1241  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Hoeveel %btc bedraagt jouw portefeuille? on: October 22, 2018, 08:37:53 AM
Grin
1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next bull run is coming on: October 21, 2018, 10:28:40 AM
These predictions are based on nothing. Maybe they were useful in 2017 but not anymore.

Right now, we are starting to see real development and real interest from outside this closed community for projects that started years ago (think SYS, KMD, WAVES, etc but also just blockchain technology in general). The time of jumping in without thinking something through, being sure some pump will come soon, has gone. This is where you will have to begin looking into projects and their products seriously, because the real life adaptation will be more and more important, as opposed to the cliché (and empty headed) "value-supply" factors that have been used up till now.

This guy is begging for a wall of shame nomination!
1244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eBTC | The New (ERC20) Bitcoin on: October 20, 2018, 10:05:50 PM
If we put all critical remarks about the past aside, I still wonder how this new ebtcx platform could be different from anything we have seen up till now. What will create its unique position and how are you going to restore the horribly bad reputation the coin has right now?

No volume in the last 24 hours. This is about to become a real success story.  Roll Eyes

The countdown on the website has reached zero 15 minutes ago. Woooow!!!! Shocked

(I'm kidding: nothing happened)
1247  Other / Meta / Re: mass ban on: October 15, 2018, 02:47:08 PM
Look at this:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5023825.msg46859622#msg46859622

PAAAAGES full of spam coming from Newbie accounts, all registered around 2-3 September, all with 0 Merit and all with 14 Activity and all in the same campaigns. This is clearly one and the same robot. Some of these bounty campaigns have ended weeks ago.

I have been reporting this for days now, ONE BY ONE, I feel like a clown. Really, I've got a life, you know. This could be a full-time job and I am always interested to help cleaning, but in that case, I want a salary or I'll talk to the Union. Wink

Why haven't these accounts been banned???

So please: MASS BAN!
1248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2 great coins to invest now on: October 14, 2018, 10:04:26 PM
Great. Newbie posting 2 "great" coins without any info or motivation whatsoever about why we should invest in them right now.

Let's trust this blindly and be rich tomorrow.
1249  Other / Meta / Re: Shouldn't bounty managers clean up spam posts in their thread ? on: October 14, 2018, 01:11:18 PM
Are thread starters (bounty managers) allowed to delete comments done by bounty participants? Or the only option is to report to moderators?

4. Close the thread as soon as all bounties have been distributed.
I think it's better if the bounty thread be closed immediately after the campaign ended and just provide a complaint form at the top of the thread. I know one manager using google form for submitting complaints and it's working.

Yeah. Of course, it's not up to me or us to decide how to run a bounty campaign properly, but they should at least keep their own threads clean. By reporting, self-moderating, closing threads, just any way that works. I am sick of cleaning up other people's mess by hitting this "Report" link one by one. We've all got more useful things to do and if nothing happens, well-meaning members might get demotivated and eventually leave the forums sooner or later. That would be a shame.
1250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LET US- LIST - some old established projects where the dev team is highly active on: October 14, 2018, 01:07:54 PM
I have been following SYScoin from the very beginning I started following crypto. It is a complete mystery as to how its value is lower than half of its last year's value. This project is bursting with ambition and potential, there's constant and impressive development, transparency and good communication. It consistently appears in the top hit lists and blockchain leaderboards, yet it fails to raise. That is, of course, if you assume that value reflects content.
1251  Other / Meta / Re: I'm thinking of running a topic starting contest for non-english speakers. on: October 13, 2018, 10:43:37 AM
I have started a Merit give-away topic for Dutch-speaking people in May 2018.

I have not been too difficult about it: if someone sent a somewhat coherent link with a topic or a reply, proving he was not a plain spammer or nonsense poster, I gave him at least 1 sMerit.

We are months later, in my last post, I almost have to BEG for people to want them. Roll Eyes
1252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you remember the Dutch guy who sold his house for Bitcoin? on: October 06, 2018, 08:47:56 PM
They have a website: https://yolofamilytravel.com, so you can follow their travelling adventures on their blog. Smiley
1253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🚀[ANN][JS]JavaScript Token/Javascript Blockchain platform/NO ICO📈🌟🚀 on: October 06, 2018, 10:37:33 AM
Pretty much settled that without active team and strong community support, tokens will either be a dead coin or a mere PnD, and this token didn't have both. Maybe it'll be best to stop commenting back to this thread and let it die, so there won't be any more people fell to this project by reading the bump

Please allow me the pleasure of leaving a souvenir of the roadmap of this world-shocking project for our children and grandchildren, before they quickly change their website again. Cool Grin

Hey Guys!

I have a small update to share:

We launched our new maintenance page with countdown for the full webrelease including updated team info, roadmap, whitepaper, voting dApp and many more! Unfortunately, it took longer than expected, because our first webdevelopement company missed all deadlines, so we had no other choice than switch the company. We are sorry for the delays, but since protech.global took over responsibillities for our webdevelopment things are running fine and progress is made really fast.

If you want to stay Up-To-Date, feel free to subsribe to our Newsletter.

I sure do hope that Protech Global will not be responsible for the English translation of your website.

1255  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Merit in Nederlandstalige community on: October 06, 2018, 08:55:50 AM
Heb al eerder in dit topic gepost. Heb het net terug gelezen ben aardig kort door de bocht geweest.
Heb me over het hele merit gebeuren heen gezet.

1256  Other / Meta / Re: Shouldn't bounty managers clean up spam posts in their thread ? on: October 05, 2018, 07:26:00 PM

Hmmm yes. That's spectacular investigative journalism, man. Did it occur to you (even for a second) that replying to these nonsense posts with complete sarcasm was exactly the purpose? Roll Eyes

Surely you did notice that, back then, I couldn't even participate in signature bounties, because I was still a Newbie. Cool Eventually I quit the sarcasm and started reporting these posts. Mostly not because it was spam, but because people like you didn't understand my replies were meant to be sarcastic.

Oh but please go on with your list. Surprise us.
1257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: VOISE - Revolution of the music industry on: October 04, 2018, 01:24:28 PM
Is it true that today will come out the new Whitepaper v0.3? Because i found that information at CoinMarketCal, with a release date. Can anyone say something about that?

Nothing mentioned on Twitter, only talking about some bounty campaign. For a change... Where's your source?
1258  Other / Meta / Re: Shouldn't bounty managers clean up spam posts in their thread ? on: September 28, 2018, 10:23:47 AM
Here is a nice one from the PR Manager of Syscoin:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1466445.msg45655560#msg45655560

Instead of reporting the spam message (which I did in his place... Roll Eyes), he thanks the guy for his support. Grin
1259  Other / Meta / Re: Shouldn't bounty managers clean up spam posts in their thread ? on: September 26, 2018, 07:01:45 PM
We need a general guidelines for the bounty managers as well as for the Ann thread managers.

I considered adding ANN threads to my OP, too, but then I thought we really can't expect people to follow up their ANN threads for months or - if the project is successful - even years. Or can we? At least, for a bounty thread, the final date is already known from the start and the manager will (or should) be there during this whole period.
1260  Other / Meta / Re: Shouldn't bounty managers clean up spam posts in their thread ? on: September 26, 2018, 06:37:55 PM
Also cleaning up hundreds of post will be an impossible task for the bounty manager as he is only one person.

I am only talking about the posts made in the bounty thread itself. It's not at all "hundreds" of posts, and if you close the thread at the end of the campaign, you'll hardly have to clean up a thing.

If they have the time and energy to manage, calculate and distribute hundreds of bounties, they really won't mind spending one minute a day to keep their thread clean and the community happy, don't you think? And if they don't want to self-moderate, they simply can hit the "Report to moderator" link and the cleaning will be done by the mods.

If they don't, the cleaning will have to be done by other members and especially by the mods. And then, indeed, we won't be talking about hundreds but about thousands of posts, which is exactly where we stand today.
