the software installed in the controller. Kano's update reduces the CPU load by a significant amount, making your machine more efficient. I forgot exactly what he did, if I wasn't lazy I'd search the threads and find his posts about it. Plus he changed the miner status page to show more useful info, definitely worth the update.

Anyone have any use for a U3 that no longer hashes? Fan spins, usb led comes on, but it won't hash. If you pay shipping I'll send it to you.
Hey Mike, is this offer still open? If it is, I'll take it (if it's not too much$$)...they have heat sinks in them that I can use for project. Can you check shipping cost to zip 12937 and PM me cost, etc? I'll add a little more on top for your trouble. Sure thing, I'll have to climb up in the garage tomorrow and get the box down, I can get you a cost on Friday. It will be much cheaper than Austria. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Whats the purpose of an uncirculated coin, 1 BTc is 1 BTc ??
Uncirculated fiat currency is worth more than circulated, I suppose some people feel the same about bitcoin, but I don't really get it. It's all just data, but some people pay more for things "just because".

cgminer is installed on the S3, it is what runs the S3's hashing, it's a Bitmain fork of the real cgminer. You should update it to the latest version Kano produced last year, it fixes some flaws - instructions can be found here: https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer-binaries/tree/master/AntS3You run cgminer executable with miners that do not have built in controllers, like usb sticks and such.

Well...golly, Kimo Sabe...I just moved Doc (S2), Sneezy (S3), and Sleepy (S3) over to hk. Wouldn't want it to get ronery...they can sing "hi-ho, hi-ho" together in binary... ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) You mean they can sing "i o, i o" together (that's the binary version). ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Or maybe baby jesus powered s3's
Too funny... In high school my friends and I would allegedly go around to all the churches in the area at xmas time and steal all the baby Jesuses. Good times!

It compounds hourly I believe, so it really is better than nothing. I earn as much monthly here as my "dust miners" earn from kano.is. Every little bit adds up...

Phil, have you determined if there is a correlation with the weather and the hash rate/solved blocks, or is it still speculation?

I think the record is held by sidehack with a one-off stick he beefed up, or does that not count?
The up-coming "no limit" oc stick contest should prove interesting.

You have to also remember your hash rate is cyclic and is never a fixed rate. It's pretty difficult to take a snapshot set of numbers and say it should be a certain way. That's why the hash rate chart is always something like this... ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FUqluWlO.jpg&t=663&c=f01EoHkzWwDOiw) Excepting that the line shown as "average" is not the average of that cyclic rate, the average should be about through the middle of the cycles. Or is that median value? Mode, mean, median, average... statistics are not my strong suit.

Did a quick check online and it would be approx. 0.15 BTC. You could almost buy one that works for that much, but if you want it and will pay send me a pm. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)
