It shows how weak they have become but Pep still have back up to always get the business done, I love the way the Citizens are switching in players to replace the injured ones but they're still not getting it to be the way it used to be.
Haaland on the other hand doesn't seem to be a problem when he's out but KDB's absence has shown that the Citizens lack that creativity in them.
Arsenal and Liverpool are never going to let this opportunity slip off their fingers in letting Manchester City win the league, and I believe that the second leg against Manchester City won't be easy as the first and Pep knows the danger that lies ahead of his team getting the title.
Manchester City's quite busy match schedule certainly makes them tired, but Pep Guardiola has a lot of ammunition and the rotations carried out on the team are able to produce maximum results.
I have said from the start that Manchester City is a quite strong team and they should be watched out for by all teams in the fight for the title, slumping and getting unsatisfactory results in a few weeks is a normal thing for a football team but how can they getting up is something worth waiting for and Manchester City was able to do that quickly.

Arsenal and Liverpool have experienced an increase in quality this season compared to last season so of course this will make the competition with Manchester City in the race for the title fierce and in my opinion the same is true and will even be fiercer compared to last season.

In as much as they're the current champions many football fans have tipped them as the favorite in winning the title base on how the slack and still bounce back to win the title in previous seasons, that's in the past to me because they haven't shown how ready they are to repeat it again and the other teams are not even ready to lose against them (City). I just hope things go as plan for the other teams, I'd tip either Liverpool or Arsenal to win the league this campaign.
Liverpool and Arsenal have learnt their lesson especially the Gunners who almost got the title but slipped off at the last minute which to me is just a disgraceful performance if you ask me. Both teams (Liverpool and Arsenal) are really going to hit City very hard just to slow them in getting close to the title and Pep is getting the signal so he had to improvise since things ain't working for him as before.
I will advise you not to write off city as the favorite to win the league title this time around. By this time last season they found themself in similar situation they are right now. But you know what happened when it was January. If city lost as many points that they have lost already and are still this close to the two teams that are toping the league just imagine what will happen when the other teams starts losing points and city start winning when Kelvin and Haland comes back by January.

I still don't understand why you guys think City has what it takes to win the league even if KDB returns and I'm not talking about Haaland because he's no threat any more and like I ones said that they ain't missing him. If we have some of those players who left City of recent I believe they would've been in good shape so I don't feel they can get the title again this season.
As for the other teams trying to get the title this season I still think they're all waiting for that mistake (losing games and points) from Pep Guardiola's men which I don't think is going to be the key to winning the title, they have to win their games and forget what's going on with City because as it is the Citizens are far behind in points until they play their outstanding games.

Easy win for City in an away game.
They are now close to the top once again.

Btw I can't see how they can lose the title.

An easy win for Manchester City but that doesn't mean these guys are still the team that used to dominate in every game, these days when Man City are playing is like they're trying to be very careful and you see that touch of brilliance they're losing it in every game and I don't think they can be more deadly when KDB fully recovers.
Pep Guardiola to come out to say other clubs are wishing them (Manchester City) to lose in every game, to me that's not mind games anymore but he has gotten the message that no team in the EPL is that scared to go head to head without trying to get a point, on like last season, so I don't see the Citizens winning the league this season.

It is easier to be successful because they were matched with Everton, a club that placed at the lower table. I admit that this squad is not the same who dominated the league before. They slipped on a strike from Jack Harrison. But they are competent enough to the clubs on top. Firepower will undoubtedly increase with KDB and Haaland returning in January. Because of this, the gambling market remains stacked in favor of Man City over Liverpool and Arsenal. Their return is inevitable and Man City will close the season defending their championship.

It shows how weak they have become but Pep still have back up to always get the business done, I love the way the Citizens are switching in players to replace the injured ones but they're still not getting it to be the way it used to be.

Since bitcoin existed it has not come to an end, is it now it is gaining mass global adoption that would make it come to an end? Bitcoin has brought us closer to the future and technology, and many are yet to get the experience.

All these are something doubters know but they just want it to die for them to clap and say they told us so, but I know is never going to happen the way they want it. Bitcoin has so many changes to make in countries that have accepted it and before you know it 80% of the countries in the world would accept it and make it legal, and we won't be hearing Bitcoin is dead any more with any little drop of it's price.
546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another year is going to end. Bitcoin isn't dead on: December 27, 2023, 09:18:17 AM
Many hasn't gotten that time to read the Bitcoin whitepaper before making such judgement about Bitcoin going down. In as much as some who doesn't see Bitcoin going far doesn't mean it will fall instead it will bring something that would rather change their negative mindset or convince them totally that Bitcoin is here to stay for good.
I believe the more haters we have the more longer it will excel with many more years to be counted.
They don't need to read all the Bitcoin White Paper or understand all technical things in Bitcoin protocol. It's for programmers who can understand code but as investors, people must read to learn basics of Bitcoin.

Learning basics will help them to see potential of Bitcoin blockchain for privacy, anonymity and decentralized network, censorship resistant.

They will understand about Bitcoin total supply and its scheduled future supply until 2140.

Those basic knowledge is enough for them to build up their belief in Bitcoin and start to become a diamond hand Bitcoin investor.

Controlled supply
How is the 21M Bitcoin cap defined and enforced.

I believe we still have those who knows the basic knowledge about Bitcoin but they still find it hard to accept the reality of Bitcoin and that it's here to stay, is like a double mind with one telling them to stick to the believe one day and very soon it will fall and 25% of the other is telling them that it won't. Is really a hard choice for them or should I call them unbelievers to accept things about Bitcoin. To me is like they do know much about Bitcoin but they're just skeptic about the whole thing so they stick to the idea that it will die off soon.

I think as time passes and Bitcoin is still alive it becomes more normalised for more
people. I believe next year or 2025 after the halving and after the resulting Bull run
if the market price drops some people will be calling the death of Bitcoin.

Then again if these ETF's get approved the normalisation and acceptance will increase.

Back in 2017 when Bitcoin broke all believable barriers and roared up to the $20k
zone and the resulting correction is when "everyone" was calling the death of Bitcoin,
but in the following years as that $20k is a distant memory its clear to those that
death is not happening....and it will become clearer and clearer as time passes.

You should know that is normal for those who sees something going in a positive way to react negatively like these set of people only have to feel happy when they see Bitcoin losing its price or should I say going down like you said and they don't care to know how it got to the current amount but their wish for it to stop existing. I believe before the end of next year Bitcoin price will prove them wrong, they should be seeing Bitcoin as Fiat and it has come to stay, no going back.

Isn't this a normal condition when a surprise comes for a small team at the bottom of the standings and Burnley victory at that time was lucky because Fulham made a mistake and surprises won't come twice like today which was defeated by Liverpool and this is a natural incident because Burnley the team that is in bottom of the standings without having strong performance while Liverpoo has much stronger performance than Burnley.

I quite disagree with you on the fact that Burnley won Fulham by luck and that Fulham made mistakes. Mistakes are meant to be made in football but are you telling me that Fulham lost the game against Bournemouth yesterday because of their mistakes, or Bournemouth was lucky as well?
The thing is that the advantages was there and both Burnley and Bournemouth who beat Fulham respectively took it and they won.
Now back to what I was driving at, we all know how bad the performance of Vincent Kompany's boys have been since the beginning of this campaign and I'm saying that even if Liverpool are the bigger boys in that encounter yesterday, Burnley should at least gotten a shot if not more on target but no shot on target was registered and Alisson was just on vacation, that's enough reason to be pissed about the Burnley side.

Quote
In this season, if we understand it, it's a bit ridiculous that a team like Man City has dropped to 5th place, whereas above Man City there is a team that is actually not very strong and has unstable consistency. It's just that when Man City experienced a decline, the 3 teams above them no longer had strong opponents so they could appear a little more consistent and Liverpool achievements are likely to put strong pressure on Arsenal because so far they have tried but Liverpool has surprisingly also improved their performance.
competition becoming more competitive and it very interesting to continue to see developments in the EPL.

I believe Aston Villa are the weaker team you're referring to but don't forget is that same Aston Villa who beat Manchester City, so I think they deserve that spot and again City are occupying that 5th base on matches they didn't play because of the FIFA WORLD CLUB FOOTBALL they went for which they won. So if Man City played those 2 outstanding matches which I some how believe they'd win, I don't think they'd still remain in that 5th position.
They have more advantage more than those 3 teams above of them (don't want to talk about Tottenham because we know how's going to be for them), and if you ask me I'd tell you for free that either Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa are going to drop point for the Champions (Man City). Well, to me I'd like the heat to be the way it is let's see who can emerge as Champions.

It's incredible when someone is in the Bitcointalk crypto space for 10 years and even this will continue.
You live your life side by side with the forum and I also do the same from 8 years ago when I first got to know this forum,
There are still 2 years left to reach 10 years like you.

You have passed the 2nd Halving and the 3rd Halving and soon in 2024 you will pass the 4th Halving and this is certainly amazing,
you can see how the price difference in each halving that occurs, you feel the Euphoria of the Halving directly.

And Once again congratulations on the achievement and This story certainly continues.

Getting to 10 year stay in this Forum is just a process that need to be taken gradually without being in a rush and I feel 2 years remaining for you to get to that 10yrs to celebrate too is going to be achieved by the grace of God. You won't even notice how fast it will come and go with many more halving on the way for you to experience, the journey has just begun @taufik123. Who knows on getting to your 10th year here Bitcoin price would at $70-80k.

OP since you started noticing funny things about that platform I think you should let it go, from what I saw while making some research about them I think they're not really here to stay but get hold of your money and boom they're gone.
Some of these sites don't have any good intentions but negative ones, after the deposit of $100 the next thing is either they start giving you something they know won't work like getting 3 friends to join and make deposit too, I advise you let the site be and avoid them.

Astonishing recovery for United.

Ten Hag is safe, for now.

The come back by Man UTD was really impressive and I'm so happy that it had to be the only player who has been struggling in getting his first EPL goal and last night he did it. It's a shame that with all the good players Manchester United have they couldn't provide Hojlunda chances to get him goals for the team. We have the selfish Rashford who immediately lost form after signing a new contract, Anthony who forget he's form at Ajax and Bruno Fernandes who has lost his form due to constant complaining to everything that goes on in the pitch even if it doesn't concern him.
Like these guys can't support the player Hojlund but they decided to do things their own way and even the little Garnacho is doing the same with the coach losing his power over these set of players, it's so sad.
Well I don't see anything big going around the red devils but what we know is that they're going up gradually and if anyone thinks ETH is going to be sacked anytime soon I'd say is a lie because Man UTD are not yet done with him, the board sees him as the right person to bring that glorious days.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 26, 2023, 08:11:00 PM
EPL sometimes is just funny because I can't see that force Burnley had against Fulham that they beat them 0-2 but could not get single shot on target against Liverpool, like what's going on with Burnley? I was expecting Burnley to make things very hard for Liverpool because that win over Fulham should have given them that motivation to even get at least a goal and make the Liverpool goalkeeper to be busy.
Klopp and his boys had 95% of the ball and I was expecting to see Liverpool bring that style they played against Arsenal. I believe if Liverpool continue with this same style of play, I don't see them getting close to the top 2 or even winning the league, the performance was too poor against a struggling Burnley.
554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 26, 2023, 07:07:14 PM
Rasmus Hojlund hasn't gotten a goal in the EPL and that's a bit frustrating especially the game they lost to West Ham when he was substituted, you could see the frustration on his face. The manager (ETH) hasn't gotten a style of play that would make things easy for the striker to get his first EPL goal and tonight they're facing Unai Emery Etxegoien side who got a draw against Sheffield, it will be a fixture the home side would like to get a win and by the way Aston Villa are going about business I feel Manchester United will also find this game to be very difficult like the previous game, so I wonder how they'll handle this challenge of getting a win and also helping the striker get his first goal for the club in the EPL.
Who knows, this could be a fixture that Manchester United could box their way through this poor performance by getting all 3 point.
One thing I like about Manchester United coach is that he has the patience to wait on any player who is having a difficult time to come back to what they are used to know before he bought them. Take Onana for example, he was overly criticized by the media and also by Manchester United fans. The Manchester goalkeeper himself knew that he has not been performing in his great form but yet Manchester United coach still gave him a place and now he is part of the game.

The case of the young Manchester United striker will not be a different. I believe Manchester United coach will still be giving him chances till he score his first English Premier League goal. It is not easy to be very honest with you for a coach to be using a striker every week and he is unable to get a goal. The only saving grace of Hojlund is that he has scored very well in the Champions League but that is not enough. He needs to prove himself in the English Premier League.

Onana's case is completely different and to be frank with you the form of the team is just a reflection of Onana's performance, if the team is doing well Onana won't have been picking the ball from the back of the net.
And the poor performance Manchester United are having is just the cause of why Onana is seen as a bad investment, when he was the shot stopper of Inter Milan he was doing great but UTD is just not in good shape so I don't see why after spending that amount of money on Onana, he will be on the bench, Onana is good and he can't be on the bench because Man UTD are always losing games.
As for giving Hojlund the chance to continue playing is just that the coach don't have any other option other than playing the striker week in week out, I just feel he can't score if the team don't play as a unit.

I believe if the Forum had something like that (jackpot lottery) you would have come up with a different request or something you wish that should have been added to the Forum. I don't understand why newbies always wish for something that's not going to happen. Not everything you wish for comes to reality.
OP, let the jackpot lottery be but if you're really looking for something you'd engage in to win, I suggest you check on services you can try on one of those art contest, who knows you can be one of the winners.

Now Newcastle is leading the game with a score of 1-0. Even though it was only a goal through a penalty. But still all of us who bet on Newcastle will be starting to breathe a little easier now.

But the match will still last quite a long time. Because currently the match has only entered the 32nd minute. And it turns out that Nottingham is still able to put a little pressure on Newcastle. And in this match, Nottingham used a defensive strategy. And I think this is quite effective. But the Newcastle players continue to put pressure and well I hope Newcastle can score 1 more goal in this first half.
Newcastle's performance in the first round was not too impressive, they really could not rise from the downturn they experienced in the last few matches.
To be honest if we see the overall strength of the two teams, Newcastle should be able to win this match easily, especially nottingham, is not a strong team this season only because Newcastle's performance that has declined greatly now makes all possibilities still possible to happen.
Now Newcastle is still 1 goal ahead, I think it's still not safe for them to ensure victory.

I was having that feeling that the first half would end in a draw and as for Newcastle, they haven't been that clinical since this season, they find it hard to keep a clean sheet. The attackers are all in good shape but that midfield is something the coach (Eddie Howe) of the home side need to put a lot of work.
The second half is going to be more of the attack from both sides and is like the visitors are scared of coming out to get the ball and make Newcastle feel the pressure. I just wish Nuno Espirito Santo would play more of the attack than defending because I don't see any much threat coming from Newcastle.
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 26, 2023, 11:49:12 AM
Manchester United are one of the teams that was occupying the top four position on the log last season and their opponent Aston Villa was nowhere to be found, this season the table has turn around where the visitors (Aston Villa) are not only in the top four but trying to squeeze their way through to the top of the table.
Aston Villa form this season is just magnificent, is like they have been planning their stay at the top of the table since last season and now they're doing better than Newcastle even their opponent Manchester United.
The game at Old Trafford would be a game to watch and I don't even see the home side (Man UTD) causing any damage in that encounter. Aston Villa played out a 1-1 draw and the coach of the side won't want to lose any point in tonight's game and I feel they're going to take advantage of Manchester United not playing as a team to get all 3 point, to me Man UTD are the weaker side in this game so I'd give it to Aston Villa to take all 3 point to cover for that draw against Sheffield UTD.
