1501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU Mining Coins ? on: November 05, 2017, 09:45:17 PM
Hi@all

can u say me whats the best cpu mining coins are today? are the 8700k better then the new ryzen?
is the profit enough to pay the power comapny bill :-)  ?

regards deadjoe

the best cpu coin for profit you will find right now (and has been minable for months) imo is zcoin.  The cpu:gpu ratio is SO close, closer than XMR, so its quite fair to mine on CPU Smiley
they wanted to try keep cost of hardwear similar, so a 1000$ cpu mines almost as good as a 1000$ GPU Smiley
Tbh tho, there's like 5 threads on this, read the board! haha
1502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does the end of the year affects the price of the bitcoin? on: November 05, 2017, 07:26:01 PM
As the end of the year approaches do you notice or do you expect any influence on the price of the Bitcoin?

it's kinda funny how it goes, as historically bitcoin has has nice rises during the holidays Xmas season, yet personally i always thought people would be SELLING more right now to pay for FIAT stuff, bills, xmas, etc ;p
Maybe some go into horde mode during this season Cheesy or maybe some GIVE BTC as a gift and thats why, who knows, the free market BTC has is impossible to predict imo
1503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: November 05, 2017, 06:33:29 PM
what power targets are most efficient for you? from my unscientific testing 66% seems to provide the best returns per watt.

i always found the magic number 71% on my 1080ti's but honestly its prob just the silicon lottery, 66-75% per individual card will likely be best
i just set my new ones at 71% till i get the time to tweak them individually ;p

Hi,

I am mining hush and getting ~3 Hush per day with 2 x GTX 1080 Ti on Suprnova.

Is that normal ?

its prob just luck, do the maths and ask yourself that question haha, all the numbers you have in front of you: blocks hit last 24 hours, your hashrate, historical 7 day blocks hit for luck calcs, dif charts on hush, etc ;p

1504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] HomeBlockCoin 🔥 on: November 04, 2017, 09:36:48 PM
its not really mineable for everyone easily in their homes as per the OP if it's x11, that's an algo only specific ASIC owners can mine Sad
Thats like 5% of crypto people, and MAYBE only 10% of miners, most are GPU miners...
Tbh the whole idea looks and sounds like crap, i wont even be mining this likely  : /

1505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ALQO] PoW/PoS 0,17% Premine | Quark | Instant TX | Masternodes on: November 04, 2017, 07:45:25 PM
Excited about this project and will be following it with all the intensity!!!

Sock Puppet alert!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2328904.msg24036845#msg24036845

all those accounts gonna get banned, the loser doing it is not even close to not ovbious Cheesy

@OP  i got excited when i saw Quark, then i remembered that algo got ASIC'd by Balkai a while ago now, so nothing here for me as a miner i guess Sad
Best of luck on your random shitcoin! Cheesy (i predict dumped at high dif and dead in 3 months or less)
1506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: November 04, 2017, 06:55:26 PM
hi all

for the last 2 months i have had nicehash miner 2 running full time on a home pc left on 24/7 but also the pc is used for daily us, it uses a Zotac 1080ti extreme edition on these settings http://prntscr.com/h65lq7 ie under clocked

here is a pic for the month

http://prntscr.com/h65mnl

is nice hash just for beginners? could i be getting a lot better return ?

if so which is the best way for a home pc

cheers

I've been using Nicehash miner for the last few months and it's easier to use but they take 3% of your earnings, the website has been showing different numbers from what the miner itself says it's doing. There is more profit in mining a coin directly I believe, but it depends on if you want to do the extra work.

I'm showing 135/MHs on Lyra2REv2 on 2 1080 Tis and the website is showing 120/MHs or less accepted speed.

Miner says $6.77 daily profit website says $5 daily profit.

I'm starting to think I should be just mining the coin directly, but it could just be the website is wrong.

the site is usually slightly off, this is normal in mining Smiley  go by your local miner for your exact speed Smiley   The pool can only GUESS your hashrate by your submitted shares in last few mins, with all the variables such as luck of your shares being sent, the pool is almost never accurate.
Ya nicehash is nice , pays well on 1070, but us 1080ti owners should mine directly, it always pays more to do something yourself and cut out a middleman imo Cheesy
1507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Obelisk tech to release Miner for Decred with the DCR1 on: November 04, 2017, 05:10:45 AM
So cool if they can deliver on their promises and deliver on time.

Hope this doesn't become like butterfly labs. Bitmain has been the reputable source and the only one I can trust.

As much as I would like to jump in on the obelisk, I see a bit of a risk with if their's delays, frustrations and questioning if it's more profitable to buy Decred at current cheap price instead of waiting half a year after price gone up and now ur mining at higher mining difficulties.

Maybe I'll just buy one and pray for the best b/c i like decred and being the first batch to mine can be profitable if all the stars align.

ya, it's kinda rough, they are honestly nothing but promises and more asking for money over and over here Sad no real tangible anything yet it seems Sad
the minebox? not delivered, nothing but words, their next ask after that for money for the SIA ASIC months ago? having trouble filling orders, NOW they are asking for MORE money for a DCR ASIC? pfft, not from me!
by the time this stuff comes online it will be obselete, ill put my faith in tim from zeropond having his dcr asic first as well even ;p
1508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH mining rig. Buy or Build? on: November 03, 2017, 06:28:20 AM
BUILD man, plus dont keep ETH in mind, it will be done PoW before most cards will ROI if bought today if you only mine ETH :/
building SEEMS hard off the bat, and it can have headaches, but you learn the skills REAL quick, unlike other things, i find the "learning curve" on building PCs (or "rigs") from scratch to be MUCH lower than other skills, once you are rollin you learn quick.
Most prebuilts are for sale as they are ROI for the owners + 10 month ROI prices, fuk that, buy NEW and do your OWN ROI imo
Good Luck!
1509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is SIA ,dgb dead..? on: November 03, 2017, 06:02:08 AM
is SIA ,dgb dead..?

i have 1 million coins for each..i spent around 5+ btc for this. now it is down of 10 times..
Can any one suggest me  can i withdraw it or keep it for feature...some guys are telling like this two coins are de-listed in trading platform soon...

which is correct decision...pls suggest me..>>>>

it's just Pow friend, you should never have bought a PoW coin with all the current factors, do more research next time! Sad
SIA is getting an ASIC, price down for that
BTC is on the moon, alts always fall mostly during that
ETH is getting closer to ending PoW, say hi to 1 million  GPUs needing something to mine

so many more factors= dont BUY PoW coins, you should have researched Sad

But never fear! everything pumps! haha
1510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1070 Ti benchmarked in Eth & Zec on: November 03, 2017, 02:15:38 AM
I currently have 1060s, 1070s, 1080s, and one 1080Ti.

I pre-ordered a few 1070-Ti.

I mine on ZPOOL on profit switching so... I think I will make a sheet showing the ZPOOL algos on each card vs. the cost... for my own reasons of course but I will share it when complete.

It may have a few specialties... for example the 1080s are great on a ton of algos where most folks don't consider them since they are bad at ETH.

agreed, for example, it would be interesting to see how the 1070ti does on LBRY algo.

Shit man, these benchs dont look good, i was really hoping the extra CUDA cores here would give a a solid mining boost, but i guess the mem bandwidth and such maxes out before those cores are even utilized fully i bet Sad
Bah, back to 1080ti till Volta i guess for me too... maybe the 1070ti A8G's i ordered will be better... maybe.. ;p
1511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ** Starbase ** Token Based Global Crowdfunding and Crowdsourcing Platform ** on: November 02, 2017, 10:49:34 PM
damn this ones still alive? Cheesy
i admit myself, (and it seems many others), didnt find much reason to invest in a platform that we already have like 5 of lol, so i didnt plan on investing
then it was delayed, go figure ;p
Here we go again! Cheesy

1513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PlaceholderCoin - Web-Based Mining via Forum (Not based on Post Count) on: November 01, 2017, 09:01:08 PM
I am looking for input on referrals: https://healthyworm.com/forum/index.php?topic=66

i just found the forum yesterday so i cant really add input on that, but i like the idea of re purposing coinhive here for an altcoin , im throwing hashes in now Cheesy
I read that link, and im not sure how many coins will be produced but 1 per referral shouldn't be too damaging? that way even if 40% fake, they only get a few extra coins
Those people will just dump them anyways asap likely.

I Await the wallet and first distro! Cheesy

1514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: November 01, 2017, 08:21:19 PM
Well Bitcoin gold mining gonna start soon , I predict its gonna be profitable in the beginning
it will also reduce the difficulty on the other equihash coins as people + nice hash buyers might switch and in return increase there profit also .
Bitcoin gold might be worth mining but in my opinion BTG might not be good for long time mining and selling after accumulating a lot .
For now I am mining z-coin buts its profitibility is decreasing but the power consumption is worth it Smiley
it will have large premine, so it doesn`t looks like powerful coin. also diffucalty will grow up very fast i think.

ya im not touching it, with the yuge premine, any involvement the community has will only fuel the value of the coins it cost them like no hashpower to get Sad
Diff will be exactly what they want it to be as they chose when to publicly let everyone else mine Sad
That coin was stacked  against us from the start, nothing there but speculation for the traders, everything pumps atleast once! :p
1515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VIVO - Masternodes, ASIC-Resistant, Secure, High MN Rewards, Decentralized on: November 01, 2017, 01:20:48 AM
@Peach   Thx for the exchange update, i admit that's all i came here to see, im still in accumulate mode anyways ;p
Is there someway to help mine up the DOT? i wish cryptopia had like a crowdfund DOT pool for listings like this :/
Do what you can, let us know what we can do to help! Smiley (i can send some DOT here and there)
1516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] FortKnoxster - Telegram on steroids. Sale 22 NOV on: October 31, 2017, 11:21:19 PM
like telegram? can you tell us what is the advantage of this project? good luck

Hi Adamasky, great question!
Well, Telegram is a really great chat platform and works well. FortKnoxster also has encrypted chat and group chat; however we have much more like encrypted cloud storage, encrypted audio & video calling, group calling, encrypted calendar, encrypted notes etc. FortKnoxster is all about at having ALL you communication and data storage needs, in ONE platform, which makes it extremely powerful!

Regards,
The FortKnoxster Team

hmm, that sounds interesting, im using Discord for alot of things, and now im thinking of how this compares to there, and i dont think Discord has cloud storage, thats a cool idea, nor a few other things you mentioned..
im kinda tired of ICOs, like alot of people i guess, but it's still a thriving funding method for projects so im sure this will get funding Smiley
Good Luck!
1517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is DogeCoin even worth buying? on: October 31, 2017, 12:53:45 AM
I see a large amount of sell orders for DogeCoin, and from the looks of the Bear charts, DogeCoin looks like a dying currency. If I was looking for a "long-term" currency, DogeCoin is the one I would avoid...?  Huh

Interested to hear the community's thoughts on this?

doge is a great way to move value between exchanges that charge fees not needed for the miners.  No exchange needs to charge 0.0015 like say yobit to w/d BTC, so if i need to move money out of there , screw yobit im buying doge and w/d doge for a few coins Cheesy
Doge is merge mined so it will go down sometimes naturally, but it always has a nice pump once or twice a year if you check the historical charts
1518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CPU mining] Yenten [YTN] [Exchange avilable BTC/YTN] on: October 31, 2017, 12:22:12 AM
still nothing here, about 35 hours now, zero blocks. oh well it was fun while it lasted and it only cost the price of a small chocolate bar lol

Same, no blocks here. Maybe in Japan they have their own pool already. At least the coin is selling for more now, up to 800 sats.

the hard thing here is there's really nothing stopping someone from doing the small mods to ccminer and GPU mining this :/
They could be already Sad So the community will just end up burning their CPUs and feeding the price with speculation.
Can't mine a block on an i-7 in a day, no pools, nothing for me here as a miner Sad
1519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]★CryptoBridge★BCO★🔹Decentralized EXchange 📈RELEASED NOW BETA🔹 on: October 30, 2017, 09:56:39 PM
Nova is being closed

yupp so basically everycoin there is in the red as nubs panic to get OUT ;p
Im still buying small amounts of this, there's a lot of decentralized exchanges in the works but this and OB are my two to win imo
They should partner with ARK haha, bring markets and chains together Cheesy
1520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: October 29, 2017, 09:21:49 PM
I have bought 1070, I will tell you about its specifications later on. I hope it won't have a very big difference with 1080
And soon 1070ti is approaching. I wonder, who good it will be

meh, most of us have 1070's , we dont really care about them in this thread Cheesy   This is for our 1080ti specific cards (as the title says lol)
I preordered a buncha 1070ti's, ill review them around Nov5th if noone else does here Smiley

Anyone mining Vivocoin? seems profitable on Neoscrypt, tho not on any good exchanges yet Sad  im mining a few, str8 selling them tho, masternodes seems expensive for a shitcoin Sad
noticed "klausT" miner does best hash, but it's been hanging for me so im using ccminer 2.2.2
