1081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You cannot win in gambling on: December 03, 2018, 09:00:44 AM
If what OP means is in long term we cannot win in gambling, He is kinda right. Maybe we can win 4 of out of our 10 bets and even if we say we win 8 out of 10 bets that we made, casino still wins. maybe you we're able to win today but what about tomorrow or the next day. Luck will run out eventually so better if you are already in a winning streak, stop and take your profits with you. Come back another day.
Of course that he is right, about 50%, another 50% goes to bet that he is not right about what he said. Its gambling, its life. In order to win or lose first you need to play, and as long as you live you are playing that game of winning and losing. If its fair you will win and lose, what more depends from your bets, your choices. Play to have fun, live to have fun, money and life is what we spend everyday for one thing or another, like we spend days in our lives that cant be returned, so have fun to not regret later.
1082  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto adoption on: December 02, 2018, 01:00:21 PM
I am believe if government regulate cryptocurrency for payment beside fiat money, government must be preparing regulation on crypto taxes. Maybe government make regulation that we should report our digital asset. Beside that, for government there is many ways to collect taxes from local exchanger.
Taxes for crypto holders are already started in some countries as the government have supported this kind of currency. It could possibly happen into others also as their government imposing such policies.
Crypto adoption is somewhat no fully engaged nor all areas are known into these. I may think that only 1-2% having involve in here, mostly people who are high risk takers.
What yesterday was  impossible to happen is discussed today in G20. They discussed about bitcoin and crypto holders, but they postponed final law about it until 2020, before they investigate it a bit more. I`m not a fan of governments or banks, but they are talking about it more and more and thats a good sign that adoption is going in good direction. In my surrounding many people still dont accept idea about crypto, now they hear a lot more about bitcoin than before, but still they are not open minded about it, but that will change, first step is almost completed, everyone to know about it, later will be everyone to use it.
1083  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Trading or Online betting? 2k Usd budget. on: December 02, 2018, 10:29:52 AM
Newbee here. Please guide me.

Which is more profitable in the long run, Crypto trading or online betting ?

For me, I would prefer to do the crypto trading since it will give high chances to earn good profits if we really know how the market flows and if we know how to be more patient. Although doing online betting is a good and easy kind to earn profits, but at the same time it is also a very risky kind because you will have a chance to loss all your savings.

Yes, crypto trading is more elegant than online gambling in term of profit in the long run. The number of bad experiences in the long run from online gambling are numerous. Indeed we won't always get good profit from crypto trading but at least there are hopes in it which will be determined by our own actions on how to manage it.
At least we can rely on our skills so that the possibility of winning can be higher in trade. whereas in the gambling you cannot depend on anything. so the possibility of profit may be very small and may be equivalent to the possibility of loss.

At this point, if you're looking short term, gambling may be more worth it. If you have the balls to make the risk. There's really nothing going well for crypto at this time. But it's an entirely different story if you plan on going for long term since certainly investing in crypto will be more profitable.
This topic is like "what to choose, apple or pear?" Which one is better? You cant give the straight answer on that question, trading and gambling are risky, who doesn`t know what to do can lose money before start. With 2k budget its better to invest in some coin and hold it for a while, and with some little amount, like 10% which is 200$ to try other things and to see what you like more, and what suits you more. Before you actually do something its the best to try it with some little amount, that would be the best thing to do for all the newbies.
1084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble or think it's a waste of money and time? on: December 01, 2018, 06:06:07 PM
Gamble for fun and your odds to make some money in gambling can be just higher. When you gamble only to win, you will feel pain every time you lose, and gambling is the game of winning and losing, that`s something you cant avoid. When ever you feel a pain that will distract you from game and most likely you will make a wrong step, or bet, how ever you like it. Play like you have nothing to lose and maybe you will have some fun and from fun maybe you can make some high bet and win a lot.
1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best altcoin for 2020? Yes I wrote 2020! on: December 01, 2018, 04:54:47 PM
Bitcoin is my first choice. the reason is that bitcoin is still one of the potential crypto coins to date. so the BTC can still develop even after he reaches the max supply
There is a lot of controversy behind every coin, bitcoin, ethereum and all others. Bitcoin is my first choice too, but I try to pay attention and to have many others. Best altcoin for 2020 can be ripple, stellar, iota, eos, tron, many others. I said controversy is behind each of them, you can read many good and bad things about every coin, but in the end you must put everything on the table and choose what you think its the best.
I read what others are writing, but decision is mine when I get to investing my bitcoins in other altcoins, and I think its good to have more than one.
1086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale and Roulette on: December 01, 2018, 07:34:58 AM
Zero is advantage for house, you can`t bet red or black, there is always a chance to be green. Martingale is strategy that you can use almost everywhere in anything, but it has one flaw, sooner or later you will run on losing streak, this strategy should be used from time to time, and to be combined with other strategies, using this strategy alone is a bad idea. Believe in my words my friends, after so many trying I have a lot of experience in that, good luck!

It's true that martingale is flexible and it will lead to loss on long run. But there's no thing such as "strategy" on luck-based games as most "strategy" i've seen just lower winrate/increase win multiplier or reduce bet multiplier on lose.
If you open dice site, roulette, or any other lucky based game, and for example you bet just on odd numbers its some kind of strategy. You can bet two times on red, one on black, two times over 51 one time under 49, there are many strategies in luck based games. Luck based games are just patterns, to win you need to use right pattern in the right time, everything can be worked out to be strategy, and my experience tells me that you need to be flexible and to change the way you play as much as you can, that gives us more chance to win.

1088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This is a golden time on: November 29, 2018, 07:20:14 AM
Yeah, for those who are not getting any cryptocurrency yet for their investment I think this is the right time to get cryptocurrency and keep holding until the end of the year.

Many people got a second chance to buy under 6,000$, I didn`t believe that we will see lower price from that point, but that happened, this dip is for them. It`s not just for people who are not in crypto yet, its for all people who patiently wait to buy again after top in last year. Black Friday brought many discounts, for those who had some extra cash bitcoin price was more than nice, under 4,000$, we are over that mark again, and I hope we are not going more down.
1089  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to survive on: November 28, 2018, 07:30:42 PM
It actually depends on your specialties, strategies, qualities, resources and tools or devices you are using. If you are a type of person who are not yet familiar with reading charts or fundamental resources then HOLDING is the right choice. TRADING is the vice versa of HOLDING. If you are a type of person who knows how to manage risk by setting stop loss point or sell point, then choose SELLING. Before you INVEST, make sure that you do your own research first. I believe that MINING is not that profitable anymore and only applicable for large companies. I hope that these answers your question  Wink
In falling market you can have many specialties, but the most important one is calmness. You need to stay calm when price is dropping and to have courage to buy at 3,500$, now you can harvest the profit, already, but with a bit of calmness and patience you can wait and see price grow a bit more. This time I didn`t buy bitcoin, I use this dip to buy some other coins and they grow too, but I`m a long term trader I will wait for a while before I sell.
1090  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm loosing. What to do? on: November 27, 2018, 02:17:54 PM
What to do now when things get worse every day, only hold will help us? Who is trying to survive in such a market? Your advice, friends!
If you can sell your coins in a loss then do it. If you can't hold your coins anymore then sell it. Most if not all of us are in a loss right now because of the massive drop of Bitcoin and there is nobody we can do aside from holding it. Aside from holding, I think one way to make profit is by accumulating more coins and wait for it to rise up.
Selling is losing, if you bought for higher price. Most of us have much less if you value your stash by dollars, its normal thing in crypto thats happened many times before. Now only thing we can do is to wait, to be patience. Its like that with bitcoin and other coins, but I have fun with some low cost coins all the time, you can buy some coins in this dip and in short or mid term I make some profit like that, trading is predicating the market and that game never stops, some lose other wins, you choose your side.
1091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale and Roulette on: November 27, 2018, 12:43:27 PM
Martingale actually works but not on  roulettes because roulettes are totally random  . ive tried martingale method on hi ' lo gmes and dice games ,   i did manage to win several times when compared of playing randomly .   though there are also times that martingale method wont work , maybe because the gambling site are already detected the strategy that ive been using .

It can work on roulette if you play red/black because there's equal number of black and red squares on the wheel. Martingale works great with game that only have 2 viable options like heads or tails. It doesn't work on games driven by algorithms that calculate odds for many players at the same time, so you can't successfully use it in online dice. A few wins don't prove anything. Some people get lucky and it has nothing to do with their strategy. To know if it's the strategy you need enough rolls.

Don't forget the "zero". It's neither black nor red, but green. On long term the house will have this little advantage over the gambler.
Independent if it's Roulette or Dice, on the practice they are very similar.
1092  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you feel about market regulation? on: November 26, 2018, 07:09:04 AM
Personally I'm ok with crypto currency regulation. This just means that people with vested interests in crypto currency would be protected by tje law and by extension will be prosecuted if found of fraud or any criminal activities involved in such in return for paying taxes. But the thing is it should be pro crypto currency and not just getting taxed without any protection.
I`m ok too with crypto regulation, its transparent, available to all, easy to use, you cant compare benefits from decentralized system supported from all the people for people with centralized system where handful of people decide what is good for everyone, that handful of people is richer every year, while everyone else suffer from that kind of system, that has to end very soon.
1093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you remember your first sports bet? on: November 25, 2018, 09:27:22 PM
Yeah the first time that i made a bet, it was a football match

Real Madrid against Barcelona, i bet'ed like 10 LTC (they were around $15 each one during those times) for Real Madrid.

Barcelona won and i lost those funds..

I don’t remember my first sports bet exactly no, it was a parlay. I can’t remember what I put in it but I do remember that it lost. It seemed to set a precedent for my gambling career Cheesy

It hasn’t got much better since Smiley
Like you and many others my first bet was in football match. Mostly gamblers start from sports betting, most of us played something, for fun or professionally, and passion to watch big games and make some occasional bets is how it all starts. Now I like to play poker and dices more than to bet on sports, but I still do it from time to time when I watch some game I like to place a bet on that game, its more interesting.
1094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this sound realistic? on: November 25, 2018, 07:24:10 AM
If you want to gamble, see it more like you are paying the casino or gambling platform to have some fun (just like you do to go watch some movies in cinema), which if you are paying for anything, you are not meant to expect it back.
If every gambler thinks this way, no one will go home with a sad face thinking that they we're robbed by the gambling site. Problem with other gambler is they made gambling their way of life, they make a living out from it, daily they go to casinos or visit gambling sites thinking they can beat the system and get profits.

The addiction to gambling is very serious. When you are very interested in gambling, you will ignore life around you and always on the gambling website every day with the purpose to earn money, but it's impossible. So that if you want to join the gambling, you should arrange the time reasonably to balance between life and game.

Yes it is serious but it is not that kind of serious, maybe in cinemas but not in real life.

There are a lot of gambling addicts every where especially if you have a gambling places close, in our country there are also people that is addict on gambling but not really like what you just said. Cockfighting is one of the most popular gambling in our place or maybe in our country. It is not that bad since the government can control the addiction of it by limiting the gambling times in a week or some days.
Gambling addiction is a serious problem, mostly gambling addicts gamble cause they think they will win one day make a lot of profit and that will earn back everything they lost, when you expect too much from gambling its a way to bottom. Like OP said people should think about gambling like about some fun activity, with no expectations, risk to get addicted to gambling will became very low.
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me to take decision. on: November 24, 2018, 08:28:10 AM
I missed out of the opportunity to buy siafund in 2015 and when I came across the farm gold I felt like the token is designed like SIAFUND but with a twist (Shark Tank for food). I checked their Blog and it says that FARM Gold is the new SIAFUND! What is your opinion? Is this a safe to invest?

Now you need to wait prices to bottom and to buy, maybe bottom is now. Now you are looking to get into top coins, all of them are in big dip compared with prices from past few months. It`s never 100% safe, but cryptocurrencies are the future, cause of that you need to get into top coins first and in meanwhile look for some good new projects and in time get into them to, but never forget to have bitcoin and ethereum, its my advice for all new people here. Good luck my friend.
1096  Economy / Gambling / Re: Lordmancer II - an MMORPG where you can earn crypto on: November 24, 2018, 07:06:44 AM
Wow I'm really impressed this game actually looks like "King's Bounty" old game and I love it. I understand how gameplay works but how can I earn crypto? some special events or pvp? I hope it's not a mining.

It is not a mining, it is an open market. You can sell rare items on the market to other players.
I liked kings bounty a lot! How you earn those rare items? And how other players buy it? Can we earn money in the game and than buy something or we need to invest our own money in the game? Thanks in advance on answers my friends Smiley

You can loot or craft items. The game is free to play, but you can pay to use some nice paid options.

Thanks! I will give it a try, sounds like a nice game. If I need any help I will come back here, do you have any other advice before I download and start playing? I can download this emulator if the game runs better like that, I saw the comment from veleten above.
1097  Economy / Economics / Re: If you had 10000$ on: November 23, 2018, 03:07:22 PM
Half on Bitcoin, and split the rest in various coins. Ethereum for sure, maybe Ripple and smaller coins. I would like to find some not popular new coin that would show promise.
I always suggest people the same thing, have some of the top coins in your possession, only later have fun with others. Chasing x 10 in so short period of time is gambling, nobody can give guarantees, look at the market, it dropped very hard. Bright side is that bigger the drop is, more money you will earn later if you have good timing and buy on bottom.

1100  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto solve socioeconomic problems? on: November 18, 2018, 01:26:54 PM
To be able to solve some problems first you need to know what is the problem, and problem is in people, their lack of knowledge. People don`t understand current economy, its even harder for them to understand crypto concept. Mostly people think just about the money and how to make it more, no matter how. I believe that crypto have power to solve some problems in economy, only if we use it in the right way.
