I saw that Roma actually performed well in the first half. They were able to equalize the score after trailing 0-1. They were also able to lead 2-1 before Marcus Thuram equalized the score at 2-2. In the first half I thought Roma were really able to appear quite solid. I don't expect them to win the game but at least they will get a draw.
But in the second half everything changed. I don't seem to see Roma anymore like in the first half. It seems like Inter Milan tried to change the tactics of the game and it seems like it worked well. They were able to score 2 goals in the second half and ended the match with a score of 4-2.
I think this is not a bad result for Roma and De Rossi. But still, this will be an evaluation for De Rossi to see the shortcomings of their game. Feyenoord will of course watch the replay of the match to see Roma's weaknesses.
Roma vs Inter Milan was a match that had 6 goals and I think Roma had their say in this match. In the first half of the match, they tried to contain Inter and make sure they don’t enjoy their free play of football. That pattern worked but still the major problem which is their shaky defense line was their major challenge in this match. Inter came in with a different pattern and they were able to break down the defense Roma tried to have. For the UEL i think De Rossi will need a proper evaluation of that match and build more on his strength and improve his weaknesses in that match, that way he’ll be able to have a say against Feynoord in the UEL. They’re very much in the UCL but I don’t even see them going past the last 8. The team generally haven’t had that Chemistry that Bayern is sure known for. Thomas Tuchel pattern in this Bayern team haven’t been able to unleash the beast this Bayern team have. For this reason, I think winning the UCL will be quite hectic and a challenge for Bayern and Harry Kane. Harry shouldn’t have much of a worry as it’s not his fault that he could go trophyless rather the pattern of the coach hasn’t been able to get them the trophies they deserve. Football is just full of surprises like considering the fact that Westham won Arsenal in the Emirate stadium and for Arsenal to come back at them with this humiliating result is really wonderful because i never even thought of Arsenal winning Westham not to talk more of winning them by 0:6. With the determination that Arsenal have shown in their most recent previous matches and with this win against Westham today, I can confidently say that Arsenal is still very much active in the title race and what surprises me most is the huge score margin they've been having like they won Crystal palace by 5:0 and now Westham by 6:0 when they hardly win with a high goal margin. Had it been that Arsenal mostly win matches with high goal margin most of their opponents would have always been afraid whenever they are to meet each other.
With the kind of team work that Arsenal players showed in their match against Westham today i don't think FC Porto can be able to withstand their pressure when they meet in the champions league round of sixteen match on 21st February so definitely, Arsenal is gonna win FC Porto.
Well the EPL particularly is real full of surprises as you shouldn’t relax thinking you don’t have much work to do. In the case of West Ham, they won’t into the match with Arsenal with plenty of confidence from their first leg win. Real Madrid vs Girona was an interesting and competitive game we witnessed as Real Madrid defeated the opposition and proved once again that they are a strong team in La Liga. I'm a real madrid fan and I watched the game completed the game was really interesting the two teams were attacking each other most of the time the attack was high. Girona lost badly at Real Madrid's home ground and were unable to concede a goal as the game ended 4-0 until the last minute. Girona didn't play well because it wasn't their field and they didn't choose a good attacking side and they didn't manage to score a goal in this period. The performances that Real Madrid's young stars have had have been truly remarkable and the way they attack and deliver goals is truly magnificent. The three young stars have been outstanding for the Real Madrid team, their attack has been very good, which is why they continue to play well for Real Madrid and hopefully their future will be even better. Real Madrid's impressive win has moved them to the top of the points table and will require the opposition to work much harder to get to that point.
Girona has been doing really well in the soccer season, surprising everyone with their great performance. Even though Girona is playing perfectly, I didn't expect Girona to win when they faced Real Madrid because they are also in good shape, especially since the match took place at Madrid's home. In my opinion it still won't be that easy because to become a leader in La Liga you have to have deeper experience. Even competing with popular teams in La Liga is not an easy task because popular teams have more experience with various strategies to be able to regain their position first. but I really hope there is something different this season Girona must become the leader in La Liga to see new history without the boredom of seeing every season led by a team that always dominates La Liga. The African Cup is also coming to an end and Beşiktaş can be better but it will not happen immediately. I'm sure it will take some time. The old president and old management made some terrible moves and it is hard for Besiktas to recover. In this season, Besiktas mostly played a very bad football and it cannot get better fast. The new transfers seem great to me, finally Besiktas is spending money also. But we can't wait miracles here. But fans are very hopeful for the next season. The new president seems like going to make big moves. But it would be futile to wait good results this season.
Besiktas is one team in the Turkish League that are to an extent doing well for themselves. Even though they don't get to have a spot in the UCL, they still try their best to earn a spot in the UEL and while at that segment of the European tournament, they do their best to gain good results. They now have a new president who's got the ability to make the team better. The funds will be generated and dispersed accordingly for the team. In the first half, we had good performance from AS Roma as they were doing good job in both defense and attack which give them good reward, and they ended with 2–1 lead but in second half we have no mercy from the Inter Milan, and they were in complete control which not allowed AS Roma to hit any shot on goal which is impressive from the leaders, and they score three goals which give them good win, and now they are going to be clearly leaders for the top until end of the season.
Roma needs to work on their defense which is not giving as they needed at this level and things are surely more difficult in coming weeks as we are heading for the end and most of the top teams trying to have good results and better chance of ending at the top spots now tomorrow we are going to have AC Milan hosting Napoli which is also trying to recover from early loses.
Roma overtime have been a good impactful team in the Serie A league, they're a good side and they've got huge task to prove a point and endure that they don't go below commendations too. I have always been rooting for Liverpool to win the league this season since to me they are more consistent than Arsenal though i am a Chelsea fan but i hate the fact that City just continue to dominate the league almost on every season while at the end of 2023, they were under performing especially when Rodri and KDB was out and at that time i knew they will bounce at most this year January, just like how they do every season dominating the league from the beginning of the year till that season ends. Also I knew Liverpool only has a chance if they remain consistent and avoid losing or drawing to continue to keep the gap they had against City, since even till now I do not see Arsenal as title contenders but I guess I can say Liverpool failed to do just that, maybe this is as a result of their injury crisis now or maybe inconsistency on their part.
Now Liverpool will be hoping City drop some points in order to top the league well and remain consistent because though they are currently topping the league with their win today but City still has an outstanding match which they may likely win and be topping the league.

Very poor performance from both teams. None of the teams utilize their chances and I was wondering whether they both want to test the ability of their goal keeper in the penalty shootout. DR Congo were just unlucky totally both in the game play period and in the penalty shootout. If they were clinical and converted their chances, they would have won that game from first half. South Africa on the other hand seems as if they are not happy to play in the third place play off because that was not the same performance put up against Nigeria in the semi final. Congratulations to Bafana Bafana for winning the third place of this year tournament but that was not the best from them.
Today is the final day to round up the AFCON tournament for the year 2023. The host country will play against the giant of Africa. These two sides are strong opponents and the previous results justifies how they've been locking head in most of their meetings. It's definitely not going to be an easy game for both of them but our support is behind the super eagle tonight.

Since Daniele De Rossi was appointed as the manager of AS Roma after the club sacked former manager Jose Mourinho, he's been able to win all the games he's managed before tonight's home league game against Inter Milan and that actually made many especially the club fans to think that they stand a chance of winning against Inter Milan or at least getting a draw from that game but unfortunately for them, Inter Milan was just too big for them to handle as the league leaders delivered an incredible performance to take all three points from the game.
Roma's defeat tonight I think will affect them when they play next week Thursday in the UEFA Europa League knockout play off away at Feyenoord. Today I really feel confused about which match is worth watching, because 3 very decisive Bigmatches from three different leagues are being played today at the same time, in the Spanish League there is a match between Madrid vs Girona, in Serie A there is Intermilan vs Roma and while in Bundesliga Leverkusen vs Munchen, in the other two leagues the big teams have been temporarily ahead, but I was quite surprised when I saw the footage on the television screen that Bayern Munich were currently 1-0 behind Leverkusen, looking at the statistics and a glance at the current Bayern vs Leverkusen match, it looks like Bayern is very difficulties and in fact I didn't see their performance as usual, even when I looked at the match statistics, Leverkusen was quite in control of all lines and Leverkusen even managed to create 9 opportunities with 5 of them being shots on target, while Bayern were only able to create 3 shots and only 1 on target, this is clearly a warning for Tuchel to think about other strategies in penetrating Leverkusen defense and the second half should be an opportunity for Tuchel to get around the deadlock in their attack line, I think Munich will have to play a slightly different game today because the strategy implemented by Tuchel looks quite easy read by leverkusen players.
We’ve got some big matches going down across the various leagues in Europe this weekend, and almost seems to be one to watch. The match between Real and Girona is one big match and I expect Madrid to sure get the win in this encounter. Barcelona is one of the popular teams and has experience in the UCL in the past, but currently it is experiencing a bad trend because the lack of players is one of the causes of this bad situation, but that does not rule out the possibility of failure for Barcelona, but in fact, with the existing players, it is impossible Barcelona was able to break through to the final round while other teams that have the same high popularity, such as Real Madrid and Man City, have very high quality players according to what the coaches want, while Barcelona can only get players from the transfer market for free.

Yes I think this was far superior and now Real Madrid won both games against Girona in La Liga and there is no doubt as to who the boss in the league is for now.
But I am negatively surprised because I thought that Girona would show a brave performance and that they would at least go all out and try to score a goal themselves. But this nothing of anything that they are known for. Girona had zero shots on target and two corners, which is quite disappointing for a team that is the strongest in the league offensively.
Since Real Madrid barely shows weaknesses this season, I think that this was an early decision in the race for the La Liga title. Girona did not win three out of their last five games whereas Real Madrid is consistently winning their games and only dropping last minute points against a top team like Atletico Madrid.
Despite the fact that Girona have improved this season, Real Madrid would always be superior to Girona, they've been very dominant in the Laliga for years, whereas Girona good form just started recently, well I appreciate their good effort in sitting up and trying to make a name for themselves in the Laliga but Marching Madrid is Something I don't think they're capable of yet, maybe in the future it would be very possible but right now, all they need is maintaining the top 4 in the league for more seasons to come. Girona didn't quit impress in that game, yes Real Madrid showed class In the game, but with the way they performed this season I expected Girona to fight back and atleast try to make the game very tough for Madrid to win, well this is one loophole they need to work on, else other teams might begin to understand the tactics of winning them. |

He has been building this remarkable project at Leverkusen and in my opinion he has already proven that he is ready to take on some of the biggest challenges. He could become an amazing coach for Liverpool and he has the perfect environment that suits him so well. He might not be as emotional as Klopp, but the connection between the fans and the coach and all other responsible people in the club will serve him well.
Barcelona has been struggling so hard and now when Xavi decided to leave the club at the end of the season, it seems that there have been issues going on behind the scenes. You are right that his status as a Real Madrid legend isn't a problem here, but as I said Barcelona doesn't seem to be the perfect club for him. Liverpool sounds like the perfect fit for him.
You might think it would be a mistake to move there, but there are chance that he could succeed at Barcelona, they might be going through financial crisis and find it difficult to give him the necessary funds to attract top players or rising stars into the club, but Barcelona is a club with top talents all they need is a little addition and a good manager to bring out the best in them like Alonso did with Leverkusen players. Therefore if he could succeed at Leverkusen with average players, why can't he do same at Barca? But the thing I have doubt about is if he'll be moving to Barcelona, I don't see that happening, especially now that Jurgen Kloop has made open his plans of resignation at the end of the tournament, that's a big opportunity for Alonso to coach one f his previous club and we all know how well good coaches admire moving to the EPL, I think Xabi won't waste time moving to Liverpool if they come calling. |

Klopp wanting to get a premier league title before he resigns is definitely on the table and he is getting there slowly. City is still doing great and there is a possibility that they could win the title, and that wouldn't be really a shocker neither, it would make sense and I can see that happening for sure.
However, if Liverpool does end up winning it, that would be fun to see. I am not saying that it is going to be all that easy or anything like that, it is just that we are talking about something that would be a great farewell to a great manager. I hope that people could realize that they could end up with something much better, Liverpool getting both premier league, fa cup and europa cup all on his last season is valid possibility.
That's really his target before resignation, and to be honest it would be lovely if he achieves that. Just like other great coaches like Sir Alex that won a trophy before their Resignation Klopp would add the list and that's why he's trying his best to add one or two trophies to his record, he's close to that but not as close enough, cause City pose to be a very big threat to Klopp achieving the EPL this season. Yeah you're right, adding another EPL title to Liverpool before his resignation would make lots of sense,however Liverpool would really miss Klopp if his resigns and I fear things could get worst for the club if they fail to replace him with a good manager, they could end up like Manchester United, that been struggling to achieve the EPL since the resignation of Sir Alex Ferguson. And that would be very bad for Liverpool. |
