1421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current Topic: African players in Europe. on: April 14, 2023, 10:35:19 PM
Your points are valid but they are not totally in order. Africa still has key players in top clubs in Europe an example is the Nigerian striker Samuel Chukwueze who is red hot in Villarreal CF. He is a target of most top clubs in Europe. Players like Kalidou Koulibaly, Achraf Hakimi, and Riyad Mahrez are playing in top clubs in Europe. But I will agree that we don't have a player that can compete for the work best football except for Victor Osimhem. I also concur that the number of African players in lowly placed teams outnumbers the quantity playing in top clubs. But we have seen many European players of African descent playing top-class football, can they also be called African?

If they don't identify as African, you can't call them African. If they don't own it to be black and play for their motherland then they don't deserve any association with us. I was looking at the names you called and although they aren't playing badly in their respective clubs but they're second best. When you''re calling players in those clubs, their name don't come out first. You have to call some European player before you can call theirs and some aren't even in top 5 best players at their respective clubs. I might give an excuse for Samuel Chukwueze but how impactive has he been this season, he has scored just 6 goals in 27 appearance and 5 assits which is 11 goals contributions.

Koulibaly is a complete flop with his move to Chelsea so he shouldn't even be mentioned in the first place. Mahrez and Hakim are also brilliant players but can't be compared to the influence the African goats like Drogba had at his club, Samuel Eto'o too at his club and the list can go on and on. Our African players today don't get the media attention like we did back in the old and that's not just because of racism but because we aren't playing well. When Victor Osimhen started getting those attention was because he was playing brilliantly and can be compared alongside the world beats in the business.

Therefore, we advise that you should stay away from it to keep your cryptocurrencies safe. Organizers may tempt you to participate by promising big returns. But the truth is that only the regulators will benefit from it.

Forget about the fact weda e illegal abi e legal but you dey see this side wey I qoute so, na the summary of everything wey this thread dey about. Anything wey get to do with pump and dump groups needs to be avoided if not na you go surfer am. Nothing actually new like dat for this industry dem just dey resurface either in a new form or old trick every small small time. 1423  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The Role of Currency Spectators In Currency Value Case Study of 9ja ₦ vs $ on: April 14, 2023, 10:01:46 PM
I agree with you on the cashless policy being a possible panacea to restoring the naira's lost value but then the policy failed again just like the e naira is failing and every other monetary policy of the current CBN regime is failing, the problem with the Nigeria nairas value is domestic and if the naira most regains its value it must start first at the local market and the rate of inflation need to really be cut down and that will require government direct involvement in the pricing of good and services within the economy.

Do you blame the CBN for the failure of the new Naira policy, aren't we the citizens lead by our governors that took the CBN to court and won in regards to use of the old naira notes and postponement of it seizure to be a legal tender until December 2023. Sometimes na we dey shoot ourselves for leg, even though CNB policy no for be the solution to our Naira devaluation but e fit give am small strength and we fit dey use that one work for the main time.

With the rate of Nigerians going into crypto trading, the rate supposed increase normally and I dey believe say very soon, the crypto traders go be the next target, make we dey watch how things go unfold, right now crypto trading dey get free pass but when the government go come for them, na war e go be. People dey think say cryptocurrency trading no dey get any influence for the forex market especially dollar rate but it's now one of the major influencers on the market, abi una never hear about crypto dollar rates?

Me, weh deh attend party and no eat na him you deh talk say them go share food pass? I no mind o. Whether person chop for event or not person go still feel hungry after a while. I reject any culture weh go disgrace me. The question weh you ask about why food no deh ever deh enough for event. The reason go be because people deh always gate crash into events without shame and the number of guests go increase pass the food cooked. If na oyibo them, we know say their things na through invitation. If you no get invitation you no go enter.

No be lie sha, but just because you reject a way of life no mean say the place wey you from no be their way of life be dat. Take spraying of money as an example, e no matter how you wan talk say no be ur culture when everybody know say we Nigerian dey do am steady. One of the way to stop this dragging for events as you talk na to dey organized events based on invitation. E get plenty wey I just come from and food been dey everywhere like sand and na because dem do the party based on invitation.

Although me no too support parties wey dem do with invitation, I dey like party wey raw. Make we no lie, e get people wey dey survive based on the parties wey dey go on around their area. I know say to plan party dey hard but e no go kill you to add extra expenses for food so people wey come or crash the party fit chop, country hard. Also another thing na for those wey dey incharge of the food to get church mind and use all the money allocated rightly. Most times wey food no dey do occasion na because of the people incharge dey run street for the kitchen.
1425  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: banks in 9ja that are most p2p crypto-friendly bank with fast transaction speed on: April 14, 2023, 04:41:30 PM
The most crypto-unfriendly bank is.

1: standard chartered bank plc, from history this bank and is known for easily flagging customers' account so cryptocurrency users are advised to avoid using the bank for cryptocurrency transactions.

From my own experience, All local banks dey crypto unfriendly and no be just because federal government warm them but they also have very poor network especially on weekends but you dey see all this online banks wey no get physical location, na dem sure pass for cryptocurency transactions. Obviously you no go indicate say na crypto wey you dey transaction so dem no go block your account.

Before na Kuda sure pass but as of recent na Opay they reign, we also get Carbon wey just dey come up like their name never too sound but dem dey alright. We get palmpay too but I go advise make we avoid them for the main time because dem dey get very negative reputation online and with all those negative reputation dem fit lose their ground especially as new ones they come up steadily.

I understand people too dey fear all this online banks but as a crypto guy you no supposed they fear dem. Use dem received your transaction so Incase wahala come e no go affect you heavily and before anything go reach your main bank account, you go dun do something about am. Avoid keeping too much money online
1426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 13, 2023, 08:13:37 PM
I think Felix is a young player with potential, it's just that his arrival at Chelsea was not at the right time. Not only Felix but almost all Chelsea players are having a hard time bringing out their best abilities. I am sure that the condition of the Blues players will improve again if the management is able to bring in an experienced, world-class coach.

Joan félix abilities as a play maker isn't been showcase because Chelsea doesn't have a striker that can score goals. Joan félix isn't a striker and I don't understand why managers can't get that point. Just because he can scire goals doesn't make him a striker. Look at Benzema goals last night and you'll understand why strikers are needed in a team. Nobody anticipated the ball been saved by kepa but Benzema did and it payed off. Joan félix will only pay brilliantly when Chelsea gets a striker like victor Osimhen so he can play ahead while félix supports behind.

Chelsea getting Joan félix on a permanent deal is going to be hard considering Chelsea mightn't be playing champions league football next season unless we can win this year's tournament miraculously. Also the uncertainty of the next coach is also going to be a factor why players like Joan félix that doesn't owe any loyalty to the club would leave. In my opinion instead of pushing for a deal to be made with Joan félix then we should give Mason Mount what he wants and get a striker.
1427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: April 13, 2023, 08:00:21 PM
why is it so difficult for Al-nassr to win a trophy this season. in fact they are only 3 points behind ittihad fc. don't they still have a pretty big chance if we look at what they've done so far. Al nassr must really focus not to lose points in the upcoming match that's what they have to do. For Ronaldo, if he fails to get a trophy this season, it doesn't mean he will fail this season because he came to Al Nassr in the second half of the season, in fact he has made a big change for Al Nassr since he joined last season's transfer window.

Al Nassr are disappointing their fans, they shouldn't have drew that game against Al Feiha. Al feiha is a team they should have comfortably defeated so why draw now that the race to the title is getting heated. What was going through the mind of the players in the game. Do they think that Al-Ittihad will let go of the lead by losing a game. Al-Ittihad has been the strongest team this season in the Saudi Arabia league. Al Nassr hasn't just be consistent this season and that's what might cost them the title. Why will they be coming from a 5 - 0 win against Al-Adalah and then draw against a team they have very record of winning. They should be trashing Al Feiha same amount of goals they did to Al-Adalah.

I think Ronaldo should start planning his exit from the club because if he stays there any longer, they'll tarnish his images. He's playing with below average players that won't get the bench in lower clubs in the European league. I think there was a clause in Ronaldo contract that make him eligible to play for Newcastle in the champions league if they qualify. Newcastle are currently at third position and if they continue been this good then they'll qualify for the champion league and we can watch the goat own that competition again.
1428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 13, 2023, 07:44:31 PM
Chelsea vs Brighton: I never thought that a time will come when as a fan I'll be scared of playing Brighton in the premier league. Frank Lampard has to make a statement with this match so the players have some motivation going into the second leg of the champions league against Real Madrid. If Frank Lampard was to lose this game then he should be sacked immediately because he doesn't know what he's doing. This is his third game incharge of Chelsea and have already lost two, losing this one means he doesn't understand what coaching is all about.

I think Chelsea will win though, we can't lose three straight games, that'll be disastrous. We'll win this game with a narrow win because the players don't know how to score goals so winning with 1 - 0 is my prediction. I saw Mason mount have some minutes against Real Madrid, I hope he gets more minutes in the game against Brighton because we need some fresh legs into the team that could start something that'll lift the spirit of the whole team. Looking at the head to head history, we have lots of draw in this feature but hoping Saturday games doesn't end in a draw because we need both the points and motivation this game is meant to give to the team.
1429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 13, 2023, 07:30:57 PM
But still Chelsea can't improve their game that doesn't change at all, so I think Chelsea will still be eliminated later because I doubt how Chelsea's game is still not impressive in any match.
They've certainly had a difficult time since Tuchel's sacking and with Potter not bringing any better and also with Lampard I've had to say this is a little skeptical on my part so Chelsea just need a change of management.

We have to stop talking about Thomas Tuchel, he's now history or isn't he the same Thomas Tuchel that's bottling his job at Bayern Munich. Tuchel success at Chelsea didn't have everything to do with his coaching skills instead the players were determined to win and they won games. If Thomas Tuchel was that good as we're all saying, why hasn't he replicated same wins with Bayern Munich or won the champion league with other top clubs that he has managed. Let take Real Madrid as an example, it doesn't matter which coach is present but they'll always do well in the champions league because it's a culture on the club.

As for the game against Real Madrid, it was a disappointing loss and I'm still surprised we could play that badly against Real Madrid and I put all the blame on Frank Lampard. His selections were all wrong, we could have sealed the fate of that game in the first few minutes of the game as we were having chances after chances but didn't have anyone that could score in the team. The team lacked a striker and Chelsea need to resolved this crises by signing someone that'll be winning to play even though we don't get champions league football next season. I think if Kai Havertz would had started that game, we would had gotten something from that game. I haven't lost hope though, 2:0 isn't that hard of a result to comeback from to progress.
1430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current Topic: African players in Europe. on: April 13, 2023, 07:20:42 PM
the only player I see being very important is Victor Osimhen who is being a very popular player these days, but apart from him I don't see other African players in the big teams like PSG, City, Juventus, Benfica, Porto, Inter, Milan, Bayern , Real madrid, Barcelona, liverpool ( only Salah stands out ), tottenham, manchester united, chelsea... it looks like African players are now only in small teams and small leagues, in the days of samuel eto , drogba, we had a lot of Africans playing in the big teams and they were always starting players. currently each season African players have less space in the big teams

Slow death, you're not wrong with your observation, i think the problem is that African is not more a favorable market to go for scouting anymore. I think the reduction has to do with the fact that when you get an African player on your team then the team gets built around that player, it becomes a problem when he has to leave in the middle of the season to go play AFCON. Liverpool manage Klopp aired his view on this same issue when he had to let go of about 3 top players in his starting eleven and others are learning from that experience. If AFCON wants our players to be represented properly then they have to reschedule when the AFCON gets played so teams don't worry about players leaving for international football in the middle of the season.

This problem is why only the best are been sorting after, before every body was welcomed in this big clubs and they develop into big players but now only the big players are sorted after so the clubs don't waste so much resources in developing a player only for then to go play for their country and get injuried then the clubs now have to nurse the player to fitness. Haven't you noticed also that clubs don't let players go represent their country in AFCON tournament. What I just said above and couple with the poor state of football in the continent these days is one of the reasons for this problem.

1435  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best way to invest in BITCOIN on: April 09, 2023, 08:49:35 PM
Investing in bitcoin has no compulsory amount to invest, the thing is understanding, acknowledgeable, and patience, when you have  the understanding to invest,
I don't totally disagree with you but since he(op) is new I think it would be better to pick Bitcoin. For this alt-coin investment, I think he has to take a lot more risk, in that case Bitcoin will give him a safe investment.

It doesn't matter if the OP is new or old but investing in altcoins should never be mentioned or recommended to him. Altcoins shouldn't be the way anybody starts his journey in the market or that individual will be lost forever because at first he might be lucky with his picks but as time goes on and he begins to become full of himself then the wrong picks starts coming in and if he isn't careful, he might lose everything he has gained including his invested capital.

That's how deadly the altcoins market are and shoudn't be given much attention when it comes to investing.Investment in Bitcoin should be the only encouraging idea as you save yourself a lot of lost by so doing. Bitcoin will always be profitable in every bull run but the same can't be said about a particular altcoins or them all in general. Therefore if you want to get the best out of Bitcoin then investing when the market is down is the best step to follow.

The Super Falcon's camp is in high spirits because of the arrival of many quality players including Asisat Oshoala and Desire Oparanozie. These two players have been playing well in their various clubs but they have not replicated the same performance on the national team. Oshoala plays in the national team with less vigor and determination different from her performance in Barcelona. Although it might not be unconnected to the poor administration of Nigerian football where footballers are not given the needed motivation and attention.

Don't blame them, even the boys are practicing the same strategy, they give it all in Europe but reserve their strength when they play locally and that's because the players here are more physical and very heartless. Also the resources here aren't up to the standard of those at Europe and if you're to get injuried in international football, the clubs surfers as they have to waste resources in treating you while you're not been useful to them. So the coaches might have gotten into this players head to not give their 100% to avoid this injuries.

Sometimes injuries gotten in international duties could lead to you losing your position in the team and that's why players are extremely careful when they play locally. The super falcons are already successful ten times more than the super eagles. I think all that's left for them to win is the Women world cups and as for other domestic cups they have won those numerously.
1437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 09, 2023, 08:18:47 PM
I agree that Luis Enrique and Nagelsmann are coaches that are suitable for Chelsea, but the problem is there is no further news about the future of the two coaches and we also hope there is an opportunity from one of the coaches to handle Chelsea next season.

It was all over the news that Nagelsmann was rumoured to be Chelsea next manager so what's Frank Lampard doing at the club or is he here to finish the job for Graham Potter, at this rate both managers will make me hate English managers because they're spoiling the club we love. This isn't Chelsea, I can't remember the last time we were in this type of situation that nothing we do is working for us. Todd Boehly is suppose to be a brilliant business man so why is he messing up so bad. I bet he must be regretting sacking Thomas Tuchel by now because the season is already a joke.

If Nagelsmann is going to be Chelsea new manager, why not appoint him now so he can start working with the players, train with them and get them ready for the next starting from the end of the season. Frank Lampard is looking more confused than Graham Potter. Nagelsmann needs to be appointed as fast as possible so he gets enough time to train during the presale breaks and get to know he players better. Todd Boehly should avoid the same mistakes he did this season by signing a coach very late and he didn't get any time to train with the players.
1438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 09, 2023, 07:10:13 PM
Chelsea will definitely try to perform at their best. And to repeat the events of 2020-21. In the 2020–21 season, they did not perform well in the Premier League but won the Champions League title. But this season the scenario is slightly different. Chelsea's overall condition is very poor. Their weaknesses in both attack and defense are quite visible. They also lost against Wolves in their last Premier League match. Is it possible to beat Madrid with such a poor performance?

I think this will be the very first time I'll be writing with some fear in me concerning this champions league game against Real Madrid. Frankly I thought the new manager factor will play in favour of Chelsea and we end up winning that game against wolves even though we have found it very difficult defeating them even when we're in our best form. The game was just a disappointment as that game has killed many fans hope they had for the champion league game. If we had win that game convincingly, I won't be here writing with such calmness in me. Real Madrid are a good side but not one Chelsea should be scared of.

Villarreal defeated Real Madrid in yesterday game so it isn't like they're undefeatable but one advantage Real Madrid has is that they can score goals meanwhile Chelsea looks like they don't know where to find the goal post to put the ball at the back of the net. Nobody in the squad can score and our only striker, Aubameyang isn't even eligible for the champion league squad because he wasn't registered and yet goalless players were registered. Well I just hope the game falls in Chelsea's favor because if we were to lose, then it'll be impossible to perform a comeback.
1439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 09, 2023, 06:44:05 PM
Chelsea have settled in solidly in the middle of the table, so they just need to finish this season. Lampard understands that he is just a temporary coach, so you should not expect any outstanding results from him. Maybe he wants to try to improve the game to get a chance to stay in the team, but if Boehly is currently looking for a new coach, then I will assume that Lampard does not have much chance.

But shoudn't he be more concerned on how to improve the team so he has a valid point of requesting for the job permanently. If he doesn't do well, he reduces his chances of getting hired by Chelsea or any other clubs but if he was to rescue Chelsea season, he'll have board members requesting for his time in the club to be extended and given the managerial role. Also this will help his resume and other clubs will come seeking for his skills to uplift there club too but no, Lampard doesn't understand any of that, he was very poor in his team selection in the game against wolves. I still don't understand why he didn't start Aubameyang.

Lampard first season at Chelsea saw Chelsea scoring lots of goals but we were poor defensively. Although majority of his prefer players aren't in the club anymore, on injuries break or not in form like Mason mount. But still he should have been able to get something from that game. I was just mad at the way kepa allowed that ball into the net, like that was supposed to be an easy save. When I see mistakes like this I begin to miss Mendy at the goal post. Now I'm scared for our next games. I thought we'll bounce back with Lampard appointment but things aren't pointing to that direction.

Sorry, this is not that related to this thread, but I want to know if there is anyone on this local board that brought this up: Lagos State unveils plans for crypto industry. It is about Lagos state unveiling plan towards crypto adoption. I think this will be a good move by the Lagos State government.

I think we dun discuss this kind talk before or something wey relate to am although no be topic on e own but na under that tinubu thread on adoption of blockchain technology, I been see news of the Lagos State government following the footsteps of their boss tinubu, wait make I search for am;
Dem say tinubu na talk and do, so make we dey watch, tinubu himself know say this blockchain adoption go benefit plenty people for him home state Lagos even though dem no vote am and I believe him go try make this happen.
The news wey I d receive be sae the governor of Lagos state Sanwo-Olu don follow em oga on top wey be Tinubu to approve cryptocurrency for youths in few days to election.
Quote
Despite the indefinite ban placed on cryptocurrency commercial trading by the Buhari regime and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is enticing youths in the state by floating the idea of cryptocurrency approval as he embarks on missions to canvass votes in a bid for re-election.
Link to info: https://gazettengr.com/sanwo-olu-entices-lagos-youths-with-cryptocurrency-approval-few-days-to-election/

So I no surprise if them follow up the matter after election and it wasn't just an election fake promises to get reelected into office, Lagos na better technology hub and if the government knows what's best for them, dem supposed dey welcome blockchain and technology developments since because na wetin dey bring better companies come a city be dat and Lagos need more of that.

In regards to your main topic of discussion, everybody is to be blamed including the federal government abi no be dem frist close borders before CNB begin their own mumu policies, everything works in a cycle and contributes to the interest of foreign investors. As the CBN ban banks from involving in crypto trading, why the federal government no talk sometime. They're all to be blamed for whatever is happening as a result of their decision. This government was just a confused one as I believe dem been just they try and taste to see which one go work without having anybody that can advice them on what to do and that's because they didn't have any intellectual person in their cabinet. Also as you talk, we dun dey bear market so obviously decline go dey for anything wey get to do with cryptocurency.
