1401  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: April 03, 2016, 03:58:58 AM
How does Marshall Long keep getting involved in crypto with the reputation he has? Josh Garza, Paul Vernon i mean Bao... How does any self respecting startup / bitcoin project choose to get him on board? He's shady at best and honestly from what i read in the news he hasn't actually really done anything. How does he keep getting in on these fuck ups?

I think its safe to start assuming that if any company has Marshall Long listed in any way its an immediate scam.

Maybe its time to start petitioning places that mention him with topic evidence and info.

Paul,

Could cryptsy release the casinocoin that you have locked up? If you do, I give you permission to keep all the other coins that you have locked up.

Cheers.

He's not Paul anymore... He's Bao. The Bao wulf of crypto wall street. No time for his ex children or his customers. Its all stealing anything thats not locked down.. changing your name and running off to china. See he's that dedicated to his customers... he's completing the contract on bitebi9 which is "totally" not his or project investors.

Im not sure why the law moves so slow.. there is no way you could fuck a clean cut case up. Its like josh garza... taking forever both are guilty as sin. Josh and Bao were in bed together... Josh being the brilliant cock he is probably suggested he change his name cause it will totallly avoid all lawsuits... much like how he went by homero and josh whenever he saw fit Smiley

The price drop has nothing to do with the android wallet. Its to do with the fact the price was pre pumped by a few with that conference coming up... people bought into it paid more for their dgb then they should have and the whales upping the price are now cashing down to profit.

The android wallet would only impact the price if a large percentage of users were using it. This is unlikely to be true and i suspect the majority use the windows, mac, linux core wallet.

Your price drop theory lacks any backup evidence and is just a reiteration of your frustrations with the android wallet.

I heard mention a while back that DCGirl and Pauls chinese mistress might be the same person xua or whatever her name was. DCGirl did programming on cryptsy towards the end and of all the people in the trollbox at the time she's one of the few that disappeared when vern did.

Anyone have any info on this or any links/ties?

Bruce Francis transferred some money to his dog walker to pay for services to his pit bull, and wrote the dog's name, "Dash," in the notes field.

The processors at Chase Bank thought that Dash might be a sneaky way of spelling Daesh (which is the mocking, insulting nickname used by critics to refer to "ISIS"), decided that this was possible terrorist money-laundering, and stopped the payment, froze his account, and notified the Treasury Department that he was a suspected terrorist.

Some may ask why we didn’t report this to the authorities when this occurred, and the answer is that we just didn’t know what happened, didn’t want to cause panic, and were unsure who exactly we should be contacting.

Two financially institutes abiding by the exact same rules, laws and guidelines. Chase Bank notified the TD simply because Daesh LOOKS like Dash; Paul Vernon of Cryptsy was unsure who exactly to contract after an over ten million dollar heist he cleverly dubs an event.

Results: Paul Vernon doesn't report the crime to any 3-LA, but offers up a bounty whereupon NUTTERS come out of the woodwork that Paul's more than happy to work with at first.

<sarcasm> yeah but cryptcracker had a plausable story..... jim and paul said so so it must be true trust them!
1406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: General POS coin question on: March 31, 2016, 11:11:19 PM
sprouts as well not on list. 1 billion coins, 2% a day ready for staking at day 5.

netcoin has pir rate. its halved and is now 45% a year at 10 million coins, i think 35% at 1 million scales up to 45% between 1-10 million. stakes every 6 hours, low cpu wallet small blockchain. i like getting smaller more regular stakes on bittrex @ 82 sat atm each.

i have some tekcoin but i dislike the 30 day wait other than that its good.

i tried hyperstake but the competitive staking model wasnt for me and having to worry about input sizes. i just wanted drop in wallet and forget.

staking is a nice alternative to pow mining. you should do your ownresearch before investing and if still keen i recommend getting a small amount 0.2btc maybe worth to trial of the pos coins you like.

Im surprised cryptsy ceo paul aka bao posted that it was a troll sorry about that. Its usual practice they wait 12-14 months before telling everyone.

Does Paul want to now tell everyone why cryptsy is still in maintenance? Must be running on a pentium 100mhz doing those table reindexes etc. Maybe Jim can shed some light... though likely not as the seem to only come post when it works in their favour. Cmon Jim surely you have answers aside from a sorry about tha paul vernon blog post. You owe it to your customers at a minimum after all the funds of theirs you lost and the dishonesty you displayed towards them in hiding it.

I think Cryptsy Jim should share the plausable story with everyone. Its not like its all NDA rubbish. Unless he does that i guess its just business as usual with cryptsy holding information behind the scenes from users again. Nothings changed...

I will do my best to keep the prices above 100 but when i pass the 100 million coin mark I don't want to get anymore as it will be bad for distribution, if the price goes below 100 sat I will buy at 60 sat until I have 150 million coins, after this I stop. Those in the community that can afford 30-50btc should help me prevent a price collapse.

Why would people help keep the price up so people have more btc to dump into? Trying to hold things above a level is stupid... its like going against nature and you can't win that one. You let the market progress naturally. People will buy where its considered good for them and likewise sell the same. This is what gets stability... not desperation from 1 person on a direction it should go.

There is some manipulation of price going on... dgb has grown a new floor but this big jump was accumulation and wall drive up in anticipation for Jareds talk which got people into a frenzy. They profited on this... it will now go down a little its only natural. Just watch and see they'll take their profits and dgb will settle to where the market and majority of normal investors value it.

Im mining cpu with crazy speed. Using DataLiquid  Grin

Just for the community and nerds....

....more like idiots.

Great way to ruin your CPU and MOBO . . .

Don't try this at home.   Cheesy

Looks like some moron put thermal paste on the wrong side. For the others here don't try this at home it doesn't work. The chips internals make heat... the thermal paste helps dissipate the heat from the top of the cpu into the aluminium heatsink. Air is a poor heat transfer medium so the paste helps out to get it to the heatsink which with the fan removes the heat faster. Putting it under the cpu will screw the contacts up from the motherboard... it wont work. Someone is trying to be funny.

Morning all from the UK

Big day ahead hope all goes well for Jared & the DGB Team
I dont want to post something in a trollbox if its just BS so can anyone clarify if this is real from Jared or not?

https://twitter.com/Dennahz/status/715051257480757248
yes!

Thank you...Just on the strength of that I thought it would be a good idea to buy some more DGB...It would be rude not too

Be careful I have seen this many times in the past before an event or update is about to take place. Not saying the price should not be at this level but usually a dump follows an announcement, maybe this time it will be different.

I think you are correct. The walls are being put in place but they are fake walls.. no even spread its a few people putting big amounts to pull later to give the false impression of a strong lower buy side. Always the case with big events people capitalise on it. The coins strong but i don't think its yet break 100 sat strong over long term. Its floors are getting higher though which is good. Just being realistic.

For all the attention that DGB is getting currently, this guy is making your coin & community look like idiots.

With the name he uses he looks like he speaks for MYR.

Nah. The sentiment over there is that poster is being foolish. Supporters of dgb have nothing but respect for myriad crypto as the source of its multi algo addition. This person is only giving themself a bad name. I hope myriadcoin comtinues to innovate and prosper personally.

Idiot, No official word/press release from Riot. now stop this bs you ignorant ****.

Might be best to remain calm and answer them with facts and counter arguments. Myriad and his alts haven't actually made a concrete accusation statement. Just saying a diff change though there are often issues with code on a logic basis... back in uni the code i wrote i thought worked and had logical issues that caused incorrect outputs it happens. To err is human. Myriad from what i've read is a little bitter from digibytes multi algo and myriadcoins and has taken it upon him/herself to go on a personal crusade and its only escalated after they demanded a recognition post and it wasn't provided... prior to this there wasn't this level of hostility.

Nice summary. I think you should actually read my post about the history of digibyte properly, though. Actually read it and think about the way digibyte has manipulated its supply. I'm not just bitter about them lying about being first to multi-algo... This is an issue that anyone can research for themselves and no big time player is going to make any serious partnerships with DGB because of it.

To be honest, multi-algo is a really experimental concept. Myriad might fail, and I'm completely ok with that. I'm not suggesting people invest in it. But I want multi-algo to succeed on its own merits. I don't want it to die out with a pump and dump untested...

I read your post. Launched with broken diff.. likely true the retargetting points allowed hefty amounts to throw it out of whack this was the case with lots of coins with pools that mined the profitable coin of the day. Digishield came in to fix this.

The peaks and dips on your graph are when there were pump and dumps (one is happening now fyi). These were from people acquiring i.e. whales that go for profits on all coins and take silly investors for a roller coaster ride. To say it was the dgb core team and Jared is just conspiracy thoery. Its like saying when bitcoin pumps and dumps its satoshi doing it... death to the creator. If you believe there to be a team collusion with coin supply show some addresses that acquired big amounts and are sending to poloniex and bittrex. Then link those to the dev team from an insta mine or 2014 broken manipulated diff.

You're reading into graphs with your explanation without proof.

If you want substance to your acqusation show that the dgb team intended the diff to be broken or engineered it in a way to make profit. Demonstrate this with evidence... much like people have done on josh garza and paycoin. A statement showing trends without this evidence just makes you look a bit whacko... sorry blunt but thats what it does.

My opinion? The current higher prices are the work of a few whales. It happened months ago i think it was last november / december? It ended and was a pre test and they have acquired in the interim whilst appearing to slumber. They are riding the current news and hype to drain a little more. My personal opinion is that and don't take this as investment advice but its elevated price wise. I'm not talking its "value" in the future with adoption etc but current market amounts it should be 50-70 satoshi based on other altcoin space. People are feeding it at present. I think we are due for a correction soon and some unhappy people and its what im waiting for for my re-entry into digibyte. I could be wrong but im willing to test that theory on my gut feeling. Good coin but i don't think its ready for 100 sat yet. Not enough widespread knowledge of the coin from people to warrant that. Talk to a random gamer and say such wow and they'll say hey dogecoin... its not there for digibyte yet... maybe in time though. my 2 cents.

Do you really think i put my stores reputation, My own name, face and everything on the line to support a scam?
Did you know that thanks to Digibyte, Jared & the investor my store is one the most futuristic stores in the world? ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzjMRP4DSBo )

The investments is not a lie, You dont need to believe me but im sure that allot of others who know Digibyte, Jared, and me and so other great community members,,
this is not any sort of scam.

So, If you want, I invite you to send me a pm so we can talk and get this BS out of your head.

Thanks.

I don't think you're a scammer man. You seem like a good guy to me. As to whether or not DigiByte itself is a scam... that's up to our readers to decide, but at the very least there's something strongly fishy about it, and I presented the evidence.

What are you actually aiming for? I know you love myriad and all which is good. I can't help but think you want a rising coin to give some kind of kudos or exposure to another coin you have a vested interest in, in hopes it rises in value and you win too.

Evidence... some graphs of prices etc that show no correlation with address ownership and devs so your dump theories lack no actual linking to people... just that addresses owned x amount and it was sold or bought.

On the task of code bases just grow up. Bitcoin was open sourced and other coins built off it. How many lines of code did myriad add to bitcoin. Should one use the same context you use and say bitcoin with its 100 of thousands of lines should acuse myriad of being crap because they added maybe 1000 more themselves... took some other algo code and integrated it?

You're on a personal vendetta for some bizzare reason with no actual end goal other than attention like a spoilt child.

From what i was aware the 250k investment came from a company and went to dgb so the only people actually entitled to questioning expenditure is the company that actually put that up. 250k is a drop in the ocean too... to you and i in company equivilant its like 2 weeks of pocket money. If you consider from 3 years work wages of 3 people @ 50k a year thats a total of $450k whoops overblown.

I don't see any of your evidence actually pointing to anything. I'll entertain it more if you make actual statements and show proof... not just hey look the price dropped due to a dump so it must be person "x". Prove your statements don't show a trend and try with speculation.
1417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★DigiByte|极特币★★[DGB]✔DigiByte Gaming - CS:GO, LoL, #DigiByteTip, DigiSpeed on: March 29, 2016, 11:25:34 AM
I do not care about rumors and untruths that some here are trying to sell.

I'm interested in the progress of talks with Azure?

It's also important to move away from bitcoin. Who cares if the code is 3 years old, it works as intended.

It is NOT important to move away from bitcoin. Your understanding of the cryptos and what each does is tunnel visioned. Bitcoin is used as a store of value with its longer block times and first mover advantage.

Digibyte would be nothing without the existing code base of bitcoin much like all alt coins. I'll go out on a limb and whilst i like Jareds approach the code created for bitcoin is likely beyond his creation potential and many others at this present time. This isn't a dig against Jared and digibyte but you should provide recognition for digibytes creation point.

Each coin usually strives to target a specific field and purpose. Digibyte is microtransactions built for short block times and micro use. If you think 1 currency can beat all others you are a fool caught up in your hype for current rising prices as others have been in the past. Whether you stick around if the prices drop back to the 70s or not remains to be seen. I like digibyte but i find posts like the above completely laughable. A statement with no substance or backing material.

Each has their place. Bitcoin is going nowhere and neither are some other coins that fill niches. Ethereum fills its space which digibyte can't compete with because its not designed that way. But on the same token ethereum can't beat digibyte as its not focused on what digibyte strives for. apples and oranges.

Some may ask why we didn’t report this to the authorities when this occurred, and the answer is that we just didn’t know what happened, didn’t want to cause panic, and were unsure who exactly we should be contacting.

"If Cryptsy only had at least three security experts on staff, then Paul Vernon would've had a clue as to what 3-LAs the event could've been reported to."

So where does this guy work now? If he's working in AML and KYC then he has the wool over their eyes. Wonder if his employer knows that he doesn't know where to report things if he finds something. Which would mean he doesn't know how to do 50% of his job.

I have bought up 42 million digibyte in the last 72 hours on both Poloniex and Bittrex. This coin is the best and I will support a price over 100 with lots of bitcoin, it's not going below 100 again.

Pictures with proof and a signed address else you are spreading meaningless misinformation in hopes of prices rising on this for you to cover your buy price.

I strongly recommend people not take this persons gospel as a reason to go all in.

I like digibyte but i don't like shenanigans, especially from a 1 post account with a name ilovedigibyte.

In total I have over 46 million. I had around 4 million before laying around but with all the latest news I had to get more coins or fear losing out when the price eventually gets to 500 or 1000 or much more.  52 btc worth of digibyte isn't a life changer but if it goes to 1000 I have +460 btc worth.

so show some screenshots to back it up or sign a message with your address priv key. Else its best not to broadcast such messages as others will take your messages as buying advice when you don't have it backed up with anything.

After watching the video in 2014 about DigiByte it got me critically thinking about the potential overlap of coins being developed in the gamer coin world, namely C2, GBT, HYPER and DGB. Someone earlier in this thread made a comparison about how the rewards you receive from a rebates rewards card when shopping is minimal in reterms of monthly return of interest and compared this to how playing games for a month earns you about $2 DGB. It's important to note even if the rebate rewards did not exist the shop would still be used, it's insignificant. However, Digibyte pitches itself as this gamer coin when in reality, wether gamers actually use DigiByte (at least as of now)... is also insigificant.

The only practical use of DigiByte to gamers would be dumping DGB -> BTC -> $$ or the DBG Market... which even then would require someone to play games for very long before buying anything. Now I understand and it's been said, the whole ploy of being able to gain DGB for free by playing games is a marketing tactic; It's not suppose to generate real money for gamers. However, this form of advertisement could be utilized by other coins better if they mimiqued the implementation and advertisement scheme, no?

This is all theoretical, but given GBT's market platform of tailoring to items on steam it makes a lot of sense to me that if they used the same advertisement scheme it would be more beneficial to them. Users who play CSGO who sign up through the site, refer users and share the site with their friends so they could do the same are likely to also gamble on the site with their steam items.

Likewise C2 could look to do something similar since they're developing their own game. The purpose of advertising through this method would serve a slightly different purpose. They would be offering free C2 so that people playing LOL and CSGO became more aware of their game where you can use C2 as an ingame currency. It's a bit counter intuative, but it still makes more sense then what DGB is doing right now.

I'm sure there are alternate uses that I haven't thought about and I'm sure someone's going to try to undermine the validity of this post but it's alarming to me as someone who's invested in DGB to realize that other coins could take DGB's strategy and do way more with it then DGB is doing itself.

Its like anything.. faucets lure people to play and pay insignificant amounts for what they get in advertising. Consider digibyte gaming to be a faucet where you do nothing other than what you would do anyway namely play csgo and league of legends. Yes the rewards are small BUT none the less its a reward that asks nothing in return. You can visit the site once sign up and play and have it come to your wallet without ever visiting the site again.

If you consider for a second that a real payment would happen i.e. $5 a game or hour who would provide such payments? If you consider the amount of gamers world wide then consider people that would launch auto playing bots you begin to understand how crazy someone would have to be to give full time wages away for someone to play games.

The aim of the digibyte gaming from what i see is a free faucet that promotes digibyte awareness. Anything given to you for free from playing will rise in price from awareness. Digibyte gets awareness in value instead of advertising revenue.. you get some dollars here and there and may buy more on the risk that it may not rise. Like anything if enough people join in and create a community it prospers.
