1321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early Adopter Proves Ownership of Bitcoin Address Claimed by Wright on: May 19, 2019, 09:55:33 AM
Wright is just making a fool of himself claiming to be satoshi, now that he needs to show proof it all came out that he had put a publicity stunt that ended up shaming himself.
1322  Economy / Gambling / Re: Game of Thrones Finale Bet - Win 3x Bitcoins to guess the New King or Queen on: May 19, 2019, 09:29:28 AM
How will you be able to pay back everyone with 10% extra if you "run out of funds"? That doesn't make sense. What if the total pot is 200 BTC and everyone wins? Do you have a spare 20 BTC to giveaway? You haven't even set any total pot limits in your post.

Also, to add credibility, you should sign a message from an address containing the funds so you know you're legit.

Also also, nobody is going to trust a brand new account with this. Use escrow or make a smart contract. Jeez louise.

Agree to this. There's no guarantee, the winner will win 3x of their bet and you are promising to return winning bets with extra 10%? And if there's a winner how can we verify if we would get the prize of the bet or the additional 10%? Only few of the choices are obviously the best pick for this bet, you'll know this if you really watch GOT.
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you suggest participate in airdrop? why? on: May 19, 2019, 03:33:14 AM
It depends if they're giving tokens for free without any hassle, then I would join it but if they would ask for too much information, I will refuse it. There are still good airdrops these days but we have to choose the good ones because most requires Kyc which is not really worth joining.
1324  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you secretive about trading currency? on: May 19, 2019, 02:54:31 AM
When people ask, What do you do for a living? I have a full-time job, but I also trade crypto-currency.  I do not like telling them about my currency and Bitcoin activities because when I tell people about trading currency online our relationship sometimes changes. They start scheming or they think "I can do that, better than you" and I suspect they want to secretly start trading too.

Does anybody relate to this?

I still have a full time job even when I have started trading. I have been asked by my workmates why do I save and earn money more than them and I have simply told them that I'm using my money wisely. We don't actually need to complicate things. People will always get envy if they would know that we're earning more than them so it's better to be secretive and live lowkey.
1325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the oldest bitcoin address you still have control over? on: May 19, 2019, 02:38:28 AM
I don't remember even one but I don't get the idea of asking for it. You didn't tell what's your purpose of asking for old addresses. This sounds strange, honestly. You should've told your reason for asking because it sounds suspicious.
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Same thing happens to everyone who tries that! on: May 19, 2019, 02:27:34 AM
Despite creating coins which could kill Bitcoin, no attempt has been successful because Bitcoin itself has built a strong foundation which no coin could ever break. Its reputation and value are firm that no controversy could affect it negatively. Bitcoin has passed all the tests of time so no matter how they try to kill it, they're only making it more resistant to any issues being thrown to it.
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin,Litecoin,Ethereum,Ripple,Doge on: May 18, 2019, 09:27:17 PM
Bitcoin and Ethereum have proven us a lot so I wouldn't put my hope in any coin except these two. At some instances, Ethereum js following the path of Bitcoin. I believe that this year would be another profitable year for most BTC and Eth holders.
1328  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: May 18, 2019, 09:01:20 PM
I believe that Bitcoin could reach higher but I can't see it reaching $50k since it hasn't reached $20K yet again. I don't want to expect higher because I don't want my expectations to disappoint me but all I see is that Bitcoin could reach better in the coming years.
1329  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any News About MoneyPot? on: May 18, 2019, 08:41:42 PM
I just visit the site and the last wager was made 17 hours ago ,
I wonder what happen but looking at their thread seems like they have some issue back in January.
And there was a new management what a shame it was a great platform for gambling.

You are referring to the old thread when it was handled by Rhavar, the new owner is Dogedigital IIRC
The big issue came once it is handled by Dogedigital when they gave a promise to buy back Rubbies in a fixed good price but it was not happening as promised imho.
Yeah it was a great gambling wallet that provide some great gambling application as well, but it seems that their popularity is gone already.

According to post from JackpotRacer, there were three owners: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2592025.msg26388829#msg26388829 . They were also deleting some legit questions as it appears and an alternate thread was created by JP here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2592025.0

They have failed and have lost their reputation with hollow promises. I don't think they are that much active judging by their social handles.

Yes, I still remember when RH sold moneypot to dogedigital and the other 2

Its a shame since moneypot v1 had so much going and it was such a great idea.

I do remember how popular this moneypot or do fly with colors into those earlier years until it is being passed or sold to another owners. They didnt able to retain on what RH been started.

I'm also dismayed and disappointed about it. They have built a good reputation before but they ruined it and people have lost their trust for MoneyPot. Let's wait and see if they could still do something about it but right now, they're on their downfall point.
1330  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Gambling related content (high quality) for sale on: May 18, 2019, 08:27:28 PM
Honestly, it would be hard for you to sell your gambling related content by sending personal messages here.
You can make a thread containing the description of what you're selling but you can't send it one by one if that's what you're trying to do. There are ways to promote it except for PMs.
1331  Economy / Gambling / Re: flashflip | PvP Gambling built right into Discord | 1% edge | Provably fair on: May 18, 2019, 03:50:27 AM
This is an improvement, I always saw discord as a dull social media platforms and I never gain interest in registering but if this project goes well I think it would be good for discord users and those that's going to join in latter. Just hope it's not going to be another scam in this series of scam related drama

I agree with you. I have never thought that discord would also be involved in gambling projects like this. The collaboration would be more effective if the project itself would focus on providing good services such as entertainment which players could gain both profit and satisfaction.
1332  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: FORTNITE Tournament Sponsored by NanoGames.io - Win up to 1000 NANO on: May 18, 2019, 03:26:26 AM
Do you mean June 1st? I have followed you on twitch, joined your discord and registered. I would keep updated before the tournament. It will be exciting since I have been playing Fortnite regularly. I hope I could still get 1 spot. I'm sure that a lot of players would be joining.
1333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung is Adding Cryptocurrency Wallet to its Budget Phones on: May 17, 2019, 08:37:52 PM
If it will be giving us an assurance of having the security that we're all looking for then it will surely be great news for Samsung lovers. There are also phone brands that feature crypto wallet but I'm more comfortable in using Samsung since then.
1334  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining in the cloud vs simply buying bitcoin on: May 17, 2019, 07:53:20 PM
I tried cloud mining before but it didn't work for me. I don't know if there's still a huge number of cloud miners nowadays where it isn't as profitable as before anymore. I would rather focus on buying and holding bitcoin than expecting a profit from cloud mining. It will just disappoint you.
1335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: pump end or only correction? on: May 17, 2019, 07:18:23 PM
As for me, it's just a correction that we have mistaken for a big pump. It's natural since bitcoin is a volatile asset. It naturally occurs before the bull run as what happened last 2017. Bigger things might happen in the market so we should keep on hoping for the best.
1336  Economy / Speculation / Re: after only a few days the bitcoin has gone up, but now it's starting to fall aga on: May 17, 2019, 06:31:25 PM
Panic selling is actually happening right after the panic buying. People are unaware that they're also contributing to the sudden changes in the price of bitcoin. A strong holder would know when to hold and when to release. We wouldn't reach our target goal if we'll always doubt about the market.
1337  Economy / Speculation / Re: Taking profits but don't be afraid! on: May 17, 2019, 05:17:13 PM
Bitcoin has proven us a lot and I guess that's already a reason enough for us to trust it. They always say that the bigger the risk you are taking, the bigger the profit that you will be gaining so we should be brave to invest. The problem sometimes is our emotions. Bitcoin is volatile and it will always go up and down.
1338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacked Cryptocurrency Exchange Cryptopia Goes Into Liquidation on: May 17, 2019, 04:51:08 PM
Dex should focus on the development of their security measures that would protect the funds of their users. It has been the struggle and agony of most of the holders in Dex these days. The number of users who choose Peer to peer transaction is increasing which means they're trusting it more than decentralized exchanges.
1339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you buy a coffee using BTC during current times? on: May 17, 2019, 03:38:07 PM
I don't want any hassle so if the cost of a coffee that I'm going to buy is that low, I would rather use cash to buy it. I won't complicate things when there is actually an easier way for me to buy with no fees needed. I would use it when purchasing goods at a higher cost which is worth the fee.
1340  Economy / Economics / Re: MICROSOFT WANTS TO "PROTECT" YOUR IDENTITY WITH BITCOIN on: May 17, 2019, 03:14:04 PM
There will be pros and cons if it happens. We all know that we all need security but I don't think Microsoft could provide the security that we're all looking for without giving us any doubt. There are lots of possibilities that might happen unexpectedly. If microsoft could protect the entire blockchain access, then it would be an advantage for most of users.
