1281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Other than bitcoin is it worth to invest in Ripple? on: January 15, 2020, 05:05:09 PM
Well, I am not optimistic that XRP will reach $2 or $3 as you have predicted but XRP is another decent crypto you can be sure you will make a profit if you invest in it for the long term. I have seen XRP making up to around 50% gain in the past and when you study the graph you will see the potential in the coin
1282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Says Bear Market is BAD? on: January 14, 2020, 03:03:44 PM
bear market is only good for traders with great experience and dedicate alot of time daily. Casual trader will surely regret if he/she trade in bear market unless you buy some top tier coin when the price is deep with confidence that even if you dont make profit, at least you cannot make loss at the long run
1283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do scam ICOs really taken to the court? on: January 14, 2020, 02:59:23 PM
it depends on some factors such as the countries and also maybe the business is legally registered. If you check very well, you will see that most ICO that eventually turn to the scam are not legally registered in the country it claims to be operating from and many of them are not from country like Canada, UK, Australia, and other related countries
1284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Analysis company that trains students to detect cryptocurrency scams on: January 14, 2020, 02:51:59 PM
According to CipherTrace The cost of robberies, scams and fraud had already reached more than $ 4 billion by the end of the third quarter of 2019,

I'm not advocating crime, but has anyone ever seen a report that shows the estimated value of how many theft involving Hyip/ponzi sites have? What is the value of theft involving hyip/ponzi sites? Credit cards are also theft targets, this is not just a problem of the crypto world, it is a general problem. If there is money or anything of value, then scammers will be around. In the case of the crypto world people need to do more research on the projects that will invest money.
It is true that the issue of scam and theft target is a general phenomenon but it is no longer news that most crime committed through card theft can be trace and almost daily we hear of people being convicted of these crimes but scam emanated from crypto-investment and trading are difficult to trace and that is the reason most of those ICO Scammers are not caught. ones they scam investors, they delete and change the name of their telegram page and nobody heard from them again. Most HYIP/PONZI schemes are now using crypto as payment options to avoid them being caught
1285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End to the Craig Wright FUD in less than a month - 3rd Feb 2020 on: January 14, 2020, 02:42:33 PM
Since we all know he is not satoshi, and he isn't going to prove anything, well then it's safe to say that all the lies and deception is all about to end. I do not know why Craig keeps up with this, but it's actually good this stopped, while majority of bitcoiners ignore his fud, there are some who may fall for his lies and be deceived by his fake claims, let's see what his comes up with before the ultimatum date, though it surely wouldn't be anything tangible to prove he's Satoshi, because he is NOT.
I am just curious about what will happen to him after the judge discovers he cant prove that he is satoshi. is he going to be jailed ?. anyway, it is becoming interesting on much energy the world is putting into getting the real identity of satoshi. Hopefully, another person will still come out one day to tell the fibble tales of how he created bitcoin and went to hide somewhere.
1286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Projects and Bounty . Way forward?? on: January 09, 2020, 11:06:16 AM
You can not overcome scam in crypto. In fact this contribute a lot to what is keeping people away from investing in crypto. More than 90% of project listed on BTT for ICO or IEO in 2019 end up unsuccessful or turn to scam. These has caused serious problems denting the image of some top project managers here on BTT
1287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How i presently feel about bounties on: January 09, 2020, 11:01:34 AM
It seem you still have little experience in bounty hunting. Amount of bounty allocation no longer determine the payment success of a bounty. There are many ways now in which project dev cheat hunters. Apart from project that turn to scam, irrespective of the amount allocated. My experience has shown that some dev will end up frustrating hunters in order to give up pursuing their reward. Jinbi, Subaj etc are few of those that have done that with the hunters.
1288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Guys stop investing! Use your brain, please on: January 08, 2020, 03:31:38 PM
The most annoying thing is that many of the lifeless exchange platform have good score on Coinmarketcap especially the Latoken. Last year I wrote a long article warning people to stop investing or even trading on platform such as Dobi and Latoken because they are bad exchange platforms. Later, I discovered that the reason why many project patronise them for IEO is because they already have mutual agreement with themselves about bringing more traders and listing their project on their launchpad with little or no fee. This is how many of them operate including exmarket. When you check Latoken today, it is complete hub for dead and scam project token. Some token listed have not even gotten $10 trading volume since it has been listed.
1289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee backs out of his $1 million bitcoin prediction on: January 08, 2020, 03:13:26 PM
It is only people that new in crypto that pay attention to people like McAfee. I have lost regard in him ever since I saw that some project that turn out to be scam are using him to gain popularity. He is just one of those guys that are make furtune for himself that driving and making so many project dev get some investors during those period when people are always eager to look for direction for coin to invest in. Now that the bubble has bursted, he is giving prediction to gather much more needed attention.
1290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin still a people's currency? on: January 08, 2020, 03:07:40 PM
The key subject is "can fiat system collapse". Fiat currency is not like other ecurrencies in the sense every country has a particular paper currency which is developed based on the monetary policy of the country. This is different from bitcoin or any other type of ecurrency that is solely developed by individual or group of people within a decentralized framework. I have no doubt that crypto might witness more adoption in the future but I dont see it as a global currency.
1291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts about Bitcoin adoption on: January 08, 2020, 03:01:31 PM
It is true, the traditional card trasactions involves alot of processing steps, right from the merchant to the card manufacturer ( Mastercard, VISA etc.) and each stages require confirmation and authentication before completion. However, due to the centralized nature of the system, it is always possible to cancel or withdraw a transaction eventhough it has been completed before and that makes it possible to be able to lift money from customers card in case some fraudulent activities are observed. However, I believe this issue of centralization is what many people dont want because it does not conform to the original framework in which the bitcoin is build on.
1292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the price of Altcoin be good in 2020? on: January 07, 2020, 12:22:44 PM
No one knows the trend in 2020 but as long as the crypto investment remain static or decline, I don't think the price will improve. Sadly, the use of blockchain technology is growing every year and that may continue this year but many people are not interested in investing in crypto again. Hopefully if there is bull run, then crypto can witness little pump
1293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will any new project will do payment with ETH ? on: January 07, 2020, 12:12:23 PM
Are you sure you own this your account because I believe as a Senior Member in this forum you should know very well that most project make use of ERC 20  token and collect investment not only in ETH but BTC and many others. You make matter worst by thinking ETH price is very stable so that is d reason why they are accepting payment in ETH
1294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOs are still growing but very slowly on: January 07, 2020, 12:04:52 PM
I have heard of STO and I thought that 2019 will be the year for them but it seems not. There's an opinion that it will be the next big thing for crowdfunding but we will see if it's really the next thing that will gain the attention of the masses.

Do we have a link for the upcoming STOs for this year?
As far as people are not interested in investing in crypto like before, STO and the rest crowd funding means will continue to struggle. People don't even know much about STO not to talk about crowd funding. If you remember very well, IEO was the order of the day in 2019. Most project moved from ICO to IEO even though many still struggled because they weren't done on good exchange.
1295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why only 6.2 percent of American citizens own Bitcoin? on: January 06, 2020, 05:35:28 AM
I don't think 6.2% is bad maybe because of the percentage but the total amount of people is huge when you consider the  total population of america. As we all know most american prefer not even paper money but credit card in paying for goods and services and this has become part of their life. Bitcoin is not that easy to use because its not all merchant that accept crypto as payment processor compare to the credit card. Intact some of merchants accepting bitcoin before are now rejecting it due to the high volatility of the coin.
1296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want your Bticoin. Don't fall for this new scam, it's too real on: January 06, 2020, 05:28:19 AM
Indeed you are brave. Someone who is gullible will fall for this scam immediately he sees the amount of money he has won. This is part of the problem facing and affecting crypto. A lot of mad individual will just hide behind their phone and want to scam people via crypto knowing very well they can't be traced. How can someone you don't know what you and him to make money together. This is very common on telegram and I have witnessed the same thing before but the scammer want to use a fake exchange he created to scam me. He told me he has huge amount of money in his online exchange account but he can't withdraw it because crypto is banned in the country. I believe many BTT users must have experience this also on telegram.
1297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin experience in 2019 on: January 03, 2020, 12:44:15 PM
You belong to a group of people who will probably be the next bill gate if what happened in 2017 to become arise again. I believe you trust in crypto a lot. Getting rid of so many shit altcoins in my wallet is what I did in 2019. A lot of shit exchange pissed me off, especially DOBI. I have learn my lesson now and no matter how small I earn henceforth, I will keep investing in bitcoin and top altcoin. Just like you, I also took a long break especially from hunting due to issue of scam.
1298  Economy / Speculation / Re: I Bet Bitcoin Reaches $10k In the Next 5-7 Days! on: January 03, 2020, 12:34:31 PM
You are excited just the way many people are, after a long consistent drop in the price. Well it is normal to keep seen speculation like this and if this is achieved within 5-7 days as you have predicted, then it means we shall be witnessing a fresh and new rise in the and continuous debate about many reasons for the sudden rise in the media which I will also like after a long break Grin
1299  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Big invest in bitcoin on: January 03, 2020, 12:24:50 PM
If you think the current price of crypto is cheap is the major reason why you want to invest then I think you might be working toward a suicide mission. Firstly, you need to understand that crypto investment is very risky and you need to invest what you can afford to lose. I have witnessed in many cases where people became depressed and thinking of committing suicide just because they invest a huge amount of money gotten from the sales of their assets and pension money. Nobody knows what will happen to bitcoin this year. The time of buying when the price is deep has passed.
1300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be realistic for the world to run on cryptocurrencies? on: January 02, 2020, 12:56:16 PM
I do not think that is possible. If the whole world could not use the same currency for transaction, then why will that happen with crypto. Take for example, in West Africa, there has been motion that the countries that make up the region to introduce a single currency that can be spent across the region, but for a long time now, they have not been able to realize this due to individual country monetary policy. Here we are talking about crypto that some countries like China have even banned.
