Just wanted to post and sort of rant, give my opinion on something.
The changes to Digibyte Gaming for League of Legends are stupid. First, you guys made it so we can only earn DGB from one account instead of 4-5, and on top of that we have to claim them every 24 hrs or they get taken?
And then on top of both of those you didn't even bother to increase match rewards to make up for those two horrible decisions?
I'm unimpressed and disappointed. I really liked where DGB was going, but pulling shit like that isn't going to make people want to stick around. I don't mine anymore, so playing LoL was the only way I could earn DGB, and with those two nerfs it's pretty much pointless now, seeing as I was only earning a few thousand DGB per month BEFORE the nerfs.
I don't think it was ever intended to be have 4-5 accounts... thats referring yourself and im pretty sure most faucets don't like it. DGB gaming is and has from my understanding always been about giving small amounts of dgb for gaming. Its not a profit earning site but more exposure to dgb to get others involved and working with it. You play LoL anyway so surely anything is a bonus right? I don't understand the anger? You could donate a lot of dgb to dgbgaming as a sponsor and ask them to increase the amounts until your donation expires? Who said anything about referring myself? I had friends let me put their accounts on since they don't care about crypto. DGB Gaming is also not a faucet, you earn the DGB. Why even have DigiByte Gaming if they're just going to nerf it into almost nothing? I am upset because they nerfed it for no reason. They weren't even giving out much in the first place and now it's pitiful amounts. Not even worth doing. Especially if they just take it if you don't claim it in the first 24 hours. So im sure they can still play daily and use a dgb address you generate and you'll get their rewards as long as they play... Also it is like a faucet you don't earn the dgb. You'd play the game normally right? So therefore it being free is a bonus. Faucets aren't free on your reasoning either as you type a captcha. If you are playing LoL soley to get DGB its inefficient. A better suggestion is to work a job and use the cash to buy dgb or btc? Also they didn't nerf it for no reason. The reason provided was "Abuse of multi accounts and referrals". Thats a pretty clear cut reason. |

So mr whale, post all the addresses like suchmoon asked for. Since now you are asking for blockchain proof, put your money where your mouth is. Personally, I think you'll ignore it or say some nasty words in some way or actually both. But I ask you to please post the addresses. We can then trace he blockchain and I will definitely admit I was wrong once I see the blockchain proof, for all the coins. Don't just post txid's for what the ionomy members bought. Show blockchain proof for all the coins.
You have everything. You got the Genesis block and every address created since then. You can follow every transaction before ION was issued to investors using the two ION coin explorers. The genesis block will only show a premine amount in addresses etc. This will not show how many coins were distributed NOR how much was sold. Since there was no burn of non sold ico funds nobody has data. Honestly though its looking bleak for ion. I get it.. you're loyal, you invested, you want it to succeed. Bad actors? They acquired and held. The currency has no use other than in trade for btc and those doing it are using it for its one and only purpose. Inflation is out of control check the block explorer... position number #1 has 360 million coins or something... to put that into perspective - They generate 36 MILLION coins every 5 days. - Based on current 2 sat price this is 0.72btc every 5 days OR approx $468 (@$650 USD each 1btc). They are making approx $500 USD a week for doing nothing. - Bittrex buy support at 2 satoshi is 2btc at present which will sustain 15 days of that person staking to sell. - For someone to compete with the top 5 and make decent amounts they'd need to spend 4btc for 200 million if they got them ALL at 2 satoshi, 6btc if they got them all at 3 satoshi etc. This is impossible as inflation fights it. If you buy off the book and increase the sat price up you LOSE because the higher stakers will drive down for even more cash by the time you stake so you high buys equate to low sells. So what about lots of buyers coming in - This WON'T solve it... you need more people in to counter the inflation.. so it compounds 10% each 5 days... you'd need 10% more users every 5 days constantly to balance it. This is why high POS sucks and always will. The problem is and always has been the inflation rate on this coin. Its never been fixed and if it was now it would benefit the top holders only. Im actually trying to decide if i ditch my last amounts now. Just not sure if it'll hit 3 sat territory again or not. the sell side 3 sat has stacked up to make this difficult without someone throwing wasted money at it. Yeah that's me stacking up the sell side. I dropped 60 mil to sell at 3 sat. Leaving it there means you are going to have to sell at 2 sat or get in line. BTW, the guy with the 360m is someone I know. They aren't "doing nothing" to earn that $500/5 days as you put it. They are earning that $500/5 days for taking on the risk of holding coins that could disintegrate in price at any moment destroying their capital. I personally generate about 20m every 5 days. I'm selling some off now because I need to raise some extra cash for my vacation next month. Otherwise I'd keep em, but they've kind of been a real non-performer for the past 6 months. So why do you complain and call someone a bad actor when they sell and the price goes down? If the person has that 360 million to take on risk then surely they have intention to sell and will want to realise money back on investment right? I just think your target of people that sell and make profit that drives your potential profit down is what annoys you. Personally i think anyone is mad to keep accumulating large amounts. Sooner or later particularly at this price if it goes from 2 sat to 1 sat your stack is effectively worth half as much or 50% less but your staking only grows 10% a time. If your friend isn't selling also he isn't earning $500/5 days they realise nothing until its sold. Im not meaning offense to your friend and its a world of competition but its how i see it number wise. Here's one to chew on: A use in the slack channel pointed out 20 new masternodes were made in the past two weeks but there are not enough coins on the market(s) to fill 20 nodes. Where did those coins come from. Anyone care to speculate?
Its as i showed in my figures ages back. Their premine to make masternodes. And the profits from their nodes to make more masternodes at an accelerated rate. Ion is just about making matlack whole. It's because a lot of the marketing is false and a lot of people think digibyte developed multi algo because they market it in such a way.
Let us clear something up here to put this unnecessary flaming war to rest. We have never claimed to be the inventors of multi-algo and we have repeatedly given credit to Myriadcoin for doing so. Both in writing and in public presentations. However, we were the first coin to go from a single mining algo to fork to a multi-algo setup which had its own unique challenges. If anything we certainly have helped bring more attention to the benefits multi-algo offers. We feel there is a mutual synergy between DigiByte and Myriadcoin moving forward and we would like to collaborate to assist each other in the future. We do not view the crypto world as a "winner" take all situation. There need's to be multiple blockchains not only for security but also for development & experimentation. This is what makes the blockchain world so exciting. The DigiByte protocol is the heart of the DigiByte ecosystem. The DGB protocol will continue to evolve as time goes on. The primary means of improvements will be to take tested, useful and innovative additions found in multiple other coins and implement some of those changes into DGB. This will allow DigiByte to maintain a competitive advantage over the majority of other block chains without wasting time on implementing new changes that have never been proven or tested that could and often do lead to significant security vulnerabilities. At the end of the day we can not afford even a single major security breach in the network (think DAO). We will give credit where credit is do in this process to other innovators for taking the initial risk. By taking ideas from multiple sources DigiByte itself will remain unique with many competitive advantages. At this point DigiByte is far enough along, with 2.5 years of invested resources (both time and money by people all over the world) that we can not afford to be reckless with unproven "additions" to the core protocol. We would love to spend 100% of our resources on R&D but the reality is this is just not feasible. By far the biggest challenge right now for every coin is user adoption and real-world utility. You can have the most technologically advanced blockchain in the world with the most cutting-edge advancements. But if no one knows about it what good is it? Sure you will get a short term pump & dump in a tiny speculators market. But without making a coordinated, strategic move to gain news users outside of the "speculators" community its just not a viable long term solution. The DigiByte Protocol currently consists of 5 decentralized mining algorithms including; Sha256, Qubit, Skein, Groestl and Scrypt. The core DigiByte protocol is considered to be UTXO based and is different than the emerging “Virtual Machine” approach now pioneered by Ethereum. UTXO by companies such as Microsoft and IBM is considered to be the most secure and well-tested approach to blockchain development. The block timing is currently set at 15 seconds (40x faster than BTC) with 1 MB blocks. Every 2 years the size of the blocks will double. At this current rate we will match VISA with network transaction capacity by 2021. DigiByte currently implements the “DigiShield” and “MultiShield” difficulty adjustment code which has been proven to be highly reliable and has since been implemented into multiple other alt coins. DigiByte currently boasts over 8,000 nodes and in terms of absolute decentralization is the most secure blockchain on the planet. However without continued improvements for the remaining parts of 2016 and in to 2017 this edge will be lost. Future Protocol Additions: Sync of DigiByte Core Protocol to BTC 0.12 core code. 1. Libsecp256k1 Switch – This allows for a dramatic increase in the speed of validating ECDSA (Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm) public/private keys. This will only enhance the speed of DigiByte transactions while reducing bandwidth and network latency. 2. Headers 1st Sync – One issue DigiByte is currently facing is our blockchain is almost at a height of 3 million blocks. Bitcoin is still at 300K. By allowing headers 1st sync our simplified wallets (Android, iOS) will be able to sync with the network much quicker. As well as regular nodes. This code has already been tested and implemented to BTC. 3. Block Pruning – It is not necessary to retain all information sent and received in a block for everyone on the network. By pruning some previous block data we can help DigiByte scale without overloading users hard drives. 4. CheckLockTimeVerify - This op function allows sending a transaction that cannot be re-spent until a certain point in the future. This unlocks the potentially for advanced smart contract applications to be built upon the DigiByte blockchain as well as advanced security authentication procedures with platforms such as Digi-ID. 5. Other Adjustments – Several other slight improvements to the protocol can be found in the 0.12 core sync. It is important however to note several conflicts may potentially arise with some of our current custom implementations in our UTXO protocol such as MultiAlgo, DigiShield, block timing etc that still need to be worked through and tested. This should not require a hard fork though. 6. Addition of Segregated Witness Code – “SegWit” for short essentially allows for nodes on a network to be a witness to a transaction without having the ability to alter a transaction. Hence the segregated nature. This allows for the establishment of what is know as “Micro Payment Channels.” This is better compared to the way the Internet itself works with the DNS system. By implementing the SegWit code into DigiByte we are setting the foundation and ability for the “Lightning Network” to be implemented. This means potentially hundreds of thousands of transactions per second worldwide for DigiByte. We have the ability to pull this off before Bitcoin if we can get the right resources in time. 7. Algorithm Swap – In the past 16 months since DigiByte’s switch to multi-algorithm proof of work many new cryptocurrency mining algorithms have been created to help decentralize and set new coins apart. As DigiByte grows we will need to swap one algo out to send a message to ASIC manufacturers etc. that DigiByte will remain decentralized. 8. Addition of Colored Coins Layer – This is a well establish layer that can be implemented on top of DigiByte to create a virtually unlimited amount of “Smart Contracts.” “The Blockchain of Things” brought the most impressive potential use case for adding the colored coins layer on top of DigiByte. By leveraging the headers of a transaction itself it is possible through an additional API layer to use DigiByte transactions not as we think of them today but more as a communications network that can contribute groundbreaking improvements to industries across the board in a decentralized manner all the while boosting DigiByte's real world utility around the globe. Thanks for this. Do you know if the payout for earning DigiBytes via playing CS GO and LoL will change? 0.5 DigiByte per kill/win is not really a lot. You would have to play all day to earn at least some DGBs. I guess if you play 2 games per day you earn on average DGBs worth 1000-2000 Satoshi. Please understand that the DGB has to come from somewhere... someone has to provide it or the bitcoin to buy it to give it to the game players. It doesn't just materialise from nowhere. If to you its 2000 satoshi a day then multiply that by the amount of gamers claiming a day to understand. This isn't meant to make you rich NOR is it designed to give you a large Digibyte bag. You are getting something that you otherwise weren't getting for playing the game anyway. Im sure like faucets payouts rise when more people use the system and it gets more exposure... exposure = interested parties advertising and providing the dgb you get. We need people to start doing things instead of holding hands out and when they get something they don't like complaining... Its like going to a faucet and complaining the reward is too low. If its not worth it its best not to game. You could increase the payout amount through contributing to DGB's popularity through word of mouth. Consider what you can give whilst you are putting the hand out to take. |
