1401  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: August 09, 2022, 12:20:45 PM
Rollbit is a good feature because of this, they created rollbot with the sole understanding that it would be connected to the casino, meaning it’s not just some images, it actually has a purpose and that is why it was such a loved idea and bought so much.
That's what made them different from others as they took the first mover advantage of implementing this NFT system for crypto casinos and came up with Rollbots V1 sold under few minutes because players have the use of those Rollbot and were getting extra benefits also and now second one with sportsbet launch so you see it's having edge to other fake projects out there.

People will slowly understand how Web 3.0 can transform the online world we see but at this time it's mocking for them but you will see how it will evolve over years having potential.
1402  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 08/08/2022 on: August 09, 2022, 12:09:16 PM
I just updated the thread again and added lots of new merit milestones to the OP. Congrats everyone!
So now we have some fresh records on the main wall of Hall of fame so thanks for updating it and till the time next update there will be pretty more nice records saved here and hope my 2k merit mark is achieved till then and presented among others.

Rest will see whose records are going to be saved here as there are many who are close to their sweet merit records that will fit here.
1403  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] The most generous users giving merits on: August 09, 2022, 11:58:45 AM

Indeed.
Exceptional cases apart, I am used to sending 3 merits per tx, while he keeps sending 1 per TX.
Yes, different merits habits, and as I said, respect for JJG for his commitment to the community.
Please note I know him very well, being a usual fellow in WO and my first merit fan!
Yeah all the merit sources have different patterns for sending smerits on the forum and you can have an idea about it through their sending habits but the main part is helping others to rank up but to those who deserves it and all the top members in those list are doing it quite well.

But if we want to have an idea then some of them spend merits this way :

Code:
@fillippone - sending 3 merits to the post he likes and if detailed thread and he found something useful then more then 3 merits

@o_e_l_e_o - He has fixed pattern of sending 4 merits in one TX

@JayJuanGee - Sending 1-2 merits at the most in each TX with going through lot of Post to find some good and relevant one to merit.

@DdmrDdmr - The merit machine on the forum sending out 1-2 merits per TX

@Pharmacist - He is helping low rank members to reach their next possible rank and gives out 3,5,2 merits upto the limit in one go on different posts of that person

So we see different merits pattern across the forum accordingly so it's good thing I would say for forum members also.

I also respect JJG and my first WO merit was from his side only and then the streak continued so respect all of them.

JJG is indeed the person who has sent most sMerit TXs, with 21.509 TXs sent and an average of 1,07 sMerits per TX. The runner-up to date is yours truly, having sent 18.020 TXs with an average of 1,22 sMerits per TX.

Yeah but mine truly is not even human. He is not competing on a level playing field so I don't know if I would seriously consider him for the number 1 human spot.
He is the merit machine and you can't compete with his lightning speed of giving out merits and usually he is the one who from you get merit if you start a useful thread and that also across different boards like 1-2 and then re-merting those posts after few time within seconds. So he is not human ofcourse in these matters.
1404  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] The most generous users giving merits on: August 08, 2022, 01:09:52 PM

My bad, you are both right.
Yes, JJG jas the habit of meriting 1 merit per TX, which requires him a deep commitment to researching the forum for material to merit.
And he's very good at it, I must say.

Yes you would find him usually giving out 1 merits per TX and he is active on WO, Economics and Bitcoin discussion board mainly and yes it requires through post analysis on the forum to have such distinctive smerit spread and he's doing it from long time.

You would see he has sent 846 merits in past 30 days whereas you have send 1148 merits so there is difference of 302 merits but his TX would be more then you keeping in mind he is sending 1-2 at the most while you have been going till the limit of 50 also to single member in last thread so yes there is difference between merit policies of merit sources in the forum.

I have a thing for giveaways. Started winning in high school and since then I have always been trying my luck  Cheesy You never know!

Throw some of that luck this way, your boy LFC_Bitcoin could do with a sprinkle of it, especially after the football today Cheesy

I’m entered, fingers crossed for me.

Thanks.
So you have a long relationship with the luck dating back to high school but it doesn't seems to be too friendly with us and shower us with some small wins in rare cases but we are also in the bracket of not giving up and maybe one day we also have that luck on our side who knows .

Maybe some luck showers will be on your side also mate @LFC_Bitcoin so keep the fingers crossed till then..
1406  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 27/06/2022 on: August 08, 2022, 12:41:49 PM
Since I am usually being tagged by @aysg76, I just realized that I missed posting the 1337 merit count or what they call "leet". And I was like, I missed an opportunity I was waiting for back in the day when my rank was still a "Member"  Cheesy
I also didn't pay attention to that one in particular otherwise you would have seen one more time me tagging you here but we all have some records messed up contrary to our expectations but good and motivational is how far we have come as you thought of this as member but now you are Legendary so this is what matters the most Wink
1407  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: August 08, 2022, 12:27:27 PM

Compared to some other bookies that start out as a single bookies then added slots as well as some other games into it, Rollbit is a complete opposite from that. Their main revenue comes from people that play slots mostly because this is what they started as and sportsbook is pretty much extra revenue on their sites that comes from their regulars therefore it would be hard for them to compete with a dedicated bookies site like sportsbet
If we speak about sportsbet then they are completely into this field and have huge target players for their site and generate lot of revenue each time.Their marketing is entirely different from others and have lot of competitions rolling out most of the time so competing with them for Rollbit would really be hard so they should focus on having more people engaged with promotion so the revenue is increased.
1408  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why beginners should pay attention to their privacy on: August 08, 2022, 12:14:49 PM
I'm afraid I absolutely would not recommend Brave. They are better than Chrome, sure, but only because Chrome is literally the absolutely worst browser on the planet in terms of privacy and securing your data. Brave, while they run a very flashy marketing campaign about being very pro-privacy, are actually nothing of the sort. They take money from companies like Facebook and Twitter to whitelist their trackers and allow them to spy on you. They take money from various ad companies to specifically serve you their ads (which are of course still profiled to your information), but users seem to accept that because they get paid peanuts of some useless token in return. They take money from Binance to inject their code and widgets in to the browser, which again are used to track you. The secretly auto-direct your browser to URLs you didn't enter or click on and insert their referral codes in the process. They are entirely driven by making themselves money, and a lot of the things they once stood for in terms of privacy are not long forgotten in pursuit of more profits. And don't even get me started on a so called privacy browser asking for KYC. Roll Eyes
Yeah I am aware about those concerns you have mentioned about but was providing him with the alternative to Google chrome which is ofcourse the worst with full of spams and phising links to scam people always trying to track you with any activity you are doing.I also use Brave in rare cases like to just have some normal search and watch some add free YouTube if I want to nothing else.

The KYC was implemented on the BAT you have earned as reward points and was opposed by many and never interested in earning those shit tokens and after your post thinking to discard its usage completely.Sending tips to publisher is good idea but implementation of the KYC was a really poor one if you call yourself privacy oriented browser and there were lot of discussion about this also :

Brave KYC

So you are right on the part that if you are interested in more privacy options then you should avoid this one also and for me it was just one step ahead of chrome for making some normal work not like accessing forum from it.

For other privacy related searches ofcourse Tor is my default one browser which provides you complete anonymity not like the fake promises others made.
1409  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie! Protect your name, it is your brand on: August 08, 2022, 12:01:30 PM
I will say you should choose a decent username on the forum that doesn't have a offensive meaning and the one you like and want people to recognise you from that as it serves you online identity.

But what what work you do will make you name across the forum if we speak in this context only and if you are having knowledge and helping others out people will automatically come to know about you and any username you have decided will be worthy of recognition so it depends on your work which will make your name shine not your name will tell about how personality is.

There are many high rank members in the forum which have some unique names which we even don't know how to pronounce properly but still they all are well known but how? Their works have made their presence important to the forum members not only username. So if you possess that skills of having knowledge and expressing your thoughts well any username will become your brand.
1410  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can a name be edited after joining this forum? on: August 08, 2022, 11:41:00 AM
This is not the case because I don't think @theymos will accept your PM of changing just a username of your friend because of the auto correct feature. There will be many such requests if he start doing so and it's best is to create another account making sure he double check before registering on the forum as you have to press the button after making sure all the things.

But he can continue with the same account also if he intends to learn here in this forum and keep on with the same username or is there anything offensive which he wants to be edited in particular?

The donations in the past was possible because of the relatively low prices for bitcoin but now it's way too much to acquire that VIP tag anc custom title and if you want to see the past donators you can see them here

Having multiple accounts on forum is allowed but following the forum guidelines that they must not violate any rule is important so tell him about this also.

There have been some instances where users have edited their username on the forum without donation and that's only by convincing @theymos with a valid reason like this one :

Changed username from Coolcryptovator to COOLCRYPTOVATOR

So you can try but don't think it will help a newbie account and it's needed at all.
1411  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: August 06, 2022, 01:53:12 PM
there will be positive and negative sides, not everyone likes platforms that require kyc, of course it will be very complicated & and also some don't want to give their data to gambling websites because some state rules are strictly prohibited in gambling, maybe not completely security just to avoid multiple accounts
correct me if i'm wrong
There’s a good reason why KYC is being imposed, this is to avoid fraud and of course to prevent any abuse in the site. The gambling site is just following the regulations, and they really have no choice or else their license will be compromise. KYC is still a big issue in crypto world and with Roobet, it looks like many can’t still move on and talks about this issue all over again.
This is the thing if they want to operate without any problems they have to comply with these AML policies which is why KYC is implemented but many of us wants to remain anonymous in this crypto world keeping our privacy in our hands. So if you are comfortable with KYC norms you can do it but many times it's used against us.

1413  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: August 06, 2022, 01:23:52 PM

The market is recovering but bear market has yet ended.

However, good news is NFT is here and will not disappear to anywhere. NFT is bigger than what people think in the past two years and it will survive through this bear market. NFT technology and industry are strong and Rollbot NFTs will be strong too. Rollbit are strong so they can give great support and developments for their Rollbot NFTs.
NFT market is also down to some extent at this time and investors are not ready to put their funds at stake but Rollbit managed to successfully sell out both at right time and now they only need to develop accordingly and provide additional benefits to holders which they are also doing at the moment. There might be more new development for the community and players on the way so just go with the flow.
1414  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking profits vs holding long term? on: August 06, 2022, 01:12:55 PM
See if you are talking about your bitcoin portfolio specifically then holding it for long term will have potential profit scenario if you could wait for that time period. We have gone through crash situation recently and now there are some growth progress and if we say about next halving then we still have 1 year and 9 months for it and there are chances you will be up 30-40% on your initial investment till then.

But if you have made satisfactory profits after some time we enter the bull run you can do so like those who have sold last year at ATH around $68k invested at $50k also made good returns and see we are down from a long time. You see there are risk involved in your investment but if we seek long term then we can have profits but it's only for bitcoin not the shitcoins out there as in term of 2 years they could just vanish out of the market and you will see how Top-10 in CMC shuffle within this time range but bitcoin always at top.
1415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you introduce Bitcoin to people without digital literacy? on: August 06, 2022, 01:00:34 PM
The first thing you need to tell such people is that since they already don't understand all other things they use on a daily basis (from their smart phones and all the apps on it to their credit cards and the complicated banking system) they also don't need to know the technical aspects of bitcoin.
Stick only to the basics, learning about bitcoin should be just like learning about how to work with a computer or a smart phone for the first time. You don't know what code is being executed on your device's CPU or how it is executed, so you also don't know what happens behind the scene when you click the "send" button in your bitcoin wallet or how mining works, etc.
For me also this is the same way of telling someone about bitcoin who is completely unaware about the technical aspects and how all the mechanism is designed in the backend. If you see bitcoin is mixture of technical things like private keys,SHA-256 algorithm and much more but who are ignorant to simple app working over the network connectivity will find it hard to understand if we introduce them directly with coding structures.

So first of all I ask them if they ever heard about the term bitcoin or cryptocurrencies and if so what do they understand from it? Some people I have met have assumed them to be physical coins like fiat only as they have heard it's new currency so you see they only need to know the basics about it in the first end.So the simple is tell them it's like digital money only not in physical format and you can transfer money through your wallets to anybody globally with basic understanding of how to send and receive money keeping their seeds phrases safe.

Then comes up resources that can help them like articles, books and some videos by Andreas could help them so once interested they will start gaining knowledge about it themselves and technical part will be understood to some extent if not completely and that will be enough for them to keep using it.
1416  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — Spinomenal Series Tournament 🏆 100,000 USDT prize pool on: August 05, 2022, 12:57:32 PM
Just read the announcement on Bitcasino telegram and Evil Geniuses twitter there will be a giveaway 3 signed jersey
Want to take this opportunity? just follow those 2 accounts and retweet
This is good opportunity for those interested in these Twitter giveaways and still there are less than 250 participants like 231 rt and 13 replies to this but only 3 winners so you see we already are in upper limit of checking our luck but you don't loose anything on them so trying is worth it.
1417  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ranking up is possible! 2900 Merits earned in less than 12 months! My 11 Hints! on: August 05, 2022, 12:46:07 PM
Yea, but let me reiterate I created this thread for others to be inspired, and find their best way to contribute to the forum, which can be very different from mine. This thread is not a recipe to be copied. Last thing the forum needs is another Fillippone.
Yeah they only need to have motivation from your post and choose an entirely different way but that must be leading them to some positive path of growth and they will automatically see progress in their forum journey.

Having another @fillippone on the forum is hard but maybe if someone follows your footsteps with his own walking style we may meet him soon Wink
1418  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why beginners should pay attention to their privacy on: August 05, 2022, 12:32:52 PM
Here comes another prove why beginners should give more attentive ears to their privacy, using centralized exchanges has more demerits than the benefits it could offer, early this morning i come across this update on how every US crypto exchanges undergoing investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission report gives a total of about 40 crypto exchange present in the US and they are all under investigation by the SEC including the largest exchanges Binance and Coinbase, but to my greatest surprise i still see some of the bitcoiners having their asset with centralized exchange, when engaged in using CEX it makes no difference from having the rule of government over commercial banks.
All these investigations going under SEC is to make sure that these exchanges are following their guidelines and data breach is very common among them but you would see not much big impact of these investigations as government wants them under their control which they will do.As you say of Binance and Coinbase then they are most famous CEX out there having most of the trading share in the market and not only some big chunk of people have their coins stored on these exchanges assuming them to be safe but are unaware of the risk associated with using their services.

Their is simple saying "Not your keys not your coins" but they have trust over these CEX easily and deposit their funds over them and when they are scammed they start to blame game but what's the fun afterwards?

Coinbase has said that in case of insolvency your funds will be treated to pay off the debts so what security your expect from them?

One cannot claim been decentralized in using a centralized exchange, this is more of another strong warning being a reminder to pay attention to our privacy especially the beginners, if you actually want to be free from government embargo and restrictions in having access to your digital assets in your finances then remain private.
This is what most people need to understand and this is what they are ignoring.
1419  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — Spinomenal Series Tournament 🏆 100,000 USDT prize pool on: August 05, 2022, 12:18:40 PM
But, when you pick something very very close to what it was (literally 80 dollars which is very little) then there would be many people who are close to it.
This is what spices up the competition to be honest. Minute differences make wins a lot more satisfying even though I have never experienced myself yet so far on their site.

I remember getting very, very close to the top 10 sometime back, but got thrown into the 100s just because of a small change in the BTC price which pissed me off. BTC was my sworn enemy for a moment back then.
This is how last minute game changing through bitcoin volatility and prices can vary a lot but in these competitions there are many predictions close sometimes and these fluctuations could push you down in the winning list. But this is how it works in the end and you need to be lucky also.
1420  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: August 05, 2022, 12:08:38 PM

Depends on which exchange we are talking about. Binance has been here for 5 years and even though they have been hacked before, I have never heard of anyone having trouble withdrawing money from them, I do that like once a week nearly and I never had to wait for it at all. I could do anything I want in Binance knowing that they have my full support and they will have my back when I need them to and they will not be hacked into giving their customers funds to any hacker.
It has not happened with you that doesn't mean Binance is safe heaven and your funds are still at risk and they have many times put restrictions on user funds if you look at these cases minutely. They are having your keys so taking decision is in their hands.

We need to stick to the Roobet discussion only here in this thread and you should check and analyse the risk yourself.
