Of late the price of Bitcoin has been going back up with it's current price at $26k (wonder why it didn't stay at $27k till this morning 🤔) and to me I see it as a possible step for something big to come, maybe before the end of this month, who knows this month might be better than last month.
With how the price has changed its shape of letting go of $25k for almost 3 weeks now I believe it might give us that screamer of hitting $30k in the next 2 weeks, but we should just keep our fingers crossed because it can still go back to $25k which is not healthy in the market.

It is a risky job if you treat it as your main job. There are real life traders and they know that doing this as their main source is hard.
But with experience that they've gathered all over these years, the risk seems to be cute to them anymore because of that built up that they've gone through.
I agree that for newbies, it's best for them to stay as holder first before they commit into a real life day trader. They also have an option to remain investors and holders.

Everything in life is all about risk like I always say, is best you take it or leave it. Those who take risk I see them as those who wants to make it in life so in trading if you're scared of taking risk I don't see you making any profit, instead you'd be stock at a place like a stagnant water, no progress.

Not stepping out of your comfort zone means you won't grow and achieve success in life. This is an overall view not only in trading since if you stay scared of not taking risks then you won't be achieving what you dream of but that doesn't mean that you will take risks without bases. You should have calculated riskslike if this fails there is still a backup plan to make it successful or this would be a high percentage of success.

There are still others who prefer to stay in the comfort zone and there are no problems with it but if you don't want to stay stagnant take those calculated risks and see what will happen.

No doubt about what you said but the thing is that some persons do things without thinking or calculating or even weighing if the possible outcome will yield something positive, they just do it because is good or they know how to take risk, that's foolishness.
Before taking any bold step, make sure it's well discussed with "yourself" and if you're not ok with what you think you can as well discuss it with friends, and there's no way you won't get a better advise from someone who has an experience about the issue at hand, so when you're in the risky past you won't feel left out or see it as something new.

Those who are deep into trading are never afraid of the negative aspect of trading is like they expect the bad side of it more than they expect the positive side of it, so taking risk is not new to them I mean real traders, so if you don't have the guts is best you learn from those who knows more than you in the business.

Like they always say "you don't know what you have until you lose it". This has to do with Manchester United and their ball playing goalkeeper Onana, I believe by now 99% of United fans would agree with me that they don't have what it takes to secure the goal post and that De Gea was the only one who knows how to cover both the goal post and the defense too.
Instead of getting a goalkeeper who keeps the ball from getting into the net they went to get a goalkeeper who picks the ball from the net.
Onana has 11goals conceded in the last 5 games with just 1 clean sheet and someone would wake up in the morning and say Manchester United did right by letting De Gea go? No way. I think this is just the beginning and Man UTD will regret it and it might cause some division in the locker room.
Who's better between both goalkeeper, Onana or De Gea?
I'll leave that to the United fans.

Finally, I finished the university and gained PR but the money that I have spent in all of these makes me cry every day. If it weren't my parents, I would invest in bitcoin in 2016-2017, I would be a millionaire today. I totally missed 2020's boom because of my situation but now is the time in my life where I stand on my feet, not strongly but I stand and manage to live and save some money. As I see, there are guys on this forum since 2015, they are here still today, so I want to know your opinion and want to hear your advice about Bitcoin. As we all know, halving is coming. Should I invest my savings in Bitcoin? Or should I lean towards altcoins this time? Which one? I don't have health problems and don't have to worry about job security but it would make me sad to lose all the savings but life in Canada is getting expensive every fucking day.

I don't know if I should say is a shame but why cry over spilled milk? Is never your fault that you was young and couldn't make a decision that concerns your life that would stand, but that's by the way.
You can still start from scratch again and before you know it you get to where you always wanted to be (a billionaire ) because the price of Bitcoin at this point isn't too positive that it will remain at an elevative stage like going up.
So I'd advise you shouldn't feel bad for going to Canada and doing what you went to do, you're done and now that you're a grown man take advantage of the market price, let the past die off your mind and you can make it big, also expect the price to be at $30+ any time soon.
1326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: September 18, 2023, 08:25:04 AM
Last night game between Madrid vs Real Sociedad was just surprising to me at halftime, thought I was going to see Madrid dominating every moment of the first half but it wasn't what I was expecting. Really love the way the visitors approach the game and if not for that offside that chopped off the second goal we would have been talking about a different ball game with the away team leading by 2 goals to nil at halftime.
But the Madrid side just waited to absolve the pressure till the end of the first half and it was a shocker for Real Sociedad, they never expected what hit them.
Well from all I saw I think the Madrid are not too strong in that game since some of the players returned from international break and it might continue, like Madrid to be weak in their next game. To me I don't see them as a threat for now.
1327  Other / Meta / Re: Without merit... on: September 18, 2023, 06:56:22 AM
What's up with all of these threads about merits?  Are people starting to become concerned with ranking up again and earning more money?  That cynical little devil that lives on my shoulder is starting to tell me something's up.

This isn't about making money or ranking up, was just curious about it and if that's how it seems to you, I never have that in mind for ones. I mean ranking up and earning, nah, that's not the idea..

Quote
And OP, this forum has existed for most of its life without the merit system or any method for members to "like" posts.  So I'd say even if the merit system wasn't created, we'd all be just fine.  On top of that, everything you wrote has been discussed to death already--across many threads and who knows how many years.  So please lock this thread, because it's going to turn into a shitposter magnet and we don't need threads like this in Meta.

Well you've said it all, and I too don't want anything that would attract any ill idea of this post or even seen as a shitpost...

I really appreciate you all for your contribution, comments and all that... Let's say have gotten the info needed. Was just being curious per say.
1328  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should we rely on prediction? on: September 18, 2023, 06:40:33 AM

This predictions I am seeing in the above screenshot which I took from the website op shared in his post; I would say is the author of that article trying as much as he can to be very conservative, that is; he tried as much as possible not to exaggerate which I think is a good thing, since he doesn't want to take the hope of his readers too high like several other authors I read and watch on YouTube do.

From what I saw on that image above is just too messy for me and I can't imagine the price of Bitcoin getting to that amount I mean $21k this year, it should be higher like $28k.
The author really did his best not to make it look too hopeful unlike some who say something more positive like "price of Bitcoin will rise to $40k before the end of this month of September" and it will trigger the hope of some members of this Forum to start jumping for glory, but is not suppose to be so. Those dropping these predictions should always use "it may" or "I wish" whenever they're dropping an article or a quote concerning BTC price, that would help a little.

Anyways, predictions just as it's called, will ever remain prediction, who ever will believe completely what is predicted then does not know what the word "prediction" means or stands for , I will advice such person to find out what prediction mean in the dictionary.

Come on, if you have a way of breaking it down for us why not tell us what "prediction" means in a low man knowledge, and don't keep some of us in the dark. I don't have a dictionary so tell us so that some of us who doesn't know would learn and stop depending on predictions when it has to do with Bitcoin trading, you know.
1329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 18, 2023, 06:26:53 AM
When Tottenham lost their most valuable player Harry Kane to Bayern Munich without getting any proper replacement for his position i felt it was going to be a tough season for them and i even concluded then that they'll be very poor this season depending on Richarlison as their main striker, but they've cleared my doubt this season and have been so impressive this season even suprisenly won Manchester United very comfortably.

Seriously I never saw Tottenham getting this far as in terms of playing without Kane, that's the thing with depending on one player all through your stay as a manager and I believe the current Spurs manager didn't put Harry Kane first just as other coaches did in their time with Spurs.
Tottenham Hotspur are still getting it together and those previous wins isn't what we should use to rate how good they are this season but let's see in the next 3 games if they can keep up that habit of winning.

There's nothing impressive in Tottenham, they beat Manchester United which currently a weak club, they were struggling to beat Sheffield United, their past winning against Bournemouth and Burnley were nothing since all of them are weak clubs.

I'm not a UTD fan but you see Manchester United as a weak club? I don't think so, Man UTD are struggling to get their feet back on track and they shouldn't be labelled as a week club.
Every team have to take advantage of the condition their opponent are at the moment and that's what Tottenham did to those clubs you call "weak clubs" and let's leave sentiment out of this, Spurs was impressive in those games, because if they weren't they would have lost against UTD or even that Sheffield UTD game, that game was too hot for them to handle compare to that one against Man UTD.
With how we all know Tottenham to be, as terrible and annoying in games we should be disgusted with their style of play but this season it was massively impressive.

Quote
The interesting thing will happen in the next 2 matches where he need to face Arsenal and Liverpool, I bet Tottenham will lose in the next 2 matches.

It seems you're waiting for Spurs to fail with this high momentum they are now? Well that's your say but give them those two games and I bet you, they might turn things around.
Arsenal on the other hand are still trying to avoid mistakes as of last season so I believe the pressure would be on the Gunners if they face Tottenham.
And Liverpool haven't settled after losing much players especially from their midfield, look at how they manage to play as a unit and sometimes they play like they've lost control, forget the fact that they win they games coming from behind, and all that, I'll tell you for free that Liverpool are still struggling and they're still trying to adapt, so if all these continue I see Tottenham beating any of those two clubs (Arsenal and Liverpool).

The way you guys respond to this post is really helpful but we all know that Bitcointalk doesn't have fixtures to react to post  just as @SmartGold1 said and I still say it that I see merit as something to tell that a post is informative, constructive and of quality as the case maybe. Now let's remove merit out from the equation and I know some of you may say the post is of good quality by the comments quote and all that just as @BitcoinGirl.Club rightly said, how can you appreciate a good post?
Ok let's say we now use merit to indicate or should I say rate a post as informative and educative, are you telling that we just use quote and maybe replies to rate a post, without merit?
1331  Other / Meta / Re: Without merit... on: September 17, 2023, 08:20:27 PM
Someone posts are directly proportional to merit received by the person, although there can be some partial reasons that can make some people with low effort to have more merits, but merit is the reflection of quality posts as long as this forum is.

That's when we have to make use of merit to rate a post.
But see it this way, without merit how can you rate a post?
because with merit distribution in this Forum that's how we rate quality post...
Without merit is there any other way of rating a post?
1332  Other / Meta / Without merit... on: September 17, 2023, 08:09:09 PM
Have been thinking about this Merit and quality post, like how it works, if the both of them work hand in hand or something.
Because to me, merit speaks more about someone's post to be a quality post and you guys would agree with me.
No need to say much but I'd like to know, without merit how can YOU rate a post as a quality post or how can you appreciate a quality post?

Napoli played out a 2-2 draw and is never a surprise to me and this has to do with what exactly? Fatigue or because they have the champions league at hand?
In football there's no excuse for failure and they were lucky to get that last goal to level the game up. I don't think I'd see the champions to be in this state of getting a draw at this early stage of the season, that's if they get to play against Inter Milan that's not taking it easy with any opponent at the moment is this kind of play we're going to expect?
I expected the Napoli side to never drop point or get to share point against smaller teams because at this point the competition is getting hotter and if they can't keep up then I don't see them defending the title.
I had predicted this in another series A thread and it was right according to my prediction that Napoli after losing at home when hosting Lazio failed to secure a win even on the contrary Napoli was defeated by Lazio and from Napoli defeat I had doubts about betting on the underdog because even though Napoli last season were the holders Scudetto title but I will not easily believe in this season and prefer to fight on both teams scoring because Genoa has the advantage at home on the one hand. Napoli has a decline in performance in its flagship player Osimhen who did not score in yesterday match.
It is a little doubtful whether Napoli can win the title again this season because up to now Napoli have not shown any improvement or in fact it is time for Inter to be at the top of the standings. a draw does look bad for a top team.

Is it that they're losing form? Because if you check from last season's performance they're not in this kind of situation where they lose and draw the next game.
To me I still find it difficult to understand why Napoli are feeling relaxed like they've won the title already, at this point have come to a conclusion that Napoli won't finish 2nd or 3rd on the log this season.
1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 17, 2023, 07:27:49 AM
Today's game was really tough for Manchester United and is like the international break shouldn't have come to an end for some of the fans. Being a United fan is really worrisome but the fans won't admit it that they have a problem and it has been spotted in today's game.
Ten Hag was just having a bad day with the way Brighton players was running round the pitch, taking care of business and at some point I was thinking that it was Brighton who was Manchester United because they played very well and I could see the midfield of Man UTD being taken from the home team.
In that encounter I believe that a true UTD fan would tell that their problem is the midfield. Is not about signing players from different league is about making use of them getting that unity between the players in the locker room.
Disappointing results from Manchester United, after dominating the game in the first 7 to 10 minutes I expected United will record a goal within this period but they failed to put their advantage to good use. And Brighton who were the visitors converted one to finish the first half and later concluded the game in a 3-1 victory. Certainly this wasn’t the kind of results the club would want at the beginning of the league but there is still time for improvement.

Yes indeed it was a very poor performance coming from a club that we all expected more, something big to happen in their favor (but not me though). United has never had it that they can beat Brighton that has shown the football world that they have what it takes to be at the top level.
Imagine a team like Brighton playing a more entertaining football more than Manchester United, and I ask, why did Manchester United qualify for the UCL in the first place?
With their performance against Brighton you'd agree with me that they're not ready and they're going to find it hard to survive that group.
UTD have no force and they lack so much composure in that game, the coach was just standing there watching his team being brutalized by a club that never had that coordination of controlling the ball for 30mins last 3 seasons ago and now they are better than UTD, football has changed hands for sure.

Quote
I had hoped to see Amrabat today, is he also injured or still not fit enough?

I think he had an injury when they signed him from the Italian club Florentine, and what difference will his presence make?
He can't change a thing because if that team I mean Man UTD, if they don't take care of those affected positions and get things together they won't go far this season.
Just had to say it, Manchester United don't have a team and I don't know if is pride that's causing much issues at the club but I know for sure that the coach is to blame for some part of the failures or poor performance of this season.

@Sexylizzy2813 as a Manchester United fan I’m sympathetic towards Ten Hag as too many first team player’s are out due to injury but what I didn’t understand was why in the world didn’t he start any wingers. Furthermore if that decision wasn’t crazy then playing Fernandes out of place as a CB was and secondly allowing Rashford to be so selfish is also effecting team and thus I feel that he needs stop over analysing and stick to the basics.

First and foremost this is the English Premier League and not the Eredivisie where he just play how many matches and win the trophy back to back to back, ETH is finding it hard to get the players together and they're not making any effort to upgrade their style of play.
Manchester United don't have time to say they're rebuilding the team, is not United and ETH should stop that crazy experiment of playing players off positionq, is not going to work.
As for the big man Rashford, what's happening to him is expected, being selfish is something he has been trying not to display for long but when the results ain't coming what do you expect him to do? So to me I won't blame Rashford.

Bournemouth vs Chelsea

Actually Chelsea want to bounce back through an this match but apparently it will hard to be realized and after international break confirmed 2 more players who got injured and they are Moises Caicedo and Malo Gusto but still no certain news regarding their conditions whether they will absense or not and if Malo Gusto will not be available to today then Chelsea have no real players on right back position because previously Reece James already got injured

Hold on, what's the new excuse again with the Chelsea squad? Injury problem again?
Chelsea are going to be at their best in today's encounter no matter what it takes because I don't see Pochettino coming to Chelsea to start thinking on how to survive with players who are prone to injury, is never going to help the team and the manager.
That's the problem of rushing into the market and getting players who easily visit the hospital bed due to injury, I just feel for the Blues because they're only going to play less this season that's to say no Europe games which they're suppose to enjoy till next season that they might go for either champions league or UEL but they have to suffer with injury issues, is not just healthy for the new manager.

Quote
Pochettino have to thinking hard because he have not much options for his strategy today but the duet between Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Jackson seems will be available to played today and actually Bournemouth conditions is more worst that Chelsea that this team so far only able to gets 2 draw from 4 matches and if Chelsea can performing well just like they beat Luton few weeks ago i think 3 points will belong to them

Pochettino have to come out with his A game if he wants to beat this struggling Bournemouth team and I don't know how he wants to do it but all I want is that massive 3pt, Chelsea needs that point no matter what and is never going to be that easy from how I'm picturing the whole situation.
Bournemouth is a team that loves to have as many players on the midfield than the attack and it will be Chelsea's number 1 problem in this encounter.
The only way Chelsea are going to surpass this defensive Bournemouth side is by getting in players that will do more of the running like Sterling if not I think it will end in a draw.
1337  Other / Meta / Re: Use less (No subject) in MP, please on: September 17, 2023, 03:13:56 AM
OP that's true but at the same time, not everybody cares if the message comes with a title or not, they just open and glance through.
I agree with OP here. I would like to see a subject in all my PMs as well. It literally takes a few seconds to write one. It can get especially frustrating if you are talking to the same person on different subjects, and at one point in the future you have to go back to check something. Imagine dozens of PMs without a title where you have to search for that exact message that contains the information you need. I would rather that I can figure out what we talked about based on the title of the PMs. But that also means that the original PM sender has to be professional enough to write a correct subject and not something like 'Hi' or 'Yo'. That doesn't help anyone.

I sometimes do delete some crazy PMs (like who have the time to PM me anyway) that I find to be uninteresting, I only do that when I'm bored.
Some people sees it to a lot of stress to even indicate why they're sending a PMs and from all being said I think the only way to make it come to stay is for every message been sent must have a title, like without you the sender not placing the title of the message it won't go through, unless you state your reason (like the title) that message won't be delivered. Let there be something like "message not delivered, title must be stated" . It has to be compulsory that you fill in that "no subject" space.
1338  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What could be the problem here? on: September 17, 2023, 02:52:40 AM
What do we think could be the cause for a trader that has been experiencing a win and lose repetitive occurrences in his trades.

Like he places a trade today he makes profit and the next day when he places another trade he would lose it, whereas the next day he then makes another profit and lose it the next. And this happen been repeating for more than a month.

Has anyone had such experience? If yes! Then how was or could it be solved or stopped?
The situation is getting psychological.

It all boils down to the trader and his strategy, as a trade I don't think you have to always be on the same path of trading or using same style. Like you having a plan, different method of carrying out your day to day trading activities, if you find out that the loss and profit has a reoccurrence (in a way that's not favourable) then give it a pause and ask yourself what are you not doing well, if possible give it a break but not for too long just to figure out the problem.
I believe there's no trader that's going up and down in every trading he makes, there must be a change so if that happens is left for the trader to make amends and the problem might good away if it's handled properly.

Mostly newbies who join the forum are here for bounties. After a couple of month as newbies they realize that they need to rank up in order to increase their earnings. This is the time when they become frustrated as it is not so easy to rank up here when compared to other forums. Those who are not here for bounties do know that with time and knowledge they will easily rank up and use the earning opportunity here to accumulate Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency.
When I was reading some content I understand that sometimes ago people doesn't know what is signature campaign and rendering service on their own and earn, they only focused on bounties because of bounties pays and that demoralized some people not to make a contribution that will favour the community, so they focused on bounties

The same people who go about getting themselves on bounties are the same people who come out feeling depressed as if they were forced to out of their own will to join bounty campaign or whatever is called and at some point they start asking questions like is sig campaign paying or how can they join a SIG campaign, sometimes things doesn't seem to work out the way they planned it.
When some of them have it in mind that they have to be paid I don't think they'll have their community in mind (desperation is the major cause of these things) like some don't even know what goes on in their community but mention anything bounty they're up for it.
1340  Economy / Economics / Re: How to avoid over expenses and have discipline on: September 17, 2023, 02:22:43 AM
One major way i cut down my expenses as a single person staying alone is by purchasing enough foodstuffs and provisions at home, that way i always have food to cook and it saves me the stress of buying already made food from outside which is obviously more expensive than cooking at home.

Is that really going to help you reduce how you spend?
Are you trying to tell me that you only eat and eat with out paying bills, changing your clothes or even going out with friends?
That alone has made you to spend more.
If you're reducing how you spend as a single guy as you say, why not check how much you spend in a month and you slash it into two, save the other half and make use of the other half.
Because from all you said is like you eat a lot and that alone would make you think of your stomach more than things around you. Single guys do think of spending much on themselves just to look more attractive, so your plan isn't going to help you out.
