141  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Filipino crypto users on: October 16, 2021, 08:11:20 PM

142  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit "trading" - buying and selling Bitcointalk merit on: October 15, 2021, 06:38:58 PM
Merit system is a two edge sword. It has done both good and bad to the forum. The best thing about this system is that we can the post is coming from ab experienced user and is valid one.
The bad thing is that people are selling high merits account to people of low calibre. One more thing is if you are experience btc user, still you won't have much say on the forum.

I don't think this merit buying or selling should be a concern because all those buyers of merits are usually exposed. We have seen that some average and poor quality posts got many merits and on investigation they were found to be bought merits. If you buy merit, you are risking your account to get tagged.

This is not totally a major concern in the forum since provably on few members to this and its easily to exposed about those activities since we can see large quantities given on a nonsense post here, but its still good to discuss so that newbies will be aware about what bad consequences they will go thru if they do this and they will just waste their money for doing this activity since it needs more merit to rank up and for sure before they reach that they get busted and have a red trust.

I am glad that those who trade merits are monitored and exposed. However, I still see announcements for selling merits, mostly in local forums. Of course, both buyers and sellers do wrong to try to cheat the system, but in this case only the buyer gets the penalty. The sellers are still running their business.

You can report them or post a thread regarding on the activity they do so that they will be exposed on the bad things they do here, that would be a warning to other that never participate on any of this since all of your effort will go to waste and also your money since there's no one succeed on doing this buy and selling merits in this forum. Also its easy to spot those buyers especially the seller is known merit seller so there's no area to hide for the buyers if they really push to do this act.
I recall some people getting caught buying or exchanging merits, which is sort of unfair to other people who are working hard to produce excellent contributions in the topic. Fortunately, there are far too many users right now that are compiling or making threads for those accounts that employ this strategy. Let us urge everyone to do so because we are the ones who always put forth effort, yet just a few of us are rewarded for it every time we write anything nice.

144  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitvest is a scam on: October 11, 2021, 10:29:18 PM
I read in some places that lightlord is sick and that's why he can't enter the forum. If he is really sick, I wish him a speedy recovery. He hasn't logged into the forum since Sept 26. It's a serious illness that he probably didn't even have a chance to simply enter the forum and make a statement. This is a sad situation for people who have not received payment for about 10 weeks. I hope he gets over his illness soon and makes the payments.
This can explain the delay in weekly paiement for signature campaign participants [Bitvest,777Coin] but no one has confirmed that the illnes of LightLord is the reason for the hotwallet to remain empty for a long time. However, LightLord hasn't logged into the forum since September 26 while signature campaign participants have a payment delay since about 10 weeks. This should somehow rise some Flags, but far to call it as a confirmd scam.
I see more complaints about delayed withdrawals in their  campaign ANN threads. It's a little bit scary how community is waiting for a single person to come back and solve everything, i thought the casinos are running with full team and not managed by a single person .
Yes, it's really alarming, especially for those campaign participants who have yet to get their payment. I think that it's already a significant red flag, especially for signature campaign participants and gamblers, because money is involved here and there hasn't been a solution for a week. I propose looking for another worthwhile platform that has no payment troubles and will provide you with assurance and a reputable platform.

The thread starter was online two days ago and did not reply to any of the comments, this goes to show clearly how this thread was made to throw bitvest and a new account accusing a well-known gambling site of scam is quite unfortunate and should not be taken serious.
Even if the OP is a newbie, we have no right to invalidate this unless it is proven that the statement is incorrect; nonetheless, everyone has learned that there are also issues in the campaign itself, thus this gambling platform is very dangerous right now.
145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: October 11, 2021, 10:18:00 PM
As of now Manny Pacquiao had already hung his boxing gloves up and had retired from boxing to pursue a political career, specifically aiming to run for a presidential position by 2022 Philippine National Elections. Personally I don't think not many people will ever be on his side even if he did Philippines a great deal of honor by carrying its name in each fight. Thing is he is already appointed as a senator and he barely attends during important stuff because of "training". Not to mention the fact that this same guy released a homophobic and misogynistic statement last year telling people that Gay people are worse than animals.
I do think that it's just another sweet words for him. He has said the same thing before when he's also running for a public post. Nevertheless, if his retirement is for real and he's aiming for a higher public post. He has to take care on how he's going to spend his fortune and won't be gone too soon because in campaign periods, there's really a lot of money that's going to flow from each candidate and on him, he's wealthy yes, but his wealth has a limit.
Furthermore, it is extremely difficult for him to become the next President of the Philippines, and most people are disappointed in him for pursuing a political career despite his lack of expertise about it. I'm confident that if he is elected President, he would focus on the job rather than boxing, because being President is a demanding position in which you must protect your citizens. I'm sure he's tired of boxing and that's why he's running for president; I believe it's the beginning of the end.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The HODL to 100K movement on: October 11, 2021, 08:20:50 PM
What you're thinking right now is impossible; nonetheless, we can do it; but, keep in mind that there will be some who will be tempted to cash out before everyone else. People who want to profit from bitcoin will undoubtedly sell their assets because it is the most sensible thing to do. And, most of the time, people are in need of cash, so they will sell the coins rather than keep them. There's nothing we can do about it; it's already a cycle in many markets, and people have different characteristics, so it's really impossible to hold till we accomplish the peak.
147  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who else has your passphrase on: October 11, 2021, 08:03:40 PM
No one wishes for calamity nor is any wishing to die young but we leave in world where death could come at any point. What will happen to your portfolios the numerous coins in your wallet. The XRPs, the doge, the Shiba Inu and the noble Bitcoin in that wallet will it go into the network without accessibility.

Imagine after gathering all the coins you can afford to gather and no one can access your wallet should in case something terrible occurs will the investment still worth all the time and effort devoted to acquire them?
Right now, only I know the passphrase of my wallets. In case that I might leave this world, I'll gonna note everything even the steps on how to access my wallets if ever they found that note so my assets can still be used by them. Of course, it will be gonna a waste of time and effort if no one will get my money so better ready a note that probably gonna help them to access those wallets and of course, it should be given to your family only or people that you trust.
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Poker Rooms on: October 11, 2021, 07:51:05 PM
I'm planning to play some time, hopefully I get to win some although I haven't played poker in a while so it's really a challenge to play when there's stakes in line.
You might want to try downloading a poker app so you can get back in shape, poker rooms are an unforgivable place, you don't want to get caught off-guard in those games especially if it involves real money.

Agree there are ton of apps now a days that you can play it for free so that you can feel it and also be comfortable of after a few years of quitting. Thats the best thing to do first before jumping or involved with money. Also there are website that will give you credits upon creating account or a signing up bonus which you can take it as an advantage to make you feel comfortable with the website
Zynga Poker is, in my opinion, one of the best poker apps available today; I use it when I want to play poker before going to real-money poker rooms. Of course, we need to sharpen up on our poker skills and memorize all of the card combinations in order to win the game. I'm sure there are many pros in poker, especially those who know when to call or fold based on the percentages of the cards they hold. It's a great risk to play in a poker room with money involved if you don't know how the game works; it'll only lead to defeat.
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake bets on: October 11, 2021, 07:37:33 PM
I really hate Lying site because this comes to fooling people/gamblers  if a company really paying for this fake bets streaming then i think there is something to explain for.
though almost every casino has their own strategy and i also believe that many of them are doing the same faking of bets.

regardless of whether this action is called cheating or not, I think this goes back to an individual perspective because here especially in this case there are no written rules about something.
and when you look at it from one side to the other this is a strategy they use to attract fans, regardless of whether it's dirty or not, they are sure to succeed.
and here we can't blame the people who work with the casino because they are just workers. what needs to be emphasized is why you are interested because it is clear that such a thing must have been arranged.
I believe there are no deceptive gambling platforms because those gains and losses will always depend on you regardless of what happens in the game, it's a battle of luck, and we must not forget that this is still gambling. As long as the platforms pay, those fake bets by streamers might be nothing more than advertisements, similar to what other influencers or models do to make a product look good.

One of the issues here is that many are quite greedy, seeking to share the same rewards as the streamers. These methods, or should we say advertisements, are only intended to lure consumers; it is still your responsibility to observe and research the gambling platform, and your winnings will be decided by your luck, not theirs. 150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 11, 2021, 07:25:40 PM
We're now in the main event.

Team Secret is on the upper bracket and their first opponent is none other than the TI defending champions, OG. While the good and great contender for this year's championship, PSG.LGD will be having their match against T1.

Those that are at the upper bracket have a quicker way to the finals but they also have a chance at the lower bracket once they're out of the upper bracket.

Yeah upper bracket only need 3 wins to go final while lower bracket need 6 win to go final . and on the first day of the main event, there was a big match against secret against OG. Surely many are waiting for this match. and from head to head statistic, Team Secret is more dominant than OG . because of their playstyle we will see .

Overall, the statistics are impressive.

Basically, Team Secret is good at this current meta; I really enjoy how they play right now, and let's not forget that OG has been adjusting since two of their prior players, Ana and Jerax, retired from Dota pro. They still have a chance to win the tournament because they won the Western Europe league. Well, it's a coin flip, 50-50 for me, and I'm not sure who will win later.
151  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: October 11, 2021, 06:57:41 PM
I'm looking forward to the later TI match after daybreak!

The first match is IG vs Team Spirit while the second match in the upper bracket, OG versus Team Secret, we know what's going to happen and who's going to win, but Team Secret is also making plays right now and has an amazing team synergy, so it's still a 50-50 for me.
The rest of the fights tomorrow are lower bracket matches, but I'm cheering for FNATIC because two of their players are from my country.
152  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: October 11, 2021, 06:41:46 PM
Previously they used to drop codes in the form of texts until they switched to banner to lessen the bot farming them.

Roobet omit some of the obvious words before they drop it to ensure that bots cant really use it instantly.

This was dropped in Telegram on 7th. The reason that most coupon codes expired after just few minutes are most likely not because of bots but people tend to share them in the room chat after it was dropped. There are tons of people that are ready to copy and paste it whenever it was shared on the chatroom so yeah
I'm sure there are specialized groups that are still farming those offers, even though they are about to expire in a few minutes, and they will take advantage of them manually. However, the Roobet team is making an effort to ensure that no bots are employed in those codes. AFAIK, gambling platforms are among the platforms that use a large number of bots and alt accounts to claim bonuses and referrals which is against the rules so it's an assurance for a new user that the team is making good progress on these simple problems.
153  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: October 11, 2021, 06:20:50 PM
it could be gambling is activity not only for fun but also to earn money for him
I don't think so, no. If someone has so many BTC at his disposal to gamble with for a total of 350 million dollars, he certainly doesn't need to work anymore, even if he would use all his capital for the games.

One must not forget: Many people got into Bitcoin, Ethereum and co very early and are now multimillionaires. These people play purely for entertainment, they probably don't even care if a bet of 100k goes wrong.
Well, there are already a lot of billionaires thanks to cryptocurrencies, thus there are some cases where people are only playing the game with high bets for fun. I can't believe they're still doing it instead of helping others who are in need. Well, It's their money, and it's not their responsibility to aid the poor, but imagine wasting a hundred thousand dollars to have fun, that's already in a different level and doesn't care about it.
154  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Instant BTC,ETH & LTC withdraws | $100k+/week contest | VIP | on: October 11, 2021, 06:02:41 PM

It's one of the gambling platforms that has gained a lot of trust and great feedback in the forum over the years, and the team behind it has already invested a lot of money and effort to make it one of the best platforms. I'm looking forward to another contest or review campaign, and I'd like to help promote it and make it more well-known in the forum. It's one of the OGs! Cool
155  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo0.2BTC DailyJackpot$32,500 Wager Contest on: October 11, 2021, 02:49:58 PM
I just won 3500 lottery tickets on WOF from the daily spins (premium member) and 3500 reward points from the promotional email.

When it rains, it pours they said Grin (seriously, it's been raining the whole day here)

Its so disappointing to me winning tickets, becouse at the end win people with less then 200 tickets like the previus winners.  Roll Eyes Imagine producing 150 tickets a week and win 0.99 btc mindblow
~
Well it's called lottery for good reason. It's true that the more tickets you hold, the higher chance you get but it's never a guarantee. It could take years or it could never come at all.

It doesn't disappoint me anymore because I'm already used to not winning it Grin (I had over 7000 tickets in the last round).
Who's hoping to win the lottery if everyone gets a lottery ticket and the majority of freebitco.in users have a lot of lottery tickets? The likelihood of winning a lottery is quite low. If everyone has the same number of lottery tickets, you have no advantage in a lottery, and it's called a lottery for a reason: it's difficult to win even if you put all of your money into it.

I'm also used to it, not hoping to win the lottery especially if you have low lottery tickets.
156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which alt coin is best investment for long term? on: October 11, 2021, 02:26:31 PM
Any alt coin suggestion expect ada.In my point of view of ada still can't surpass ETH in the smart contract field and even if they can make it will be hard to be replace existing eth smart contract eco system. Moreover late coming project like sol even surpassing to ada,all things ada have is the loyal user base and nothing special things in tech
Why don't you look at the top gainers on an exchange platform and the top altcoins on coinmarketcap or coingecko? You can find a lot of altcoins that are worth investing in. I don't want to invest in other cryptocurrencies that are now highly stable due to no advancements or updates in the project. Right now, I'm only looking forward to BNB, ADA, BTC, and ETH, as well as certain shitcoins that provide me easy double or triple money.
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How you choose projects for investment on: October 11, 2021, 02:12:23 PM
1. Team (most of the famous developers worked in google and facebook)
2. Strong community (more than 100k on Twitter and a very strong forum)
3. Own blockchain (develop their own structure with their own EVM and cross-chain)
4. Solving existing problems in cryptocurrency (high fees, transaction processing speed, scalability)
Yeah, I agree with you on these factors to examine when selecting a campaign because these are the fundamental and common factors that will offer you assurance in the project. There is money involved in these ventures, and it is highly recommended that you examine everything before investing money into it because there is a significant risk. Always check to see if the team exists or if it is made up of phony persons, because if the project has a doxxed team, it is definitely worth investing in them as long as the aims and objectives are in your best interests.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron network VS Binance Smart Chain on: October 11, 2021, 12:56:12 PM
How many TRC20 tokens are on top 20 on coinmarketcap? Tron itself is the only coin in top 20 so that says alot about Tron TRC20 blockchain, I only use Tron usdt to avoid high transaction fee, in 2018 I invested in few TRC20 projects and they later switched back to ERC20 ETH
There are not many coins that use the TRC20 network in the top 20 coinmarketcap, but overall TRON itself is not bad because there are also some coins that already use the ERC20 network also use TRC20 for a more complete service to its users.
I have to agree on this, I also just use it to transfer USDT on Tron's network just because of the low fees there and the availability of USDT on tron network almost everywhere unlike Bsc's USDT or BUSD, BSC is more popular now maybe their exchange being that big helped a lot, so a lot of projects would prefer to use it instead of Tron because now there are way more investors in BSC's network.
If you send BUSD from Binance to any BEP20 address, there is no transaction cost; they have a comparable feature. And, as you mentioned, they're also popular in BSC; most investors are using BNB and investing in BSC projects, particularly in NFT games under BSC; people are really into it. A lot of projects have been created in BSC, and the majority of them are pumping like any other altcoin; even currencies that are mentioned or searched in any social media site have been created in BSC.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Shiba Inu Coin a better investment than Dogecoin? on: October 11, 2021, 12:45:09 PM
In terms of use-case, Dogecoin is far superior to Shiba Inu currency because it is accepted by a much larger number of merchants.

Shiba Inu is just another meme coin with no use-case and I'm sure no or just a few merchants take it as payment. Both of them increased solely due to hype, as a result of Elon Musk tweeting about it, and I believe it is not worthwhile to buy in either currency unless there is a hype about it.
160  Economy / Economics / Re: Have you been grateful for today? on: October 11, 2021, 12:11:37 PM
I just opened Facebook and read a short, but meaningful post. in the post it says

Quote
A mountain of gold would not be enough for a greedy person.
But, a plate of food is enough for a grateful person

I ponder when I do daily trading in the crypto market, I often get profit even though it is not too much, But I am always annoyed and irritated if the profit I get is not on target. I forgot to be grateful and hopefully, I can be a grateful person even though I get a little profit from crypto trading.
Thank you for the reminder, but I'm the type of person that is always grateful for what I receive every day, even if it's not much.

I genuinely value it and consider it a big blessing because some people can't even reach what I'm achieving today, so it's enough for me to be pleased. Even a modest percentage gain results in a profit, and I'm relieved that no red text appears.
