The Super Eagles lost the finals to the host because of so many errors from the players and most especially the coach, lack of tactics no plan B right from the beginning of the nations cup, we're just playing and winning base on hope (no be by sabi).
We have the players but the way and manner the of the Eagles coach José Vítor dos Santos Peseiro used these players is just not right, is like playing a natural right footer on the left and you see him struggling to handle the ball and getting that quick crosses.
With all these mistakes from José Vítor dos Santos Peseiro, the glass house still want to give him another contract and I ask myself are they even seeing these errors and lack of strategy from him that they want him to continue?
To me is best we find someone with something brighter than having him continue his job.

I wouldn’t say the coach actually got it right in his tactics at the final but talking about the entire competition, if there was an award for the best coach it will definitely be him. Look we all focus on the attack prowess we Have and to be sincere it is by far the best in the whole of Africa if we look at it base on individual quality. But see that attack wasn’t winning matches or converting chances for us and that was a problem coming to the AFCON tournament, the first game the manager played a fiat 433 which is the most widely used formation but without attackers converting there chances and also wingers tracking back it causes us goals and the manager resulted into playing wingbacks and I don’t need to tell you that it profited us in the tournament.

Going into the final I will have said he needs to change the tactics a bit, because it was obvious teams started finding out how to bring out our and stretch our wingbacks against South Africa we got lucky. But why i wouldn’t Blame him is it takes a bold person to change his winning tactics in the final. But right in the second half he should have gone for a fiat back four after we conceded but he didn’t That was my only problem with him.

If you ask me, I would say he deserves a contract extension because this is his first tournament and we went to the finals. See if we can build on this momentum, we will definitely go far. So it is still early to ditch him. Moreover who do you want to hire, the NFF doesn’t pay the players and coaches their due wages so which decent coach will come to us  Grin

We have the best attackers but as a coach is it not for him to make use of his fire power? Some coaches may have the best wingers and you see them urging them to make some crazy runs to get the ball to the lonely attacker to get a goal, our own case was different, the coach never made use of his strength, commanding this wingers to always commit oppositions and get the ball in the 18 yard box, doing that always will make defenders in the opposing side to be very busy scared of not commiting them.
To say the truth, there was nothing special about our team in that finals and I wonder how we even got a goal in the first place. Fine we finally got that goal and you could see Ivory coast players were all uncomfortable, making unnecessary errors, they were all  disorganized to the fullest but we couldn't add more pressure, if it had happened that way I believe we would have won that game.
If you ask me between Santos Peseiro and Gernot Rohr who is better, I'd choose Gernot Rohr because the man has things to offer (rebuilding of the Super Eagles) and his play pattern is outstanding to me, he always go with a plan B in any game the Super Eagles find themselves, I won't agree with this new contract for Santos Peseiro.

Manchester City are hosting Chelsea in this game week which every football fans won't want to miss and this fixture would be more interesting than the Manchester derby if you ask me. The last encounter at Stanford Bridge ended in a dramatic draw with so many goals and the game was just outstanding. I never expected to see the Blues to play with so much high spirit to match the Citizens in that game and I bet you, Pep Guardiola never saw that coming at all and I must say Chelsea was the better side in that encounter.
Is going to be a tough game and I believe Liverpool and Arsenal fans would be on the side of the Blues cheering them to make City lose all 3pts for them to have a breathing space. With how the Chelsea side are performing no one would expect a win but a draw, to me the visitors (Chelsea) are up to cause a great upset for the top 4 teams, make them lose without achieving anything, well that's how teams who performs poorly behave.
I expect to see another goal fiesta but saying the Citizens are going to win I'm not perfectly sure because I see them having a bigger battle in the remaining games at hand. I know this is the period where we get to see a ruthless Man City just like last season and the season before, is like a habit but I believe that I don't see Manchester City going unbeaten in their remaining games at hands, things are going to get messy for the Citizens. Let's see how it will end up with Chelsea, not an easy one despite the fact that the Blues are in a poor form.

Iwobi couldn't help it but he had to delete everything on his social media accounts and was planning to retire from national team (I know some of you would say let him go😁) as of two days back, but yesterday the sporting director (If I'm not mistaken) talked to him and hopefully things might turn around for good. That same yesterday our president gave the Super Eagles (those who played and those who warmed the bench) lands, houses and a title, the players will have to enjoy that while some of us have the energy to pour threats, for me is not cool.
I do not like the cyber bullying that Iwobi is receiving. Cancel culture is good but trying to cancel Iwobi and discredit his efforts no matter how minimal it was during the AFCON is just a total no-no for me. It isn't easy to be picked to join the A-team and even have play time. I consider cyber bullies as cowards and nothing more than that. Because it is only a coward that would sit anonymously behind his computer, laptop, electronic device to harass another person. There is always room for constructive criticism but bullies should be dealt with. Nigerians should do better.

Bro just remember that this is Nigeria and for you to call those who bullied Iwobi a coward don't forget that they can still come out to say it to his face, watch our local league and see what's happening to players who messed up. I'm not in support of this act but let's know the truth.
To be honest Iwobi in question didn't play anything impressive in this concluded AFCON, all anger and attention should be channeled to the coach of the Super Eagles because he knows this player (Iwobi) is not contributing anything productive to the team and he still start him in almost every game in the AFCON, that's who they (the bullies) should be pissed at and not Iwobi.
To me, Iwobi plays like someone who hasn't played football before, no confidence and I feel he has to go back and watch some of the videos and maybe see where he needs to improve or better still seek advise from our own legend, I mean his uncle Jay Jay Okocha, who knows he might be better than him (Okocha) in the nearest future.

I just pray this Bayern Munich game don't end in a draw, like I don't understand what's going on with the German side, no shots on target. This is the first time I'm experiencing this from the Bayern Munich side, even if they'll win the second leg, to me I don't feel they have what it takes anymore to even qualify to the next round.

Tuchel has made Bayern Munich look bad. I have been saying it since he got hired. Hiring Tuchel was a bad decision. Firing Nagelsmann was a bad decision, but they made a bad decision worse by hiring Tuchel.
I don't understand how his team plays but they're not convincing. He excelled with Chelsea and won the Champions League but I guess that was a purple patch. Tuchel's best football was at PSG and even there he had a lot of loopholes.

Tuchel will get sacked at Bayern Munich at the end of the season. The only way he can keep his job is if he wins the Champions League and I doubt that would happen. Then there's the fact that he's 5 points behind in the league. It's not looking good for him at all.

The Barbarians alone knows why they fired Nagelsmann, he had a wonderful record and again the Bayern Munich board knows best that's why they went for Tuchel, for me not that they wanted him (Thomas Tuchel) is just that they were just desperate to get a coach who has been in the final of the champions league before (with a good record) and Tuchel is the available man for the job. You shouldn't blame the coach of the side of their failure of not doing well and remember he was the one who got them last season league trophy.
Tuchel has been doing well in all clubs he went to except for Dortmund, coming to Chelsea where he got fired has been a mystery to me, because I can't figure out why a man who won a club one of the biggest trophy in Europe (Champions League) got fired, he's a good coach and I don't see why he should be blamed for Bayern Munich carelessness this season, is just time for the bigger boys to take a bow for the other clubs to take control of the league for ones, that's what's happening.
But if you ask me if Tuchel can win the UCL (for Bayern) or even get to the finals I'll say no way because they're not the Bayern of 2 seasons ago and I like it this way for the smaller clubs to also compete for the title not only the big boys.

Lazio have been extremely good in this game, and now they (Lazio) have the upper hands in this encounter with a red card I feel this is going to be a lot more easy for Lazio till full time. Never expect Bayern to play this bad in this round of the champions league so I think they're gently losing that force of winning games back to back and I don't think they'll make it to the semis.

Yeah it definitely is exciting but this over excitement of holders not patient enough is what has caused drastical increase in fees. Take a look;

FROM

  • fastestFee: 11 sat/vB
  • halfHourFee: 11 sat/vB
  • hourFee: 11 sat/vB
  • economyFee: 8 sat/vB
  • minimumFee: 4 sat/vB

  • fastestFee: 53 sat/vB
  • halfHourFee: 48 sat/vB
  • hourFee: 42 sat/vB
  • economyFee: 10 sat/vB
  • minimumFee: 5 sat/vB

In just a space of about 6 hours just because people are rushing to move their Bitcoins to exchanges and quickly make profit off it. However the fees will go back to normal though once the rush has subsided.

I agree with you but what do you expect from those who are not patient? The excitement has to be but my major concern is how badly it's still affecting business (transaction fee), things hasn't been the same ever since transaction fee went crazily high, is like a nightmare that won't come to an end.
Sometimes is like it should just be as it were before, traders some how prefer when it hasn't gotten to $40k when the fee was normal and now that it has gotten to the amount we are hoping to see things just went out of hand, let's see how the fee would be like before the remaining part of this month.
349  Economy / Speculation / Re: WILL BITCOIN CONTINUE TO RISE on: February 14, 2024, 02:28:22 AM
Hello guys, I was just wondering on what could be the true position of bitcoin in the next few months to come, considering the fact that bitcoin recently hit a mid term all time high of $50k,  indeed this was a mile stone and could have been the target of most investors and retail traders ,
so From the look of things from a fundamental and analytical point of view their are diverse possibilities. will bitcoin continue to rise up to the 59200.00 and 64302.83 price level only to break down to the 29637.99 price level to gather momentum or will the upward  trajectory move Continue to take bitcoin to the moon in the near future,  or will bitcoin be trapped in the 59200.01 And 42730.420 price zone
Whats your take on this matter?

Definitely it will continue rising and it won't stop, getting to $50k some hours back has been the expectation of many investors and traders since before getting to this year. I wasn't expecting Bitcoin price to get any higher to this $50k after the slow movement of late and it seems like it wasn't getting past $45-$47k but it did and I wouldn't want to see it go back to $44k or something below that.
Due to the expected halving the price of Bitcoin could get to maybe $65-$70k or even more, that's if the movement stays that way (moving forward), although we still haven't gotten a stable movement because as it is the price is still $49k, so let's hope it start getting up to $56k before the end of this week.
350  Economy / Economics / Re: Surviving the economy with creative thinking. on: February 14, 2024, 02:00:41 AM
It has come to a point where humans can’t just seat and watch things happen for themselves. As humans leaving in this kind of economy where things are not getting easier, we have to employ the art of creative thinking skills. It is clearly seen that to survive in today’s world. You must be creative in your thinking. The world is a global village that is changing rapidly. Humans must be innovative in their ideas and should produce different techniques. Which can be implemented in order to develop commodities and create a competitive edge.this is to say creative thinking plays a prominent role in today’s world.

OP I agree with you that as humans we have to be creative no matter how hard things are for us, saying is easy but putting it to work is the major problem. The way the society is, I don't think is everyone who can man up and start up something creative (creative in a positive way) to help him or herself. Things are very hard in a way that the thinking you talk about that's running in the head of some individual can only be the thinking of negativity, that's after trying all they know that's not working as expected.
Humans have a limit of taking thing in life and it only takes the fear of God to keep one in check if not we all know where it will end up.
Some countries situation have made those who have better things to offer to the society to start stealing kidnapping and all other bad stuff just to keep going and they now feel is the only way, frustration can kill the good mind of some individual, so I can't say being creative when things are hard is that easy.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: February 14, 2024, 01:40:11 AM
We lost the AFCON final but is that enough reason to be much bitter to start pouring out threats to some of our players, it only shows we ain't different from the South Africans.
The case of Uzoho was a bit different from how some of we Nigerians took to social media to threaten Iwobi and even Chukwueze. Fine Iwobi's performance in this past AFCON is something not to write home about and we know how it is for some footballer who can't take such backlash and insults and stil move on. Take for instance Harry Maguire, this guy wasn't himself with all being said to him but he still bounce back to prove to the supporters wrong.
Iwobi couldn't help it but he had to delete everything on his social media accounts and was planning to retire from national team (I know some of you would say let him go😁) as of two days back, but yesterday the sporting director (If I'm not mistaken) talked to him and hopefully things might turn around for good. Juventus have already lost that pressure they were giving Inter Milan to get to the title, losing to Udinese who's almost close to the relegation zone is something I never expected to happen. The visitors (Udinese) who haven't been consistent in the league just got up from God knows where to beat the old ladies 1 nil, is unbelievable and disappointing.
I saw Juventus to be the only team to give Inter Milan a run for their money but now they just gave Inter the go ahead to win the league this season, 7 point clear with a game at hand is just over for me in the Serie A, Inter are already champions because they are not going drop point or to lose any game.
It is done and I believe Inter would now have the chance to concentrate on the champions league and rest some of their players when they're about going for Champions League games.
I had predicted that losing for the first time at home was very painful for all the supporters who attended the Allianz Stadium, the bookie had said that this match was promising and attracted so many bets to hold Juventus, but the reality was that Juventus played badly and ended up losing 0-1  over Udinese, regarding who will win it is very clear today that the fight for the title is already in the hands of Inter Milan, even though they are only 7 points behind Inter Milan, in my opinion it is impossible to catch them, so Juventus' only goal at the moment is to play for  Next season's Champions League, at least their plan from the start is to target being in 4th place in the Serie A standings.

Juventus are not the Juventus they used to be and if you ask me I'd even say the bookies should never make the old ladies the favorite in any game because from what happened they don't seem to be reliable any more. What if this had been their last chance to catch up to the league leaders and become the winner of the season I guess this is how they'd have gone about business.
We still have better teams that if given the chance to hustle up to make Inter Milan a bit scared of if they can win the league they'd have done better, a team like Atlanta would have tried to reduce the gap, at least they are even more stubborn than the old ladies but we just have to accept the reality and if care isn't taken that 2nd spot might slip off their (Juventus) hands but let's see how they try to regroup after this mess.
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 13, 2024, 04:38:10 PM
Chelsea won Palace 1-3 and I believe the fans are having a great time at the moment, well is good to enjoy and celebrate their victory while stock last. I don't think the Blues should be comfortable with the 1-3 victory because they have to bare in mind that things are always going their way whenever they play alone, just like they did on Monday when they're the only ones who have a game to play.
That's by the way, on this encounter against Crystal Palace I don't have to give it all to Chelsea that they're on the right path and are back to winning ways, no, they're just managing to stay at the top of the second part of the table. I have this believe that the Blues are going to lose their next game and the one after that.
Chelsea is like a fallen building that they're trying to rebuild and the fans should expect the worst in their next 2 games. As it is, the Blues are not playing for anything, no top 4 no Europe competitions, just playing for the team to be ready for next season.

Yeah we have to admit in this match Chelsea played well came as an away team they managed to dominate the match at the same time win the match but I don't think that this is Chelsea's resurrection because previously Chelsea were defeated 2 times so it can be said that Chelsea are inconsistent, unless Chelsea can win 2 more matches, maybe we can call it Chelsea's resurrection. Currently Chelsea are still stuck in the 10th place and I'm not sure they can take a better place, as I said before Chelsea were unable to compete with Manchester United and Aston Villa to take places to the top 5.

Next week Chelsea will fight 2 strong teams on February 18 against Manchester City then against Tottenham well I think Chelsea will lose 5 points in these 2 matches lost against Manchester City and maybe a draw against Tottenham, that's why I say it will be difficult for Chelsea to take a better place in the standings. Indeed anything can happen in every match but for now we can compare the history of their match against a strong team especially against the teams that are struggling in the top 4.

Chelsea can't win 2 straight games and even if they try I can't say they're doing well or they're back to form. Chelsea has never done well this season, always disappointing the fans and giving the coach a high blood pressure for no reason. They're always going to be switching position from 10 to 11 position on the log and I don't see them getjr close to the 8th position more or less the 4th position.
The fixtures Chelsea have next is just a game that the former owner would say to the coach "if you lose these two games your job is on the line" but this current owner doesn't have that time to be sacking coaches and bringing new ones instead he'd buy more players even if they're not going to deliver, so I still see Chelsea continue with their struggle but who knows Chelsea can beat Manchester City some how and maybe draw Tottenham, a miracle might happen, but let's forget about Chelsea finishing 4 in any way.

Barcelona isn't any better either so I aswell will not be expecting Barcelona to beat Napoli, moreover this is champions league an snot their various domestic leagues where they are usually able to put up any form of performance and be able to still get ahead probably because they are used to the style of play in their domestic league.

Honestly I still haven't figured out what's happening to Barcelona at la Liga this season, is like they've gotten from bad to worse. When Xavi went there, the Barcelona team struggled till they got things back in place and this season they're like newly promoted side, they have been doing pretty bad, always struggling to get a win and Napoli on the other hand are having same problem ever since they won their league title things haven't been going well for them this season.
So in this encounter I don't know who is even stronger than the other, two teams who are managing to get a win in their respective leagues, teams who lack that consistency are coming to play against each other in the champions league. I just have to say that they're going to play out a draw at least for this first leg, then the return leg would speak for it self.
357  Economy / Economics / Re: Quitting Smoking Has Two Big Benefits. on: February 13, 2024, 01:01:24 AM
Of course, cigarette addicts are very aware of the negative side effects on the body's organs which will worsen. But that is not a problem for cigarette addicts, they prioritize relaxing their minds and not being carried away by stress. It has become a basic assumption every day that except for cigarette addicts they will stop when they are sick

I can't figure it out how they know how deadly smoking is and they still go ahead to get more. You're right, the negative effect smoking has in their (smokers) body has never been a problem to them, is like when ever they don't take at least 1 cigarette it makes them go mad. Some say when they take cigarette it makes them to think far beyond human reasoning, like they see things non-smokers don't.
One of my neighbor continued smoking even when he's feeling sick, some don't care and they know their faith, they smoke they'll die they don't smoke they'll still die so why stop when you're sick? Life is all about the decision we take.
Even the advertisements on cigarette packs already contain information about their negative effects in my area. But it's not an obstacle to quitting, it's still up to people who are addicted to cigarettes to buy . Indeed, people's lives and deaths are determined by God. but accidental death from cigarettes is rare, most people suffer from excessive smoking in the lungs

That information on cigarettes packs (smokers are liable to die young) is one of the best advise the producers have to give to their customers and they know how harmful it is to their health (which means, take but don't abuse it) but some if not all customers do ignore it, right from when I was little it has been there but smokers do take it like it's a life saver.
That warning (smokers are liable to die young) doesn't signify that they'd stop after a particular rounds is just like the producers of cigarettes are letting the public know that they're never responsible if anything goes wrong, that the customers have to take but take it responsibly.
You're right that people's life are determined by God but that doesn't mean that we should use our own hands to kill ourself. Smoking isn't bad but when is excess that's when it's bad, honestly people don't care how it all end up for them, if someone who's a smoker who knows his gauge (maybe one or two sticks of cigarettes) and he's tell another smoker that if he takes too much of cigarettes that it will affect his lungs, the other one can say he (the one giving the advise) is too scared or hasn't gotten to that stage of taking more than 2 packs at ones, so some smokers are the cause of their problem.
358  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should prioritize investment over saving on: February 13, 2024, 12:33:08 AM
Some people will always say saving is better than the other but it is only said by those people who doesn't have any plans of getting more money. If you save without investing, what are you saving for when you have the power to multiply that savings through investment? To me saving without investing is like a waste of time because you hustle to save for nothing, unnecessary spending.
To save is good but when you don't add the two together (saving and investing) then you're not moving forward, it's better you have a plan to increase your income, when you have a good plan that's when a better investment comes in. We should never forget that some people invest wrongly too.
It is absolutely true that one thing will not bring you the same result that you can get with an integrated approach. You need to be able to save in any case, otherwise you will not be able to create capital, either at the very beginning, or when you establish a financial flow.

In the same way, you will not be able to get the optimal result if you invest borrowed money, because you will always have to give someone a part of the profit. What happens if the investment is unsuccessful, or it takes longer than you originally planned? Yes, in the end you can even make a loss.

Without we hustling there won't be any savings and a plan to invest so anyone that doesn't have the mindset of replacing any spent money has already planned to failed. Me on the other hand I won't advise anyone to start any business or investment with borrowed money (although it woorks well for some), is like you're paying your rent after every hustle, sharing every bit of what you have struggled to get with a second party (like you have a target to meet just to pay up the debt).
What sometimes causes an investment to fail is when you don't have an idea of the kind of business you going into, maybe you started the business because you saw other people progressing through it so you have to join without knowing the in and out of the investment, like Bitcoin is a must for you to have the required knowledge before taking part if not you'd just be floating around without any gain. And you shouldn't expect your investment to bring a particular amount in less than no time.

Another challenge for Pochettino and I hope we won't have to hear him give the fans another excuse by tell us to be patient and trust the process. Chelsea football club doesn't want to give any new manager a chance to do his job but they want a drastic results.
The Blues are going to have another hard time to get a win to impress the fans like they always do in every EPL games but we shouldn't forget that Chelsea are like the host (Crystal Palace) in tonight's encounter.
They should use that momentum they had against Aston Villa in the league cup to play this game and I believe they can get at least a draw but going for a win might be hard for the Chelsea.
At this point Chelsea fans has nothing to say this is why we didn't do well since all the players are available now, so they should try as much as the can to impress the coach before the fans because as it is they can't do anything to sack the coach.

There are many things that I have learnt from this forum that has saved me from losing all my coins.

1. Saving coins in a self custodial wallet
2. Staying away from phishing
3. Avoid scams
4. Controlling your emotions
5. Investing in potential coins and not falling for shitcoins

These are just a few out of the many things I have learnt from this forum.

Controlling of emotion is one of the major thing someone who's joining the Forum for the first time should have because I know we have those old and new members who just know how to trigger ones emotion (negatively) and before you know the heat of exchanging words would start coming out.
If there's a way to teach some members on how to control their temper I think it should be done on the Forum, like creating a thread where you can read it and know how to tackle it.
