1281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: DRIVER !!!!!!!!!!!HELP!!!!!!!!, .inf file not found after 2.6 removal! on: April 30, 2012, 11:45:09 PM
The machine I'm on now is a W7 machine that's running fine.  I've updated, rolled back, changed drivers. I've added many programs over the life of it, updated many, uninstalled when needed.  If you're installing/uninstalling programs as a daily occurrence, I have to wonder WTF you are doing.
I'll bet my hat that there is at least one annoyance or slowdown on your current machine that was not there within the first several months of installation, that you cannot for the life of you get rid of now.

And yes, installing and uninstalling programs is a daily occurrence. Why is that unusual? When I am done with something, I don't like it laying around cluttering things up, so I remove it.

If there's something that's slowing down my machine, I fix it.  That doesn't mean I wipe the whole damn thing and start fresh.

He teamviewered me in and it just installed properly.  He's rebooting right now to make sure everything is good again.
1283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: DRIVER !!!!!!!HELP!!!!!!!!, .inf file not found after 2.6 removal! on: April 30, 2012, 10:17:51 PM

1284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: DRIVER !!!!!!!!!!!HELP!!!!!!!!, .inf file not found after 2.6 removal! on: April 30, 2012, 10:11:49 PM

Bullshit.  W7 doesn't require a reinstall just because its been installed for 2 years.  It only needs a reinstall because of stupid users not knowing how to take care of things.
Bullshit. It does. There is no such thing as full uninstallation of an application, and garbage collection leaves practically permanent marks. If you do not reinstall your OS regularly, it will slow down, and eventually may even fail.

Bring arguments next time.

I did bring an argument, see above. Its bolded so you can find it easier.

As long as you know what you are doing, there is really very little that will screw up Win7 to the point where you have to reinstall it from scratch.

Exactly what do you mean by
garbage collection

and just for the record.. What's my day job you ask?  Managing networks with hundreds of Windows machines.
1285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: DRIVER !!!!!!!!!!!HELP!!!!!!!!, .inf file not found after 2.6 removal! on: April 30, 2012, 09:53:19 PM
I've been running win 7 ultimate on this rig for atleast two years now!!
That's the problem, right there. I know W7 is more reliable and all that, but after 2 years you sure are going to need to blow it away and start again. Take a screenshot of all your installed programs and of your start menu to make the move a bit easier.

1286  Economy / Lending / Re: 1200 BTC loan request - 10-40 % interest on: April 30, 2012, 05:51:44 PM
2 months - 10%
3 months - 15%
4 months - 20%
5 months - 25%
6 months - 30%
8 months - 35%
10 months - 40%

10% / 2 months = 5%/month
15% / 3 months = 5%/month
20% / 4 months = 5%/month
25% / 5 months = 5%/month
30% / 6 months = 5%/month
35% / 8 months = 4.375%/month
40% / 10 months = 4%/month

Kinda backwards.
1287  Economy / Lending / Re: 1200 BTC loan request - 10-40 % interest on: April 30, 2012, 05:37:43 PM
Hello my fellow lenders, I have sold $300 worth of Amazon gift cards to members of this forum without issue.  I've provided custom graphic design services to a few members on this forum.  My previous track record looks something like this:

Multiple 10 BTC loans from senbonzakura.
10 BTC loan from nebulus.
28 BTC loan from Tril.
78 BTC loan from Tril.
80 BTC loan from znort.

This loan is for a motorcycle, the amount of money I'll save on gas alone will amount to a couple hundred per month.  I'm not buying a motorcycle to perform stunts on or to ride drunk, so the chance of me dying before the loan's paid off is probably about 1/4000.  I'll still make sure you get your money, even if I'm dead.  I can't guarantee a term for the loan but I can guarantee the loan will be paid in full.  I will provide very favorable interest rates as this loan goes for longer. 10 months max.  My goal is to pay it back within 4 months and I don't expect to take more than 6 months.

2 months - 10%
3 months - 15%
4 months - 20%
5 months - 25%
6 months - 30%
8 months - 35%
10 months - 40%

If you'd prefer we can setup a monthly payment plan.

Thanks for your continued support and business.

To clarify, the 10 months - 40% is 40% over all 10 months or is it 40% per month?

LESSONS LEARNED:

RAID, dammit.
Daily full backup, and rsync only changes every few hours.
Spare hardware in hotsync, if there are a lot of users.
Prop hopping has gone the way of the dinosaur.

Glad to see people finally caught up with me.  What's even better is you're not ignored so maybe Goat will actually read it.
1289  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] XFX 5830 on: April 29, 2012, 09:22:13 PM
I haven't seen them for $70 for the past few months (on ebay). Most are roughly $100+ and whatever they are charging for shipping. And ebay never seems to have many sellers selling them. So if you are looking to grab 20-30 cards, it would take awhile to collect them from ebay.

oh, mine weren't on eBay.  They were all on this forum.  The prices on eBay aren't a direct correlation here because there aren't any fees here, no chargebacks, etc.

It runs ultra cool ultra even when filled with regular Singles.

So you've got some already made?  How about pictures instead of renders then?

1292  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] XFX 5830 on: April 29, 2012, 06:37:17 AM
Still selling for 23 BTC! It didn't sell on Ebay, so I relisted for another few days. It's up for grabs if any of you gentleman want to take it off my hands.

It amazes me that they are selling for $115.  I've bought all of mine for $70-80.  Props to you man.
1293  Other / Off-topic / Re: Coming soon... on: April 29, 2012, 05:04:10 AM

So, the configuration rendered is a Mini Rig. But it is a different product and therefore doesn't belong in one of the three threads about the Mini Rig. Right...

There is no need to spam the FPGA sub-forum with rendering announcements. We get it, BFL is figuring out how to actually build the Mini Rig.

But we can see this has Ethernets in it!  COMPLETELY different.

Can I browse Youtube on it while it hashes?!?
1294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [Bitarb] GET A FREE SHARE FOR HELPING! Bitcoin Arbitrage Bot Trading Fund on: April 29, 2012, 04:27:04 AM
There is a very easy way to obscure real interest in a company due to the anonymous nature of buyers.

I could start a listing and buy into my listing with multiple anonymous accounts thus making it look like there is huge interest in my company, right now I would assume that is what shakaru is doing since I find it absolutely impossible to believe so many retards still exist.

AFAIK, this venture is dead.

I own the rights to Coming Soon, please refrain from using it.

Well soon RG will have permission to speak with me and this will be sorted I'm sure. Thanks.

I've become rather curious of WHO actually leased the server and why they would be so hard to get a release of information from so RG can talk with you.

I'd venture to guess its netxshare since he's the one that seems to run the day to day things and I can't imagine he'd impede the conversation.
1299  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [102% TESTING] I want your hashing power! "Project #2" on: April 28, 2012, 06:09:13 PM
also plz dont get mad at me im just asking for the facts like a true answer did your service resale the server before the lease or no i mean there's alot of he said she said im just asking for cold facts.

as per my lawyer she said its just plain common sense if you break a lease agreement anything in said less agreement is null.

That isn't always the case.  Many contracts will have survival clauses.
