121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Doge worth investing? on: April 19, 2024, 11:55:24 PM
Being that it's hanging around $.15 right now and the all time high was around $.70 I definately think there is room to run.  With bitcoin being around its all time high it might be a good time to buy doge because I think there isn't too much downside risk right now.  Make sure you sell amd don't hold it all the way down again though.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will altcoins ever cheap again? on: April 19, 2024, 11:52:14 PM
Of course.  Every bull run altcoins plument down like 90%.  The trick with altcoins is that you need to let go of the get rich quick dream and make profit when you can.  I think there is definately some room for a run but all these useless coins that are getting pumped for no reason will drop to next to nothing.
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tropicana, 3rd oldest casino in Vegas, shutting down after 67 years on: April 19, 2024, 11:48:36 PM
Shame I actually like the trop.  The one in Atlantic city is one of the nicer casinos there too.  It's tough to compete with all the new stuff that's coming out.  For some reason nobody likes going to the older casinos.  I actually prefer the ones on Freemont than the fancy ones on the strip.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 19, 2024, 11:46:26 PM
So far Miami looks good without Jimmy buckets but it's a long game.  Chicago started off real cold.  Who does everyone have in the next game?  I'm on the Pelicans, think home cooking helps them pull through like it's been for miami.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 19, 2024, 08:21:05 PM
I love this confidence from Anthony Edwards and I agree with him. He’s 100% the best young talent in the NBA right now and if he can keep his head on straight and continue trying to get better, I don’t see how anyone could be better.

"I'll be the best player in the NBA in about two to three years."

- Anthony Edwards
It's possible, I just hope that he won't get that career destroying injury just as what happened to the many aspiring greatest players but then, lost it all when they've contained it. And speaking of him, congratulations to him for being part of the Team USA.

Team USA has released their roster for the upcoming 2024 Olympics.

LeBron James
Stephen Curry
Kevin Durant
Joel Embiid
Devin Booker
Jayson Tatum
Anthony Davis
Tyrese Haliburton
Anthony Edwards
Jrue Holiday
Bam Adebayo
Kawhi Leonard

Who do you think should have been there?

These members are too good enough for the team US and maybe we can see a good play in this time. Cause other countries have a good team as well like Serbia, France , and Canada these teams are  very good as well but my prediction in this are if the team US will loss then they will behind not exceed in 25 points but I think team US will fight for the finals.  As we all know the capabilities of the players this time. Even though they don't have enough chemistry but veterans moves is there.

Agreed, I like the makeup of this squad.  I think the x factor is lebron.  It's his last trip with the US jersey on and he is playing for his legacy.  I don't think anyone on the international level can compete with him if he is in fight mode and drives.  If he takes outside shots all touny they will be in trouble.  That's the key here for them I think.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WIF was a good memecoin, any other about to go up? on: April 18, 2024, 11:19:26 PM
So when WIF - Dog With Hat coin came out, I wanted it to buy just for fun. Unfortunatelly i did not and the coin went up pretty high. Is there any other prospects to look out for? Risky investments are fun sometimes...  Grin

Honestly if that's the case just pick anyone of them.  There is no rhyme or reason why these things go up at all to be honest.  It's just what people attach to and drive the price up due to greed.  None of these projects are actually viable projects to put your money into long term.  I'd steer clear but hey that's just me.  Your more apt to lose your money than to make any.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying more of the Dip on: April 18, 2024, 11:17:40 PM
While you are scared, El Salvador keeps buying the dip every day.

it seems like El Salvador is taking advantage of the current market conditions and adding to their Bitcoin holdings. As of now, they own 5,700 Bitcoin, which is quite a significant amount. It's an interesting strategy and shows their confidence in the long-term potential of cryptocurrency.
anyways for now i'm happy about the halving and will be celebrating it with the Halving carnival Bitget exchange is organizing, who knows if i can win some free bucks and buy bitcoin too

what are your thoughts on this Anon ?

Smart money makes more money.  Traditionally over the life of bitcoin anytime you buy the dip you have been rewarded.  The major bullrun won't be seen for awhile so why not build up your stack while you wait.  As the old saying goes buy low and when people are worried and sell high or when people are greedy.
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Jontay Porter receives lifetime ban from NBA for violating gambling rules" on: April 18, 2024, 11:15:41 PM
Honestly I I get the ban.  Betting on the game you play ruins the integrity of the game and people question the legitimacy of it if players are betting or skewing the results.  But the NBA can't wash theor own hands of this.  They literally have the gambling sites advertising on the sport.  I mean what do they expect to happen if they are pushing the agenda?
129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 18, 2024, 11:12:53 PM
No games today sadly, so we can all prepare for tomorrow's halving event.  Smiley

Still, I couldn't resist getting a bet in for tomorrow.  I know, I know...  The Kings are 0-5 against the Pelicans this year, they're playing in New Orleans and are also given odds.  Probably should think this is a terrible bet but I don't at all.  Granted I'm a hometown Sacramento boy, but there's absolutely no way the Kings lose this game and I'm betting on it.

New Orleans Pelicans - Sacramento Kings
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Sacramento Kings

Odds
1.86

Yeah, I think if Zion is not going to play, Sacramento got the edge and so that bet is good and I was also go that route as they are now the favorite in that game. Pels are at 1.99 and that is a long shot already.

Los Angeles vs Denver Nuggets - the Lakers are a huge underdog in game 1.

While the Clippers and the Mavs are almost even at this point.

I'm taking the Mavericks in game one.  I think Luka and kyrie are built for road game villains.  If one is having an off night the other can drop 40.  I'm not touching the Pelicans game, even without zion I still think they got a decent shot against sacramento.  Ingram can be an alpha whenever he wants and he shoukd show up huge in that game tomorrow.
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 18, 2024, 11:10:17 PM
No Jimmy Buckets!  Undecided

Jimmy Butler officially ruled out of Friday's do-or-die Play-In game vs. Bulls

We're waiting for him this play-in and then he's got injured for the very first game. This MCL sprain on his right knee really, come on. We know how he changes and puts himself into beast mode every play-in/playoffs that they're going.

I guess that there's no more threat to the Celtics with this news. But with the Bulls, as they'll be the one for their next matchup, everyone is going to put money on the line for the Bulls.

They might I just wouldn't count out the Heat.  Not that Jimmy isn't the biggest part of that team but you never know in one and done games.  One cold streak by either team and you can lose.  Like the regular season when good teams lose to bottom feeders.  That's where 7 game series come in play.  Over time the best teams win but one and done I hate betting.
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin halving, historical price surges to follow? on: April 17, 2024, 08:50:54 PM
Guys have you been tracking these Bitcoin halving cycles? It's wild how they've consistently led to massive price surges in the past.

Like, the first one saw the price jump from $12 all the way up to $1,200. And the second halving? The price went from $647 to over $19,000 - that's a 651% increase!

The second halving, the price was around $8,800 before it skyrocketed to over $63,000. The pattern is clear. Based on that history, a lot of analysts are predicting Bitcoin soaring to around $500K.

If that ends up happening, anyone who gets in before then is gonna be sitting pretty. The window to stack those sats before the big run-up is closing fast. I recently joined the “Chase the 1 BTC Halving Treasure" on bitget. Might be worth checking out.

Keep loading your bags, because in a couple years, you're gonna be one happy camper. This Bitcoin halving cycle is about to go parabolic, I can feel it.

I agree with you.  A lot of people aren't buying in and think it topped off for awhile, they couldn't be more wrong.  Not every cycle will be the same but a lot of times it does.  I'm betting this one will be no different.  I think the percentage it goes up vs previous cycles won't be the same but it should be significant.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market lost over $400 billion in two days, indicates Iran Israel issue on: April 17, 2024, 08:48:38 PM
If it wasn't that event it was going to be something else.  There was a lot of hot air in the meme push as well as the top coins.  It needs a rebaseline for the post halving bull run.  There always is a smaller bull before the real one.  It's a chance for everyone to continue to stack sats.  Look at it as an opportunity.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where would you prefer to watch your favorite team? on: April 17, 2024, 08:47:04 PM
It depends.  I'm a football, baseball and basketball fan.  So for regular season games I like to be home.  If the game isn't going all that well I can just turn it off.  In terms of playoffs I like to watch around another group of fans of the same team.  Nothing like getting hyped with other people, and as long as tickets aren't that much be at the game.  Problem is being there is costly I don't like getting terrible seats.  If that's the case I'd rather just watch on tv.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 17, 2024, 08:44:02 PM
Big news this morning but not unexpected. Woj is reporting that Blake Griffin (via his IG) has retired from the NBA. Blake never found success after leaving the Los Angeles Clippers but that’s somewhat to be expected given his athletic play style. Dunking over everyone is definitely a young man’s game. Those early days on the Clippers were something else though…

Yeah, it's probably time for his to retire, Lob City was one of the best teams to watch with him, CP3 and DeAndre Jordan, who I think is still playing. But when Blake got injured, it's just a matter of time before he lose his athleticism.

I will go with the Lakers over Pelican, -1.5, at 2.06 odds. I think the Lakers can cover the handicap, as Lebron and AD are healthy enough to counter the youth of Pelicans. Plus their starting five as one of the solid fives this season as they literally can score 100+ points or more with Reaves, D'Lo and Hachimura.

I got the Pelicans here.  So much money on the Lakers here I can see the Pelicans donating this game or at minimum winning.  They are a great home team amd they have a inside out formula that can beat the Lakers.  I just hate betting with the masses.  I still can't figure out tonight's game but I'm leaning golden state. And gonna take the over on steph pts whatever it is.  Dude is gonna shoot 35 shots tonight.

Lol I couldn't have been more wrong than I was last night.  Klay putting up a goose egg in a do or die game is crazy.  It sure looks like the end of an era, dare I say steph will want to end his career on another team?  I don't see how they compete with that squad going forward.  Either that or they need to nail free agency.  They are good enough not to land a top pick in the draft but not good enough to compete.  Probably the worst position you can be in.
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 17, 2024, 08:40:40 PM
Taking the live bet pelicans for the win.  I know lebron and AD and all that but Pelicans at home and if the Lakers lose they move out from having to deal with Denver until at least the western conference finals.  They are gonna push but if pels are up late I can see the Lakers letting this one go.  It's gonna be a good game either way but the money is right
Pelicans were able to have a big run, it's just unfortunate that Zion was injured and that give the Lakers a chance to attack and win. It could go either way but Lakers got lucky here.  Now, they have to face the Denver Nuggets again which is way better than the Pelicans, I hope this would not be a repeat of the last season playoffs.

Yeah it's unfortunate because they made a nice run there.  I don't think zion will ever be able to avoid injuries.   The kid is amazing when he is on the court but at his size it just doesn't seem like it can handle the rigors of playing 82 games plus playoffs every year.  Hopefully he will be OK in the play in because I'm rooting for them.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest 1k in altcoins on: April 16, 2024, 11:51:24 PM
How to invest i mean how to diverse 1000

On altcoins how much to buy of each coin?!

In safe way and profitable

Buying altcoins and using the word safe don't go together.  There is no safe way to buy altcoins since they are all pretty much a gamble.  If you want crypto and safe stick the whole thing into bitcoin and let it ride.  You are looking for big profits it sounds like which requires huge risk.  Simply put there is no way to mitigate risk in altcoins.  You have to be prepared to lose it all.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC sues UniSwap: an opportunity for DeFi? on: April 16, 2024, 11:49:15 PM
Definitely won't take off because people are lazy.  The prevalence of people keeping theor coins on centralized exchanges and not using wallets where they control theor own keys is crazy.  No matter what happens people will always use what's easy to use no matter what security risks there are.  Sad but is the way it is.

139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of eSports Betting on: April 16, 2024, 11:44:18 PM
I haven't really ever got into exports betting or even watched it.  I can just see so much collusion and corruption if there is big money on any particular game I can see these players being easy to buy.  With corruption huge in all of sports this seems to be one that I can't bet into.  Has there been any serious documented thrown games in eSports?
