1241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price lowering a bit on: May 08, 2016, 11:23:21 AM
it's funny to see that people don't say much when the price is rising with a decent amount, but when the price goes down a few bucks people somehow start to get a little bit worried. don't look at these micro fluctuations unless you're a high frequency trader making hundreds of thousands of profit each year. but i'm sure that isn't the case here. the price behaves like it always has done. it has gone up a few bucks and maybe tomorrow or somewhere next week it will go down a few bucks. nothing special.
1242  Economy / Economics / Re: 2016 Has Brought a Bitcoin Awakening on: May 08, 2016, 11:14:27 AM
But what size does the market have to be to be big enough?
I would say at least 1 trillion, but that is a 150x rise from here.  I am optimistic, but I don't see 1 bitcoin being worth 50k anytime soon!

Baby steps should raise the cap to over 15 Billion again at some point, still chicken feed for economies and even super rich people, but a good bit better than now!

if we even manage to get the market cap of bitcoin to be 1% of the market cap of gold we can see that as a great achievement already. 1% of the market cap of gold equals $76,500,000,000.
1243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Welcome back $410 on: May 07, 2016, 04:40:55 PM
If the price goes high too fast, there will be big crash after. That happened in 2013 and caused three year bear market.

bear market or not, there are always enough money making possibilities with bitcoin. you just need to make sure you know how to take advantage of the price going up or down. but yes, i do agree with the fact that the price shouldn't go up too fast as quick increases mostly don't last very long. that's why i am happy with the current price. if it stays at the current price level, then i'm fine with that. i love stability.
1244  Economy / Speculation / Re: to buy or not to buy on: May 07, 2016, 04:36:00 PM
I think anything buying below $500 is good price to buy as price will be higher in next couple of months so buying now is the best thing to do.

those who are planning to hold it as long term investment will have a great buy below $500 these days. however, i am not sure whether or not it is a good short term buy as the price can go into any direction at the moment.
1245  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: May 07, 2016, 04:27:52 PM
For true devotees of Bitcoin, the price of the digital currency is almost irrelevant. They believe in its inherent value or, more frequently, cannot see any value at all in the alternative of government issued fiat currency. Price is therefore not a concern. At the other end of the spectrum, for those that harbor what appears to be an irrational hatred of Bitcoin and anything to do with it, the exchange rate also matters little. They were screaming that it was all worthless when the price was at over $1000, and somehow convince themselves that an exchange rate of over 200 times what it was before that bubble proves their point. For the vast majority of people somewhere in the middle, however, the price of the currency in Dollar, Euro, Yuan or whatever terms is important.

I don't really think that there are that many devotees of Bitcoin. A lot of people are just trying to make profit off Bitcoin, so the price definitely does matter. I am one of those people, so the price matters to me.

Price matters to each and every user of bitcoin, if  bitcoin falls back to $100 then I am sure many of users will quit bitcoin and make their investment in some other product.

Lol? I will definitely not quit when Bitcoin goes down to $100 prices. I will use that situation in my advantage to buy as many coins as I can. And I'm sure other people will do the same.

Me too, if that happens that bitcoin will down to $100, that is the best time to invest and buy bitcoin.
Take the opportunity because for just the short time it will rise again.

what some see as a very bad moment for bitcoin, can be seen as a great opportunity by the other. i would not wait with investing when the prices tanks to such prices. usually i only use 50% of the money i have for investment purposes and keep the other 50% for when the price goes down further, but at $100 prices i will go all in.
1246  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: May 07, 2016, 03:15:46 PM
I feel better for the moment to multiply the money we have to invest all bitcoin we have. but, if you can not wait, maybe you'd better save bitcoin to prepare when halving occurs

i don't think the upcoming block halving will have that much of an impact as we have seen the price increase quite a bit last 6 months. i have the feeling that we have around 25% of potential profit that we can gain this year. better invest now before it's too late.
1247  Economy / Speculation / Re: how much gonna be 1 BTC in a year? on: May 07, 2016, 02:34:26 PM
No predictions can be made exactly, but in reality upon every user expectation I believe bitcoin will be around $600-$700 after the days of halving.

a few years earlier the price of bitcoin has always been at $400-450, as this year we will have halving. yes possibility we could increase this year will be in $600-700
Actually nobody will exactly know what the value will be in one year but you can make a prediction of course but it is hard to make the decision now because you dont know what to do.
Because the value is now rising slowly and you dont know when it will stop rising and that is the problem.

well, i am a trader and a holder. so if the price goes down again it will allow me to make profit while trading and if it goes up i can again profit and the same time the coins that i hold for the long term increase in value. it's a win win for me whether the price goes up or down.
1248  Economy / Speculation / Re: So, how long before it drops to 410 AGAIN? on: May 07, 2016, 02:25:49 PM
We're at 420-425 today. We all know it's going back down to 410 soon. The question is when?

now price is 450$ and i don't think that price will fall to 410$ anytime soon, because people will buy even bitcoins now after this price rise, soif they will buy more, price will rise more

and i think they they buy it either because steam accepts bitcoins now, or halving, steam for buying games or for halving, to sell them for more after it and to get profit

i don't see anything in the price that is steam related. it's the block halving that is dictating the entire market currently. people are accumulating as many coins as they can. and that's causing the price to go up.
1249  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin halving is real? on: May 07, 2016, 01:25:58 PM

people should consider this as well

it can also go otherway around

Nobody is sure that btc will rise after halving
its just  experts predictions

that's exactly the reason for me to not expect miracles from the block halving. i am realistic enough to know the price can also go down instead of up. i am prepared for it.
1250  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: May 07, 2016, 01:23:55 PM
I know that miners pumped bitcoin last year from the 250dollars to the new stable price that were 400dollars the halving come were the reason under the pump, now we are aproaching and peopld hoping to it gets bigger,as me but i know at some moment a colapse may happen and some people will panic and dump.

large miners such as btc china which is a pool and an exchange can easily manipulate the price in their favor, but at this point i think their influence is minimal. they will step in once they see the price goes below a certain price level where they don't profit as much as they would like.
1251  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: May 06, 2016, 03:01:43 PM
In Germany the biggest bill (500€) is gonna get removed.
That speaks for itself.

here the €500 bill will slowly get removed from the market as well. they say the reason is to make it harder for terrorists and criminals to transport cash money.
1252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to 1200-1300 (within a month?) on: May 06, 2016, 01:28:14 PM
Bitcoin will not rise that fast as you can see now you see that the value of Bitcoin will rise soon and that will be good but it wont rise to that much because it goes not that fast.
As you can see now you see that the value keeps stable for a long time and many people dont like it.

I like current rise. Slow and steady, in my opinion much better way for long run. I believe bitcoin can make amazing thing in future, but that will not come fast. Its something that is created just 8 years ago.
I don't like when people like bitcoin just for price rise and fast fortune. For me bitcoin is great thing, I can do things that i like with btc. It doesn't matter if price is 400 or 450 $, that is on second place. First is enjoying in earning, gamble with btc and spent it on other ways.
The value is not going to that high and as you can see now you see also that the value is going rising slowly indeed but it is not rising that fast so it will takes a long time.
And that is bad for the most people because they dont have the patience for it and that is bad.

i actually prefer a slower growth as it will allow the support to build up and get stronger so the price won't get dumped down so hard. slow growth is much more sustainable and that's why i will take slow growth over peaks at any time.
1253  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: May 06, 2016, 11:25:51 AM
if you want save your 1 Btc, for a long period, so it is not bad idea but becareful about Bitcoin's price, because don't think that the price of bitcoin will be same, the price will always up and down.YES, you can call it is a good long term investment.

i find holding just 1 btc to be on the lower side. if you have the money available to invest in something, then definitely buy yourself as many coins as you can. that way you can secure profits every now and then when the price is high enough for you, and you'll also have some spare coins to save for the real long term (5-10 years).
1254  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin still be the preferred cryptocurrency after 10 years? on: May 06, 2016, 11:01:53 AM
no one can answer that, but if bitcoin gets developed further and more parties are interested to give bitcoin a huge boost by getting it listed in professional (stock like) exchanges for example, then bitcoin will continue to grow and that will make sure bitcoin is still leading after a decade.
1255  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin rise up to 800$ this year ? on: May 06, 2016, 10:50:03 AM
Hopefully it will. Then I'll make 2x the money invested if I buy now. But I bought my Bitcoin when the price was $200 so I'm very happy with the current price.

if you bought a good amount of coins at $200 prices then i would just sit back and enjoy seeing the value of your coins go up and up. if you still are not satisfied with the number of coins that you have, then i would start buying right now. but since you say you are happy with your coins i assume that you aren't going to buy more coins any time soon.
1256  Economy / Economics / Re: Sell Everything? on: May 06, 2016, 10:14:52 AM
Selling everything is not the best thing that you do but maybe it will be more worth in the future if the value is going be higher but you must wait a long time until it will be more worth.
But if you want to make profit with Bitcoin around this time you have to trade maybe or gambling but that can takes a long time and also risky.

So they best thing is that you must have some patience for it and wait for a higher value to sell it.
The best way to do is just sell a little amount of it just to get back your investment with some profits but never sell all of it unless you want to leave this crypto life for good. If you are holding a considerable numbers of bitcoins the value of that in the next 5 to 10 years might be double or multiplied by 10 if you are lucky but the trend will never go down.

Well you are right. If you aren't need money by turn your bitcoin into fiat, better don't sell all your coins. better wait until the price of bitcoin have a good price, then you can sell it.

Selling all your coins is never recommended as you always need to hold some for future as we don't know what will be the price of bitcoin in future.

so far i have never seen anyone be happy with selling all his coins. it gives them a bad feeling and they will end up buying back at a higher price level just to get rid of the bad feeling that selling all their coins give them.
1257  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: May 06, 2016, 10:11:35 AM
I have full faith in Bitcoin. I believe that one day Bitcoin will replace fiat. But by the time it happens, I will probably be dead.

you'll get very disappointed and you'll waste time waiting for that day to happen. set yourself some more realistic goals. that's much better.
1258  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: May 06, 2016, 09:39:46 AM
The moment you invest in bitcoin that is considered a sure profit and bitcoin price will go up because bitcoin has a bright and good future ahead.

nothing will give you a guaranteed profit, even not bitcoin. you need to make sure you buy at lower levels and sell at higher levels to make profit. if you don't know when to buy, and buy at peaks and later see the price tank significantly, then where is your sure profit? weak hands will sell in panic to avoid making even bigger losses.

That's true we know when to sell but we really don't know when to buy as we cannot judge which is the best price to buy, but while selling you always know as price goes higher then your purchase you should sell it.

that's right, no one knows where the bottom is. and that's why i keep buying all the way down. this allows me to benefit from the lowest possible price. so far it has made me good profit throughout the years.
1259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you ever wonder... on: May 05, 2016, 11:11:10 AM
the majority of the people here are the kind that always keeps waiting for a better price until it's too late to enter the market at that moment. they will feel what they have missed once the price has gone up to much higher price levels. it will make them realize that they have been wasting their precious time with waiting. they will never change.
1260  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to go to US$800+ on: May 05, 2016, 11:02:48 AM
It can happen but I do not think that it is going to happen this year especially if the halving comes in to play then the price will be down in no time. But if the halving is canceled is possible for the Bitcoin price to reach $800 this year.

$800 is just $350 from the current $450. When the bitcoin price rise, it usually double at least. This year, we also have halving.

Lol, the way you put it you make it seem we'll reach $800 next week. Cheesy In reality it's not that easy. Even the $50 difference between $450 and $500 will take us quite some time to break it. And then we still have $600 which might not even be touched this year.

you are right, people think halving will bring the price increase to 800-1000.
in fact we will be hard to touch $600. we can see when we last touched $500 and that was long enough

Its just an speculation that price will be higher at the time of halving no one is sure that what will be the price of bitcoin at the time of halving.

well, people have very high hopes of what the effect of the block halving is on the price. people were speculating about a significant increase when the price was still below $300 and now we are on the edge of $450. that's a more than decent increase, so realistically, what else than $500-$500 can we expect this year? not much...
