1301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the things to look for when buying Altcoin? on: August 04, 2021, 06:58:46 AM
Currently, if you want to buy any altcoin, it is very difficult. You can't choose an option quite easily. Also, the crypto market is currently volatile. In such circumstances if one wants to buy altcoin. So what should be the main focus?
I'm sick and tired of being exit scammed and rug-pulled by scam projects. I only invest in mineable projects with no dev or team wallets, like 0xMR and RVN. That way I can't get scammed again.
1302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why some are still loosing money in crypto on: August 04, 2021, 06:57:05 AM
if you have been in 2017 you experience ups and downs of the market, lots of gains but lots of losses in some, but even though you have been through those times, still you haven't learn to correct those mistakes, I think there are lots of things that changes your view regarding the market and this are the following:
  • You follow a persons advice through his social account post example is Elon musk
  • You still believe that a certain coin will come back from the dead even though you already knew its a scam
  • you just follow your instinct and never make single research
  • emotions still control you to decided
mostly I see people who are successful in crypto have spent lots of time, before they reach where they are, yes there are things that are associated with luck but don't just depend on it.
You won't lose money if you stop trading and put that money into promising cryptos that can be staked like Celo and NEAR. That way you make money even if there is a bear market.
1303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you make sure a projects funds are safe? on: August 04, 2021, 06:56:25 AM
Hey everyone,

How do you verify that a projects funds will not be stolen by the devs? Many projects hold ICO's or some other sort of sale to raise money for development and many have turned out to be scams where the dev steals the money.

What are you looking for to verify that they won't run away with the cash?

Any ideas on how a project can build trust with the community on this topic?

What would you like to see DAO projects do in the future that would help build trust and make sure funds are secure from theft?
There is no way to verify that your funds are safe if they are in someone else's custody. The safest investment is minable cryptos like 0xMR and Raven where there is no team wallet to exit scam or rug-pull with.
1304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is more green? on: August 04, 2021, 06:55:02 AM
Hello,
According to Elon Musk concern about the Bitcon energy consumption, which of TRON, EOS, Stellar Lumens, Nano, Chia, BitGreen and Cardano coins are good?

Thank you.
I know for a fact that XRP, HBAR, NEAR, and Celo are carbon neutral. IOTA has some of the lowest energy usage but I'm not sure about carbon neutrality.
1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum last forever? on: August 03, 2021, 01:06:39 PM
Ever since Ethereum was created in 2015, the whole crypto/Blockchain space improved in many ways that were never imagined. The ICO trend of 2017, and the current "De-Fi"/NFTs hype are all attributed to Ethereum's ever-rising popularity in the mainstream world. If it wasn't because of Ethereum, we wouldn't had a plethora of smart contract platforms to choose from. The crypto/Blockchain space would've been focused solely on finance, instead of serving as a hub for decentralized applications.

It's been 6 years since ETH came into inception, and now the smart contract platform is the second-largest blockchain network in the world. Some people compare ETH to BTC because of its focus on decentralization unlike any other cryptocurrency on the market today. As of this date, Ethereum has a large number of miners and nodes keeping the blockchain alive and healthy. If ETH continues to grow, it could live alongside Bitcoin for many years. But we all know that nothing lasts forever.

What's your opinion on this? Will Ethereum last forever? Or will it eventually die? Do you think it'll retain its place as the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap for long? If not, why? Do competitors stand a chance against ETH? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
Ethereum will continue even without ETH 2.0 with staking because Aurora on NEAR protocol scales Ethereum with sharding right now.
1306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in cryptocurrencies. on: August 03, 2021, 01:05:32 PM
Some say cryptocurrency is a low risk investment but high return and also does this digital currency have a fundamental value so that it is feasible for investment?
What do you think ?
You can make a lot more staking cryptos like NEAR and Ethereum than you can by leaving it in a savings account. You tell me if it's worth it.
1307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: research for new altcoin on: August 03, 2021, 01:04:43 PM
I plan to create a new altcoin. What features do you like for it? Some ideas I have:

- eco-friendly, so proof-of-stake for the consensus algorithm, like WAVES and Cardano already uses, and Ethereum plans to use
- quantum safe, like QRL
- high number of transactions per second, like one million per second as Cardano can do
- smart contracts, for creating your own tokens, assets, apps etc.
- low transaction fee

I also want to distribute it to as many people as possible, ideally to every person on Earth. How could I do this? Is there some altcoin who did this? How did they manage to prove the identity of a person, so that not one person creates a bot for it and gets lots of shares? This should be the coin for the 99%, and not just for the 1% rich investors Smiley

Another feature should be a voting mechanism. For example when a conventional signing algorithm is used instead of a quantum safe algorithm (for example because otherwise the high transaction rate wouldn't be possible), and the algorithm needs to be changed when quantum computers become available. Then there could be some proposals, and people can vote for one proposal, weighted by their coins. This will allow transparent democratic decisions for the development process, implementing what the majority wants.

The voting mechanism could be also used for example if there was a security problem or bug, and to decide if it needs a hard-fork to rollback the blockchain, like with the Ethereum DAO disaster. But instead of just a few people deciding it, it would be decentralized as well. Such bugs happen and if the majority thinks it is a good idea to undo it, then this would be the right thing to do. The voting mechanism could be just a smart contract.

Other features like NFTs etc., can be implemented with smart contracts as well.
You will need to hire a blockchain engineer to do all of that, it won't be cheap. Your best bet would be to fork NEAR or Stellar and add quantum resistance or consider forking cellframe and using a L2 to speed up transactions.
1308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will blockchain networks with zero incentives survive in the long term? on: August 03, 2021, 01:02:38 PM
Many cryptocurrencies these days offer attractive rewards to miners and stakers, in order to keep their Blockchain networks alive and healthy for the foreseeable future. Incentivization makes the crypto/Blockchain space more secure against malicious actors. Yet, there are a few "blockchain networks" which have no incentives at all. To my knowledge, there are two cryptocurrencies which fit such description. One of them is XRP and the other one is Stellar Lumens (XLM). There are no incentives for holders and node operators of both coins, putting the Blockchain at risk. If there are no rewards, then how will XRP and Stellar remain secure against external attacks? That's something I've been asking myself, since most people support crypto only if they receive something in return. Almost nobody will support a coin for free these days.

Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
Iota has no transaction fees and is doing well as a project. NEAR uses a portion of gas fees to pay DApp creators, which promotes development and covers server costs.
1309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best token for staking right now? on: August 03, 2021, 01:01:12 PM
NEAR has great APY, Celo has half the APY as NEAR but I'm staking anyway because I know it will be big.
1310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano (ADA), The Public Chain for Smart Contract will be Launched Soon on: August 03, 2021, 01:00:07 PM
If you do a deep dive and research NEAR protocol, you will see that it is more technologically advanced than Cardano and it works right now, not in a few years.

I've been exit scammed and rug-pulled by devs several times so now so I only invest in mineable projects with no dev wallet, like Raven and 0xMonero. Those are the safest options.
1312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how can i find alt coins before they explod on: August 02, 2021, 03:33:58 AM

Easey, use skyward finance.

TLDR

NEAR scales Ethereum with Aurora, look it up. Horizontal sharding and smart contracts running on top of smart contracts for the win.
1314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Targets 2021! on: August 02, 2021, 03:31:59 AM
10k, but the returns for NEAR will be much higher than Ethereum. The staking rewards are better too (if you don't have 32 ETH).
1315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best token for staking right now? on: August 02, 2021, 03:30:34 AM
Huh Huh Huh
Where is APY better. What have you heard about Near and whether it is worth staking this token
NEAR is the best crypto to stake because it has the highest potential for returns and a 11.5% apy. If you are talking about farming, the best returns are with ALCX. Cake was a good option but the farming rewards are being reduced. You can get more cake by buying cake monster or switch to farming xBoo on Fantom.
1316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what are the things you are doing right now on: August 02, 2021, 03:27:57 AM
Since the market goes down and BTC is now at 31,000, what are the things you are doing besides trading, for sure everyone is measuring and looking at the current market and waiting were to have an entry, do you still trade or do some task, lang play to earn games in crypto?
I myself, still do some research for coins that i like, making small trades and invest on coins which i think will give me some profit along the way, so that i will have extra money to buy coins,
how about you?

Stake cryptos like NEAR and Celo and you won't have to worry about short term price movements.

NEAR Protocol will survive because instead of giving all of the transaction fees to validators, it gives 30% to the DApp creator the user is interacting with. This fee supports development on the blockchain and covers server costs.
1318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggestions for Long-Term Investment on: August 02, 2021, 03:25:51 AM
According to the present market scenario, several good currencies, such as XRP, TRX, and others, are decreasing due to various causes.I recommend investing at least $10,000 in XRP, TRX, and other similar currencies, since these coins will soon yield a significant profit margin.
My long term investments are XRP and 0xMR.
1319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will long-term investments in the crypto space provide any guarantee? on: August 01, 2021, 03:04:09 AM
Aside from Bitcoin (BTC), will long-term investments in the crypto space provide any guarantee?
Of course my question is based on some experiences that occur in the market.
My observations of crypto market conditions, such as there are groups or people who do things that cause the price of other coins to only last for a moment.

Please have a discussion that makes all participants gain new knowledge.
stop trying to get rich quick and invest in stakeable coins like NEAR or Celo. This way you make money wether the market goes up or down.
1320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time estimate for Binance Exchange Listing Application Review on: August 01, 2021, 03:03:22 AM
Hello,

I was wondering if there was anyone with experience listing their own token on Binance who can shed light on this topic. Does anyone with experience know how the time estimate between your application submission and Binance approval for listing your own project on their exchange?
hahhaha, I hope you have a million dollars to pay CZ because that's the going rate.
