1161  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 7 Rules for Writing a Good Post Title on: March 28, 2023, 05:04:55 PM
Snip
It actually does, topic titles are as important as the body of the posts but many people take that for granted and that's why some posts don't get the attention they deserve.
It's not aguable sir, hence all you said are confirmed to be true. But in some cases when a newbies makes such topic it would result in low turned out just as you said of a contributor to the forum.
I myself have also found some post created by contributors which I noticed the body of the subject matter doesn't really convincing despite the topic attracted many users.
In such post you could only found out that there are many viewers or visitors but people doesn't comment since the body of the messages is not comprehendible.

I dont have any laid down rules for writing posts title as I do not consider it a big task. Infact I do not write my post title until I am able to finish the body of the post, then I can write the post title.  I write post title based on what the body of my post said and not based on what I preconceived in my memory. Sometimes you can have one particular unique topic in your head but during expression you can digress from your original intentions. It isn't that advisable to make hard rules for creating titles of a post.

Fabrizio Romano in his page said that Chelsea seems to be in search of another striker after the deal of Christopher Nkunku is concluded and the possible target of Chelsea is Victor Osimhen. It was when I heard Victor that I began to question if Chelsea actually knows what they want? I mean they have had too many signings without selling of players and with such signings results are not coming yet. Do they still need to be signing the more?
Will Victor even agree to join a club that is not playing the champions league? This is because I haven't seen the possibility of Chelsea being in the Champions League.
1163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 28, 2023, 02:26:18 PM

It's no wonder that Chelsea have to gamble with a coach like Potter. Like it or not, this is the risk they take as a result of being careless in choosing a coach who admits that a club as big as Chelsea is not easy to control. With poor Premier League results, of course, the guarantee is sacked. Gradually it will happen, even more carelessly buying expensive players with quite poor skills and quality. Todd Boehly wasted too much money and the results weren't worth what he spent.
But in Brighton, Potter has built a strong team and, by the way, without such great financial opportunities as he has in Chelsea. He need to be able to adapt to everything, and if Potter is still in the post of head coach, then Boehly trusts him. Chelsea have a lot of difficult matches left in the Premier League, so they definitely shouldn’t count on something in the Premier League this season. In the Champions League is also not an easy opponent, the chances are not great there.
Whether Chelsea did sack Thomas and employe Graham Potter or not I still do not believe that Chelsea would be able to win the Champions League or be the champions of the English Premier League under their former coach, who is Thomas.

Before Thomas was sacked. Chelsea was already on the decline line. And using Graham Potter as the replacement of Thomas was not a mistake because Graham was being so excellent with his boys in the Brighton team.
I still believe that Potter is a good coach and he will prove it in the next season with Chelsea.
1164  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Standard chartered bank open for cash withdrawal on weekends on: March 28, 2023, 02:08:43 PM
I got some cash yesterday just to test the authenticity of the bank email and I was paid over the counter ₦‎20,000 to a great extent cash availability is becoming rampant and normally is gradually returning to purchasing environment in the economy.

-these cashless policies have proven two things, which are!
1: The level of corruption in the micro economy and pos vs retailers scam with unnecessary changes.
2: secondly this policy has also shown the weaknesses of our traditional banking system, except for the help of online wallets.

E also show say Nigeria never for mature wella to go all cashless. The petty traders who be some old women na dem suffer pass. Dem no see patronage again based on say dem no dey accept transfers.
After business the old women go cry go house and food fit no dey house again join. All these things dey happen Emefiele no wam gree release cash.
Las Las we go back to old naira. The election malpractice stop? Not at all. Plenty people don lose hope for the banking system of Nigeria.
1165  Other / Meta / Re: One new topic per month on: March 26, 2023, 01:38:49 PM
The proposal is: to prohibit (may be programmatically) creating more than one topic in one section in one month.
Reason: some sections are occupied by the same authors. Authors abuse the ability to create new topics.
Examples:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=128.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=91.0

As an alternative: make it possible to create a new topic after receiving 10 new merits
This is a discussion forum and what happens here is discussion. You shouldn't restrict anyone on how often he should discuss. If you don't like the topics they are creating ignore them and scroll pass. If you feel that particular user is posting rubbish, include the user in your ignore list.
If you feel their posts are generally shit and  shammy, report to the moderators and it is as simple as that.
Theymos will not buy the idea of chocking here with unnecessary rules that will limit participation.
1166  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism Vs Scam on: March 26, 2023, 01:29:38 PM
So my question is now is the crime of plagiarism more offensive than scamming? Huh
Both are important to get the forum's attention. not only in this forum but more institutions and other communities also prohibit plagiarism. then the forum will make special rules for accounts that commit plagiarism.
whereas scammers and forums are not moderated. but they are a concern for other users. tags in the account will be a consideration for anyone not to deal with scammers. although the account is still active on the forum, it still has a warning attached to its account, limiting the work it can do.
I don't think that there is any where in the world where the crime of plagiarism would be considered to have more weight than the crime of scamming.
It is only in this forum that plagiarism has a heavier punishment that scam. And I understand that the reason it is like that is because there actually a way to detect whoever that plagerised and then punish him/her.
But there is no easy way to determine that someone is a scammer. So, deciding to moderate scam may end up victimising the innocent.
1167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 25, 2023, 06:11:39 PM
Yes. It's the only game that's hard to predict. Bayern vs Man City have a balanced ability this season. Bayern's game is also very fast. But Bayern has stopped a big club full of superstars, namely PSG. This has become the standard for their abilities when dealing with Man City.
This season Manchester City also has players who are good enough to be used in very important matches such as in the Champions League. The difficulty of making predictions on the Bayern Munich vs Manchester City match seems to have aroused a lot of curiosity about who will win the match. I'm really looking forward to this match as well as the Real Madrid game and also the Napoli game in this season's Champions League in the Quarter-Finals.
I had already predicted that Bayern Munich will qualify but I regret my prediction. Honestly, I didn't know that Bayern will change their coach at this very point in time.
It is like I am almost certain that Guardiola will revenge Tuchel on the champions league he lost 3 seasons ago or so. Bayern made a very big mistake by changing their coach at this very critical moment of the champions league. I know they will likely regret it because Tuchel will first get to know the boys and then understand the politics of the club before he can start to perform.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current Topic: African Players Discussion. on: March 25, 2023, 06:02:01 PM
For the AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS QUALIFICATION FIXTURES AND RESULTS 2023 who do you think will be the top scorer of the qualifications rows. I'm thinking Victor Osimhen and Nigeria is going to secure a spot in the finals of the AFCON competition very easily. They play GUINEA-BISSAU next on the 24/03/2023 and I don't see them losing that match. What do you guys think about this fixture and other fixtures as well?.
Victor Osimhen is the name that will always come first in the minds of almost everyone who wants to make this prediction but looking at the level which the Super Eagles are playing it will be very difficult for Osimhen to get as many goals as he would have wanted. I’m not confident of the Super eagles making it far in the competition, they could barely even win against Guinea.
I didn't watch the yesterday qualification but it was after the first half that it started trending that I understood and remembered of the match qualification between Nigeria and Guinea Bissau. I quickly checked the line up and I was able to see Ndidi and Iwobi in the central midfield and I also saw Dennis and Chukwueze in the side midfield and finally I saw Iheanachor and Osimhen at the attacking top. But what I didn't understand was how managed they didn't get a goal for 90mins, not even the hot Osimhen.
1169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 25, 2023, 05:39:11 PM
Regarding the match between Manchester United and Newcastle, it will certainly be a test for Erik Ten Hag in extending his positive trend this season with the Red Devils. What's more, the potential to win is quite big and on paper Manchester United is superior. However, it seems that Casemiro will not be able to join to strengthen the midfield, which indeed cannot be replaced. Need an ideal option in midfield because, without a red card sanction, Erik Ten Hag needs to change the rotation of the game.
Even though Man United still has Fred, McTominay, and Sabitzer to fill Casemiro's position but I think their game will be very different compared to when Casemiro played in the team. It is likely that Newcastle will dominate in the middle so practically Man United will rely more on their attacks through the flanks.
The habit of casimiro been able to get red card in Premier League almost consecutivel is a warning to Erik 10 that he needs to have a good replacement for casimiro in the midfield in case of such future occurrences.
If you watched Manchester United match against Fulham in the FA Cup, you will discover that Manchester United really suffered in the midfield and that was how Fulham finally got hold of Manchester United and would have won the match if not for Williams and Mitrovic careless red card
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 25, 2023, 05:31:54 PM
Tuchel will most probably get that job. First he was great with Dortmund, and then he was great with Chelsea and got the UCL with them even when they weren't that great. Now that if he comes to Bayern which everyone expects them to make a deal, then I guess he could be good enough to get them the title. I am not saying that will be this year considering he will be joining so late.
Bayenr has been officially announcing that tuchel be bayern's coach until 2025.

Finally, another big news came from bayern. It seems like that bayern will have a different play style for sure. I can't wait for the match against manchester city. Some bayern's players are also very interested to see how he will be coaching the club. I do believe many bayern fans have very big expectations for him like win UCL this season.

Tbh, I do not know the reason that Bayern Munich sacked their coach. I mean this coach didn't not perform so poor. What was the target given to the coach that he didn't meet up?
Bayern is at the helms of affairs in the German Bundesliga. Bayern also recently eliminated PSG in the Champions league even when there was Mane and Manuel Neuer, they will still doing well.
Could it be that there is an internal problem between the coach and the management?
1171  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The effect of drugs abuse on youths on: March 24, 2023, 11:45:45 AM
Today in the society you discover children under the age of eighteen years old being involved in all manners of social vices such as drug abuse, sexual harrasment, rape, gambling addiction, stealing and lackadaisical attitude to learn the right thing and develop interest of going to school, they easily got exposed to the bad things of life than the good because they they believe they environment they lived in is their final bus stop in life, but we have the individuals decision to choose how we want our lives to be regardless of our background.
Environment is the major factor that influences youth to involved in all this social vices.
A child that is grown in a ghetto where everybody smokes and drinks.
Where gambling is seen as a normal thing. Where all manner of hard drugs are taken. That very child will grow up and continue taking all those hard drugs believing that it is a real way of life.
Before he would understand that he is not in the right lane. It would be late for him and by then it might have turned into addiction. Government has a very important role to play by making sure the standard of living of her citizens is okay and also enforcing laws to avoid drug abuse.
1172  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there anything like Bitcoin savings? on: March 24, 2023, 11:21:25 AM
Nothing in particular is called or termed bitcoin savings but one can always achieve this same goal by developing a good savings habit, if we can do it while dealing with fiat then we should be able to do same with bitcoin, one has to device this means through his personal improvisation, which is more easier by getting a personal wallet like hardware wallet or any other  cold storage to be used for saving the bitcoin we will not use over a time and then have another wallet that we will be spending from whenever we want to make our spendings.
Funny enough what Op described above is even the real essence of Bitcoin.
Instead of creating account in exchange is like binance and keep bitcoins there. It is good that you have your own personal wallet and you keep sending bitcoin there with a method called dollar-cost averaging and within some years, tou will receive the reward of your investment into Bitcoin.

About from what Op described above, I would want to know what OP thought about bitcoin before now.
1173  Economy / Economics / Re: Replacement? on: March 24, 2023, 11:03:36 AM
I have been seeing the progress of cryptocurrency these past few years, and I've been thinking, will it definitely be a replacement for physical money and use crypto as a primary transactions in our everyday life?
Cryptocurrency and bitcoin is an alternative to the fiat money and it is not coming to replace it in anyway, however, I understand that the use of cryptocurrency will increase very much in online shopping and businesses.
But in the real world the use of fiat would never be replaced and also the essence of Bitcoin is not to replace the fiat, but rather the essence of Bitcoin is to give users alternative to either use bitcoin or fiat or chose to used both.
1174  Economy / Economics / Re: Money hardly come this days! Why? on: March 24, 2023, 10:57:02 AM

My children are at home chase from school, I could not pay fees again. What could be the cause of scarcity of cash?
Please be specific. What happened? Why were your children chase from school? There is a difference between not having money and general scarcity of paper money happening in my country. Someone could have money in the bank and be spending it electronically which is different from one who is expecting the scarce cash.
Why your children drop from school? Did you lose your job? Or does your means of earning money got closed?
Or you had no job before and leaving on people's benevolence and hence they stopped being benevolence, suffering started.
1175  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who is most reliable person? on: March 23, 2023, 08:48:39 PM
Do women actually share their pants? What's the possibility that it happens?
When something is private because of hygiene is different when it is private because of security and trust.
If you are married, you can share everything including wallet keys with your loved one so that your coins will not lost when you eventually die.
While some people will decide to be private and remain private even till death.
having a partner and being married would be better, sharing a private key in case we can't do anything and need the help of the most trusted person, namely our partner.
But it's very different when you don't have a partner and don't have someone you trust.
Apart from that, family also seems to be the most trusted people, but everyone has a different affinity with their family. Make sure you have someone you trust and will continue the wallet that we have, don't let it get lost and no one opens it. Quite a lot of assets in a crypto wallet can become an inheritance which certainly provides true financial freedom.
That is a true statement. It is a matter of trust. One would always trust a family member unless in a few cases where someone outside the family is trusted more.
But one disadvantage people face is that some of the family members maybe the one you trust may not be interested in bitcoin and cryptocurrency. So even when they have the keys, they still need the help of someone to be able to get the monies of the wallets.
That is why I recommend that you teach a trusted someone about bitcoin before sharing the keys.
1176  Other / Meta / Re: Can I merit a banned account? on: March 22, 2023, 04:05:08 PM
...
Merits are meant for deserving posts not minding if the account is banned or active. It is funny to note that it is impossible to know if an account is actually banned or active by mere looking at a users profile, So no penalty whatsoever comes with meriting a deserving post. Quality and uniqueness should be the aim of giving out merit so if a post is deserving irrespective of the account's status then it is all fine.
It is correct that merit is giving to the post and not minding the account that made the post. And it is also correct that you may not know a banned account by mare looking at it, unless you use some third party extensions and you will know that such an account is banned.

I remember when I was new in this forum that Ratimov had to help so many of us to rank up to the next level. But sometimes so many of the new people he help got banned and he was topping the list of users that merited banned account.(I cannot remember the thread)
But the consequences was he sometimes had to drop in the list of generous users in the forum. But that has not stopped him from helping people to rank up.

When it comes to bitcoin wallets is totally a kind of private pants for females and boxers for male.
Do women actually share their pants? What's the possibility that it happens?

1178  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which one would you rather work for on: March 22, 2023, 03:32:59 PM
If you are called upon to work for a decentralized exchange like Uniswap or Binance exchange which is a Centralised exchange, which offers will you grant yes? Assuming the payment or salary is the exact same amount every month which one will you prefer to work for and why?

I will like to work with CZ, he is a smart human being and I know I have many things to learn from him when it concerns smartness, business and risk taking.
Working in a decentralized exchanges is good for people who want to contribute and keep the decentralization active especially when the code is open source.
But I doubt the pay of a centralized exchange like Binance would be same as decentralized. I think centralized should pay higher.

But for we country dem no dey enforce those kind laws especially when e concern poor men.
Girl pikin dey too much vulnerable for we society. When you see guys wey dey plus up, na mostly girls dem dey use because we see them as weaker vessels.

Liverpool will also have to do their best to make something of it at the top this season. They're not doing as badly as Chelsea, but they can't possibly be satisfied. In the CL they are no longer participating. But maybe they are still able to put in a nice final sprint, so that they can at least secure the CL. Then they have a mediocre season, but not a bad season. They could be doing Arsenal a great favor if they are able to win against Manchester City. Liverpool is one of the few teams that should be able to put a result on that.
Liverpool s a top team still and big teams becomes really competitive when they have another big team to face but, Liverpool winning Arsenal or Manchester City in recent standings, its going to be next to impossible as these teams are way off giving any points at the time.
Arsenal have git just the league to take for themselves with this impressive run and form they've had and Manchester City have the Champions league though, they don't look good to compete and win but somehow, Pep still sees a chance in ghe Premier league and that's not something they would let out any points for.
Liverpool after the 7:0 win over Manchester United, gave us the impression that they are unto something but, they are just as bad as before.
I do not think that Liverpool will be able to explain what actually happened to them this season.  Liverpool really does not appear as weak as Chelsea in this season Englesh Premier League. The major problem of Liverpool is inconsistency, and that actually can be said to be ignited by the departure of Mane. Liverpool can sometimes become strong to beat Manchester City and also beat Manchester United as big clubs, but immediately after winning this big teams the preceding week, a really weak and small team will win Liverpool. That is the major challenge they have been facing this season.
