I just extended hosting by a couple of months. Just gotta ride this out, and see what 2016 brings us.

This coin just needs a solid team.  Too much for one person to direct traffic.  I hope he gets back on here so we can proceed taking over the Tri State Area.

I agree with you as well mate. Hyper would surely attract the attention of most gamers out there and gaming companies if it could bring out fresh innovations in the crypto scene. I can't imagine when Hyper gets into mainstream games for major consoles such as the Xbox or even PlayStation. It would certainly have an effect in price and demand, not to mention that it would benefit cryptocurrencies as a whole.  Cheesy

Facebook could be the first one to take the step to accept bitcoin to get the bonus they always offer at their games.

If Facebook would adopt Bitcoin as the preferred form of payment, this would certainly gain the attention of lots of people from around the world and spread awareness of cryptocurrencies. I have always loved to buy Facebook Credits with Bitcoins. Then I could use them in Facebook games and it will be so much fun. Just my opinion.  Roll Eyes

Been mining this on my RPi2, love it! Wink

It is a hell of a lot of fun when you mine XMG with your Raspberry Pis. I have four of them and can't stop mining and staking XMG. Also, I use the computers at college for this task. It is so great to mine XMG while doing my homework.  Cheesy

Do you have a guide i could follow to get one of my Pi2's running as a wallet / miner please ?

Hey I'm glad you are interested into mining and supporting Magi with your Raspberry Pi. Here are some links to help you get started:

http://www.m-talk.org/viewtopic.php?t=88  - Mining Magi on Pi 2

https://raspi2miner.wordpress.com/2015/12/08/build-your-magicoin-xmg-wallet/  - Building Magi wallet for Pi.

Hope this helps. Have fun with Coin Magi!  Cheesy
11584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin arcade machine? on: December 19, 2015, 07:12:46 PM
There is not enought interest into arcades machines nowadays, that a fact.If some company focus at make online games allowing bitcoin deposits ,withdraws and well good games sure it would become a sucess all loves to play games.

Well, they could remake the arcade classics with better graphics, etc. and perhaps that would attract most gamers. Still, it would be great to use Bitcoin for in game purchases such as buying powers/items in Angry Birds, or even in Candy Crush with your BTC. That would be a hell of a lot of fun.  Cheesy
11585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | NEW wallet, 50% POS Active on: December 19, 2015, 07:00:24 PM

the new x5 shareweight boost make sure people who did join late or didnt reach ROI until yet catch up fast [/b][/size]

Can you please explain this a little bit better? I'm a long way from ROI and I don't feel like I'm getting 5x more than what I did before.

first of all please understand DMD CLoudmining isnt a regular investment product
its a supportive act to support DMD Diamond with constant buypressure
and as thank u for the people who support this there is a ruleset to split the earned DMD
that try to make sure each supporter reach ROI (a amount of DMD that represent the $ value of the BTC he donated to this project)
and there is on top a longterm rewarding aspect that make u earning DMD payouts even after u reached ROI

and all this set up in a non profit way by the people who run this service

noone said there is now 5x more payout

but ur shares weight 5x more same as the shares of anyone who didnt reach ROI

that means the more people reach ROI the faster the people who didnt will reach ROI too

a litte example to make this clear

user A reached ROI 10 shares
user B not reached ROI 10 shares
user C not reached ROI 10 shares

old system when we got 90 DMD to split
each of them got 30 DMD

old system total shares 10x1 + 10x1 + 10x1 = 30
90/30(total shares)= 3
user A gets 10(own sharepower)x3=30
user B gets 10(own sharepower)x3=30
user C gets 10(own sharepower)x3=30

new system 1/3 of user ROI when we got 90 DMD to split

user A reached ROI 10 shares
user B not reached ROI 10 shares
user C not reached ROI 10 shares

new system total shares 10x1 + 10x5 + 10x5 = 110
90/110(total shares)= 0.81
user A gets 10(own sharepower)x0.81=8.1
user B gets 50(own sharepower)x0.81=40,9
user C gets 50(own sharepower)x0.81=40,9

so in fact B and C earned now 41 instead of 30

now lets estimate user B also reach ROI
new system 2/3 of user ROI when we got 90 DMD to split

user A reached ROI 10 shares
user B reached ROI 10 shares
user C not reached ROI 10 shares

new system total shares 10x1 + 10x1 + 10x5 = 70
90/70(total shares)= 1.28
user A gets 10(own sharepower)x1.28=12.8
user B gets 10(own sharepower)x1.28=12.8
user C gets 50(own sharepower)x1.28=64.28

so in this case user B earned now 64 instead of 30 DMD

short spoken if more user reached ROI the new joining people and the people who reinvested get more and more boosted
but interesting is also the more user reach ROI the more will be the share of the ROI users of total to split DMD (because total amount of effective shares become less if more people reach ROI and dont get their shareweigh boosted)

there is no way to abuse this system if u reached ROI u in longterm earning modus
if u dont reached ROI u are in boost earning modus
if u dont feel ready for longterm earning modus and u wana be in boost state again
just reinvest a bit so u push ur account into not reached ROI state

how much the boost will be deepend on the ammount of people who did reach ROI already

who reached ROI and who not is recalculated each day again
that means if DMD price raise and more People are in reached ROI state the non ROI shareowner gets boosted more

if DMD price falls some user might reach below ROI area again and get again the 5x shareweight boost

the goal is to help each other reach ROI and after ROI still keep a longterm income source

please understand DMD CLoudmining isnt a regular investment product
its a supportive act to support DMD Diamond with constant buypressure
and as thank u for the people who support this there is a ruleset to split the earned DMD
that try to make sure each supporter reach ROI (a amount of DMD that represent the $ value of the BTC he donated to this project)
and there is on top a longterm rewarding aspect that make u earning DMD payouts even after u reached ROI

and all this set up in a non profit way by the people who run this service

Thanks for this very long but detailed explanation. I wasn't quite sure how the cloudmining from DMD worked, especially the x5 shareweight boost. I am thinking of making an investment into DMD shares. Even if I don't get ROI fast, it would still be a worthy investment (at least for me).  Smiley

I feel too sorry for myself for selling over 30 million MOON that I had been holding. I should have kept some for the future just in case. Anyways, I could buy some more again since the price is dirt cheap.  Smiley

30 million MOON seems like a small amount to be sorry or worried about.  Wink

It is worth something like 2.1 LTC at the current market rate, which is less than $7.50 USD.  So you could easily rectify that and make yourself happier, without the fear of going broke.  Smiley

You are right. After all, it wasn't that much invested into Mooncoin. I will go ahead and buy some more (probably around 200 million) as they are extremely cheap right now. I will hold them for the future.  Cheesy

I want to see MOON on Bittrex Smiley
That will kick ass!!!

This would definitely increase demand on Mooncoin. Another exchange would be an excellent idea. I feel too sorry for myself for selling over 30 million MOON that I had been holding. Now that is a good way to earn some free Magi for newbies and average XMG users alike. I've added them to my bookmarks. If there could be an XMG faucet like Moonbit.co.in where you decide when to claim from faucet (and your earnings accumulate over time) then it would be awesome.  Grin

That would be nice. Do you use that website? (Moonbit.co.in)
If they add Magi there i will make a donation there.

I use that site everyday and let my earnings accumulate over time. Since you can claim every 5 minutes, you can choose to claim current amount or just leave it there and claim earnings as you please, they will accumulate over time. I make around 8000 satoshi weekly from this faucet. It is pretty cool. If they would add a Magi faucet like the Bitcoin one mentioned previously, it will be great.  Cheesy
If you use that website maybe you could send in a request there Abiky?

I will try contacting them today for a request for Magi to be added. As soon as they reply my message, I would let you know any updates. It will be really great if they would add XMG to their faucet.  Grin

UpgradeAdvice has released the latest wallets here:
https://github.com/MonetaryUnit/MUE-Src/releases/tag/v1.0.10.7
Includes Win 32 & 64 bit, MAC, RaspberryPi and source code

edit: I've updated the wallet links in the ANN and on the homepage

MonetaryUnit is really kicking with new development and innovations. And finally a new version I can download for my Raspberry Pi. This is just great. I will continue to support MUE as well in the next days, and I am thinking of making something useful for it like a MUE cloud mining service. I'm not sure, but if I start with this project it would probably help spread the awareness of MUE and increase its price and demand.  Roll Eyes
Thanks for the support.

A MUE cloud mining service has long been on the to do list, but a lack of resources has meant it is yet to be looked at.
I agree with you with regards to all the positives something like that would have for this project.
If this is something you are considering setting up , we would be happy to market it through all our MUE comms channels and would be happy to contribute MUE towards it, and possibly some BTC post launch.

I am making the preparatives to launch such a service to increase awareness and demand of MonetaryUnit. To begin, I will start making the site but first I am going to ask...what would be the ideal domain name for such service. I was thinking of MUEcloud, or MUEmining, among others. After the site is all set up, I will proceed to make a crowdfunding section to collect funds to buy mining equipment and thus in return donators would get discounts and 3 months of free cloudmining when applicable.  Cheesy

@bizzyb You can contact me via PM, so you could let me know anything else about this.  Smiley
I think muemining sounds good, or muemine, muecloud, muecloudmining.  Anything like that will do the job I would think?

Have you ever tried anything like this before?
Would you colocate the mining equipment or self host?
I was going to use these guys for colocation
http://www.hydro66.com/

Anyway, I do think there is potential wih this Smiley

I haven't tried anything like this before but I have an old friend which introduced me into cryptocurrencies and mining, and he is willing to help me with this operation. The mining equipment would be self hosted and for starting, it will be consisted of several Raspberry Pi 2 mining MUE with their quad core CPUs and then we will set up custom mining rigs with several GPUs.  Smiley

I think MUEMiner would be the perfect name for this service. Right now, I will start to make up the site and then the rest would come later.  Grin
Cool, if you have technical help that will definitely make a big difference.

I would strongly suggest you look to start based on GPU hardware. A pi may hit 100kh+ and imho is unlikely to attract any customers compared to just a single GPU hitting 8mh+.

That is true. I think it is better to begin with GPU mining rigs. I'm looking to start with an affordable motherboard with 2 to 3 GPUs to start with (probably some AMD Radeons) and then go to better and expensive GPUs/motherboards. After the site is ready, I will set up a crowdfunding for the necessary equipment. I will try to be as transparent as possible when it comes to mining payouts and equipment.  Grin
11592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: December 18, 2015, 08:48:44 PM
I think the best way to grow your Bitcoin at this time would to be let it sit and gain value.  It keeps gradually rising in price so will it fall a bit. I am hoping to see when it is high and buy it back when it is low.

Then goodluck with your sleeping profit. Didn't you know that you can make profit while waiting for the price to be skyrocket. Don't have to wait much that long.

How high do you thing 1 years is not that long to wait if you just want 1000 dollars.
For some people don't have patients so that is why they do other methods t o get more bitcoins.

Ok. Let's have the same 1 bitcoin today for example. You wait for 1 year then I will not wait. Let's meetup after 1 year then let's see who will have a big profit. And exactly 1 year that we will meet, price rose up to $1000.

Make sense.

Well, when the next halving comes the price would rise all the way to $1000 (if it ever happens) and then you will not necessarily be growing your Bitcoins, but the value in USD of your BTC stash will grow exponentially and you will make big profits. That is why I am holding most of my BTC and controlling my spending because of this.  Smiley

You point if "if ever it happens". So why focus on just holding and holding. In my case I don't want to let my coins just sleeps in my wallet if there is a way that I can use them and rotate to acquire more coins than just to wait to increase it value. Much better if I acquire more coins to increase their quantity so that if ever "that" will happen, Im much happier because the quantity increase that will increase the value too.

I'm just saying if it "ever happens" due to the fact that cryptocurrency itself is unpredictable (like most alt coins prices) It could go either up or down, nobody knows but I'm pretty sure that BTC price would rise more than what it is right now when the next halving comes.  Roll Eyes

If we take a look at the value of Magi it looks like Magi went little down.
In Satoshi yes.
But in $ and € Magi is very stable and has even a little raise.
Thats very nice! Cheesy

Yes that is great. We should expect to see higher prices if there is more demand and market movement, but it is also good to see a stable price as you wont need to worry to much if the value in fiat of XMG goes down and you would lose your investments. Just sharing my thoughts.  Roll Eyes

i think the fastest way to make more money if you have some money is to gamble your bitcoins though there is a huge possibility that you will end up without having anything also you can try participating in signature campaigns as they usually pay a lot for decent amounts of work

Exactly. And the higher rank you have, the better the earnings in signature campaign. The best part of signature campaign is not especially the earnings, but you get to increase your knowledge of BTC and other crypto currencies as well.  Grin

Buying some cloud mining is a good way to expand your bitcoins. But beware there are also many scam cloud mining party's

For me the only one I would consider is Hashnest and a month ago, also Cryptsy Cloud mining.

Cloud mining could be a great way to grow your Bitcoins, but it can be very hard to actually get a ROI because you have to take into consideration electricity and maintenance fees. Hashnest and Genesis Mining is by far the best and probably legit cloud mining services out there. Other than that, the rest are just scams or ponzis trying to steal your hard earned BTC. Just my opinion.  Grin
