1321  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner USB group buy REOPENED! (previous customers only!) .175 per unit! on: August 10, 2013, 03:17:45 AM
Let me know how many more I can get, Arklan, and I'll send payment for them.

I think that is three, but I'm a bit confused after doing a quick catch-up / scan of the last couple pages.

Yea, three for everyone who wanted in (but that option is closed now, so if you're not marked on the spreadsheet you're out.)  and possibly a 4th, which I'll  determine tomorrow.
1322  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner USB group buy REOPENED! (previous customers only!) .175 per unit! on: August 10, 2013, 02:25:18 AM
While I'm a big fan of extra money, that's just wrong. Hat or similar random method it is.

Note that the time has come and gone. The numbers, if i did the math right, show 40 people want more. That's 3 each, with 21 remaining. I may be off by a small amount, so please check me using what you see on the spread sheet.

The first batch will get to fedex today.

Pay up now?

M

That would be great, yea. I'll  do the random drawing tomorrow. I'm stuck at my friends magic the gathering shop and it's loud...  Tournament in progress.

1325  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner USB group buy REOPENED! (previous customers only!) .175 per unit! on: August 08, 2013, 08:09:04 PM
will international ship later like the previous one?

i've just finished packing the first batch of 154 units. some of them are international. check the spreadsheet to see.

in your case tidus_13, it appears you haven't paid?

i'm off to print labels! ...wish me luck.
1326  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner USB group buy REOPENED! (previous customers only!) .175 per unit! on: August 08, 2013, 06:59:10 PM
sorry for the delay the last day, been busy. but everything is caught up and marked down. the first batch of 154 units did go to the wrong address, my old one in utah, but that's my borther's place. he got the box today and has already shipped it fedex overnight to me, so i'll have it tomorrow.

i'll pack and mail out those as fast as i can (recruiting the fiance to help) but i don't think i'll be able ot get them back to fedex by their deadline tomorrow evening. so they'll be sent friday. the others haven't even reached friedcat from manufacturing yet as i understand it, so we'll be waiting on that. i believe they expect stock to come in by the 10th and ours should go out after that.

regarding unclaimed: for those who have declared interest, whatever remains unclaimed friday morning (about 36 hours from now give or take) will be EQUALLY DISTRIBUTED. say you're marked "up to 10" then you get an even share, up to a total of ten, including your original claim. if you're marked "more if possible" you get an even share until they run out, unless you inform me of a limit you want.

if you've paid me ahead for more then you end up getting, you'll get a refund of course.

and, to make it clear: if your name isn't in the spreadsheet, you cannot get in on this in any way. so bug off! Cheesy

also, i goofed on the spreadsheet, as someone noticed. we're up to 369 of the original 512 claimed.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AjCZrDbAiz_PdE4tbDR3X3owMHNMb1NyekJGWHN4QlE&usp=sharing

What happens if there aren't enough to go around?  How do we determine who gets one?

Right right... It  might not break down evenly. Uh... Hmm. Random selection? Names out of a hat  or run a little script to figure it?

Or could go by who paid when, but that favors the btc rich. Any other ideas?

arklan, if I recall correctly, before you moved from UT, you only mentioned a girlfriend... Smiley

Hehe. Yep! :-D

1328  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fundamental analysis thread on: August 08, 2013, 02:59:31 AM
Him recognizing that bitcoin was a form of money just means that in that specific case. It's no different than how bitcoins were viewed before and doesn't really change anything on a monumental level. FinCEN still only has jurisdiction over the AML part of bitcoins, and the CFTC still doesn't have jurisdiction over its exchange.

One word: precedence.

When you panic I panic.   Undecided
I'm sure he'll post as soon as he has a definite update / certain knowledge.

He has to communicate with friedcat to resolve this.

I doubt the sun is currently shining on friedcat.

--

IOWs, give it time for cross time zone communications to happen.

I've messaged him. The old address is my brothers though, so it'll still reach me.

I'm currently running 20 with just fans. I feel heat sinks are overkill.

Fans are probably overkill as well. I run mine with just the heatsinks that were already attached to them, and they work just fine. I'm just careful if I ever need to handle them.  Wink

yea, no kidding... i'm currently running fifteen without fan using stock heatsink without issue. but man do i not touch them.
arklan!!!! shame on you!!! give 'em some lovin and put a small, slow and quiet fan on them!!  temps will drop several deca-degrees and they will last longer too Smiley

It's a temporary location their in, usually i do have fans on them. Pair of 120mm case fans.

arklan, please put me on the list as good for another four more if that option becomes available.

That is, I purchased two in the original buy.

I've already sent payment for the two which I'm qualified due to that.

And this is a request for another four if we end up with not all the original buyers exercising their option.

--

Per the groupbuy spreadsheet, at the moment, every original purchaser who has so far expressed an interest in buying more could buy 3x their original purchase in this 'customer appreciation' purchase and still the gross amount would be within the limit of 512.

IOWs, currently there is a commitment of 161 qualified 'customer appreciation' buys. Three times that is 483 which is less than the 512 limit.

For every original buyer at 2.1, if they were able to buy three more at 0.175, that would bring their average cost per unit down to about 0.65. Pretty close to today's 'retail' price per unit.

i like your math.

also, the first wave of 154 units has been paid for and shipped. well... it's paid for and I THINK shipped. friedcat said "here's the tracking info" but didn't actually provide any... which come to think of it makes sense since i haven't given him an address ...oh crap... he might mail it to utah. *panic*

yea, muyuu can get two, of course. more if they're available.

Okie, put me down in that list then.

When is payment due?

friday the 9th at the latest. i have enough to place the order as it is, so i'm just waiting on FC for where to send it.

How are to know how much to send?  Just assume we get the quantity we got before?

M

the quantity you got before is guaranteed. for now, pay for that. any left over will be divided up on friday, after people have had time to get in.

the 0.075 is per qty, or per order?

M

Per unit, same as last time.

So.. final price is 0.175 per unit including your 0.075?  Just making sure before I send payment.

M

correct.
