401  Other / Meta / Re: Use of AI on Bitcoin talk on: February 01, 2024, 05:30:12 PM
Now my confusion is Although the forum says not to use AI content does that mean that paraphrasing or punctuating with AI is allowed?

There's something I have come to understand, is that the use of AI is not that bad and there are things we can use AI to do which are if good but at the same time is not that tolerated in the Forum especially those who are in a sig campaign.
Some people do use it in an abusive way, let's say in some campaign where they do give bonus to the best post and you'd be surprised to see some users making use of AI to make their post the best. So that's where AI isn't supported in the Forum, when you use it against the Forum rules.
402  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price: $35K or $45K next? on: February 01, 2024, 04:50:52 PM
At this point in time I don't think anybody can predict Bitcoin price with the way it is. Today you see it moving up and the next it's going down, like it doesn't have a direction and the high expectations many people have for it this year is not what they're seeing.
To me I was expecting the price to be much higher than $45-50k+ but it hasn't gotten past $45k and keep going instead we have it dropping so fast to either $39k or $40k, is really disturbing to investors and traders. Can we ever see it get up to $50k before the halving? No one knows what to expect in the price as it is.
I would say it is doing fine, yes it is not really going on direction and not super high like people predicted, but it is not going down neither, not a lot at least. I feel like we still have time, it's been one month and people are already expecting a lot from it, I think we should feel fine about it and not really consider it anything major.

Super high? No, many people (like me) expect it to be around $50k+ and the super high you talking about should be $80-100k+, the expectation hasn't gotten to that amount to me. And what do you expect from it when we're suppose to see something higher but we get to see Bitcoin price trying to go back to $30k, is not healthy in the market price and I feel some investors and traders have already started panicking about the weak movement of the price.

Quote
I understand that it may feel like it could be boring at this moment but it's just one month, 2024 has another 11 months to go and as we can see even from just this month, bitcoin is a volatile thing and could move differently. So, we should consider the possibility that many things could change, and that would be a very serious situation to care about as well when the time comes, that matters.

One month can change a lot of things, it can bring the price of Bitcoin back down to $25k and it can as well bring it up to $75k+ so people have to expect much higher price from it, the price need to go higher because we're getting close to the halving which is by the corner so any positive changes that needs to happen should happen from now.
403  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Adults of bitcointalk what are your candid advice to newbies in the forum? on: January 31, 2024, 01:04:30 PM
Just be who you are. Everyone comes as a beginner, and everyone grows gradually. There is no need for haste here.

Is really hard for newbies and some high ranked users who have been here for long to take this advise of yours. Some people see here as a place to compete with other members, they want to do and be like other user, so they try to do something just to impress but along the line they forget why they're here and they also lose who they really are, desperation do take over before you know it they start doing things that might break the rules of the Forum without them knowing.

405  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2024 price prediction on: January 31, 2024, 12:25:25 PM
Bitcoin is sure to see a huge pump, as you can certainly guess the schedule if you look at past Bitcoin halvings. The last bitcoin halving was in 2020, the price of bitcoin fell in 2020 creating opportunities for investors, and in 2021 bitcoin rose to a peak of 69k. And we can follow the same principle in 2024, 2025 Bitcoin price will increase at the highest speed. But here we can predict Bitcoin Price 2024 Bitcoin price can definitely go upto 50k.

Talking about the past halving how the price of Bitcoin dropped in 2020 and got up in 2021, what if we have something different where the price goes higher than we expected in this 2024 and start dropping by next year 2025? To me I feel we might be having a reverse in the movement of Bitcoin price because the price started dropping since last year (December) and is still not stable at the moment.
Today you'd see it at $43k in less than 30mins it goes up or down and it got me thinking, why is that happening? And I feel this is just the perfect movement it needs to start going up and with time it would go beyond $50k.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 30, 2024, 02:52:47 PM

Changing of coaches sometimes affect teams positively and negatively but to me I think it will affect Liverpool in a negative way because I believe the new coach might try to do some changes, in style of play and some other places, it may even make some players to leave the club especially those ones who their contract have expired but let's see how things will be like when the man leave the club.
Klopp is like Arsene Wenger in Arsenal or Sir Alex Ferguson in Manchester United, after they left, both of Arsenal and Manchester United struggle to win Premier League and Champions League. So we can expect Liverpool will not be a strong contender against Manchester City, maybe Manchester City will completely dominating the league like PSG. Liverpool must win Premier League this season, it will be sweet farewells.

Yeah I agree with you but don't be surprised if Liverpool finish 4th before the end of the season because I believe they're going to have this crazy upset and that alone will make them drop points. I don't see Klopp winning any trophy this season.
The Manchester City you talked about is really trying to put things together and if Pep eventually leave the side I don't see them dominating the EPL. KDB who was absent worried the play of the squad and Haaland was not even in the mix so I think teams that would dominate the EPL from next season will be Man City, Arsenal, Aston Villa, maybe Chelsea (depending on where they finish this season) and I might add Bournemouth (they're cooking something big for next season), is not going to be only Manchester City, I don't even see Liverpool to be that strong next campaign.
407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 30, 2024, 01:42:24 PM
Many have been talking about the Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp leaving the side, what a great achievement from him. I wonder, can we say Jürgen Klopp is a legend in the EPL or is he one of those coaches that come to EPL and do what they know best, get an applaud from the fans and boom they're off to another challenge or can we say he's among the best coaches that Liverpool have ever had and we can as well call him a Liverpool legend?
I don't really know where to place him as of now but winning 1 champions league title, 1 EPL title, Carabao Cup and the FA Cup is some huge success as the manager of the reds Liverpool, if I'm to say if he's a Liverpool legend or EPL legend I'd just call him a regular coach. No doubt he has done a good job for Liverpool but I don't see him as a legend in any where both for Liverpool and the EPL.
It is only natural for people to discuss himself because he has given something good for Liverpool and maybe his departure next season will make Liverpool's condition not okay, because his habit when the change of coach will be quite difficult to adapt to new players and coaches so that it can affect the team when Competing in any league they follow. Jurgen Klopp managed to present several prestigious titles to Liverpool and he entered the row of the most successful coach at Anfield, so it was certain that his departure would leave a long history of his journey with the club.

We also want to know the ideal substitute figure to him even though it is still long because he will go at the end of the season. Jurgen Klopp also got a scathing criticism at the beginning he joined and he slowly proved his coaching ability so that Liverpool managed to live a few titles with him and what I remember most how when they managed to come out as Champions League champions. It was quite encouraging for all fans and management because it is a long wait after the previous season they failed in the final or in the semifinals.

No matter how things are between you and o_e_l_e_o I don't think him having a short time to live is something you should be happy about, is like you're taking advantage of the fact that he's not going to be here to defend himself to say some crazy things.
I'm not saying "crazy things", I provided o_e_l_e_o's own quotes that prove he was lying about innocent non custodial open source privacy projects and telling people to deposit their coins into a scam that stole depositor funds and turned over user data to the government.

No matter the proof you provided, do you realize that we're only getting your own part of the story but we haven't heard or gotten anything from the accused? For now is just a mare accusation because we can't say he's what you call him until we get his own part of the gist, so is best you let it slide and I pray to God to do some miracle, get him completely healed, let him come back here and testify then you can start this whole drama all over again.

"Even if he stole your money"?...

I'm curious, how would you feel if someone who was impostering your profile to scam people out of their money died?  Would you say "well, at least my imposter deserves respect"?

The way you think and the way I think are never going to be the same, wishing anyone death is not going to come from me.
And again yes he deserves some respect, the thing is how you lay your complain that why it seems like we're against you but for ones you had to give him the regard after all we still have many people who can still speak good if him.
Come to think of it OP, why is it now that he's not using the Forum anymore that you're bringing this topic of him being an imposter? Don't you also think someone can still use his name to do bad things without him knowing?

A friend of mine sent this message to me. How true is this? Using money to bribe the Angola team to perform better and win the competition.

~
Angolan bank, Banco Keve promised to give the Players $9,600 each if they beat Nigeria.

Angolan diamond company, Social EP promised to give the team $250,000 if they beat Nigeria.

Angolan Player, Gilberto says they will beat Nigeria at the Quarter Finals. He even boasted that the Super Eagles are not a threat to them.

Infact, an Angolan bank, BAI gave each Player $6,000 for beating Namibia 3-0 in the AFCON Round of 16.

A Telecoms company, UNITEL, as well gifted each Player an iPhone 15.

In case you've forgotten, Angola denied Nigeria FIFA World Cup qualification in 2006.

Friday is the day. Lets see what the outcome would be

There's nothing wrong with that brother, this is what our Nigeria government use to do in case you forget and I feel is not going to help the team I mean the Super Eagles because whenever this kind of thing happens you'd see the team that have been doing pretty well will start messing up till they're knocked out. So to me, what they're doing to the Angola national team is only to motivate them and I can tell you for free that they're afraid of what's coming at them even Gilberto knows they can't stand the SUPER_EAGLES and we're going to beat the Angola national team 3-0, let's wait for Friday to come.
411  Economy / Reputation / Re: Farewell on: January 29, 2024, 01:15:04 PM
I see no sense in this.
Death is never a good thing even if Leo had offended you indirectly in the past you should at least bid him a farewell based on his condition. Not everyone is strong enough to fight cancer for over a decade.

Actually, I would say the opposite:  Since o_e_l_e_o doesn't have much time left to make things right, he should use this chance to correct the record and apologize for knowingly spreading lies about weaknesses in Bitcoin's privacy.  Bitcointalk posts are a legacy you leave behind even after you die, so it's worth it to extend eternity your honesty.

No matter how things are between you and o_e_l_e_o I don't think him having a short time to live is something you should be happy about, is like you're taking advantage of the fact that he's not going to be here to defend himself to say some crazy things.
Come on OP,  even if he did something you don't like or he stole your money or something, that shouldn't make you wish him death, at least he never prayed you stop breathing , give him the last respect he deserves and not the way you're going about business. Try and keep a better legacy too, who knows this guy o_e_l_e_o can make it past this month next year and many more years, I just wish him well where ever he is.
412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 29, 2024, 12:05:44 PM
Bayern Leverkusen had a draw in their last game with Bayern Munich having a narrow win against Augsburg, it would reduce the point difference. Bayern Munich are really catching up and it would be a disaster if the league leaders (Bayern Leverkusen) drop out in this title race because many football lovers have tipped them (Bayern Leverkusen) to win the league this season.
Is just two points that's separating both teams and I feel the pressure is going to be on Leverkusen, they're now going to be in a hurry to first get a goal to win any of their games and their style of play might change. I just hope Alonso will be calm and also tell the to play as if they have no one coming to over take them in the league table and if they do so I think they're certain of 3pts in every game, the absence of Victor Boniface is also affecting them.
Bayern Leverkusen losses opportunity to make many points remaining from Bayern Munich after holding draw by Borussia Mönchengladbach last match, four consecutives winning in Bundesliga stopped by Gladbach and make current standings remaining two points from Bayern Munich. Actually is not comfortable position for Bayern Leverkusen if want secure top position and keep defend the opportunity winning domestic league tittle in this season although Bayern Leverkusen still unbeaten all matches competition.

Bayern Leverkusen have forget with bad result for this week after losing three points and must focus upcoming match how to secure three points against relegation team Darmstadt, I don't see any difficult opponent team upcoming match and get three points will make Leverkusen keep manager and defend their first standing position from Bayern Leverkusen will face Gladbach next match.

That's where they (Bayern Leverkusen) need to be seriously worried because any dropped point can bring them down from that top spot on the table. Being unbeatable is not even going to save them, from all I'm seeing I don't think Bayern Munich can stop losing games at this point but the league leaders need to be consistent.
There's still hope because Bayern Munich are in their worst form as it is, they do struggle to win games we think they (Bayern Munich) can easily get more than 2 goals at half time. I assure you that if Bayern Munich plays 5 games, out of the 5 they will play goalless at halftime and maybe draw or lose the game at fulltime, so I think Leverkusen can make it only if they avoid losing when Bayern Munich drop point.
In their (Bayern Leverkusen) next game I think they're going to do better than they did in their last game, it would be tough but I see them securing all 3 point, no sharing of point this time around.
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 29, 2024, 11:14:22 AM
I don't know if is normal for coaches to blame the failure of their team on inexperience or they're just using that as an excuse to save their job and not taking the blame for their fall. We saw the Egypt who everyone thought they're going to qualify into the next round lost to Dr Congo and with time you'd hear the coach of the Egyptian saying that is inexperience that made them lost the game (just as the Cameroon coach is saying) but to me is never inexperience but change, is like the Egyptians are lacking quality players, with time they'd come back stronger but they need to rebuild the team, like who's Dr. Congo where we have Egypt?
The thing is those smaller countries that are in the AFCON to complete the number of participants have stepped up to challenge for the title.
Let's watch out for those countries that are never the favorite in this competition to win this tournament because if you have been following this AFCON you'd see that countries like Dr. Congo, Cape Verde, Mauritania and Mali too has gotten up to be contenders.
Teams that I'm expecting in the Semi finals are Cape Verde, Dr Congo, Nigeria and Senegal.

Senegalese National Football Team I'm worried about, I have seen more than a game but these players are not joking not even playing with themselves. Seem like they want to behave like Real Madrid for a back to back trophy. That could be possible because they're playing impressively. Sadio Mane also has a good impact in the African Cup of Nations Competitions so far moving to Saudi Arabian League hasn't reduced his game and pace in anyway possible.

I agree with you because the way the Senegalese play last Nations Cup is even more impressive this year like they added more fire power and is like they're improving in every game they play, always going for the main prize without underrating their opponent. They have been lacking behind some years back and now they're a nightmare for those countries who easily beat them back then.
Honestly I don't think the Saudi league is good for the man Sadio Mane because he doesn't look like someone who's their for the money on like Mahrez who look fat like he's on vacation. Mane is still fit and I feel he might grab something in this competition like the best player or even the title.

Quote
Nigerians are now backing the squad and if they can do same against thee next siide they're playing. Cape Verde and Dr Congo are pushing hard. I think Dr Congo needs the trophy, they're bleeding at home as most of them families are being dehomed so European Non government organization could drill and steal Natural Resources. SMH. They deserve a win to keep themselves stronger.

Let's forget about the Eagles because if we keep talking about them like showering praises on them I think they might flop on their next game.
And if you're saying that the Dr. Congo need the trophy because of what's going on in their country then I think they shouldn't struggle any more, CAF should just hand them the trophy as compensation. Nigeria and some other Africa countries have their own higher problem (not that I'm happy about the problems they're passing through, hope you get what I mean) but this is football and I think for them to get the trophy they need to get to the finals first which is not going to be easy because we have some other countries who are hungry for the title.

Yes obviously Bitcoin price will reach $100k today or tomorrow. And i strongly believe it. Many people couldn’t think or believe it. But when bitcoin price was $1k or $2k then many people also think never Bitcoin price will go $50k or avabe. But it happened. And now who are thinking Bitcoin price will never reach they also will saw after few years Bitcoin price avabe $100k there has no doubt i think.
I think after or within one year of Bitcoin halving i mean within 2025 Bitcoin price will reach $100. And i am waiting for it.

If Bitcoin price will eventually get to $100k I don't see it happening today or tomorrow like you said and you believe it will happen but not today or tomorrow. Look at how slow the price has been going for almost better half of this month and if I'm to rate the way it has been moving I'd say very poorly since the beginning of this year.
It hasn't gotten to $50k or even $75k and your expectations has gotten to $100k, not possible for now.
I think this month is never going to be favorable to investors and traders until next month, that's when we'll be having it (Bitcoin price) move faster than we're seeing it, who knows $50-55k+ is possible.
417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 28, 2024, 05:23:32 PM
Super Eagle has only conceded a goal out of their four matches played so far in the tournament. This could be our best AFCON match so far because our defense and frontline are strong, coupled with we have a good goalkeeper.
Nwabali has not really been tested because our defense has been very good. Nwabali was subbed out of the game because of an injury from the rough play of the Cameroonians, we await to hear good news about his return because we cannot trust Uzoho at this stage of the competition where the competition is getting more serious.

I liked the seriousness I saw in our players yesterday against Cameroon, they bullied the Indomitable lions all through the game. Pressed hard and were aggressive. If we can be that serious against Angola, we will beat them.
Nwabali is not looking to me like a very good keeper but then he's a preferred choice than uzoho , so far our defense has been really fantastic in their performance and have made it that there have been no serious threat to test nwabali to the ebest of his ability but so far I think he will make a better combination with the Eagles defense line than with Uzoho, the few minutes Uzoho played yesterday shows how chaotic he could be if he were to have played in the full time .

I'm hoping the Eagles maintain the strength around their defense and possibly improve it so they can see their selves to the finals even though they haven't been so outstanding in all their performance but so far they have been making progress.

Looking at Nwabali's body movement yesterday it has already show that he's far way better than Uzoho and you don't need the defense of the Eagles to be threatened before you say the goalkeeper is good, if the opponent doesn't disturb the defense it means the goalkeeper is doing very well (shouting at them and telling the defenders who's behind them) because he's the last man who sees everything.
The Super Eagles played well but the major problem they have is the wingers who are not really getting the ball to the striker, I see them (wingers) as guys who loves running with the ball without any positive result and where seems to be another problem is that number 10 role, nobody is doing the job pretty well and we know how good our attackers are when it comes to disturbing the defense line of our opponent, they need those crazy through passes to give us a goal. That creativity in that midfield is really not functioning, if we get that position working then we're good to go.
418  Economy / Speculation / Re: will the btc price reach 100k ? on: January 28, 2024, 04:52:04 PM
Even when others are not saying it or seing it, being a bitcoiner, we should be able to know and understand the reason why bitcoin will make a new all time high above hundred thousand dollars this year or next year, we can get more information even further more on it's historical performances, we also can make use of the market price chart to see more through the speculations we can make to arrived at something.

To me I don't see Bitcoin price getting to hundred this year because I haven't seen anything convincing to get to that amount, the market movement hasn't gotten to the point where we can say it will get to $100k this year.
I wish for that to happen but is kinda slow and the expectation is getting low but if you are going to use how it happened in the past then is a 50/50 thing, I'm not saying things won't change in a positive way but it hasn't given us that assurance of it happening.
419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 28, 2024, 12:49:04 AM
The Eagles are really doing great in the first half of this encounter, they need more fire power to get more goals because I don't see the Cameroonians doing anything against the defense of the Eagles to get a goal.
The super eagles played a nice ball against Cameroon today, they were able to score two goals in the match. Since the beginning of the tournament, today's match is the first match in which Nigeria will score two goals. The super eagles played a calm game against Cameroon. Lookman's performance was very nice today, he was able to score two goals, which gave Nigeria victory in the match. Nigeria have successfully qualified for the quarterfinals of the African Cup of Nations. Let's hope the super eagles will be able to win the cup for Nigeria this year.

We all are happy for the improvement of the team scoring our first 2 goals in a game and the victory but it's never enough until we get things right especially in that midfield, it needs some recruitment. We need a play makers in that midfield and if you check how we played, it was as if our midfielders are not stable.
Iwobi on the midfield still lack that confidence, only if he's that good with the ball I believe the Cameroonians would have suffered a lot in that game. I just hope against Angola the coach would try as much as he can to make the midfield strong than it was against Cameroon.
