so whats the green/red assignment? is it just buy staker skins and most bought win or something?

also @korvas im not sure you can call them a small group of talented devs. devs maybe but there have been site issues etc pushed out and the coins just a paid for merger.

it'd be a bit like me saying im a talented builder because i put my ikea furniture together. we both know thats a stretch. you are correct on nintendo being a gaming giant as share prices and marketshare back this up.

need to work smarter with safeguards or options rather than put more work on moderators.

I think people should have to pass a basic "financial IQ" test before being allowed on this forum.  Make sure people understand how money works, so they can identify a ponzi and other financial schemes.

would be nice. peopleonly post scams because they make money. the world would have no nigerian dying princes if it didnt actually work. as for icos i can only think of eth that actually maintained or exceeded its price. that kinda makes 99% shitty/scams. i dont know any casino where you have a 1% chance to win and i dont think anyone would spin a wheel with 100 numbers knowing they only get to pick one. i dont know the answer but i think more needs to be done to empower proper users and get rid of undesireables than growing reports.
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 20, 2016, 11:20:42 PM
GB still seems large to me asan exchange listed unit.

from what i know there will be 10^15 total bytes
thats 1,000,000,000,000,000 bytes or
1,000,000,000,000 kilobytes or
1,000,000,000 megabytes or
1,000,000 gigabytes or
1,000 terabytes or
1 petabyte

now from what the transition bot shows there is
10,000GB being allocated (0.31/btc x 31,000 btc approx)

is this round only 1% of total byteball?

i thought it was the biggest round. can tony confirm?
at this rate 1GB as exchange base unit means 10,000 total coins which seems low. people are used to dealing with whole units which is why i assumed MB would be the base unit with kb and b like cents.

also with GB as base going back to bytes is 9 decimal places. bitcoin and other cryptos have adopted the 8 decimals.
Tony care to weigh in as im confused?

it looks like its 1 power of 10 out on distribution page. atm seems 1% and after re-reading is round 1 to be 10%? in that case it should be 3.1GB/btc and not 0.31GB/btc

coins a joke lol so glad I sold out when I did even if some thought I was silly or doing it for a stupid price.

bet that 808basscoin is in the same fate now. can't believe alt coins like this still drain cash from people. its ludicrous the support some stupid coins get and all they have going for them is we are the official coin of <insert something here>

official burger coin
official tv coin
official virtual reality coin (vox lol)
official coin coin

... etc

If you have sprouts left just dump the shit out of any market you can find. Something is better than nothing with this hyper hyper inflating crap coin. even mr eggman aka 808basscoin aka judgedredd from cryptsy troll box doesn't want this shit coin. That news article on btcgarden or whatever it is was funny too... you can pay to have an article published and write whatever shit you want in it like its true then quote it like its truth. False news is funny...

dumped this coin back when it was sub 10 sats, never looked back.... only place to be right now is what's in my sig, just got listed on POLO few hours ago too Wink

I will also take STRATIS for swap to PUNZ as well, swap now before crash and burn
so punz is a shit altcoin you trade infinite amounts of in exchange for other shit coins you can actually dump? sounds like the weak preying on the week. unless you can show why punz isnt shit.

whats everyones speculation of
1MB of byteball = btc/satoshi value on exchange float? im just curious
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 20, 2016, 11:00:55 AM
Hello,
I'm the ovner of still small crypto exchange, cryptox.pl. Since few weeks we are working on byteball, to be added to our exchange.
Things go quite well, so we will be ready at about 27-12 to start market. We will publish official announcement at 9:00 AM 24-12-2016.
I can answer some questions now, everything should be clear in announcement (later this thread).

Hi Grzem, that's great!

Which trading pairs are you going to list and with which Byte unit (Megabyte, Gigabyte)?
GBYTE/BTC

there are now:
LTC/BTC
DASH/BTC
XMR/BTC
GBYTE/BTC will be quite low. as a comparison those with 100btc linked will get 300GB. unless you expect 0.5btc per GB rates then MB is a better measure. its why i asked tony on it. 1GB is a huge measure on overall percent. when the tipbot gives 1MB or 1000KB in proportion 1GB is too huge to be a base unit. very few would have 1TB if any. i think you should use MB

i wish rating was tied to what forums you can post in. read all but not reply. would be good if like trust you could mark useless posts for moderator review or something to stop them progressing with useless posts.

or better yet what about an option for topic starter that is
- minimum rating to reply
- accept replies from negative rating profiles

this way you can filter all the leocoin wankers and one liner jr member signature spam?

It would be then hard for the newbies to post. Not all of them are shill accounts. And the trust system could be abused, but probably if they are painted in red by DT forum members (I'm not sure, but I believe I am one)?

i mean a topic starter is given the option for their topic to function that way. its no different to self moderated topic starters deleting what they want.

damned if you do damned if you dont. the current method gives all power to account farming owners. there is no looming negative to them spamming other than losing 2 mins of their life to make a new alt account. basically the honest have to keep them honest theough more work and the never ending tedious battle of flagging which just doesnt solve the problem. need to work smarter with safeguards or options rather than put more work on moderators.

So is the ICO live? This whole thing looks confusing. Can anybody explain this in layman terms?

link a byteball address with a btc address via either signature (signed message) or payment to prove you own it. get byteball amount proportional to btc on 25/12/2016

something big is happening here

You have got to be kidding? I am very interested as to what is happening?

Announcer: Something very big is happening on the cricket pitch.

For the astute reader, did you catch (no pun intended) the triple entendre?
someone should make a site where you give a website and it scans it for names etc. it gives a report at the end for how likely the coin is to be a scam/pump dump. the results page can list found named people in it eg marshall long and show links and sources to past scam coins etc paycoin, known accomplices etc. would be a handy project.
551  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io ION ionomy. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: December 19, 2016, 09:48:17 PM
like many I got paycoined scammed.. then, i signed up for the lawsuit.. and i guess it was revamped and i missed the sign up for that. yikes. is this lawsuit going anywhere?   all damages paid out should go into paycoin  Cheesy

If the lawsuit goes forward and gets certified as a class action (chances are not looking good though) you will have the opportunity to opt in, so you haven't missed anything yet.

And no, it should not go "into paycoin"... you can gamble it away if you hate money Smiley

hehe right on.. i still have everything he asked me to DL from the site.. my so called eternal Primes etc etc..  and that last part was reference to the $20 coin part garza promised.. lol

how much you lose? maybe kermy can help you out? he can probably talk to his brother josh to get you that $20 per paycoin. though it depends how much unemployment benefit he has left after the child support to that other woman.

Why would anyone want to send money to a company after they refuse to accept TOS ?? What fun stuff are you talking about Huh
Why would anyone want to send money to Ionomy?
\
I send BTC to Ionomy and get stakers and staker's skins... I also pickup some IONs from the exchange... or some Atoms from the auction...
That's not an answer to my question. Let's try this again. Why?

I send BTC to Ionomy and get stakers and staker's skins... I also pickup some IONs from the exchange... or some Atoms from the auction... or Electrons from the Store

That's the answer we expect from one of the ION whales.  Could you please post this as your response to every question? At least it's not lies used to get more people invested. A step in the right direction.

wildshill gave you an indirect answer. the only reason to give btc is to get more ion atoms whatever. it has no utility and no major exchange wants it.

most people only lose their shirt when gambling but by that pic in his jeep wildshill has lost all his clothes.

he claims to make money but its a lie. the volume on their exchange doesnt support his statement and when hes buying more and more to win the monthly comp thats a expenditure not a profit.

hows their slack doing? january is coming closer and from memory korvas is going to strongly question them if gravity isnt out. im curious as to what a strong questioning equates to.

Such trustworthy.

so it was added after and korvas doesnt acknowledge that it wasnt there? also if you can click the cross thus not acknowledging the new terms does this mean your account runs under old terms and if rates etc changed then ionomy are in breach?

i swear bootstrap is a boon for decent programmers to make a site but god damn it allows shonky people to look skilled and professional when they arent. call a modal box is all they probably did. what they needed was some php code in the main site template call the acknowledge page. if not acknowledged log them out or set a locked flag so all their stuff is read only.

im guessing they just did a modal prompt box and it nowhere stores a flag that they agreed to new terms.

The top ten bitcoin holders fucked up the fair distribution.

so its crappy because you dont get lots for having nothing? go buy more btc then you too can get more byteball.

Poor people always complain the world is not fair. But what is the fairness? Pure welfare and charity does not solve the problem and make the world more fair. I am rather poor in BTC, but at least I acknowledge this is a fair way of distribution. Smiley

what i like about this distribution method is it ties off btc. it allows support and weight in btc which underpins all cryptocurrency. the btc hold nature gives btc strength and gives more byteball. but if you want more byteball you use btc to buy it, each currency supports each other. if byteball exceeds btc its a transition but it builds off the btc base. tony has done well doing it this way.

other dist methods like ico are parasitic and feed on btc. the teams acquire btc to sell and have no actual stake or requirement to succeed. by taking max 1% tonys wealth is tied to byteballs success. others have many so he cant sell to market crash so he has a big incentive to progress and future cement byteball. honestly everyone should praise this method and call out other alts that ico raise in parasitic greedy ways.

there will always be those that cry unfair but they are ones with very little wanting overnight wealth. its a lifelong thing wealth acquisition and instead of complaining they should work towards earning more. in years to come they will have a portfolio and be listening to ones that once sounded like them.

ok ive linked my addresses through signing. i take it if sig doesnt verify it gives an error? if so i guess im good to go for 25th.

just a few questions
1 - do we get equal blackbytes and normal byteballs in distribution?
2 - whats the base unit in byteball? e.g 1btc = 1.00000000 = 100,000,000 satoshi. im trying to find the base unit exchanges will use to give me an idea of how much byteball/value i have

i just want to ask a same question like that
so if i linked my address with balance 1 btc how many byteball will i receive on 25 dec ?

the value is changing as more link
http://transition.byteball.org tells you the current value its roughly 4GB per 1btc.

i want to know if GB or MB is the 1.00000000 unit in byteball. what unit will be the 1.0 value used on exchanges i.e 1byteball = 0.00000000 btc?

1.  In equal proportions.  The numbers will be different because the money supplies of the two coins are different.
2.  I think GB will be good for 2017.  You can use any unit you find convenient though.
will exchanges use gb as the 1.00000000 unit? when buying selling starts on exchanges what will it be?

also is byteball restricted to a max coins by design or like ethereum can devs generate new coins down the track?
560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 18, 2016, 08:12:21 AM
If I connect a wallet and it does not have any BTC, will I receive the small percentage allocated to the first 100 million addresses? Or u need a BTC to receive the percentage?

i think it was earlier stated a small amount given to new wallet installs. that is byteball wallet installs not btc. linking a 0btc balance will get you nothing
