hello everyone

i've been reading posts here in this forum since a few years now. i never had a reason to register to this forum nor spam around with dumb questions, cross postings, help requests or begging for my first bitcoin. today i need to reply to a post for a support request..
i've a strong it background, i'm living in europe, i'm not a bitcoin millionaire and will never be one.

i'm not really a huge fan of first post. hopefully – if someone will ever read this – you will not get too bored from my first post.

regards
randomaso

Why can't you become a Bitcoin millionaire?
1182  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does FreeBitcoinz pay out? on: December 29, 2013, 02:44:13 PM
Hee,

Does anybody know if the faucet FreeBitcoinz pays out?
Link is Freebitcoinz.com

Because on top there is standing: "Total BTC Redeemed: 0 BTC".

Greets

Probably not, but there's only one way to find out... Cheesy I wouldn't waste my time with faucets to be honest.
1183  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When Will Bitcoin Reach $1000??? on: December 29, 2013, 02:04:45 PM
Will Bitcoins get to 1000 again?

BTC will never arive 1000$ because it`s only a big bubble. I think in 1 year it will be around 50$...it`s nothin real like gold!!  Shocked

It's not far off now. The price will be up and down next year with all the attention it will recieve.
1184  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Predict the Date: When will Amazon accept Bitcoin ? on: December 29, 2013, 01:59:00 PM
More likely that Amazon will come out with its own currency.

They can try, but I don't see why people would adopt it.

Reason #1

Because it's fricking Amazon.

So people will buy into amazon's currency so they can spend it on Amazon? Might as well just vouchers. And any company can create their own money, but it wont be cryptocurrency.
1185  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoins ruined my life on: December 29, 2013, 01:43:52 PM
OP don't be shy, buy $10 worth of btc every week, or whatever.
Can you say "exponential growth."
And be glad you didn't buy at $1000.
Also, quit whining.  Nobody likes a whiner.

If he did that, Bitcoin may tank in the future, then he'd still be Bitcoins ruined mah life.

But yes, that is a good investment plan. Buy a little of what you can afford and hope for the best.
1186  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyway to instantly buy btc? on: December 29, 2013, 01:30:54 PM
hey, i am fresh here

You do realise that to get out of newbie jail you need to make a post consisting of several sentences? Just repeating the same crap wont get you anywhere but possibly banned for spamming.

Is that Elisha Cuthbert?
1188  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you see when you go to bed? on: December 29, 2013, 01:06:18 PM
My ceiling Cheesy

Do you actually sleep on your back? I've never know any one who sleeps like that, unless you're in the movies and like to wake up from nightmares by sitting straight up haha.

It's really good for your face to sleep on your back. You will age better. Same thing goes for sleeping on your side.
That, and also my dick.

I think most people sleep on their side. I've only ever woken up on my face a few times and it really aches, so I can imagine it ageing you pretty bad.
1189  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] "Top" link on: December 29, 2013, 12:52:57 PM
I'm kinda in a need of a [Top] link at the bottom of the forum that would take you back to the top of the page when clicked. I don't wanna sound selfish though, I believe others would find use for this as some threads can get pretty big.
Besides, I'm too lazy to press Home on my keyboard Cheesy

Thoughts?

Can't you just hit page up a couple of times? I think they're might be a f5 key or something that takes you all the way to the top of the page.

1191  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Predict the Date: When will Amazon accept Bitcoin ? on: December 29, 2013, 12:43:34 PM
the acceptance might come, but first, BTC has to stabilise itself and I dont see this coming in the near future. Right now, it is more of an amazing volitile digital commodity with some payment options.

Depends how you define 'near future'. I reckon it will stabilise eventually, but it will take time.
1192  Other / Off-topic / Re: Paying Bitcoins for people to test and give feedback for my first Java game! on: December 29, 2013, 11:59:17 AM
OP, are you going to put this Bitcoin payment in an escrow, because I see many of these bounty threads who never pay out.
1193  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do people spend their bitcoins mostly? on: December 29, 2013, 11:49:58 AM
I haven't spent any of mine yet, but I might buy something from Takeway.com with them here in the UK.

1195  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newb Questions.. on: December 29, 2013, 11:31:01 AM
I have a few android devices , is there any good miner for Android?

I wouldn't waste your time mining on a phone. You'd be better off just trying to buy some cheap coins or trade for them.
1196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt Coins on: December 29, 2013, 11:22:47 AM
Yes,they somehow are linked to btc and if btc goes down most of them do as well. But there is a lot of pump and dump and quite a lot of other factors which influence this kind of connection.

It's because their value is pegged to BTC, and also when BTC suddenly rises, people jump on the next best thing and start panic buying and selling etc.
1197  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will proof of stake prevail? on: December 29, 2013, 11:16:01 AM
I just see it as an alternative. I don't know wether it will prevail or not, but I'm sure it'll work alongside BTC.
1198  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So, how *exactly* does the trust system work? on: December 29, 2013, 11:11:20 AM
The trust system confuses the hell out of me. I thought you got green when you had a positive trust from a trusted member of the site, but I see you have one and are not green.
1199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Pool Payment , Wallet offline on: December 29, 2013, 11:07:21 AM
So hey, newbie question  Cheesy

Whats happens if your wallet programme isn't running when a pool that you're mining with makes a payment to your address. Is it held or lost forever?
So is it necessary to run the wallet all the time or what? Seems to do a lot of talking even when its been synchronised...

It will be there when your wallet re-syncs, don't worry.
1200  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fully Secure chat on: December 29, 2013, 11:02:29 AM
Is there any chat service that is 100% secure, and encrypted chat that no government can track? I have nothing really to hide, but I like the fact that there is something out there that the government cant control. Cheesy

I would've thought any public chat wouldn't be 100% secure, unless you were encrypting every message.
