1141  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: May 13, 2023, 04:36:07 AM
Until May 23? that's impossible or it is April 23? which is also outdated. I am also a self learned programmer too which now I've got an idea how you deal it . For sure it was agent GPT your friend are using but the problem is how do I get the data.  Also regarding the data it is really best to get a realtime data if you are using ChatGPT AI because they dont have access on internet they are constantly feed with information so such predictions is difficult if there are problems occurred on that day
Even with real-time data I hardly doubt that chatgpt providing accurate answers would change the bet since you'd have pushed the bet before the match started in the first place. Accidents like injuries and weather conditions aren't exactly something that they'd have access information to beforehand anyway.

This is a great point. I didn't really think of this. I prefer AR glasses over VR headsets primarily because of how lightweight and comfortable they are. They won't make us look weird in public too.

Imagine playing AR gambling games with your friends while being completely aware of the surroundings. This could be the future of gambling.
I'd say that's because of how VR is made as of late? In general, I think VR would be a lot better in the future, machines would probably come as simple as how mobile devices are compared to their prior versions. Though I'd say they're both use-able in the future for gambling, especially in the case where AR would probably be used by the majority when outside in the far future. VR is kind of like your home PC by then imo. Now though, I don't think there's much difference in AR and reality, as for VR, well, it just simply sucks, for now at least.
1142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where and How Do you watch live boxing and MMA matches on: May 13, 2023, 02:57:03 AM
Discord usually if there were some kind people enough to show it. I got linked to a few Facebook lives in the past as well so usually those two when I was alone. I've had experiences where me and my friends meetup to watch it together (or in Discord as well, whatever works really), whoever usually buys the ticket and shares decides where we go watch it, it's pretty fun. Haven't really paid for the last few ones I've watched, my passion for watching it died down quite a bit so I just watch whenever one of my friends wants some company to watch with.
1143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto VS Fiat Online Gambling as per Google trends on: May 12, 2023, 02:48:09 PM
...I'm actually just surprised that "USD gambling" is even a searched term. Like wouldn't people just idk, search gambling in itself? Crypto gambling is understandable though, crypto is still a relatively new term after all and associating it with gambling is kind of new-ish in terms of people who don't know what crypto actually is (even though they're literally the same, just that the other uses crypto and decentralized features, if they even exist in the first place in casinos).
What I did not understand is why to use Bitcoin Cash or Ethereum. Why not use crypto with a cheap transaction fee and instant transfer? Before I end I have another question for those who are constantly gambling. Which is your most preferred cryptocurrency for gambling?
I'd simply say it's preference? I mean I can't really question rich people's mindset when they use Ethereum with its sky-high fees all the time. I mostly prefer Doge and Litecoin nowadays but I used to play with BTC and ETH way back when I first started. Fees were something that was a pain in the ass back then, but I didn't really think of looking for alternatives since I didn't know much about coins.
1144  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sports betting into the hands of Web3 users|can we design DEX for sports beting? on: May 12, 2023, 04:12:28 AM
Is it just me that has no images loaded?

Anyway,  I'd probably appreciate this more if there was a more in-depth explanation of what the site does? Since there's a lot of so called "DEX" platforms that never really pushed through afaik. Plus, a test site as well or something similar.

It's also a wonder how you're going to circumvent the laws since creating a DEX casino would mean completely removing your site from said laws I reckon.
1145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: May 12, 2023, 12:05:22 AM
This is just the basics, but anyone should be aware of it:

Budget: set it BEFORE you start gambling and stick to it.
Have a break from time to time, it is important to let your brain stop and consider.
Avoid drugs / drink as much as possible, they will make you loose some control innevitably.
Seek help if you feel you are no longer in control. Make a phone call to a friend or go out and speak with someone.

Anything else anyone can think of? Like... read this post before gambling? Tongue
Set the limit to the budget. I reckon people should have a budget set for entertainment or money set for expenses you'd use to spend for yourself, take a small amount from that instead of separating it.

It might also be useful to read self-exclusion terms in a casino, maybe try to put it in a easy to access button like bookmarks (or anything if you have something easier and faster).

Lastly, don't be dumb enough to chase for wins/losses. Just take what you can get imo. It's not a job, sure you can feel frustrated if you lose but limit it to that.
1146  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🥇BEST CASINO IN 2023 - Community decide🥇 on: May 11, 2023, 12:22:37 PM
For starters, I think you can add these to the list?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5333602.msg56883071#msg56883071
There may be some dead ones though so I reckon you can filter them out yourself (though I think it's up to the latest since the thread has a notice about it being updated). The thread also has BTCGosu linked, so you can refer to casinos there as well that can be included not yet on your list. Realistically speaking finding the majority of the casinos included through recommendations seem kind of a hassle, and technically speaking finding threads like these can still be included as a "community" effort.

Seeing that others have also pointed out fake votes, maybe add a requirement? Merit, or date registered, or both. Probably better to be done on a separate thread though.
1147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People with quick rich attitude always mess up with alt coins on: May 11, 2023, 05:00:01 AM
The allure of being able to quickly get rich is something most (if not all) people would never be able to remove from themselves. It's why scams work in the first place anyway, at least, some of them.

And it is for a fact that some people have managed to become rich overnight due to meme coins. It's much more solid as well in terms of chances compared to lotteries, so it's allure, especially to new investors is real.  Highly doubt we'd get this out of the system really, newbies grow to be more experienced yes, but they also get replaced by even more newbies.
1148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can NFTs last forever? on: May 11, 2023, 04:08:37 AM
All of the NFTs you know and love today, have their data stored their on centralized servers (images, video, etc). What is only stored on the Blockchain is just the properties of the NFT itself. While you're basically the "owner" of the NFT, you could lose technically lose it if the centralized server hosting the content of the NFT goes down.

So, what's the point of investing in NFTs if they can disappear in an instant? Unless all of the content is stored on the Blockchain itself, I don't see how NFTs will be able to last forever. Are there already solutions in the works that I'm not aware of? Please enlighten me on this. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
Funny how in that case it's kind of safer just to save images that you commissioned in your pc instead. Either way I'd say they're still kind of worth-ish, especially if you plan to resell them just as quick. Storage servers wouldn't just die like that all of a sudden, so I reckon said services would probably give some leeway and be able to transfer it to an existing one.

On the assumption that said leeway never happens, I'd still say it's worth it since comparatively speaking, there's much more in terms of risk in handling an artwork physically compared to nfts. On digital, I'd say it depends on how you handle data yourself. This is if it's just in terms of storage, since afaik nfts (or at least the og idea) had some form of returns to the og artists whenever said nft was resold.
1149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New trend PEPE ? Seems many projects Launching with PEPE Names. on: May 10, 2023, 01:58:53 PM
Have you observed the significant number of project launches featuring the name "PEPE"? If you check the recently added list on CoinMarketCap, you'll notice that approximately 90% of the project names include "pepe." Lately, meme coins have been experiencing a remarkable surge in market capitalization. What are your thoughts on meme coins and the prevailing trend of pepe-related projects? Personally, I wasn't initially a fan of meme coins, but it appears that they have gained considerable hype. I'm curious to know your opinion on meme coins as well. Have you invested in any of them?
Isn't it just the hypetrain? The origin, PEPE coin, was in the highlights of the altcoin market afaik. No idea honestly how it happened (and I have no plans on trying to figure it out), but seeing as it made the headlines, I reckon a lot of projects are trying to ride the seemingly foundation-less wave and try to profit off of whatever they can. I don't really consider this a "trend" of sorts, it's probably just a temporary hype for the coin itself. Meme coins aren't exactly anything new as well, idk what happened with the PEPE investors but they hyped the train pretty well to the point where even regular investors wanted to have a bite.

I haven't lately, I mean I did buy SHIB in the past, but I don't actively look for them nor try to ride in any "hypes" like this one, or like what Elon did with doge. I just avoid it like a plague. Sure, it can give a LOT if you get lucky, but that's the thing, it's all about luck.
1150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you agree with ChatGPT on the club that might win the premier League? on: May 10, 2023, 04:16:27 AM
If we are going to ask artificial intelligence questions about a subject, we must first give it documents. Failure to do so will cause the results it will give us to deviate from reality. We can give answers that are far from the truth and be deceived by it. This is an important issue that we should pay attention to. These and similar predictions often fail because we treat AI as a predictor. Rest assured, artificial intelligence is not like that.
This sums up what chatgpt can do actually. You have the option of using plugins to let it access live data on the internet,  or use the model behind it and provide documents yourself that the bot would access. Sadly said questions as I've said multiple times are not predictions, they're just collation of data, and said data also limits the chances of said "collation" being accurate due to itself being one.

In the end chatgpt is just a language model. It helps in summarizing stuff to provide accurate analysis, but it can't read uncontrolled factors at least, not yet.
1151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer Original Slots or slots from 3rd party Slot providers? on: May 10, 2023, 12:10:47 AM
I don't exactly mind either? Ofc due to the variety that 3rd party slots offer, I mostly play them, but simply because of that reason and nothing more. If casinos were to create their own collection of a variety of slots, I'd probably play more on those though I'd say it still depends on the quality of the designs.

If I were to solely pick between a single og slot vs a single 3rd party slot, then I'd simply just play on both tbh. Slots don't have that a big of a barrier for you to be unable to play both if you wanted to anyway.
1152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet should be used to keep bitcoin safe? on: May 09, 2023, 10:54:47 AM
I am a newbie in bitcoin form. I invested in Bitcoin a few days ago. I don't understand one thing. I will invest in Bitcoin for the long term. I use a mobile device. Now what wallet do I use to keep my bitcoins safe. I have total three wallets installed on my mobile device.
~
Trust wallet, mycelium and electrum which of these three wallets is the most secure?
Which wallet would be better than these three wallets?
I bought Bitcoin from kucoin, so far it's in kucoin
Seeing as it's for the long term, then a hardware wallet. Electrum would work as a temporary one for now if you have no funds or still planning to buy, but if you can, buy a hardware wallet immediately. Honestly, I would've probably recommended you to read up on Bitcoin, exchanges, and wallets first before telling you to proceed with your buy orders, but since that's past, we can only go for the next best option temporarily.

Honestly, you're doing fine so far, keep using electrum and don't store your coins in exchanges (in this case kucoin), and buy a hardware wallet if you actually can. Also start planning up a plan, maybe DCA as a recommendation since it's a long term investment.
1153  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN BULL MAY BE IN TROUBLE on: May 09, 2023, 04:15:22 AM
According to what's happening in the market today., Bitcoin's value has changed a lot in the past, still going up and down quickly. Recently, it reached a really high value in April 2021, but then went down a lot in May 2021. There are different reasons for this, such as concerns about the environment and government rules. Some people think that in the short term, the price could still go up and down a lot because of different things like the economy and what people think. It's hard to know for sure what will happen, so people who want to invest in Bitcoin should be careful and think about the risks and rewards before doing anything because the Bull market may be in trouble.BTC

And that's just how Bitcoin is? And in the first place the bull market being in "trouble" only ever applies to people who assume the bull market is going to happen in the time frame they expect in the first place. Ignore that, and you'd simply see Bitcoin doing it's own thing. Volatility? Always been there, environment/government issues? Hs always been a topic after afaik after the 2018 bubble.

Just be patient imo, especially in the next 2 years, never panic sell since what's lost is lot already anyway. Plus, I don't think I'd consider events from 2 years ago as "recent".
1154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of rewards/bonuses do you prefer? on: May 08, 2023, 01:45:51 PM
Caaaashhhh. Withdrawable ones. I know most casinos, if not all, frown upon giving money itself as rewards but hey, its still something we'd honestly want. Other than that then well, free spins I guess, and welcome bonuses. Maybe yearly rewards depending on deposited amount as well.

It's also welcome for some rewards to be just given randomly without any requirements, like just login at x day maybe as the simplest form of requirement to redeem it or something.
1155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How's your gambling experience right now? on: May 08, 2023, 12:15:52 PM
Is anyone still playing today with this high fee? I think those gamblers that leave funds in the casino are very happy that they didn't need to experience this fee drama.
The latter is 100% me. I rarely gamble nowadays and when I do I often leave a lot since I get bored really quickly, so I have quite a bit of left overs to the point that even if I play a few more times I'd probably be fine without depositing. I also use coins with low transaction fees sometimes so it's an easy bypass, sometimes that is.

Wouldn't say the same for sports betting though, if fees are still the same once TI comes up. Last Apex tournament that I betted on didn't have insane fees so I didn't really notice.
1156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Expect Consistent Winnings From Gambling - A Lesson I Learnt. on: May 07, 2023, 11:58:10 PM
of yesterday when I overheard him discussing with some one I am also close to, he was asking to help him look for a Job, that what he planned didn't work out - what ever he planned that didn't work out, I don't know, but this is a lesson for us all to learn from.
I can already feel that this "plan" of his was getting rich off of gambling. I mean, it isn't that impossible from his pov, it already happened once after all. Sadly that "once" would probably be the maximum chances of his successfully being one through it.

I've made the same mistake before, not through gambling but well, thinking that money was easily gained after getting an opportunity, it wasn't long lasting though and after a few weeks I was luckily able to realize how dumb I was in assuming everything would remain the same till the end, so I don't really blame him. Even if he saw it happen to someone else and vow not to become one, some events just tend to push us in becoming really short sighted.
1157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm getting tired of the high fees for gwei on: May 07, 2023, 12:16:25 PM
ETH in a nutshell. Back when I was active in some projects, ETH having that insane gas fee was a nightmare for me and my fellow community. It was also one of the reasons why I just sat down and stopped trading in general, and just started hodling and DCA. The fees come in every now and then when I try out new coins, but hey, at least it isn't that often anymore. And as much as I hate NFT's, it is a pretty active community with a lot of people transacting on it, so it isn't that odd really.

Though I think simple research would show the fees are high because of PEPE coin? Not really following it, never really want to touch meme coins anw.
1158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding cryptocurrencies and investment. on: May 07, 2023, 04:53:11 AM
Crypto is a digital currency that comprises different coins. It's important that we understand how this coin works and which to invest in. How do we identify the best coin and the period to invest in these types of coins?
There's no "best" imo since coins can be used in different types of scenarios that the creator wanted. Bitcoin encompasses most (if not all) usage of crypto as a currency, but other coins delve deeper into specific parts, e.g. crypto casinos with their own self-developed coin that introduce benefits depending on the amount you own, so it's a case-by-case basis imo. Ofc if we were to talk about decentralization then only Bitcoin really fits the bill, but if we pull that out and check their usage as "currencies", then they're all the same really, but if you were to look into the specifics, then well, it's similar to how you would judge a company and whether you'd invest in their stocks or not.

Long story short is really, up to you, and do DYOR.

1159  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: May 07, 2023, 01:15:44 AM
If it was a topic of moving abroad due to jobs, I don't think I need to since my job involves software development. I can pretty much stay in the country and possibly look for hiring companies abroad for higher salaries (though I reckon there'd still be local ones that would have high salaries depending on skill level) and as you've said, working at home gives plenty of advantages with probably the only disadvantage itself is you not leaving it.

Now this would change if I were to swap over to my hobby which I want to pursue professionally sometime in the future, which is illustration making. I can do it at home like coding, but I want to expand my vision of it, and visiting countries that have a large history about it as well as mingling personally with fellow illustrators would be 100% preferrable to online conversations imo. I kinda set it up as my current job is my stepping stone so I can fund my hobby while going professional.
1160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investor lose billionaire opportunity -Damien Slash lost it over MEME coin SHIBA on: May 06, 2023, 02:51:10 PM
Kinda funny how the article calls it an investment when it was basically a gamble imo. I won't deny that SHIBA did indeed had moments where you could profit, but any sane trader at that prior point would've realized that it was a meme, it was nothing of value. Even investing in it just to ride the wave would've seemed dumb on any average mind. It does hurt to think that having a regular mindset hurt the fact that he could've been a billionaire though but hey, we'd probably blame something else if SHIBA ever actually fell below the investment point we entered in (or for any coin in that matter) so no use putting blames anywhere really.

To be perfectly fair, every investor would've felt the same at some point, though at varying levels of "could've been".
