so 20% to kordek and 10% to sasha ivanov ..  Grin

They will distribute to lisk & waves holders most likely, it is good for byteball

as long as its shown they give it all to lisk/waves investors and dont use it as a lie to make more for themselves. how will they show transparency
522  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Bitcoin and Money Farm (Buy Script Now) on: December 22, 2016, 11:35:07 AM
This is the classic "Chicken Farm" Ponzi, where you breed/buy virtual chickens and sell eggs. < Buy upgrades > Every now and again, it pops

up under a new domain and people fall for this scam. You will see a lot of these types of sites listed on this websites here,

http://www.badbitcoin.org/thebadlist/index.htm

dont know how trustable badbitcoin is. he was a big supporter of xpy and garza going so far to state on one hand he can spot a scam a mile off then on the other how they dont see any problems with and are invested in xpy. its all in internet archives now as the site scrubbed it off. likely many good advices there but like the scams themselves i wouldnt blindly trust badbitcoins rulings. its a starting point though.

Most of the sites on that list has been reported by the users, so if they made one or two mistakes out of the 100's of sites that are listed there,

then it should not be the end of the world.  Roll Eyes The site has it's value, and at this stage it is the only resource that I know of to inform people

about Bitcoin scams. Until we see something else, we should use what we have... right.  Wink

sorry i didnt mean xpy support was from the users marking it. it was the owner of badbitcoin that supported paycoin xpy even when questioned by others and shown red flags. the site is a good starting point but i wouldnt trust the owner especially after they scrubbed their support of xpy after the fact. its still in net archives though
523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 22, 2016, 05:17:15 AM
So we have to install the ByteBall wallet, then send our Bitcoin to and from addresses then back again whilst entering our secret "Password/Phrase" to unlock our Bitcoin wallets to send ?

I think everyone will be robbed on Christmas day IMHO considering how this is all playing out and the complexity to link wallets, the ones that are encrypted are the ones they are probably looking for Wink

Call me a conspiracy theorist but waiting for you/us to type your/our magic phrase or password for your/our Bitcoin wallet once the Byteball "Wallet" is installed seems like the main aim....

If I am incorrect disregard my comments in the future & just call it pure insecurity but I got a ing-kling on this one.

source codes open.

i put byteball on seperate computer in a virtual machine. on my disconnected bitcoin pc i signed the address and put the info in a text file. usb'd that to byteball vm and copy pasted. if he robs me hes good.

since he only has a public address and message and signature if he can do that then any transaction on the blockchain is insecure.

but i do agree everyone should protect themselves.
524  Economy / Speculation / Re: We all gonna be filthy rich and here is why: on: December 22, 2016, 05:13:25 AM
i am already filthy rich because i was wise enough to buy when market was silent and many people specially around here were saying bitcoin will crash to $100 but i was buying constantly at super duper cheap prices now i have made nearly 4 digits % profit on my money because of the trades.

if they were saying crash to 100USD and you were buying super duper cheap then you had to buy at > 101USD so 4 digits is 1000% which isnt possible since its 800USD now. dont you mean 3 digit %?

Banning accounts isn't a solution since the spammers will create other one...

It is a solution in some way, because they'll get tired registering new e-mails and accounts. Question here is if it would require a lot more time for the MODs (or more MODs).
Not really, you don't need a valid email to register in this forum.

I don't see how spam can be reduced, other than checking IP's and banning multiple-accounts (which I think is already being done) rather than a singular offending account that contains the same IP.

Education is really the best way, but if we force it on people they are likely to leave the boards especially newbies as they may already feel uncomfortable with something revolutionary, such as Bitcoin, for instance.

Note regarding the email not required to be valid: I assume its for privacy reasons, this board respects privacy or so it seems.

Here are some tips to reduce spam but may be detrimental to the new users experience:
* Add a email verification proceedure
* Add a Captcha system when registering
* Prevent IPs from making more than a certain amount of accounts (currently, its unlimited).
i can understand the newbies being uncomfortable but isnt it also dangerous to newbies coming in to see fake promotion by 20 accounts to make a project look good and in your face? such behavior could also turn them off bitcoin in the same way. again i agree its not bitcointalks place to police but shouldnt it be a partial responsibility to ensure the posters are in fact unique and good for the forums quality? eg if you used a dating site do you not expect that the profiles are people and not farmed bots?
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 22, 2016, 12:25:59 AM
apologies on numbers that was a terrible maths mistake to make. 31,000 / 0.31 not multiplied by. that makes
10,000,000,000,000 or 10TB being distributed. is this now correct? 1,000TB total so still looks like 1%?

what am i doing wrong

31,000/0.31 makes 100,000 (GigaBytes) that is 100 TeraBytes.

haha i suck. im going to stop now before i embarrass myself further Smiley thanks so 10% it is so possible 10 rounds. might be worth tony ipdating first post as it still lists 98% in first round and first round is biggest
527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 21, 2016, 11:12:14 PM
GB still seems large to me asan exchange listed unit.

from what i know there will be 10^15 total bytes
thats 1,000,000,000,000,000 bytes or
1,000,000,000,000 kilobytes or
1,000,000,000 megabytes or
1,000,000 gigabytes or
1,000 terabytes or
1 petabyte

now from what the transition bot shows there is
10,000GB being allocated (0.31/btc x 31,000 btc approx)

is this round only 1% of total byteball?

i thought it was the biggest round. can tony confirm?
at this rate 1GB as exchange base unit means 10,000 total coins which seems low. people are used to dealing with whole units which is why i assumed MB would be the base unit with kb and b like cents.

also with GB as base going back to bytes is 9 decimal places. bitcoin and other cryptos have adopted the 8 decimals.
Tony care to weigh in as im confused?

it looks like its 1 power of 10 out on distribution page. atm seems 1% and after re-reading is round 1 to be 10%? in that case it should be 3.1GB/btc and not 0.31GB/btc

@tony just a requote as nobody answered. how many% is this round seems to be 1% by transition bot numbers

The mistake in your calc is that you assumed the rate is 0.31 GB/BTC when in reality it was (at that time) 0.31 BTC/GB.  That's how you got an error by a factor of 10.

how many % of all byteball / how many GB are being allocated i. first round tony? first page says 98% but with other rounds i take this isnt correct anymore.

EDIT

im not saying its bitcointalks responsibility to judge scams but when there are obvious cases like leocoin fake shill accounts all showing up with 1-10 posts at the same time its a fair assumption they arent all unique users and their toxic parasitic nature just dilutes the value of any topics.

That's my main point.

and i agree im not countering that. im saying the level of pollution false farming accounts are making needs to be stopped. i used that leocoin person as an example... he can talk all day about it for all i care but im tired of seeing his 20 fake accounts polluting other posts with 1 liners like

cool idea, leocoin is doing this with a phone soon

the intention is not to provide value but just through his agenda everywhere where its not wanted and ive seen topic starters tell him to piss off. it'd be fine if it was just him he gets a name for his 1 account, but hes doing it with 20 accounts. it dilutes forum value. it needs to be stopped.
529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ION [ION] | ICO LIVE | PoS 3.0 | Mobile Gaming | Join the ionomy today! on: December 21, 2016, 10:07:54 PM
What mobile games does this coin suport?

Currently? ZERO. And there probably never will be a game that uses ION either. The game they are designing uses electrons, which have nothing to do with crypto. They're made up tokens.

Wrong within Gravity you can use ION to buy lives
and this is possible how? apple wont allow spending other than through gift cards and credit card. if it sneaks through it will be reported and not trolls but the fact all other apps are bound the same way.

if you spend money to get ions to buy lives ingame then being a transferrable currency ionomy will need a money transmitter licence to service most countries. even in this event you are in fact using fiat to buy lives not ion.

unless you can deposit ion into the game. are you sure you arent mistaken? last video showed electrons purchased for cash which is akin to gems in other games. its a game native currency only usable in that game and not transferable.

until apple and google approve it and it stays up i doubt this.

i do know though if it gets taken down huey will blame trolls and not the fact they didnt adhere to apples terms which will be funny because ionomy expects people to abide by theirs.  thats my prediction

Just wait for the beta  Grin the way the API works across the Apple, Google & Ionomy ecosystems is impressive .......  no point me trying to explain with the beta just around the corner.

Apologies though I did make a mistake you cannot buy lives within Gravity using ION BUT that doesn't make ION useless

thats what i thought so there is no real impressive use. they just take money and try to inject in the market to give that impression. the game infact isnt using ion which kinda defeats the purpose of having gaming linked with crypto.

i tend to disagree with you though as if ion isnt used in games then it does make it useless forits intended purpose. can you explain why you believe it doesnt make it useless in relation to gaming?
530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 21, 2016, 09:42:18 PM
I only sent a 0.00001 BTC fee with my txn. Will it be confirmed before the 25th?

sign an address and use that as the link its easier Smiley. you could sign the old address to a bb address(different one) then if it doesnt send by xmas you're still covered

I'm sure somewhere in the thread is a solution to my problem, but if someone would be willing to help me out here. I can't link my BTC to ByteB because the link on the site does not work. I have tried both the win32 and win64 client.

link only works on the live download not test.

download the live install it and try the link again

Thanks for your reply. It worked Smiley Now the follow-up. Does Electrum qualify for a wallet or what wallet is preferred?

just sign your byteball address with your btc address i find easier as no coin moving required

as to the green/red war if the game is truely just buying stakers that are red green thats a joke.... you play the gameby sending a btc trans thats just pathetic... assuming thats what it is.

It looks like any purchase counts. Basically the more BTC you send to the team the better. For the team.

how is that a game....

i mean people are being gamed but thats a special offer its not a game.
is this what they meant by 1 game a month?
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ION [ION] | ICO LIVE | PoS 3.0 | Mobile Gaming | Join the ionomy today! on: December 21, 2016, 03:22:19 AM
so whats the green/red assignment? is it just buy staker skins and most bought win or something?

also @korvas im not sure you can call them a small group of talented devs. devs maybe but there have been site issues etc pushed out and the coins just a paid for merger.

it'd be a bit like me saying im a talented builder because i put my ikea furniture together. we both know thats a stretch. you are correct on nintendo being a gaming giant as share prices and marketshare back this up.

My dreams are shattered the AD lied when it said IKEA - The talented builders choice  Grin

Each to his own..... let the proof of the pudding be when you play Gravity then decide for yourself

Super Mario Run = Large gaming corporation = for now IOS only

Gravity = Small team of devs = IOS & Android

Red vs Green looks like an XMAS promotion, if you like you buy if you don't you don't.

BTW. Suchmoon the 9/11 innuendo isn't being nasty or clever it's being a sick F**K so do the honorable thing and edit your post

honestly i likely wont play it. not by spite not by a stand but that it honestly looks boring. i'll more than likely youtube a review video with live gameplay that will show me everything i need to see. to me what footage ive seen its a jump platformer with a zap gun ive played them on my iphone and they hold little replay value whoever makes them. usually they tack on a leaderboard and some costume changes gun upgrades, add a level map, throw a boss in and offer in app purchases for double exp or double gold. im pretty sure its what i expect gravity to be.

it wouldof been better to invent a new genre or try something that isnt a cookie cutter clone in gameplay. most new indie studios do this and its what defines their success. to me ionomy is just trying to do this add crypto or rather offchain electrons thinking it'll be highly adopted. its a big ask imho. but not cause its gravity i think any clone game adding crypto is the same. look at sarutobi. same deal its a clone vine swing game. boring and btc doesnt make it better.

as to the green/red war if the game is truely just buying stakers that are red green thats a joke.... you play the gameby sending a btc trans thats just pathetic... assuming thats what it is.
539  Other / Meta / Re: I think this would help (and bring back) a lot of bitcointalk users on: December 21, 2016, 03:11:53 AM
the other consideration is banner sponsors. if the board is full of this crap and more leave do sponsors get value for money by being displayed to 100 leocoin spamming alt accounts? moving forward and improving should always be a business consideration and its why new start ups take over and beat existing ones. bitcointalk forum could be replaced by another if over time the members migrate to a better managed platform that are over scams and spammers.

im not saying its bitcointalks responsibility to judge scams but when there are obvious cases like leocoin fake shill accounts all showing up with 1-10 posts at the same time its a fair assumption they arent all unique users and their toxic parasitic nature just dilutes the value of any topics.

id be fine if they stayed in their own but they do 1 liner responses just to add a line about leocoin.

its why i suggested ratings etc. give topic starters some power to not let them post if they choose or can i have a profile option to say hide all posts of people below rating x? without hitting ignore on everyone. you'd probably be surprised how different the forum would look.

Please fix transition.byteball.org. Doesnt show numbers of balance linked and transition rate. Tried Firefox and Chrome.

im getting the same thing now
