for your gridseed its usb correct i run 2 gridseed 5 chip miners on my raspberri pi look up minera or get it from getminera.com and download that and install it to the sd card its pretty self explanatory good refrence material is here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=596620.0 directly from the devloper im running 0.6.1 on my pi b+ but i think it works on pi2 also Thanks a lot for your help! I'm going to take a look at this as soon as I get home. Most of these usually run through internet and don't need a monitor to access them, so what you can do is: 1.Load image to micro sd 2. Connect gridseed to pi via usb or powered usb hub 3. Connect pi 2 to router via ethernet 4. go to your router IP and find the ip for the pi2 (under connected devices usually) 5. Type the IP for the pi 2 into your browser 6.Login in to pi via web interface (will look a website) 7. configure miners (your gridseed will be listed) and pools. Great! Thanks for sharing this info! By the way, is there a way to turn miner on/off automatically at a set time? I'm planning on leaving my RPI turned on 24/7 but I'm afraid that the miner would not resist being powered on all that time. I just want to make it turn off at a certain time and then turn it on when I get back home (as I'm in college) Hmmm, there are some settings you could do since it is running linux through commands I am sure but the simplest would probably be a remote connection to your pc, so when you're at college on your phone or laptop you can remote your pc, go to the ip of the pi and control it from there and include turning it off and on. Now make sure you don't have any big wallet amounts on your home pc when you do this as it may make it more vulnerable. Will do this...Thanks for your advice. I appreciate all your help

Yes! I've earned 12000 satoshis from a Bitcoin faucet today. Sweet! And it only took me 2 hours...lol Really man? I made more than 500x in 20mins. For real? From a Bitcoin faucet? Mining? I'm just curious... You still believe in faucet? I made it from a slight advantage because of deposit bonus, read my post before you , will ya? I just use faucets for fun and for killing time. And yes I read your post....didn't notice that it was there before mine. Thanks for your reply And I have 10k sat faucet at dadice at level 40. Maybe try that as well. TBH you still seem to be a newbie in bitcoin world. When it comes to mining, I'm a newbie. When it comes to trading, I have a bit of experience. I started with BTC in 2014. Thanks for the info.

I don't think Bitcoin will ever replace the dollar or euro. One of the facts is that it's price is very volatile. But I do think that it will become mainstream one day.

I am using the Ethercoin wallet - Qt for windows
Still unable to unstake some coins
Under menu: Options/Main I have set Reserve to 99999999 which should unstake all my coins but this had not had the desired effect.
Any other advice?
Try looking for ethercoin.conf in your appdata directory. In there, set this: staking=0 then save it. Hope this helps.

Open command prompt, then cd (or change directory) to your wallet's app location (.exe). Example: If ethercoin-qt.exe is on Desktop, you would write cd C:\Users\Your Username Here\Desktop After that, write this command in your cmd or command prompt: ethercoin-qt -reservebalance=9999999 Try it and see if it works

Paycoin is dead a few months ago. Now it is slowly creeping downwards. I feel we could see 1k before the end of the year.
Too bad that Gaw's reputation had damaged the coin's image. The current developers should add new features to the coin. Maybe that will attract other's attention. If Paycoin resurrects, I'll surely go back to the $20 mark (maybe?) not a chance, it's dead. why on earth do you think it could be revived? Because there's a new development team working on it called Team XPY (which is not Gaw anymore). Maybe they can come up with something new. I don't know. I loved this coin when it was in it's early days. Now, it's price is going lower, and lower. Perhaps I should exchange my XPY back to BTC

Great guide! I was looking all over for this. I'd better starting mining XMG on VPS rather than my own PC. (it seems to get very hot)

I've recently ordered a Raspberry Pi 2 from ebay (cost me $42) with the interest of mining alt coins with it. I already own a miner, which is a Gridseed GC3355 but I don't know how to set it up with my newly purchased RPi. My questions are the following: How do I install the drivers for the miner in the RPi? How to properly configure cgminer on a RPi? Please help. I'm still a noob when it comes to configuring miners. Thank You.

Isn't there any decentralized BTC exchange around? One that doesn't require ID verification among other things (like Cryptsy) in which I could trade BTC anonymously? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Maybe Paycoin will rise again in the near future? I haven't lost my hope yet (and also didn't invest what I couldn't afford to lose), so I'm holding my 80 XPY just in case
