I think that how competitive PSG in the french league will not affect the performance from the club in the UCL. PSG doesn't have messi and neymar. In PSG, Mbappe is one key man that they don't want to give off yet. Even though his contract is set to expire by summer, they still know he's advantageous and would want to keep him. For Mbappe, his stay in the team beyond and after the expiration of the contract seems to be dependent on his intentions as well as the teams performance in the long run. At the end of the day it's the three points that matters but I'm sure fans would have loved to see more than a goal. The funny part is that aside from that two goals against Cameroon, Nigeria has not been able to get past that one goal margin and I feel they'd need to do better when it comes to goal scoring. The Super eagles have been lucky and coupled with a strong defense and good keeper, they've not really found much challenge when they always get those goals. This win has ensured their ticket to the semi's but if I were them, I would employ the mentality of not underestimating any team, but always carrying at the back of their minds to score as much goals when they meet their opponents. I was just hearing so much excitement all over my neighborhood after the end of the game, and honestly I felt somehow. Nigerians rejoicing that we beat a small country like Angola? What’s needed is the format the coach has been able to employ which is to defend and then get one goal and try to secure it. The coach understands this and luckily for him the players understands too and are playing according to pattern and it’s gotten them to the semis. And yes the victory is worth celebrating because Angola haven’t been a bad side in this AFCON and every feat attained should be celebrated as it helps to boost the confidence of the players that the fans are happy with them and standing right beside them. Stanley Nwabali has been solid in goal for Nigeria and I think after this AFCON, some European clubs will bid for him. Yet the money spent by chelsea meant nothing. Even some players have become flop. It can be seen from how bad the performance from chelsea is. I would not even call this as a achievement by chelsea. Bringing pochettino to the club has proven to be another blunder from chelsea caused by he is also doing the same thing like what potter did in the past.

Well Chelsea went to down times when Abrahamovic was forced to sell the London club due to ongoing Russian And Ukraine crisis. And now the decision by the UK board is now haunting the football club. As since Todd’s takeover the team haven’t had a good record of success, rather it’s been from one worry to another and we the fans wonder when things will get better. Great and Huge signings were made during the summer but yet nothing to show for it rather we’ve got those fine players now turning to flop in the Chelsea colour. Pochettino too was another bad decision of the board and he’s proving that match after match by his poor decision making. Palmer isn’t a striker, he’s tried this out and didn’t work so why still trying it and against a tea like Liverpool. I think Poch needs to be fired and a more experienced coach who’ll be able to build these young players be hired then we might see Chelsea back in their glory days. |

Will putting Onana on the bench make Manchester United's goal better? because in my opinion it would be a gamble and although there is a chance of getting better, getting worse is also quite possible.
André Onana did not live up to expectations, but maybe that happened because Manchester United rated Onana too highly, they didn't take into account that there is a difference in competition between the English Premier League and Serie A, where we know the EPL has tighter competition or indeed Onana still needs time to adapt, although it does not rule out the possibility that his performance was not impressive because Manchester United's defenders did not perform well so their goal was easily penetrated by opponents in many matches, and we also often see players who can be said to have failed in their first season but slowly start to improve in the following season.
There's no 100% assurance about that, but if you don't experiment how then are you going to get solutions? Manchester United's defense is not in a very good shape no doubt, we saw it in the match against Newport County when their 2nd choice Bayindir was featured, he was pretty good and the both goals the opposition scored were due to defensive errors. However Onana has caused United a lot, in some matches he looks less focus and fail to block easy shots, currently Onana have concedes 50+ goals which is a very bad record for a goalie. I think the deed have been already done by getting him, bit there's no more time to keep being patient till he gets better, the more they keep giving him more playing time, could do a lot to kill Bayindir's form. I think ETH needs a rotation in the GK wing, I see Bayindir as a player with lots of potential and it can't be discovered if he gets less playing time. |
