1021  Economy / Economics / Re: Coronavirus is very harmful to fiat currencies, not bitcoin on: October 18, 2020, 07:23:55 AM
Well, it still depends on the government, if they handled the situation quite good then they don't need to have debts on our countries that will affect the fiat currencies.

All of the actions that will make our economy into downfall is because of our leaders' decision to our country.

The currency is affected at some point because of coronavirus but imagine if they are competent and such conditions, maybe we aren't suffering on this pandemic right now.
1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin used for illegal activities on telegram on: October 18, 2020, 04:41:11 AM
It's not a new thing, cryptocurrency is just an asset and some huge criminal activities are also using fiat in the transaction. So it's not because of the cryptocurrency, it's because there are people who like doing bad things and they just used the features of crypto to their escape. Anything can be used in criminal activities, the advancement of technology isn't the fault that there are many criminals. Even at medical technology, many are using it for their own good instead of using it for developing the health care system. The technology isn't the fault, it's the human's fault that for a criminal mindset, using it for their own good.
1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Covid 19 on: October 18, 2020, 04:02:00 AM
It depends on what kind of business you have and if your consumers are also into cryptocurrency. You're a businessman, hence you can determine if it's profitable if you shifted your business into cryptocurrency. If you will just use cryptocurrency as a short-term way for your business, it might be difficult for you since supply and demand is what crypto is working.

Remember that there will be always risk, if you are slighty doing good during the pandemic, stay and improve your business.
1024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Say btc is Not ponzi but its look like ponzi on: October 18, 2020, 03:12:15 AM
omegalul, how BTC became a Ponzi? you don't even need 3rd party people/platform to invest in it.

It's an asset like stocks and fiat, it doesn't involve any system that makes it Ponzi which is the pyramiding.

If you hate cryptocurrency, it seems that you disregarded all of the facts about them and makes you in this kind of mindset. Learn before talk.
1025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SATOSHI !!! IS THIS LEGIT? on: October 17, 2020, 06:13:06 PM
There are a lot of people already claimed that they're Satoshi Nakamoto, and proofs aren't enough to claim the name.

I respect Satoshi Nakamoto, the fact that he didn't show his face to the public, he wants to avoid politics in his creation that's why he remains in the shadow.

It's very risky to show his self because probably, many people will hunt him and his identity will cost a lot.
1026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some of the benefits of Bitcoin ... on: October 17, 2020, 04:57:54 PM
Bitcoin has made a lot of benefits to society and to the financial system. Bitcoin isn't created just to gain more profit on it but because of its unique features, the reason why many people are using it. Blockchain is a next-level technology that super complex but definitely have a good usage.

Many people are already gaining a lot of profit in the finance through trading and investment, and that's mainly because of bitcoin.
1027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The acceptance of cryptocurrency worldwide on: October 17, 2020, 03:41:28 PM
International transfers between countries via bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies can be done by anyone, but unfortunately we still need traditional banking to withdraw crypto funds into local currencies, and it happens here. looking forward to cryptocurrency adoption is my hope too.
Same case here in my country. We still need the traditional way which is the banking system for us to withdraw our money and use those we have earned through trading and such. Also, it's impossible for a worldwide adaptation since some countries already banned the use of cryptocurrency.

And also, there's a lot to consider such as the control of money and the internet provider which is some countries are having difficulties with the connection.

^Ram space is understandable because after all you are using this website to gamble so there are many things going on and they show it to you, which causes it to use ram space and if you use multiple tabs that basically means you are going to spend a ton of ram in order to do multiple times.

However I do not get the CPU, my computer is not the one that is doing the calculations is it? I mean the server side should be doing it and not my PC, so that means CPU of the server should be working hard to get the results, I have no idea what the CPU usage is caused by, ram makes sense but the CPU one confuses me a bit. In any case GPU is definitely safe and not used, for anyone worrying about something like mining or whatever do not be afraid it is not using that. And we know now that the software will always be updated when there is a wrong bug it will probably be heavy and if the specs are limited for your PC of course it will make it even harder.
Prosessor; i7
Ram; 16GB
SSD; 256GB

Maybe with a computer spec like that it will be more comfortable to use to open multiple tabs in the browser. Grin Grin

And we know now that the software will always be updated when there is a wrong bug it will probably be heavy and if the specs are limited for your PC of course it will make it even harder.
It's too OP.

Even I3 can run multiple tabs as long as you have 8-16GB RAM because browsers eat a lot of RAM usage. Also, if you're using a popular browser such as google chrome, it will definitely have a high ram usage because of its features on the browser especially CPU. I recommend mozilla or the microsoft edge, lesser ram usage, and already tested it on my data training process. CPU has nothing to do with browsers unless you have extensions or add ons that might need extra usage on the processors.
1029  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: October 11, 2020, 11:41:46 PM
I haven't read the previous posts in this thread but I like to ask if they have plans adding a sportsbetting option in the site.
Honestly, I don't think this is right time for them to add a sportsbook section since they are primarily focusing on their casino for now and they will probably will continue to do so in the near future until they reach their goals.

The crypto sportsbook market is currently saturated in my opinion and rushing to add a sportsbook section just because their rivals are doing so could prove detrimental to their future profits.
Reach their goals? Basing of in numbers then I can say that this would be enough and theyre approaching 1 Billion bets and it isn't really a bad idea if they will add up

sportsbetting option just like any other famous site out there.Even if they would put this one it doesn't really affect or would be bad on the site but rather they will give out

more options that might other gamblers will be interested about. We know on how big sports bettor here on crypto space and if they will plan to go into that market then
they would really have the chance on getting players.
Maybe they're looking for chances to add sports betting in their site, we don't know if it's on their list or not.

Yes, Roobet is already popular and there are many users who spend money daily on their platform but it isn't the right time and it doesn't mean they should pursue another just because they're many recent bets.

I guess, devs are focusing on the casino like improving and developing it where they earn the most but I agree that more profit will come if sports betting is one of their options, new gamblers will come.

Over a week now has passed since I show interest in the multiplayer test.

How can we access the multiplayer beta phase? Via PM or there's a specific link for these?

I suggest opening up public access so that anyone can test it in their free time as we are in different timezones.
According to him, just pm him, he will give you access.
So, multiplayer is live but only for some users for testing. If you would like also to have a look whats is happening then post me your username  or pm me and I will give you an access. We can test it and play all together and have chat. Not for the real money yet.
When occurring a beta test, I doubt it will result in a good test since there's a lot of players, they can't observe if it's efficient and conducting well.
Also, they need feedbacks from reputable members of bitcointalk so they can measure the changes based on the feedbacks of the members they give access to it.
1031  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best online gaming platform on: October 11, 2020, 10:14:21 PM
~~

Those who come to gamble with the thought of becoming rich, they lose everything very quickly. Gambling websites are designed to keep the owners safe, gamblers don't get much here. So in the case of players, they have to play depending on their luck. So this is the reality that if someone is a winner, then someone else has made a loss.

Those who can control themselves in gambling and use some good strategy can do good in gambling. But the idea of getting rich by gambling is wrong.
It is a known fact that not everyone can be a winner while betting on a game, if it is casino based the wins are based on the probability.Yes owners make more money than the highest reward payee for sure and its rare to see a casino goes bankrupt if they have enough players so everyone need to understand this fact before they are going for gambling if they don't want to lose money then they shouldn't choose gambling at all.

Everyone knows it, but those who pretend not to know suffer later. There are many gamblers I have seen who have lost their wealth just to take gambling for the wrong purpose. Again I have seen some gamblers who have done well by gambling, their wealth has increased a lot. So everything has its good and bad sides, so everything here depends on which way you take it.
It will always depend on the player how he will executw things on gambling. It's very hard to win in gambling and many people the mindset of winning to gain money. If you didn't treat gambling as an entertainmemt, you may suffer by playing and spending a lot just to win. Gambling isn't a money-making tool unlessyou are in the professional scene.
1032  Economy / Economics / Re: Anybody here trying to live bankless (using Bitcoin / cryptocurrencies)? on: October 11, 2020, 09:53:34 PM
It seems a good in idea in the future but like what I'm trying to say, it's very hard to implement. Similar topic of yoyrs was also posted on local, aiming to be a cashless society where we use digital payments. There are many things we should consider on implementing cashless or bankless such as all people are aware of using it and reliable net connection for daily transaction. Another thing is the volatility of cryptocurrency, lile what the other says, not very stable.
1033  Economy / Economics / Re: Internet shutdowns by governments are bad for corporate marketing on: October 11, 2020, 05:33:57 PM
Internet connection is very important in our daily lives, especially now that not only workers or businesses depends on it but also our children who study at home through online study. The government should not do this because through the internet, people can find a solution to earn money and live and no longer have to rely on help from them.
Internet connection nowadays plays a great part in our lives and it is not easy to abandon this reliable technology because we can earn profit here and survive. It's not just about corporate or any business because even individuals, value this access to the internet because it a means of communication to their relatives in long distances.

Especially right now where online classes are very mainstream right now, good internet is needed. We shouldn't always rely on traditional things, we should learn to adapt modern ways to advance our country, it's a wrong move to forbid people on using the internet.
1034  Economy / Economics / Re: "Humans will not be replaced by robots very soon" --- yeah right !!! on: October 11, 2020, 05:06:47 PM
nah, i just thought you r soo paranoid about this, if u want to know about my thought, as the time goes, people will be mixed with robots parts, like hand or legs or even face, but of course, without me in it,or you or even us, because it's still very long.
Well, he's not paranoid, if you are aware of how does the technology advances right now, it's very fast. Even artificial intelligence is evolving which stores a lot of data to define, process, or determine a single thing. Cyborg isn't that new because some people are already replacing some of their parts a digital parts.

So I'm thinking that it's possible that robots can be more intelligent and overpower us. I like watching sci-fi movies but I based this opinion of mine to my experiences and interaction with technology.

Try to read about the existing of cyborgs these days: https://medicalfuturist.com/the-worlds-most-famous-real-life-cyborgs/
1035  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: October 11, 2020, 04:34:53 PM
These are the consequences not so much of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic as too strict restrictive measures to combat the coronavirus. Under the influence of these measures, the gross domestic product in each country fell by tens of percent. At the same time, prices are rising, including for food. In my country, this is not yet very noticeable. Unemployment is growing, people are running out of money. Because of this, purchasing power falls, and therefore prices do not rise too much.

Purchasing power falls because when there are no jobs, the circulation of money also seize or limited. Money needs to be circulating for the economy to grow and if this does not happen, gross demestic product diminish. Every economy need to be productive for the good of all .

Prices of essential are still rising in my country and not even being stable or reducing it. People purchasing power is falling and only those who have a regular income are able to spend or even they have reduced the unnecessary spending because the future may be uncertain with industries getting effected due to pandemic.
Yes because all of us are affected in the pandemic, some aren't but they're also taking this advantage to gain more and live a wonderful life.

That's how businessman thinks, they will grab any opportunity to grow their income annually.

It's very disappointing that many people have that kind of mindset instead of helping each other to endure the situation we are facing. The worst part of this pandemic is, we will experience pricey things in the future since we aren't still COVID-19 free.
1036  Economy / Economics / Re: The 2nd generation of banking is going digital on: October 11, 2020, 04:09:32 PM
I enjoy the feature of new online banking of some popular banks here in my country because it makes me easy to cash in and cash out money especially when it comes to my local BTC wallet. It's a good concept also because we can easily pay bills through online banking which is very essential this pandemic. We aren't required to the good outside just to pay bills because online banking is the one that will make your life easy.

Another good feature of online baking is we can transfer money on different wallet platforms. Applying for debit cards becomes easy too because of online banking.
1037  Economy / Economics / Re: Will African countries be developed? on: October 11, 2020, 03:39:22 PM

it's just that in Africa it is probably the worst.

Worst if you say so and that is because of bad leadership that is a result of corruption and bad policy implication. But looking down very well, it is not only Africa but third world but Africa is in spotlight because of its large size and the people of Africa are in active participation in global affairs.

Also because it's been a long decades and still same policy and same politics that keep Africa way far from every third world countries. There's no real changes between leaders.

Africa needs people who can lead them to bring modernizations and good educations, concern leaders that will bring them to challenged poverties and not just after wealth.
Agree, it always depends on the government who handles the country so if they fail, then the country itself will also fail. Once corruption started in a country, it's hard to recover because of debts so I can't blame the current and future leaders because of course, they can't stand the past corruption that happens and expects other debts this pandemic.

If nothing changes in the currency country then it's obvious that it will remain the same.
1038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: October 11, 2020, 02:19:13 PM
I think even if let's say this is a title fight, there's still no risk on Manny as no way Conor McGregor can win against the legendary boxer.

That would be unfair if that actually happens.

Am I the only one thinking that this for sure is an exhibition match? Other boxers are grinding their ways for that fight and every boxer would love to pick a fight to try their best grabbing a belt and Connor would easily take a shot at getting it? That is just unfair. Even though I love to see this match, if that is the case, I would be against the fight.
Same thought.

Yeah, this will just become an exhibition match because they're on a different field. There's no way McGregor can easily grab a title just because he's good on other sports.
Many good boxers are trying to climb up to try fighting Manny Pacquiao and claim the title in case they win. It will become unfair if they include the titles in this match.
1039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: October 11, 2020, 01:37:04 PM
Skill games for me are one of the risks to play because you cannot measure the capability of a person.
Well, you won't play in a game where you lack experience in a game, and probably if you can't measure the person's capability in a game, you can know based on experiences, concept, and idea what he/she will do. If I know myself that I'm very good at a specific gambling game, I'll go play with it and spent all the bettings on where I have odds in winning.

For some, it might be risky but I realize that it depends on the person if he lacks experience or not, but for me who is casually playing gambling, traditional gambling games is better.
1040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: World 2020 - LoL World Championship on: October 11, 2020, 01:11:26 PM
I didn't really expect that TSM would fall as early as now, omg doublelift's hand kinda rusty I guess compare to chinese and korean players. I'm rooting for SKT since then but  they failed to come up to worlds this year, this kinda sad and then I rooted for TSM at the start then this happened. You guys got any team than TOP?
TSM was honestly quite a HUGE disappointment this worlds. Heck, the issue of them being destroyed is already being laughed at by a lot of players right now. Gengi and FNC are both playing pretty well, compared to how TSM was just literally a sad team right now imo. Damwon being at the top of their group stage seems natural to me, they were always a strong team after all. My take on why SKT failed? They're still in the middle of integrating with each other. It's sad to see, yes, but well, they were on the top for a few years, but they failed to take the opportunity to improve from there sadly enough.
Agree, it's a 9-man sleep bruh. When spica pulled a 5-man lilting lullaby, his 4 teammates are standing there like they're been affected with it. Tho, I respect their effort to make it in worlds but still, it's a huge disappointment for having 0-6 on the group stage. There are many TSM fans out there, they should triple the effort next time. Gen.G is pretty good during the group stage, managed to defeat TSM and LGD, and having a standing of 5-1.

I guess we have to say goodbye to UOL later if they didn't win 2-0.

Update: Like what i've said. it's goodbye UOL.
