1082  Economy / Gambling / Re: make some developments related gambling on: October 04, 2023, 11:40:53 PM
There are casinos that don't want to make their mobile apps yet because their website is responsive to mobile users and that's totally fine. It's true that there's now a wide range of people gambling coming from their homes through desktops and laptops. Now with how things are becoming more convenient the desire to gamble whenever and wherever you are is just a few taps away from your smartphones. Are you suggesting that all casinos should create their mobile apps as that's part of the development that you're saying? If so, it depends to their userbase and they can see it on from what device their users are accessing it and if there's a demand for those casinos that don't have app yet and there are suggestions telling them to make one, they'll do that for sure as part of their great user experience and growth for their customers.
1083  Economy / Economics / Re: Women are more economical than men. on: October 04, 2023, 10:32:07 PM
We had this argument where I was the opinion that most men spend money on things that they are obligated to and cannot control it at times due to responsibilities, men are used to spending money already and because of being used to it, they can find it hard to be as economical as women can be. Do you agree with this unpopular opinion that women are more economical when it comes to money and are able to manage themselves and their homes better than men do?
IMHO. I'll give you an example of why this shouldn't be a discussion for most. If we're going to check if men are the ones who can't control themselves and have bad spending habits, we check the top 10 richest persons in the world because all of them are men. In reality, there's no gender preference on this one because there are men who are good providers and at the same time, good at money management and the same goes for women. While we're talking about how good people are with their management skills in money and by being a responsible family person, there are people that are the opposite of it. It all sets in experience and where a person has grown up by learning all of those life lessons. That's why on this one, maybe in nature men can't be as good as a woman but even in ancient times, it's known that men are more powerful in many things than women. We're in the modern days today and these things are all changing.
1084  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bunny Loader: Another Clipboard malware on: October 04, 2023, 05:50:42 PM
Those who are prone to this type of malware are the ones who keep on downloading from unknown sources on the web and download random files that aren't verified. While it is a good measure to have an anti-virus, the best form of anti-virus is being informed and aware of the potential risk upon downloading files that you're not aware of. Like what we're saying, "prevention is better than cure" and it's also applicable to this. We don't need to wait until our devices are infected by it but avoid any forms of red flags that are likely to get you malware like bunny loader. A usual practice before doing a transaction is not to be lazy checking the address if it's correct or not, and don't get tired of reading each character, letter, and number before pressing the send button. It sounds simple but will help you verify and avoid making a mistake.
1085  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin volatility on: October 04, 2023, 03:41:16 PM
Aside from the volatility, it also shows that we're getting higher all-time lows in every bear market. On the 2017 bull run followed by the 2018 bear market, we've got $3000. And during the 2021 bull run followed by the bear market in 2022, the all-time low by that year was $16000 and that's just close to $15000 which was like 5 times more than the 2018 ATL. Everyone is seeing the need not to sell too early and we're all being serious and learned from the past years that these cycles happening on Bitcoin are real and backing it up with accurate data makes more sense. It's a no-brainer that many have learned the effect of halving and what it does to Bitcoin both in its technical and economic aspects.
1086  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keep learning newbies, The forum has a lot to offer on: October 04, 2023, 01:02:42 PM
Congratulations. You're about to become a junior member soon so you're right and keep up with the progress that you've been making. Learning isn't just for the newbies but it's for everyone to progress and learn something new and gain knowledge of the things that we don't know yet. There are newbies in rank but they have a lot to offer to everyone from wherever they come from like they're already experts in the specific fields that they've been working for.

I do not suggest newbies immediately start learning Bitcoin trading instead of know the depth of Bitcoin. Their main focus should be explore the forum more and more and read. I didn't even realize when I learned things about Bitcoin.
While this thread exists: Stop discouraging people from Bitcoin...
It points out about trading and I reckon what you've said is that newbies don't have to rush to trade. Take a little step at a time and enjoy the exploration that they are learning while staying here. As this thread says, a lot of things have to be learned from the forum, there's trading but it isn't the only thing that they'll learn about.
1087  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: Crypto firm Nansen ask users to reset their password on: October 04, 2023, 11:26:14 AM
I don't use their service so I'm safe even if it's the fault of the third party. But thanks for this OP, like what we're thinking of being safe, we just can't be safe at all times with our credentials through these services that we have been using.

It's not a direct data breached though, it was a  third-party vendors that has been compromised.
Based on the letter, 6.8% of their user's data were affected within 48 hours or so which means that there was a direct impact and breach on them. How many could that be with their entire database as the third-party vendor as said is also used by fortune 500 companies? That's a big breach IMHO and it's just that they're not crypto-related companies. Hopefully those other companies that have been using that third party service are also going to notify their users that they've been affected and give reminder to do something.
1088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to play Poker with bitcoin and altcoins? on: October 03, 2023, 11:50:58 PM
The popular poker website that I know is Swcpoker. Before the domain was swcpoker.EU but it has changed to a new domain every time you pay a visit to them and it has become:

Quote
swcpoker.club

But it looks like they've been off logging on to their account for several months and there has been some bad experience on their thread a few months ago.

Yeah SWC had a solid software but it also feels a little sketchy at times.
There are several accounts that literally NEVER lose, even though they have no real strategy. Just raise and play every hand and in allin situations ALWAYS get there.
These accounts are mostly sitting on 1v1 heads-up tables, so they are easy to spot.

Also the player base is tiny so it’s tough at times to find good games Sad . Even weekends there aren’t more than 200 players online, and only a few actually play. Rest is just chatting about drugs and other nonsense. Many of the players are weak though.  Grin
Your btc get directly converted into chips. 1btc is 1 million chips. Limits range from 1/2 2/4 5/10 ……. up to for example 1000/2000 chips at cashgames. Very limited offer on tournaments though, don’t even expect sng games.

Another good way to deposit / withdraw with crypto is for example in the gg poker network at sites like ggpoker or natural8. Coins get converted I to $ though and when withdrawing from $ in btc/usdt/usdc .
But there you have a huge player base and many tournaments and tables running every day.

At nitrobetting, formerly know as nitrogen sports, you can also play poker but I strongly advise not to. There people are colluding, you are playing bots and other dirt. Safe yourself the disappointment.
It is you brother that's what I'm saying that has said some bad experience there and good thing you've come by to this thread and shared the experience that you've observed on them. I remember them having a lot of players years ago and they were really blowing in the poker bitcoin scene on the forum but then, I think with transition and stuff things have changed and they decreased in popularity, unlike almost everyone who has forgotten that they're popular in bitcoin poker.

I have a feeling most smaller poker sites are like this.  I'd be hard pressed to play poker for serious money after all the scams that have been found over the years.  Not saying they are but I've noticed the same in that some accounts play "terrible" but always make the right call and it's not style of play.
It's hard to maintain a lot of players in most poker sites if they won't do that much interaction and promotion to get them aboard at most times, so it's really likely that you're right that other smaller ones are like them.
1089  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is a 20% Annual Return good ? on: October 03, 2023, 10:47:14 PM
You're nearing to a month within the next 2 weeks so I hope that it goes well for you and it's nice that you're answering the queries here and providing some clarity to how you've been doing that because most of the posts like this that everyone has seen before seems just like a bluff. How long do you plan to test this on real account?

As of today, 02/10/2023, it has generated a 0.76% return in 17 days. We'll see how it performs until October 15th, when it reaches the 30-day mark. I will upload a link to the Excel file containing all the trades I've opened, generated by the Binance platform.
Okay, thanks we will see if you've been doing well on the actual since you're good based on your testing with the non actual so should you be done with that, it's nice that you'll share the data.

I plan to conduct a backtest for around 6 months.
That's gonna take time and I'd expect that it's like gonna be a roller coaster ride for you. But since you've been doing the test for so long and you believe in what you do and only you know what's happening currently, good luck with that for 6 months and I hope that it will generate you positive outcome.
1090  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we truly need cbdc when bitcoin already exist? on: October 03, 2023, 05:38:06 PM
It's like a diversion tactic from them because they can't defeat the real decentralization that's happening through the revolution of cryptocurrencies. Do we need CBDCs? No, the government needs them because that will show that they can control whatever they want to control. But as for us, we've gone through with that and done with it. Let themselves apply, invest, and work on it so that we'll have another laughing stock for which they've done way worse than the earliest and darkest days of Bitcoin.

1092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop discouraging people from Bitcoin... on: October 03, 2023, 12:46:35 PM
Don't take it as if people are giving bad advice or discouraging someone who's asking to trade Bitcoin. Well, don't ask if they don't want to get some tips on what they should do. Because it is not about the discouragement but the concern that the other members are sharing with the new ones. Yes, many would say that they shouldn't trade because they're still newbies. But, there's also some backup with that if they want to trade, do it only with an amount they afford to lose. These people who give their advice are even giving the shortcut to avoid mistakes that have been experienced before.

Bitcoin is for everyone, and no one should be left behind.
I agree that it's for everyone and we all should go up wherever Bitcoin is taking us but trading isn't for everyone just as what it seems you're pointing out.
1093  Economy / Economics / Re: Ideas without action: An overview of a successful entrepreneur and a dreamer. on: October 03, 2023, 10:42:51 AM
I want to add one more really point into that.

Fear of losing their family while pursuing dream

Yeah, it may look add from others but still, it is one of the reasons why the majority of the ones who are filled with ideas can't afford to chase their dreams cause they might be the only person who can feed the family, or thousand other reasons like that which we may experience/ passed/heard is also stop them from doing what they can potentially do because they may not have the financial stability to run the family if there is no income generated from that person so they all keep doing even if they wish they could do something better.
This is one of the realities of life. There are breadwinners who are just giving up their dreams because they need to choose earning money over their passion to support their lives and bring food to their table. But those people that have dreams and despite the situation that they're facing, they won't just give up their dreams. They find a way to support their families and at the same time, they're pursuing their dreams. This doesn't just happen in movies and films but also in real life. And even when they reach their goals and dreams, they're not going to stop supporting their family because it's like in the blood of those family-oriented people and will do whatever it takes to do both things, to show the love to their family and also to reach the dream that they're wanting to achieve. IMO, these days, most of the families are changing their mindsets and parents don't want to pass the burden of theirs to their kids and letting them do what they wanna do.
1094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's first tweet since 2018? on: October 02, 2023, 11:07:22 PM
The name of the profile is satoshi and was even verified. But I don't think that it's real him, the real satoshi was gone for so long and he won't just be back out of nowhere tweeting that. And I think this topic and this one: Craig "Faketoshi" Wright saga continues. His team turns against him. are connected.
It's because of the quote on that tweet of satoshi's profile.

Provides important context · Easy to understand
Craig Wright claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, but has been proven to be a fraud. He controls this account and it should not be trusted:

That's the way to go and that tweet says that it was rated as "helpful". LOL, of course it does. CSW is impostor and a con.
1095  Economy / Economics / Re: Honda Now Accepts Bitcoin and Ethereum As Payment Methods on: October 02, 2023, 09:18:35 PM
In Japan I guess according to the article, since this is very new I believe it will only be within that location until maybe other countries government decided to expand their options and embrace crypto transactions legally.
AFAIK, Japan is a crypto friendly country and having this company as their wing in the automotive industry then that means that these huge companies have no problems anymore using third parties if someone wants to pay them crypto. It's like that we're going to see this type of adoption coming from the corporations that don't accept crypto yet. It is ideal for them to protect their sales from the volatility and have the crypto converted into their currency as soon as possible when they receive the payments. Now, who's going to be the part of this history that will do this purchase of his/her Honda car through crypto -> FCF Pay?

Yeah I believe this is a choice those who wants to spend crypto on real goods and don't mind going through kyc will have to make. Because the third party partner is centralized and will definitely abide by all rules regarding kyc.
The price of their cars aren't just like the goods that we purchase in the grocery stores and that's why they'll for sure be subject to kyc, those who will purchase it through cryptocurrencies. Honestly, it's better if they'll just accept it directly but then this is all about business and decisions and they do understand the volatility that receiving payment in cryptos will be. That's why this is the solution for those loyal customers of theirs if they insist of paying them in crypto. At least now, they've got an option to pay for it and that's an additional payment method for them.

Still put crypto and btc most especially in the public eye. This will create more awareness than already existing.
I agree, knowing that they're a known brand and they've got millions of customers globally. That adds to the exposure that crypto and Bitcoin mainly through them if they have announced it already.

1097  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do I need a mentor in my bitcoin journey. on: October 02, 2023, 05:53:24 PM
I have made a bold decision to start my bitcoin journey. But just like every a new born baby needs close care and attention to grow I really don't want to make a mistake in any thing I am doing. I have this question to ask.
Don't think that you'll make a mistake upon your move although that could really happen for the first timers and there will be a valuable lesson with that mistake. But if you just stick to the plan that you'll make like holding and you won't sell anytime then just so be it.

''Is it advisable to to have a mentor who I can always go to as a newbie in the crypto space or I should rely all my knowledge on things I read online for my growth.
You can think of those reading materials and the authors of it as your mentors, so it could be both. You're in the best forum where mentors are just lowkey here and willing to give you piece of advice on what you should do. But not everyone that will give you a tip could do good for you. You make yourself a plan, DYOR and if there's something that you don't undestand then start being vocal and post those questions here and everyone is gonna welcome you with different opinions that could be good for your decision making.
1098  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is a 20% Annual Return good ? on: October 02, 2023, 01:51:02 PM
Yes, that's an acceptable return but are you able to prove that it can happen to you through trading? How many times did you back tested that?

I conducted the backtest from 2018 to the present date in 2023, and on a monthly basis, it has consistently yielded returns ranging from 0.8% to 3%.
Nice, so that means that this is really backed up with real test and you've been doing that for so long. And the percentage that you're projecting is realistic unlike those that I have seen in other platforms that are unrealistic and looks like a too good to be true thing. And hopefully it goes well with your actual test with real money.

Currently, I am actively testing it on a real account since September 15th.
You're nearing to a month within the next 2 weeks so I hope that it goes well for you and it's nice that you're answering the queries here and providing some clarity to how you've been doing that because most of the posts like this that everyone has seen before seems just like a bluff. 1099  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Always ask questions, it doesn't make you a fool. on: October 02, 2023, 08:45:55 AM
Everyone started from having no knowledge up to learning and then becoming masters to what they do. And for newbies, do not be shy to ask about new things that you've just read and heard. Even those that have been here for long, still asks questions. It's just free and there's no need to think that it's bad to ask questions unless it's literally a foolish question that's just mocking or hurting someone else. There could be some feelings that you guys feel when you asks questions and then you're answered impolitely. Don't make that ruin yourselves and still ask questions politely and just go straight forward as you just want to learn something new and ask valid questions.
1100  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Notification that you should never click on: October 01, 2023, 11:01:12 PM
I do get a lot of these with my teenage email and that's because I've been registering in almost everywhere before, I just sign up for anything that I see when I was curious and careless. Even til' now, they keep coming but I am not interested with them because I know that all of them are scams.
There are also other topics but the same tactics that they're sending through email, like you're falsely hacked and they're giving you the scare that they've got your files, never click the link that they've included in that email because that's the first move that will make you phished and install some malware. Next time, to those that haven't learned about these email scams, never register anywhere or don't use your main email to random sign ups.
