1161  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you use cryptocurrencies in your daily life? Are they useful? on: January 27, 2020, 11:16:39 PM
Of course I used cryptocurrency in my daily life it's been 4years since I start to use it. And I should say that cryptocurrency is useful especially that our generation in more high-tech and some is using digital technology to make  our daily life easy. This time cryptocurrency is useful because some are adopting the crypto to their platforms to make easy to their user/customers.
So cool Shocked! But how can you everyday use it? I'm just asking because based on you statement it seems that your place has so many opportunities for using crypto. While in my case, I only use bitcoin weekly for buying prepaid load to my smartphone but if I really had given a chance to see a physical store where I can find everything I wanted then I think I'll miss fiat for a long time hahaha Grin.
1162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 27, 2020, 06:14:08 AM
Khabib is also a huge superstar in the Middle East and Russia and it will be the biggest fight in history if they rematched and asking for 100 million is not a big deal.
Yeah! Asking for a 100 million is not that huge compare to Dana's possible profit in this upcoming rematch if will be granted Grin. And besides, Khabib is the current reigning champ so we can say that he is on the right position of doing so. I just hope that he will beat El Cucuy on his upcoming match to retain his pride hahaha because if not then Tony will definitely outshine him and talks about Tony vs McGregor might be included on Dana's plan Cheesy.
1163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 27, 2020, 02:28:42 AM
just woke up and this will comes out to my attention?damn why need so fast and alongside with her Daughter .
I already woke up few hours ago and until now I can't get over to Kobe's sudden death along with his daughter Sad. Their both young and also good people that's why it's really heartbreaking for me to know that they died unexpectedly. Why oh why?

Honestly, I don't like Kobe during his prime days but after he retired I started to admire him because I saw his good character. That's why I'm not shocked why most of Filipino basketball fans serve him as inspiration on their journey. Men, women, kids, professional basketball players or even those who are just playing for fun (like me) love Kobe. We will miss you Kobe, rest in peace Sad.
1164  Economy / Speculation / Re: Corona Virus will Impact the price of Bitcoin ? on: January 26, 2020, 12:16:01 PM
Because this virus has not been contained, everyone will be at home, and they won't be thinking about bitcoin at all.
Though for me economics and health got no strong relation to each other, in all fairness I can still see your point in there Grin. It's understandable if the minds of Chinese are now out of concentration dues to the epidemic scene. But you know what, there's also tendency for the opposite to happen! Their meantime "quarantine" set up might also serve an opportunity for them to just face the computer screen all day long and focus on the green and red candles Cheesy.

By the way, in the serious side, I really hope this virus will now be contained to stop spreading across countries because it's sad to see that we're starting this Year of the Rat starts with a plague Sad.
1165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: January 26, 2020, 10:43:06 AM
In contrast, Conor is demanding boxing superstars. He's the one who's saying a lot about improving his boxing skills and record.
Actually, his demand is not the most surprising thing here, promoters letting him to make his demands granted is Grin. I mean, it was already a simple logic taht MMA and Boxing is two different worlds and yet they still able to pull it off (like the McGregor vs Mayweather fight). Now I more realized how money make all things possible. Imagine, they able to merge MMA and boxing lol Roll Eyes. It's weird to be honest.
Bob Arum does not sound like a sports enthusiast with his crazy proposals.
Of course! Because he was a businessman. It doesn't matter if the match is not justifiable or doesn't make any sense at all, as long as the crowd wants it and it gives him money in return then everything will be set up Grin.
1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 25, 2020, 03:31:13 PM
Dillinger  already has past his price IMO,
How do you say so? Because of his injury? Well, you might be right on that but for now let's see him play more first Smiley. Who knows? Maybe his past injury will inspire him to push harder.
if there's something that is needed to step up and carry his team to a win, it should be Stanley Pringle as the Gins traded 3 players
He is doing it already in my opinion. Look on his stats and contribution on Ginebra, it's very significant. Ginebra can reallyrely on him especially with clutch plays. Actually, I think he is now more deserving to replace Tenorio in First 5 pickings Grin.
1167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 25, 2020, 10:40:50 AM

I don't want to admit that you're opinion is so accurate but in reality it's so true. Ginebra can't become champions in All Filipino Cup, and at the aame time they always bring home the bacon when Brownlee was there. What does it mean Grin? I'm a Ginebra fan but I sometimes I can't help but to think that Ginebra only depends on JB on getting a trophy. Hahaha, maybe just a coincidence tho.

Tim Cone should make it his goal to at least win 1 All-Filipino cup championship. I think it will not be that hard considering the talents he have in his lineup right now.
Tim Cone and his team must, because it's a little bit embarassing for them that some people out there (especially the haters) think they are just an "import-dependent" team Grin.

I really hope Dillinger will be a great help for them because he is the newest reinforcement. I'm sure everybody is also counting on him so he should perform really well Cheesy.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 24, 2020, 11:55:15 AM
I've got a feeling that Ginebra won't make it to the semis this Philippine Cup Cool and also my gut tells me that the Finals would be between the Northport and SMB considering that Cstand will still be with the Batang Pier as there are rumors that he will be traded to either Magnolia or Ginebra.
I don't want to admit that you're opinion is so accurate but in reality it's so true. Anyway, you said there are rumors that CStand might be trade to Ginebra. Nice! If this will do come true then I may say that they're now match with SMB Grin.
1169  Other / Meta / Re: How to earn merit in 6 EASY steps! (2019-2020 Edition) on: January 24, 2020, 08:07:41 AM
Here's what I observed, if you only make threads with general topics or most appropriate to say "not so extraordinary" topics like to OP's example, chances of getting is merits is still less because I'm pretty sure that it was disscussed couple of times ago already. Imagine how big our forum so it's impossible that no one discussed "How to avoid gambling addiction" (just another example) before, right? Grin.

If you really want to get tons of merit then show some numbers as much as possible: like infographs, stats, codes etc. etc. because such threads attracts merit givers the most Wink.
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 24, 2020, 07:13:46 AM
No more team Leberon or Team Giannis?
They are going back to the old thing?

NBA cannot think of something new by now? Maybe we should start suggesting some styles for the All-Star next time.  Cheesy
Actually it's fine with me to go back with the East-West thing so that at least on the name of their team everyone got fair spotlight Grin. I mean, for me it sounds biased if a certain team is named after an All Star Player because you can't remove the tendency that some people might only think that Lebron is the strongest there and the others (especially those who are not an avid basketball fan) are just supporting blah blah. I hope you get my point guys Grin.

What a roster for the West. Those are monsters that needs to be separated.
Hahaha, indeed. They are solid as rock dude Grin. Actually, now I'm wondering how Giannis and the rest will win against them. But who knows, maybe Luka's magic will be effective and the Freak will be in rage mode when their game starts.
1171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you holding Bitcoin? on: January 24, 2020, 01:50:10 AM
Because from the beginning I was very sure that bitcoin was the future. So from that I was holding bitcoin since 2015. It's not been
felt now 5 years have passed, and I get incredible profits from bitcoin. I only sold some of the bitcoin that I had to buy sudden necessities,
the rest still held up now. Because I believe bitcoin will continue to rise, in fact I believe this year bitcoin will rise above the ATH price that
is occurring in 2017.
Wow, it feels good to see an early adopter around Smiley. You make me feel jealous lol.

Regarding about your belief, I agree. I can also feel that 2020 is a fruitful year for all crypto investors Smiley. As you may notice, the price chart is not starting to grow though not as fast as we expect but at least there's improvement. Also, there's the long awaited bitcoin halving so we can really anticipate a bullish run this year.
1172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2020 betting on: January 23, 2020, 11:11:18 PM
Comedy movies played by funny actors is worthy for our praises, and I hope there will be chances for them to enter the sets of winners for this Oscar awards. I can't give any further preference to which of them may go into the judges choices, but what I am wishing for that the deserving character must be given this kind opportunity for an award.
Wait, what? Mate I think you're a little bit confused (or it'e just me who got wrong interpretation). This year's Joker, with its lead actor Joaquin Phoenix, is not a comedy movie. It's genre is thriller with a twist of psycho Cheesy.

Anyway, I also tink Joaquin deserve an Oscar's because he portrayed Joker very well which is very obvious on its ticket sales. But I'm just wondering what if the pulse of the mass will not be heard? A lot of people will get mad for sure Grin.
1173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Air, Water, Bitcoin on: January 23, 2020, 01:06:04 PM
I was reading others thought about this looking for the connection between air, water with Bitcoin. Air and water are elements that is needed for us to survive. We can't live without them but bitcoin, we can still live.
Let's not take it literally mate Grin. I think what OP is trying to say is that we should now start give more attention to bitcoin and include it on our daily lives Smiley (just my own interpretation tho Grin). Anyway, aiming for mass adoption and put btc into mainstream is so eady to say but almost impossible to do. That's so sad but true, however, I'm still hoping that it would do come true Smiley.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much Money You Need To Win To Stop gambling, Is This Possible. on: January 23, 2020, 11:21:15 AM
-snip-
There are times when people stop gambling when they have won enough money and so on they just want to enjoy it. But the most common is that they will return to gambling and even they look very addicted and continue playing until they spend the amount of money they won before.

Gambling addiction is the most difficult thing to get rid of, I feel the same and maybe it's the experience of gamblers in general.

I guess they get carried away by the fun. It's quite risky to get too attached to things that benefit you very little.
In my opinion, gambling addiction is not only about fun anymore because there's a deeper reason why someone is drowning from it. For me the real reason why it's very hard to get away from it is the greed of money (very obvious of course). When this thing kicks in, our mind is now misdirected thus resulting to bad decisions which later become losses, debts and broken relationships.

Regarding about the title, I don't also even know what price is the right mark for us to stop gambling forever (actually I guess there's none Grin). Just look at the hustlers and poker stars you know, they don't stop gambling despite of being millionaires then what more for small time gamblers like us.
1175  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela Is Now More Than 50% Dollarized, Study Finds on: January 23, 2020, 10:09:28 AM
A year ago, some of us were hoping that Venezuelans would have adopted bitcoin as their currency (or an alt). But the rolling electricity blackouts not only mean you can't use credit cards, but you can't use cryptocurrency. So they've gone with old fashioned US dollars in cash.
*Sigh This is the biggest opening for crypto to get massively adopted and yet it still failed. How unfortunate for us and the crypto community as a whole to get beaten by its rival — paper money. Well I guess that's the perks of fiat, it can be used without any further requirements unlike btc which requires constant supply of electricity and internet connection Sad. This only manifests that our world is not yet ready to fully acquired this technology. It seems that we're still so far to the futuristic era Grin.
This whole real life case study shows that cryptocurrency won't get adopted in poor countries (because of lack of electricty). It will get adopted in rich countries - rich regulated countries.
Oops, it still depends to a particular country of course. Even how rich a country is, it will be pointless if they look at crypto as a threat but I'm hoping this kind of mindset will be totally erased on the mind of every nation.
1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I feared new altcoins might be left out on: January 22, 2020, 11:31:38 PM
I feared new altcoins will be left out so i start selling some coins for bitcoin because it can be a big blow if altcoin fails to surge like in 2017 after bitcoin reach a new ATH, what do you think? And what would you have done in my position
What are these coins you are pertaining about? As fas as I remember moat of the alts rise up too during bitcoin's bull run, hmm Huh.

Anyway, If I'm in your position I will definitely sold out all the tokens from different "promising ICOs" you've got Roll Eyes. I know you will get losses due to this move but at least you already cut your mistake earlier rather than seeing it getting even worse. If I were you, I will only invest to bitcoin but if there's really a strong need in your heart to invest in alts then why not. I advice you to only pick with stronger foundations like bch, ltc or doge. Besides those coins are more reputable. Good luck Smiley.
1177  Economy / Economics / Re: Thoughts on the World War 3 and its possible impacts on future? on: January 22, 2020, 06:43:31 PM
What current tension happening between Iran and United State just drama playing both countries because each their president looking for attention from their people, Trump tries to get empathy from their people because parliament have schedule to make Trump not as president United State and Iran faced the same moment with United State president.
I just give them the benefit of the doubt since we cannot confirm that the reason for all of the drama is just for their political agendas. But honestly mate, you are making sense. Why there's something like this happening during the issue of Trump's possible impeachment? Is he trying to shift the eyes of everyone (including media) away from him? Hmm, I smell something fishy Grin. Anyway, whatever the real reason behind this it doesn't important anymore. The better thing to do is to fixed this before a great war starts because the victims are not them but their innocent countrymen.
1178  Economy / Economics / Re: Thoughts on the World War 3 and its possible impacts on future? on: January 22, 2020, 04:28:23 PM
Honestly, I doubt we will ever see a WW3. As aforementioned, the big powers know that if they were to start then most life on earth (especially humans) would be wiped out. I mean, USA used the first Atomic bomb back in 1945. That's almost 80 fucking years ago. One can only imagine what kind of power lies in the super weapons that have evolved since. Nobody wants to play a game that results in both teams loosing...bigly...
I really hope so. But with the current tension happening between USA and Iran, it is not impossible to happen unless other country will remain neutral at the very end. Let's hope their presidents will remain cool headed (Am I wishing too much?) because I can see that their artillery is not a joke for mankind. They can really make a lot of damage right to their own country so I hope diplomatic talks could work Cheesy.
1179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: January 22, 2020, 02:51:42 PM
The reason we have rounds is to score the fights according to the rounds won and anyone who saw the fight know who won the rounds and if someone lands a good punch in two rounds in a 12 round fight and because Wilder landed the heaviest punch does not mean that it was a close fight, in all of the fights Wilder is involved he just want to land a punch to win the fight as he looses most of the rounds in the scorecard and in the fight against Fury he landed the punch in the late rounds but that was not enough to win the fight and the decision should have gone to Fury for winning most of the rounds.
I know that score per round is very important on determining the winner if and only both fighters never get down to canvass. But if someone get even a single knockdown, the scoring will be greatly affected and everything will shift in favor of the opposing fighter. And what I think of it is fair, because iny opinion the impact and damage you've done is still the main basis of this game after all Grin. Once your back touch the ground at the 12th round, all of your consistency on the last 11 rounds will suddenly washed out. But well it still depends on how you struggle on getting up (that's why I think they end up to draw. Fury doesn't get hurt too much on that knockdown).
