1261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC should be for big whales on: February 12, 2019, 08:09:35 PM
KYC for big investors is already required in every project, even small investors are required to verify KYC but not as complex as big investors, and KYC for bounty is to avoid multiple account fraud

More importantly, it is there so gov. agencies can track any "unexpected millionaires" which they were unable to do so with Bitcoin & phase 1 cryptos.
1262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BAT (Basic Attn coin) and Brave browser on: February 12, 2019, 08:08:21 PM
The whole fad about BAT has been going on for a while. The concept is unique and yes it has potential. But so did Litecoin and a bunch of other altcoins that are almost dying out. Take ETC for example, amidst hostile takeovers, betrayals etc everything is a mess. Potential went down the toilet a while ago.
1263  Economy / Economics / Re: Current Market state on: February 12, 2019, 08:06:32 PM
I wonder if old torrent giants like TPB or Bitlord would ever get into the token business and why Bittorrent timed their ICO so late?

With so much money raised would they be able to make any significant policy changes when it comes to online privacy?
1264  Other / Meta / Re: Black screen when loading forum pages in chrome. on: February 12, 2019, 07:31:42 PM
This used to be more prevalent in the windows xp / 98 days and with internet explorer.
Basically, it's a graphics / low ram issue.
1. Just disable hardware acceleration from the settings and you'll be fine.
2. Get better hardware.
1265  Other / Meta / Re: Is forum working fine today? What's wrong with me ? on: February 12, 2019, 07:27:45 PM
Most likely, a subsequent request for deletion was made posthumously.

^ And this actually happened with me earlier.
Typically happens when there's a modification (like deletion etc) is done to a post that has been opened for a while and in the meantime someone else has modified the post.
1266  Other / Meta / Re: [RELEASED] @mention notification bot - now with Telegram on: February 12, 2019, 06:58:28 PM
Somehow I'm JUST running into this. I sure as hope this doesn't make Telegram more unusable than what it is already.
I've switched over to discord already.
1267  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin ETF Decision on the 16th of August ? on: February 12, 2019, 06:54:12 PM
Reality Shares is supposedly looking into creating a new wave in the ETF front.

I read about it while I was investigating on Loom network and somehow I went to articles related to Reality Shares' Blockforce Global Currency Strategy ETF on Marketwatch.

Seems like another legit attempt and another chance for the price to tank.
1268  Economy / Securities / Re: Seeking an investor for a consulting service on: February 08, 2019, 03:58:31 PM
The point of an investor is so that I wont be in debt. Any business can fail, and plus I would like the investor to come along and give opinions on the business if he/she has any.

If you can't sell your own belief in your own business to other people, how can you ever expect to have investor confidence?

You do not need money, to be honest, you need the right people that invest their time with you.
People with skills that can develop your website for a certain % of your business and this needs to be done through the proper LOCAL channels.
If you go under today how can an international investor EVER get hold of you to recover their money?

Although I'm broke now, I have invested in similar tech service based businesses before and people like me do not want to be involved in your business, we're passive investors, if you have enough meat in the game, we'll come, or at least the likes of us that still have some money now would come.

I have moved the price up again due to sales. If you are interested feel free to send me a PM. I am still looking for an investor and could possibly give a deal on the investment price if the user works with me on the business side.

Making sales in a small time frame does not constitute fairgrounds for raising equity value. If you are looking to sell your percentage then you must provide an average stable cost of entry for your would-be investors. You have to do this by taking business sales, turnover and cash burn rate into account.

If you are still insisting in getting investors, try to first build the brand otherwise it's like someone else said above me, any tech savy person with enough time and necessity can outsell your business.
1269  Economy / Securities / Re: Searching investors for interesting project! on: February 08, 2019, 12:36:13 PM
The lack of your understanding when it comes to market making is shambolic. Especially considering the fact that you are trying to sell a "Stable coin" on the pretext of making profits through discounted buy-ins. Do you even know how a stable coin is actually stabilized? What understanding of the basic market principles and technology do you have; to even claim to be able to pull this off and then expect people to believe that shit?

This isn't just a ponzi scheme. Its a blatant rip off / fraud.
1270  Economy / Securities / Re: Private Investors For Mixtape and BTC/ALTCoin Shill Campaign on: February 08, 2019, 12:30:20 PM
Wait a sec. $100k for mixtapes???

and ..

I believe that if we all are in a collective conscious agreement , that Bitcoin will go up to 100k  ....

do you mean to say that if all of us should just close our eyes and pray really hard and the price of Bitcoin would go up?? Just like that??
No sell barriers, no buy walls, no support structures, no actual influx of liquidity into the system? Nothing??

So its almost like sitting at the toilet and closing your eyes and putting pressure to create the magic of poop .. correct?

(Sense the sarcasm, and do not return to this forum)

1271  Economy / Securities / Re: Investors on BitcoinTalk on: February 08, 2019, 12:26:26 PM
I tried to start an investment club to speculate in selected low cost alts. I didn't manage to raise any interest, so, as I wasn't really after the money, but really wanted the information and advice sharing, I decided to create a bunch of alt names, and make all the investments myself.

I'm still trying to work out how to build a blockchain coin to use as an alternative to share certificates.

You don't need a "coin" per se. You can just use the blockchain as a nonyielding ledger. There are some economic drawbacks and it would be sort of centralized. Have you tried talking to someone for the development of this idea?
1272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] NIX - Next gen privacy currency & multi-layered interoperability platform on: February 07, 2019, 08:19:14 PM
I wonder why is this thread self moderated? Is it the fear of comments made about the alleged 5000 bitcoins Shrem stole from the Winklevoss bros?
Seriously, I see a really good attempt being made at covering up old news about this Charlie guy, if memory serves right, he was one of the first people I heard about back when I was getting into Bitcoin. Terms like "Bitcoin's first criminal" was a common slang that was used to mention this guy.

I really wonder what the NIX team were thinking when they thought of bringing this guy onboard.

Shrem was one of the first people who bought Bitcoin and created a business around it. He seems to have a fine nose for good projects, he is very well connected in the crypto scene, he can speak very well in front of cameras and has created a brand around himself. Not many people have achieved what he has.

lol are you forgetting the fact that he knowingly sold coins to people that were going to use it for drugs?? I wonder what kind of brand he built when he served his time in jail for 2 years.
1273  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for graphical designer without a crown on a head on: February 07, 2019, 06:44:16 AM
It's nothing but a try to speak to adequate professionals rather than those who stuck in crypto-year 2017

Graphic work or general online freelancing work has nothing to do with crypto boom. If you want to pay peanuts for the jobs, go to freelancer.com
1274  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Top Gift Card Aggregator in Bangladesh. on: February 06, 2019, 10:59:49 PM
If you want to buy some GC's for amazon / google / steam etc then you can head on to kichukkhon.com
I tried it once when I was in the country at a relative's place. Works as advertised although their support is pretty slow. One of the codes didn't work, they were slow to issue a refund but they did do it nonetheless.
1275  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for a safe payment way for online selling on: February 06, 2019, 10:55:45 PM
Being a seller it's good to prioritize bitcoin as the primary payment gateway adding funds to the escrow. Additional to that you can provide with PayPal and other such payment possibilities. This will help your service being used by all people upon their convenience.
Payment by cryptocurrency is showing its advantages and is becoming more and more popular in today's life. I think that the online business of cryptocurrency is extremely great and efficient, you can use coins with low transaction speed and fees like ETH and XRP.

I'd normally stick with eth or btc or any other large crypto coin when taking payments - however as last year as proved, it is a very fickle store of value, comparatively speaking accepting any token which is listed on a decent exchange should suffice.
Keep in mind this is what I do, it may not be the best case scenario for most people. In some cases paypal is still the safer alternative.
1276  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for graphical designer without a crown on a head on: February 06, 2019, 10:51:48 PM
What is the true meaning of "without a crown on a head", to be able pay as low as possible?

I'd say that is a sarcastic way to taunt graphic designers when they demand fair pay for any work they do.
You either work like a king or slave away at pinoy rates.
1277  Economy / Services / Re: [HIRING] Agents to contact/recruit blockchain projects for exchange listing on: February 06, 2019, 06:17:16 PM
Hello and thanks for dropping by. Our company is launching an exchange this month (Feb 2019) and we are in need of sales agents who will contact token projects out there. The goal is to make contact and get them to list their token(s) on our new exchange. This job will be commission based. You get 20% of the initial listing fee and % of trading fee that token creates for 6 months. For example, if you recruited token A for 5 BTC(the minimum), then you get 1 BTC up front and % of trading fee the token A creates on our platform. Please don't hesitate to contact me for any questions you may have!

* Blockchain knowledge is a must!
* Experienced agents are always welcomed

I do not think you will find many dapp/token/ico developers right now who would be willing to fork upwards of $17k for listing their tokens on a brand new exchange. Especially in this market and when there are much cheaper established alternatives available.
If it were my business, I would create a free listing option for reputable projects that already have the communities built and leverage that existing community.

Great points! Certainly the market has been difficult for the projects worldwide. We based the price on the industry average and we will be offering them additional services to boost trade (not just listing  token). It certainly wasn't easy trying to figure out a price point but we are confident that we are making it worth for the projects that do apply to us.

The fact is a new token / dapp would be far better off buying some development time and creating a brand new scaled-down exchange script under $17k with enough cash left over to spend on marketing.
Don't go by the industry average of 2017 .. THIS is 2019 where the btc price is hovering just above $3k.

I do not think that you guys would be able to justifiably prove that you are offering any advantage for any project to even consider spending $17k with you. If I am wrong please excuse me but the burden of proof falls on you.
