1521  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 16, 2014, 06:23:42 PM
I called an electrician and told him.. He's the one who advised me to add these new sockets. I'm guessing he's not a qualified electrician.
Is there anything in specific I should tell the electrician?

I'm not good at electrical wiring. Maybe someone else can help you, but I would tell him: "Yo dawg I need to plug 6 cables that will suck 1500W each. Do your stuff and I'm paying!".
1522  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 16, 2014, 06:11:08 PM
Ok.. Hosting seems to be bit expensive. I have allocated some rack space in my room near the window. And also with my air-con. I'm not fussy about the noise. The only issue now would be the power coming off the wall. I know London sockets support 240v. If I do plug two of the units will there be any issues like the units blowing up or anything?

What is the worst that could happen? Just my trip would be turned off right?

I can change the electrics in the room. I had to manually create extra sockets which I fed off another power wire.

You should call an electrician and inform him about your plans. The cost of re-wiring should be minimal.
1523  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: September 16, 2014, 05:45:26 PM
"Lying?"  How was Simon supposed to know on August 9, 2013 that BTC was about to set new records by rising 500-1200%?  No reasonable person would expect HF to be culpable for such an outcome, much less actually believe a tiny new start-up could meet impossible obligations.

Are you that stupid? In 2013 bitcoin went from $13 in January to $260 in April. That is 3 months for a huge increase. Hoping/believing that BTC will stay at ~$100 forever is purely retarded. Actually I think that even a retard would think that it is possible for the price to explode in the future after such a big increase. Except for Simon and HF crew who found it reasonable to stay at the same price forever. Go away with this idiotic posts please.

Lying requires intent.  There is no way Simon intended to lie, because on August 9, 2013 he did not know BTC would suddenly explode in value, making full BTC refunds impossible.  Are you saying Simon is psychic, or controls the price of BTC?  Do you know how crazy that sounds?

How about the lie that they will deliver miners in November while they received chips in November? That is pure intent lie in the face!
1524  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 16, 2014, 04:28:01 PM
Ok I will get them sent to a different hosting facility. Which country do you recommend for cheapest electricity and better service. Can I change the delivery address after I have placed the order for the SP-30's? How will the hosting work? The company will give me VPN access?

Yes you can change the delivery address after you place your order. Just send an e-mail at sales@ and ask for a confirmation.

I use Advania and they provide VPN at request, but you need to have a 6 months minimum contract, but you pay monthly. They are a bit pricey, but they have better rates than your UK power rates. If you want cheaper power I would suggest bobsag3 solution. Take a look here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622998.0 for various other offers, but these 2 are a good starting point.

...if you host in USA, you won't need to pay VAT when you import the units you intend to send there .. I dunno about Iceland

No VAT in Iceland either.

LOL
Here's the pictures.
........

I wanted proof of the 28nm chips. Speed and power consumption.

Hi Guys

My Findings regarding mining addresses:
.......

I know that people will bash me, but I will still state my view. Usually on this forum (especially in the Hardware section) people that come and give any kind of information on their first/firsts posts is usually frowned upon, yet here it's the other way around. I'm not saying anything else and I can't wait to see how will this develop.
1527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 15, 2014, 09:51:36 PM
So in theory:
Batch 1
Titan = 2500 * 300 = 750gh
Mini = 1200 * 150 = 180gh
Subtotal: 930gh
20% overclock: 186gh
Potential: 1.1ph

Batch 2
Titan = 2500 * 400 = 1000gh
Mini = 1200 * 200 = 240gh
Subtotal: 1240gh
20% overclock: 248gh
Potential: 1.48ph

Litecoin just saw a +16% increase in diff. Wtf?
1528  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [3500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: September 15, 2014, 01:12:02 PM
I'm thinking of switching to P2Pool but don't want to run my own node. I've looked at the node list and some like p2pool.org seem like scams. Can someone suggest a node in the southeast i"m in Charlotte NC? Would be running about 10-15TH depending on how I decide to split it. Thanks

http://p2pool-nodes.info/ Search here for an US node where you have the lowest latency. If you don't know what latency is then just ping the nodes from the same network as your miner and pick the lowest ping(measured in ms=milliseconds).

Good luck!
1529  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 15, 2014, 09:57:04 AM
you may be right.    if karma is an ill-reading, victim-playing, sarcastic genius

however wouldnt it have been 'better' for all concerned if it was explained clearly the first time instead of 'forcing' the inquisitive to KEEP ASKING..??

at the same time as expending the nergy to write a paragraph of pointless shit??

no?

really dont know?
i see...

2, 9, 13

I think karma is the most sarcastic thing ever and when it hits you, you have to take it like a man!

zvisha always replied to the subject when questions were asked and if he didn't gave you the reply that you wanted then it means that something is weird with the question or the situation. Paying attention and staying focused always pays better in the long run that being angry and complaining all the time*.

*Learned that from online games after a long time and after a lot of energy channeled towards the wrong things.
1530  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 15, 2014, 09:27:37 AM
indeed, again it saddens me that you are so right!
why the fudge they cant manage to just say what needs to be said instead of acting like cunts is beyond me.

but then im not the one raking in millions (and still have to sell pre-orders) so wtf do i know.

fuck the leds, and fuck the 'so smart they cant be bothered' haters...

it seems that even squeaky wheels are starting to get ignored, bodes well for the future does it not...

so as 'the time for refunds/coupons has passed' where does that leave those among us, (presumably just myself) that chose neither as they had other issues going on?

either?

neither?

possible to use for/against something that will be delivered within the next 30 days??

its like getting blood from a stone (or trying to break even) here

All I am seeing here is karma that is coming back to you, who can't understand that the damn 3, 9, 13 blinks aren't relevant to the rest of the miner. It's like the HDD light is blinking on my computer while it boots up. My Windows can work ok or not, but the damn lights blink the same all the time. It's not that hard to understand this from the above posts.
1531  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Avalon4(A3222) 28nm Chips are now on sales @ ehash.com on: September 15, 2014, 08:42:18 AM
F YOU scammers - reimburse people for your crap from last year. otherwise gtfo

You are supposed to forgive them now...it is different this time  Cool

f*ck yifu and his shady bs outfit. scammer for life. he can shove his tech up his as* until he reimburses what he stole

Bitsyncom(Yifu Guo) have left Avalon project, right now the Avalon project running by Canaan Creative, Ltd., (founded by     ngzhang) Locate Beijing China.

Then change the damn company name. "Avalon" makes me itchy! Is that so hard to find a new name?

Yep.
We've got the chips and tested(~2 weeks ago

You can check the datasheet and waiting for the machine
You'll never be disappointed Smiley

Why not show a proof? People need to pay for the chips in order to see for themselves the performance? Post a damn picture, video, whatever! Otherwise it's BS because you can write whatever you want in the datasheet.

Scammers!
1532  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 13, 2014, 03:35:44 AM
Any actual numbers about the P2Pool performance of these devices?  Is anyone out there willing to mine on my 0% fee p2pool node for a while so I can see what one could expect out of one of these devices?  If so, please PM me.

Code:
4.50 TH/s	314.96 GH/s	7.01%	0.03046278

I must admit that the hashrate and the DOA varies a bit. I will return on Sunday and I will update one more time.

As the guy who gets all the support emails, not true and not true.

That explains some things.
1533  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: September 12, 2014, 08:46:49 PM
Have you included the PCB design too?
That's only the imaginary chips IP cost. PCB design costs are way, way lower. If you released the chip specs under public domain on tapeout's day you would probably get a few independent community designs + the ones you paid for ready for when you have the chips in hand.

Yes, but the total cost for PCB design and/or the components for 5k miners should add more than 1M$. I am sure that you are aware that ordering LOTS of components needs upfront money and a lead time.
1534  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: September 12, 2014, 08:16:16 PM
Are their any details on the next gen IP?  I would think it would have to be 16nm or 14nm and be in the sub 0.10 J/GH to stay competitive.  The real question is how much additional work/money is needed to make this a working chip.
If I remember correctly HF paid more than one million in development costs* so far for the next gen ip (from the schedules/343 examinations) (that should be 16nm since that tsmc does 16nm) and they needed around another million to get it to the tapeout stage.
The actual tapeout should cost around 4x the 28nm one, not something easily affordable, especially since that no sane individual will invest in this market at those conditions.

*money that would (should) have otherwise resulted in more system shipped. Like 1.5M/$300 = 5000 boards. Because using money you don't have in shit you won't need is cool.

Btw, I would like to know more about Ralph's involvement with HF. Did I really pay that idiot to troll me?

Have you included the PCB design too?
1535  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: September 12, 2014, 08:14:06 PM
Here is another FACT: You will not see any dividends in September.

No, that's an opinion. How many times will this need explaining to you before you finally comprehend the difference between an opinion and a fact? Seriously, it isn't that difficult to understand, yet you continually demonstrate a complete lack of understanding. It really is remarkable.

How about we agree on "Future FACT"?

Edit:
Roadstress has a hard time managing a few topics.  In example, he believes that if a miner in its entire lifetime earns 5btc and costs 5btc (purchase +power)  then it's better to have your coins tied up in the miner instead of holding them because if you hold them you might get emotional and panic sell when you shouldnt.

You have been paying attention, not like the others. I salute you!
1536  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: September 12, 2014, 07:58:02 PM
FACT: With PSU and shipping included, 3 Tubes costs less than a single SP20 and will provide 2.4 Th/s compared to 1.7 Th/s.

But you also have to pay and support 2.4kW if you buy the tubes where if you buy the SP20 you only need to pay and support for 1.1kW.

Here is another FACT: You will not see any dividends in September.
1537  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 12, 2014, 07:48:19 PM
Reboot -
OK!  Now it looks like they all came up fine.  Now I am running at 4300 4455 on that one.  Been at 3000 all week.

Don't touch it now Smiley

It is funny. It is called emotions i guess. I would do the same as well sometimes. Point is spondo, bitfury, bitmain & AM are all serious but very different competitors and businesses. May the best one wins. ^^

Bitfury has >30% of the network. Bitmain has TONS of hashpower too (no idea how much, but it must be 10-20%). AM has what? 200TH/s on BTCGuild? Come on. Don't put the big boys in the same line with AM because they still have a long road ahead until AM equals Bitfury and Bitmain.
1538  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 12, 2014, 07:25:05 PM
Talk about hypocrisy.

Why not state your AM affiliation in your signature so that everyone can know that you are an AM shareholder that is shilling for AM products? When I was stating my opinions in the AM thread everyone (you included) accused me about being an SP-Tech shill that just wants to troll the AM thread. But when you come here praising AM products you are hiding that fact that you are an AM shareholder and that you have a gain from promoting the Tubes. You are talking about hypocrisy when you are doing the exact same thing. I date you to state your AM affiliation in your signature, but I know that you will not do it. Move along now...
1539  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 12, 2014, 07:10:35 PM
Yes. Last FW is 2.3.46.
OK- doing that now.  I didn't see the 'New!' label in the Firmware Upgrade tab.  So I assumed I was current.  But I see that it did indeed get a newer version.  I'll report back after an hour of observations.

Thanks!

Usually you don't see the "New!" laber in the Firmware tab right away so it's normal.

Update sw and see if issue reproduced
Updated software about an hour ago!  Smiley

It was running slow all last week and this morning I did the update.  After turning back on, I put the Max Watts to 1360.  But it doesn't get up to 4.0.

Firmware is 2.3.43
Do SW update again?

Yes. Last FW is 2.3.46.
